I have passed enough things around in my life it doesnt bother me at all to let someone take a draw off mine. They usually cough their heads off for some reason. That never happened to me when I started.3 points -

I have a fishing tackle box I keep all mu stuff in at home. It has steadily grown, and I keep it in the basement where it is cool. It contains all my liquids in the bottom and then all the accessories in the slotted drawers. Actually works great and I can keep my different stuff in different areas and when I go on an extended trip out of town or a boat trip down the river, the whole case goes with me.3 points -
HH.357 - First Impression
tzymroz2013 and one other reacted to Rixter for a topic
My HH.357 2Ω Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer from Avid Vaper just arrived in today's mail. This is one that I've been anxiously awaiting because...well, because it's an HH.357 drip atty! I've been wanting to try one for over a year now...I just didn't want to spend over $25 (shipped) on a single atomizer, but after seeing that they weren't just a flash in the pan (here today, gone tomorrow) I decided that now was the time, so I bought one. I followed the instructions Avid Vaper provided on their product page to the tee, and I can tell you that this is the best performing atomizer I've ever tried. I've used quite a few different atties since I started vaping, but the taste of my juice is definitely better by far in this one than in any of the others. The taste and vapor production at 8 watts is on par with a well set up RBA. Now I see what all the hype was about. I've heard that these last a really long time, too...I'm hoping for at least six months with proper care. My last atty, an Empire Mods 1.5Ω Premium Bridge Free LR901, lasted about 7½ months, and cost $7.49 + shipping. It was a great performer, too...just not as good as the HH.357. The taste is pretty incredible. I still love my RBAs, but they have to be set up properly to really shine. If money's not a concern and you want the best vape you can get right out of the package, the HH.357 is what you want.2 points -
That's exactly where I plan on using mine. I'm not ready to let my better half know that I spent $45 on a battery. She just wouldn't understand.2 points

Needing E liquid Advice
Tam and one other reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
You are going through nicotine detox. We all did. Its nothing more than that. If the liquid tasted good and all of a sudden doesnt its because as your tastebuds heal things taste differently. Your taste for liquids will change as well. Example when I first started all I wanted was a tobacco flavor. Now I only vape it because it goes good with whiskey lol. I never smoked a menthol cig in my life, and when I first tried Spearmint I thought it was vile. Now is is one of the three flavors I switch throughout the day. The whole "PG Allergy" thing gets overplayed as much as ADHD does in children. It is in things you encounter every day, if you were allergic you would most likely know before you started vaping. My taste for food has even changed. I never liked Hummus, now I can eat a tub of the stuff. Same for celery. Bot now that I can actually taste fast food, I tend to stay away from it lol. Its kind of amazing how badly smoking rapes your tastebuds and sense of smell. Another thing is you need to have a few flavors to switch between because you will get so used to the taste of one you wont taste it as well. I have also found only the 100% USA made liquids are never perfumey. I suggest Sweet-Vapes.com or Vape-Dudes.com and strongly advise you to stay away from Dekang isf you don't like the perfumey chemically taste.2 points -

Synther and one other reacted to Troubadour for a topic
Hi everyone, hope everyone's vapping well. Well it started 30 years ago behind my buddy's dad's shop. When my buddy came up to me and opened his hand and said, "you want to go smoke it" at first I said no but did it anyway. So started my 30 year love hate relationship with cigarettes. I really never felt any effects from smoking until I hit my 40's,I'm a lead singer in a band The Troubadours it got to the point I felt like I was going to pass out on the stage during the first few songs of a gig. I couldn't even walk to the mail box without being out of breath. Smoking was effecting every part of my life one of the most important things it was effecting was sex I didn't have the energy to. I'd be out of breath before it got started. I knew I had to quit but couldn't fine anything that could help me quit smoking. I tried everything from patches to the pill even the e cigs you buy at the stop and go store nothing worked. Even after watching friends and Family members take their last breath in the Hospital from the damage that smoking did to them. I remember leaving the hospital after my father-in-law died from complications brought on by smoking. My wife and I were walking to our car and the first thing we did was light a cigarette. I looked at her and said, "What the hell are we doing we have to quit" and she said," yes I don't want our kids to have to go through what we just had to". So a year went by still smoking. Then one night about 3 months ago around 2 in the morning I had to wake my wife and 3 kids 12,10,and 5 up to take me to the hospital cause I couldn't breath after test were run the doc came in and said everything looks ok but, and I thought I hate when a doctor says but anyway she said after looking at the x-rays and listen to your lungs your lungs sound like a 70 year old man and if you don't quit smoking you'll probably be dead by the time your 60. I've heard the doctors quit smoking routine for years but this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. We left the hospital and the next Friday I started vapping I have not touched or wanted a cigarette since. It is incredible how better I feel the first week I notice my voice was getting stronger the first gig we played I didn't feel like I was going to pass out on stage and now after a 9 weeks of vapping mom and daddy time is so much better actually everything is getting better praise GOD food taste better i've got a ton of energy I can smell better I'm not waking in the morning hacking my lungs up. vapping may or may not be a totally healthy thing to do but it's a 1000 times better then what I was doing before I found vapping. My wife and I are now in the process of opening a vape store here where we live in NC so we can spread the vape. Happy vapping everyone.2 points -

