    Before We All Panic.....

To add to the idiocy -- let's just ignore all the years people have been vaping before this "crisis" came up and we're all healthier than we've ever been... but don't let facts get in your way. SMH

    Before We All Panic.....

The Independent published this article from a doctor. He is saying what we've known and is actually using common sense. I'm an American doctor. Here's the truth about Juul, vaping and legalizing marijuana https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/juul-ban-flavors-vaping-marijuana-legalize-a9161971.html

    Before We All Panic.....

I work with a girl who's SO became deathly ill "due to vaping". (When I questioned her, she admitted that it was black market THC her SO was vaping EXCLUSIVELY for a week, when she became ill and then CONTINUED TO VAPE THE STUFF!) Some of the other employees were blasting vaping on the spot because of this person's illness. So I posed the question, "ok, if vaping as a whole is responsible, why am I not ill or dead? I've been vaping for nearly 6 years." The room got totally silent. Then I explained, that I KNOW what's in my juice, because I make my own. What they NEED to be upset about is WHAT this person vaped and WHERE they got it, NOT with vaping as a whole. A few of the employees actually apologized, stating, if they had known that there was black market/tainted juice out there and that could have been the cause of the illness, they would have kept their mouths shut. I just reminded them there is always more to every situation than just what you hear/see on the surface, get the facts before you blow off steam.

    Before We All Panic.....

The latest CDC report 26 dead and 1200 ill. but then they say only 75% confirmed THC. so, what, the other 25% are liars?...... of course, I'm being facetious, I have no doubt that some of the deaths may have involved vapers with pre-existing health issues and were nowhere near THC. but I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers are fudged here. I just watched a news interview with a couple who's college age daughter got I'll "by vaping" - 5 minutes of the girl's parents professing the innocence of their sweet little girl and when the interviewer pressed further, "oh well, there was that one time when we caught her vaping THC but we believe her that she is not doing it now"......right..... I don't want it to seem like I have no sympathy for these people who are actually suffering from this. I do. It's a terrible tragedy. But the truth will set us free (get ti the bottom if this). Is that too much to ask?

  6. Hey Vapor Talkers, In an effort to keep spammers in check and to ensure new members take a few moments to get acquainted with Vapor Talk's features, all new members will be required to have 3 posts before being placed into the unrestricted 'VT Member" group. How does it work? What limitations will I have when I first join the forum? When first joining the forum you be limited to posting in these sub forums: Introduce Yourself New Vapers Forum Site Features, Requests and Help Vapor Talk Store Support Forum After 3 posts, you will automatically be moved into the standard user or "VT Member" group. From there you can post on the forum normally. But how do I get three posts? What if I don't have a question? What if I want to reply on another topic! The easiest method is to simply introduce yourself (see the Introduction Forum). Say hello! At the very least, a staff member will reply. You're also free to ask a question about your new device in the New Vapers Forum. I can't find the forums you mentioned This is partly why we have this minimal restriction. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the forum. This ensures you post in the correct area (ensuring your questions or topic is answers faster) whilst easing the workload on our awesome forum admins and moderators. I feel... feel so chained. I just want to ask my question. We know, we get it. But unfortunately, when dealing with a forum of this size, spam can be a real hassle. We're quite good at spotting it and removing it quickly. But this makes it much easier for us to keep spam limited to a single area. It makes clean up easy. We appreciate it. Feel free to start a new topic and jump in. Vapor Talk is well known for it's friendly members, help us keep that vibe going. Vaporesso Eco Nano review

USB-C! No power button, no airflow control nothing. Just filling the pod and taking a puff. The draw is definitely an MTL draw. A comfortable kinda loose MTL, but no restricted lung hits for this device.

    Vaporesso Eco Nano review

Nice review! I just have a few questions, though. What kind of connection does it take to charge? Is it a micro USB or C connection? I couldn't tell from the pictures. Also, does it just work by taking a puff, no power button? If just a puff, how hard is the draw and is there any way to adjust the airflow? Overall, it looks pretty interesting.

  11. A Vision Spinner 2 is just the battery part (the lower part with the on/off button). The tank that holds the eliquid and screws in on top of that is what has a coil inside that will need periodic replacement, what you're calling a 'cart'. If you're using a pre-filled cart/tank, they come preinstalled with the coils inside and it does not need to be replaced. Not knowing exactly the type and style of 'cart' you're using, I can't give you more specifics than that but all the pre-filled units I'm familiar with, none of them have coils that can be replaced, they're all one piece. That said, I'm also not familiar with any all-in-one carts that are used with Vision Spinners, only tanks. Good for you to start vaping instead of smoking.

    Where is everyone

Congrats on your retirement, @VapeMama! I just put my notice of retirement in a few weeks ago and my last day of work will be June 30th. Trying to get everything done so I can leave with a clean slate is keeping me very busy right now but my plan is to work extremely hard at doing absolutely NOTHING for the whole month of July. After that, plans are to tear into my apartment one room at a time to clean and purge and reorganize. Can't wait! Have fun with the kids and grandkids! I bet they keep you very busy.

  16. Here in NE Ohio things are steadily opening back up. Retail, restaurants, beauty/barber shops and SOME entertainment venues are open (indoor trampoline parks, bowling alleys, etc.). Movie theaters aren't open yet. Most primary care physicians here are doing telephone visits or video visits. About 1/2 of the people wear masks in public. I do only because I work in long term care and I don't want to carry anything I may pick up from the general public to the residents. Assisted living facilities/areas are permitted to have visitors but only outdoors. ALL long term care staff have to be tested (and every one is negative) before the facility can re open to visitors coming into the building. (Our testing date this June 26.) We are all screened with temps taken and a health questionnaire prior to clocking in each day. Our facility has had ZERO cases, staff and residents. We are fortunate as several facilities in our general area have had several to many cases among their staff and residents. Life is good!

