  1. Hi there, Bebop12. A few hours ago I visited the local vapor lounge, looking for a Davide Clearomizer. They didn't have one of those, but they did have the KangerTech Protank ll. I picked one of those up, and had hoped to be good to go. But I will have to revisit the outlet again, tomorrow. The setting that the seller said was suggested (and what he set it on) did not work. I was drawing nothing but air and, needless to say, vapor was at a real bare minimum. It was only when I increased the voltage setting that I was able to get more vapor. As far as the TH's are concerned, this thing didn't even have a decent hit on the 'first' draw - like with my other clearomizer. Not only that, but this thing is leaking like crazy.
  2. My USA Tobacco juice (which is just abour depleted, now) is 24mg. Yes, my vapor amount is quite high. I can blow out from my mouth, a number of times, before the vapor is finished flowing. I will look into that clearomizer you mentioned, and hope that it helps out.
  3. It has been a month since I bought my vaping kit (eGo Twist), and the same length of time that I have been having 'TH' weaknesses. I did address this matter, in an earlier thread, and responders did share their opinions on what the problem might have been due to. But no matter what I try, I simply cannot alter the state of things. I do have an issue with a leaking clearomizer, but I do take periodic steps to insure that the little spillage is cleaned up. It had also been suggested that I might have been drawing a little too fast, when vaping. I made certain that I was doing so at a proper rate, but that hasn't changed anything either. Both batteries can be fully charged, yet the same weak TH's (excluding the very first) are experienced. Another thing which had been touched on was the Pg/Vg property values of my juice(s). There isn't anything on either of my bottles to indicate what their values would be, but I don't think that this is the problem, either. I say that because of the fact that my first draw - after powering either unit on - will result in a very good hit. The next draw will be about 50% of the previous TH. the third will be about half of what preceded it, and all the others would offer no TH strengths at all. Oh, I would get vapor - and lots of it. But no throat hits. Now, if the Pg/Vg values were off from where they should be, it would seem that I shouldn't be able to get strength at all - not even on the first draw. In the month that I have had this thing, there's been no slackening of consistency regarding the described behavior. I don't know if it would be realistic to expect any portable vaping device to yield constant strength throat hits, and that is because I am still relatively new to all of this. But that is what I am going to need, in order for me to put up a worthy battle against analog cigs. I am really hoping that someone, here, might have an answer for me. Whether it would be buying another clearomizer (from another manufacturer) which would fit my battery, or purchasing a whole new device altogether. Advanced thanks, Nathan
  4. A few days ago, I was down to about a third of one of my 3.7 sample bottles of juice. It was the USA Tobacco flavor, which had a nicotine stength of 18mg. As I wasn't getting the TH that I sought for (after the first 2-3 draws) I opened up the 24mg bottle, and filled clearomizer to the specified amount. I didn't notice much of a difference, at all - until the day before yesterday (and the difference wasn't about TH's). On the morning of that day I woke up with, what appeared to be, a sore throat. Unlike the sore throats that I was used to getting, this discomfort was not brought on by swallowing. Anytime I inhaled (not just vaping) I could feel a dull pain, seemingly, in the back of my throat. It began to be coupled with a headache (which I very seldom get), and then began to descend into the upper regions of my chest. I am still going through it, but (right now) it is not as bad as it had been. I have read, on this forum, how some vapers had experienced headaches and/or chest pains due to starting to vape, and I would like to know if what they underwent bore any striking resemblance to what it is that I am going through. One other thing: Before this discomforting condition set in, I poured the balance of my 18mg bottle into my 24mg bottle. I am wondering if I should just toss that bottle out, altogether, because of the possibility that I might have done a bit too much by doing that. Nathan
  5. Yeah, I figured that my very minimal usage would get a chuckle out of you . But it IS the truth. I surely didn't want to risk damage to any of the components by drawing through a defective clearomizer. believe me - had everything felt right with my vaping sidekicks, I would have gone through much, much more than that little 3.7ml bottle. Regarding the tobacco flavor, I didn't want to move too far away fromt he tobacco taste that I was getting from analogs. I knew that there wasn't going to be an exactness, between the tobacco flavored juices and the real tobacco taste of a cigarette, but the closer I could remain TO that taste (at least for a while) the better. The pg/vg numbers that you asked about are not listed on ANY of my bottles, and I most certainly won't be going back out to the reservation to replenish my juices. There is a vapor lounge not far from where we live, and it is there that I will be making such purchases. I am sure that they will have juices with their property ratios listed.
  6. No, i don't do lung hits. I draw into my mouth, and inhale as my mouth leaves the mouthpiece. I started with one of teh sample bottles that came with my kit, and they are all 18mg. Just yesterday, however, I opened up the 24mg USA Tobacco flavor that I had bought (extra) and gave it a go. Not much difference to me. I think that I have had this kit about a week, now, and you may not believe it when I say this - but I hadn't even completed that one 3.7ml bottle. In fact, I poured the balance (about a fifth of that bottle remaining) into the 24mg bottle, after using some of that one in my clearomizer. I hadn't fooled much with it because of gaining information that using it, in the state that I had presented, might damage the units. Of course, the juice (from what I have been able to gather, here) I am using could, very well, play a large role in the scheme of things. another thing, is my adjustors. On the bottom of each of my two batteries there is an adjustor, and they range from 3.2 to 4.8. In all honesty, I can tell no real difference betwixt the minimum and maximum settings. Maybe it will work for me ( for a while) owing only to the fact that I am new to vaping. But I do (as soon as finances permit) want to get into a REALLY GOOD portable vaping system. I am now exerting myself towards researching these things much better/deeper, in hopes of being very well armed to make a GOOD buy on my next purchase.