congratulations on quitting and welcome to vt. hey just an idea but i wonder if you hung a plaque or something in your soon to be store about you quitting if other people would read it and try vaping instead of dismissing it like most smoker's do, like i did until i tried a ego kit. my counter down below says the rest.2 points -
Oh man, I tell you one of the, if not 'the', best books I ever read was Creighton's 'Timeline'. Wow, did that take me to another place.2 points

The "snap, crackle, pop" when you trigger the battery is a good sign. That means its cooking the juice and giving you vapor. The gurgling is more something you would get when you draw on the mouthpiece. Its like when you're at the end of your soda thru a straw. That's a leak and that needs to be fixed before continuing to vape. Pull it apart. Blow thru the mouthpiece into a napkin. Dab up the juice. Dab the top of your battery and try it again. But you mentioned the "snap crackle pop" diminishes as you vape. That tells me your vaping faster than the juice can wick. With the clearomizer you have (CE4 style), you may need to tip it to keep up juice flow. Also, it is my opinion that I get the best performance from the ce4 with a low resistance coil (1.8 ohm). You're probably going to start customizing your set up. You can pick juices that have a 60/40 pg/vg ratio. That should help juice flow. You can play around woth draw speed. How tou pull on the mouthpiece has a great deal to do with satisfying vapor. And dont be afraid to swap out coils. Thicker juices can gum up a coil pretty fast If I were you I would drop the CE4 and go straight to the Kanger T2. You will definitely notice an improvement in performance. For now, play around with what you have. You'll learn a lot.2 points

Welcome to VaporTalk! You've come to the right place. Many of us were chain smokers, or on our way to becoming chain smokers and know what you're facing. Switching over to vaping is the best decision I ever made. I tried everything else out there, and always had epic fails. The harder I tried to quit, the more anxiety I would feel, and the more I would smoke. A totally viscous cycle. During my first week of vaping, I discovered that I actually preferred vaping... the smell, the flavor, the vapor... everything positive was doubled. For me, there were the dreaded 5 that I had a hard time giving up, but when I was ready, I challenged those and those too went away. Tell us a little more about your habits, likes and dislikes. Menthol? Camels? Work at home? Work breaks only? Oh, and btw, I smoked for over 45 years and was almost up to 3 packs a day when I started vaping. (Camel filters and Marlboro reds). What helped me? eGo type of battery. Today the eGo Twist or the Vision Spinner are even better. Cartridge and Boge Carto's. Today, the Viva Nova v2 and the Kanger ProTank are even better. There are others too, of course, but these are the ones I'm most familiar with. Come on in, pull up a chair, grab a cookie, and get ready for the info that will change you into an ex-smoker once and for all. Welcome.2 points

Needing E liquid Advice
Bradb2014 reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I drink a ton of sodas, and for that matter a ton of Makers Mark on the weekends and I get dehydrated as hell now and never have before. That is the only side effect I have had. I have to force myself to drink a bottle of water for every two drinks I have and cut back my soda intake by only having one a day at work with lunch and drinking water the rest of the day. It has helped me immensely. I got so dehydrated over Memorial Day weekend I ended up in the hospital with congestive heart issues because I rehydrated faster than my body could process the fluid and ended up with about 12lbs of unwanted fluid that wouldn't go out. Needless to say, constant hydration is key with vaping.1 point -
Each vendor will have their own rates. The Marketplace is just a collection of the stores. Think of it as going to the mall. All different stores under a single roof. What the marketplace did was bring in a bunch of vendors to one site, rather than going to each vendor site seperately. If you order from different stores in different areas of the country, each store will have its own shipping. No way around it. If you went to Site 1 and ordered something, you would get a shipping charge. Now, you want something from Site 2 - who also has a shipping charge. You have to pay for shipping. It doesnt matter that it is going to the same place, it is coming from two different vendors.1 point