  17. We just got the "use non-medical masks" whenever you go out order a few days ago, too. My SO was telling his boss that he's thankful I never throw anything away because a few years ago I purchased a box of 50 charcoal infused masks when there was a lot of flu going around. We had them on hand and now they've become very useful. I feel vindicated. *sniffs*

    New Jersey Flavor Ban

I am the type of person that researches new things to death before I start them. I have the safety glasses and gloves were included in the supplies I ordered. Kids and pets won't be a problem. We don't presently have any pets and the kids are now adults living on their own. I haven't ordered any flavorings yet. I suspect that will be the hardest part. I'm not one that jumps form flavor to flavor. I usually find a flavor I like and stick with it for long periods. Unfortunately the flavor I'm on right now is pretty complex and making it would be difficult. It is a popular flavor so I'm searching for recipes for it.

    No atominizor

My pleasure. Here is a link where DJlsb opens one up. You can see where the 510 is held underneath by a nut. That is probably loose. Unfortunately there is a good probability that the ground wire may have disconnected while the atty was spinning. You may have some soldering to do. You can watch how he puts it back together and get a feel for how much work might be involved.

  29. Decided to give squonking a try. My Fuchai 213 Squonk kit came today. (Why is it when you're waiting on vape mail the mail is always late??!!) I got the yellow color, though it's more gold than yellow. Also got a Dead Rabbit RDA. The reviews of the Cube RDA (that came in the kit) weren't particularly favorable for whatever reason, but it's working well so far, of course it's only been a couple of hours! I have the Rabbit if the Cube falls out of favor! The mod is comfortable to hold, menu easy to navigate, I'm good to go!

  31. There's simply no better RDA on the market. The Profile is miles above anything else out there. Best flavor, vapor production, ease of use, ramp up time, etc. I'm a huge fan of the Goon v1, but the Profile makes the Goon seem anemic. BTW - OFRF nexMESH strips make the Profile even better.

Help with Baby V8 T8 coils

Looks like @Bebop is doing a great job of getting you through this. Just as a couple of side notes: 1. Smok coils often are flaky. We get a lot of problems here with them. 2. Sometimes a mod will not read a new coil. One thing you can try is to fire the mod with no coil a few times and see if it indicates no atomizer. This may help it read a new coil when you put it on. 35 Watts into a .4 Ohm coil causes the mod to put out about 3.74 Volts. If the mod doesn't read the new coil and puts that 3.74 volts into a .15 ohm coil it will be developing about 93 Watts.

    Vape pen issues

The ones I had did have air holes in the very bottom, but I guess different brands have different designs. I tried cleaning the ones I had with rubbing alcohol, and it did help for awhile, but went bad again. About the only thing you can do is get a different setup that uses a fire button instead of depending on air flow to fire it. Don't know about the one you have, but mine had a hole through the middle of the contact pin for the air to flow, that's how juice got into the electronics.

    New to box mods

If you change your settings from TC to watts, you might get a better vape from your mod and tank. I'd start around 20 watts and take a puff. If that's not doing it for you, go up a few watts and try again until you get a harsh vape or a slight burnt taste. Back it down a touch and you should have your sweet spot for that coil. Just a thought.

  42. I like to use the old adage of “You’re more likely to die on the car ride to the airport than you are of dying in a plane crash”...are either modes of transportation 100% safe? Nope! But is there one that is statistically safer than the other? Yep! Like the poster above, there are studies and numbers and statistics and opinions that I don’t have the energy to go searching through, but another thing that it seems the anti-vaping folks like to throw around is how we truly don’t know the extent of the long term damage that vaping can cause as opposed to smoking, as vaping hasn’t been around long enough for there to be concrete facts on that. But, you can counter that by simply asking someone stating those things if they use a cell phone...because the technology used nowadays for cell phones is still pretty new if you want to look at things in the viewpoint of if it can cause long-term damage. For all we know, 50 years down the road they may discover we have been slowly melting our brains or causing some sort of damage to our dna because of so much cell phone use...but does that possibility of something bad being discovered 50 years down the road going to make you toss your cell and go back to a landline or even possibly a rotary landline (because wireless phones might possibly be causing us to go sterile after 75 years of use)? I very much doubt you’ll get anyone to engage you in any debate after that because of this pesky thing called “logic” that seems to be lacking in the folks that say vaping is just as dangerous as smoking. So...if you’re thinking of giving up vaping and going back to smoking because if both are potentially bad, you might as well go with smoking...that’s your choice...but then you’d have to give up riding on planes, because if you can die from a plane crash the same as you can from a car crash, why bother stepping on the plane even if the odds of dying on the plane are one-in-eleven million as opposed to the one-in-five thousand odds of dying in a car crash?

  45. Hi All, I came across this thread when looking for solution for the LOW RES problem on the NX75/EVO75. I started suffering from it after I had dropped my mod by accident. I'm posting my solution here in the hope that it may help others. In my case, it was a large surface mount chip in the center of the back of the PCB that had come loose on one point. (I'm guessing it's some kind of regulator, it's the biggest package on the board) After soldering it back in place the mod worked like before. You could also wedge it in place by putting a small piece of paper behind it, if you can't solder it. Looking at the size of the solder joint, that chip should not have come loose. I blame bad solder work. You will need a T5 Torx screwdriver to open the modbox. Best of luck.