  7. Thanks for your mentioning what you did. There were two issues, mainly, that I had with my units: (1) was the 'always green on' charging lamp condition, and (2) that gurgling sound upon each of my draws. As I think I mentioned, earlier, my kit came with three Clearomizers. Two of them were disposables, and the third is a permanent one - allowing for wick changes (of which a spare wick did come with it). Just yesterday, I forewent the disposable clearomizer that I had been using, and attached the permanent one to the battery. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the gurgling, upon draws, had totaly stopped. Now, I seem to get nothing but what I should have been getting all along. Though my TH's aren't totally consistant in their strengths, I AM getting much better out of my vaping than I was. So, that concern is all but eliminated. With you divulging that your charging system behaves much in the same manner as mine, I think it is safe to rest assured that - just maybe - I am paired with a properly functioning vaping kit. So, I will finish up these analogs I bought, and get back into the swing of battling them again.
  8. Thanks, VC1. I really feel bad, due to the fact that I broke down and bought into those damned cigarettes again. The one good thing is that they taste a whole hell of a lot worse, since my vaping experience. Two days ago, I visited one of the local vapor lounges, and had one of my vaping units with me. I desired for them to check it out, and render their verdict to me. They seemed to be, pretty much, in consensus with most others - in that my system wasn't a bad one, at all, to start with. They couldn't say anything about the USB charger, owing to the fact that I didn't have it with me. The leaky tanks, however, seemed to be due to the fact that they were disposables. I explained that I also had a third one, which was a permanent one, that I hadn't yet tried. They seemed to beef the mind that the permanent one might nit exhibit the same leaky conditions. But the disposable ones did figure into the cost factor for the kit, and I wish to get my monie's worth. Right now, I am awaiting a response from Liberty (manufacturer of my kit), to work out a return/replacement manner. I can't wait to get set straight, with this concern, because of knowing how very helpful my vaping kit will be in my being able to permanently stand away from cigarettes.
  9. The gurgling that I get doesn't go away. It will lessen, a bit, with each draw (during a vape session), but never does it drop completely out. I have followed your suggestions on how to cure a leaky situation, but that hasn't brought about any change. Both of my units are exhibiting the very same conditions, and methinks that there may indeed be something wrong with the units, themselves. I do know that there is certainly something going on with the charging mechanism and/or batteries. According to the instructions, the light on the battery is supposed to blink 3-4 times when it is in need of a charge. That, it does do. However, the USB connector's lamp is supposed to illuminate red, which it does not. As soon as this connector is married to power (whether via the wall wart, or direct connection to a computer) its lamp will shine green - whether a battery is attached, or not. It is only supposed to show that color when the battery has reached full charge. I am about to make another call back to Liberty, and make some arrangement (hopefully) to get this matter very satisfactorially resolved.
  10. I don't know which Clearomizer I have. The little instruction card left much to be desired, as far as such info is concerned. I am hoping, however, that the attached photo will offer a bit of clarification to any readers of this posting. One thing that I did find is that my kit is an eGo C-Twist, instead of (what I had thought was) an eGo Twist. Now, of course, it is possible that they are both one and the same. That, I don't know.
  11. You know what? Your mention of 'gurgling' brought something to mind; something that I'd thought was normal. Each time that I depress/hold the button - in preparation for a drag - I do get a gurgling sound. In fact, on each successive action I will get that same sound, though not quite as pronounced as on the precedding time. Again, I thought that this was characteristic of proper performance. When filling this unit (I am still working on my first fill) I made sure (or, at least, thought I did) that I got no juice down that center, tubular opening, and I always do my best to keep my device in a near upright position. Maybe I have done something wrong, and that the error might indeed be with me - not the vaping unit. I am also going to try slower pulls/drags on my next vape cycle. Maybe that, in itself, might make a difference in the TH strength received. But the good thing behind all of this? When I look at myself in the mirror, now, I honestly believe that I am looking at a permanently smoke-free man. This eGo Twist is twisting me totally away from those terrible analogs. And I am SO thankful (my family is, too).
  12. Well, I had looked on the bottle's label, but saw that there were no values listed - save for nicotine (18mg), and liquid content (3.7ml). As far as the juice's thickness is concerned, I guess that I could liken it to the consistency of cough syrup. I am pretty much in the dark about a number of things regarding my kit, and wished that I hadn't been so hasty in purchasing it. Oh, I would have wound up with one from somewhere - that very same day - but I (knowing what I know now) would not have bought from where I did. There is no ratio information on my juice bottles; the adjusting cap, at the bottom of BOTH of my battery casings are all but impossible to turn, and there isn't any information, anywhere in the packaging, which states what MAH rating the batteries are. It is my assumption that the adjusters will, eventually, turn a bit easier with use, but it would have been nice to know the rating of the batteries in my units. As I had already mentioned, I am not into heavy vaping, but what vaping I DID do, today, should have drawn the battery down some - especially with my having forgotten to initiate that 5-button press within 1-1/2 secs. To power down. However, when I put the unit on charge, tonight, it's battery was still green. Now, either something is wrong with BOTH of my batteries, or they are of a higher capacity rating than I had figured them to be.
  13. Very good question, and one that I have absolutely NO CLUE as to what you are asking . Please let me know how to go about finding such info out. Advanced thanks.