Your battery should have a "protect " mode. If the atomizer is shorted your battery would shut down. Happened to me a couple times. You just have to connect the battery to the charger briefly to reset. I had a battery that was fully charged and an atomizer that was brand new but had a short. The battery triggered. I reset it by connecting it to the charger for a few seconds. It reset and had a full charge. Originally I thought it was the battery because it wouldn't turn on after it faulted. I reset it and it was fine. I have gotten a couple of bad atomizers right out of the box. And I've had a couple go bad very quickly.1 point

The third book of the series I was talking about is The League of Night and Fog.1 point

I've learned quite a few things from well written fiction, for instance currently reading 'Avenger' by Frederick Forsyth. A fiction novel which taught me that the bravest, the toughest, and the most fearless in Viet Nam wasn't the Green Berets, the SEALS, the Rangers, etc., but a elite group I knew of, but knew little about, the Tunnel Rats. What they would do is beyond my comprehension. Thank you Mr. Forsyth.1 point

I'd say that the AGA-T2 is probably the best bang for your buck. It comes with SS mesh and Kanthal to get you started, so you don't need to buy anything else right off the bat, and it's about the easiest RBA to set up that I've tried. Empire Mods has 'em for $24.99 + shipping. I know...I know... PM me and I'll try to steer you to some good threads here at VT for RBA basics.1 point
-
I'll put it this way: I've got four mech mods with RBAs on 'em, and I re-coil EVOD and eGo clearos for myself and my wife. It took me a few months to use up the meter or so of wire I've bought since I started making coils, so I should be good for...I don't know...EVER!!! PS - The best part about RBAs is that once you have a proper coil made, it lasts for a really long time. I've yet to have an RBA coil pop once it was set up right. My first RBA, a UD AGA-T2, has been running on it's first (correctly made) coil since February or March...it's been so long that I don't really remember the exact date.1 point

I don't know which Clearomizer I have. The little instruction card left much to be desired, as far as such info is concerned. I am hoping, however, that the attached photo will offer a bit of clarification to any readers of this posting. One thing that I did find is that my kit is an eGo C-Twist, instead of (what I had thought was) an eGo Twist. Now, of course, it is possible that they are both one and the same. That, I don't know.1 point

A lot of what you describe was my first week after stopping tobacco. I tried to go cold turkey and the cramps, gas, bloating, quesiness, and sick feelings were my detoxing I think. Also the nervousness and anxious almost paranoia. (I used to smoke cigars and inhaled so I was very high nic) Instaed of breathing better for that week it got worse and I went to my Dr. I told him what I was doing and he said to get a 7-11 e-cig to get the nic to ease my withdrawls. He offered patches but I didnt want those. After going thru maybe 10-15 njoy's I found this place. I have been helped tremendously and now am stable-ish! Go see your Dr. Read the posts and try some things. We will all help and so will I. Just dont go back to tobacco as it will kill you and your family. (and you could go thru this all over again) I havent been better very long but many here have years!1 point -

A friend just got a Vision Victory clearomizer and sold me on it. Went to my local brick and mortar and...went a little nuts. One red and two clear ones jumped into the bag all by themselves. The Vision Victory's review will follow soon. He now stocks Vision Spinners in 900 and 1300 mAh in all colors. I've been looking at the forest green and burgundy ones but could never find them online. Um...those two (900 mAh) followed me home. Hey, I couldn't decide between the two colors. The green one had a squishy button so I took it back and got it replaced. BIG MISTAKE -- walking back into that store. Lol. One of the guys working the store started talking about a Vision Eternity RBA. Been looking at various RBA for awhile now. He explained how to recoil and showed me a few tricks and...it followed me home too. *sighs*1 point

Actually, atomizers predate cartomizers by quite some time, but they did have a lot to do with the birth of cartomizers. The very first e cigs were fed by poly-filled cartridges that you filled with e-liquid and slid into the end of an atomizer. The saturated poly-fill in the cartridge pressed against a stainless steel "bridge" above the atomizer's coil to transfer the juice into the atty's internal wick & coil. It didn't take long before some more adventurous early vapers tried dripping juice straight onto the atomizer's coil (bypassing the use of the cartridge) and found it to be quite tasty. Later, the atomizer & cartridge were combined into one unit for convenience and the cartomizer was born, but due to the excellent flavor it provides, the "dripping" trend remains alive (and very popular) to this very day. Sorry...I got off topic.1 point
