I've only been vaping a week and have already converted a friend who's now on her third day analog free and her husband is playing around some with hers and is considering making the switch. My dad has been a smoker since he was 8 (he's 57 now) and is total skeptic thinks it won't work and I will be back on the analogs in two months. So being the loving daughter I am I turned it into a bet. If by dec 1st I'm still analog free I get to break bad with his credit card and set him up with a kick butt starter kit and an upgraded kit for me plus a massive (and oh will it be) juice order so we can find him a perfect juice. I love my fathers inability to turn down a bet since he thinks hes never wrong (gotta love that irish blood). When I win you guys can help me shop!

The biggest problem with any atomizer not being able to fire on a mod is overtightening. New vapers have a tendency to crank down atty's onto their devices. It doesn't even have to be snug, just screw down until you get a little resistance and it's down. The Vamo was very susceptible to pushing the center pin down causing no connectivity, i can imagine most any mod can have this problem.

My opinions regarding the vamo. It is a good starting mod. It's heavy. If you can deal with the 33mhz chipset (rattlesnake sound) great! Personally, i can't stand it. To me it gave an inconsistent vape, due to the pulsing, no matter how fast it happens. I noticed a humongous difference when i went past the Vamo.

If i was purchasing one of the mods you have listed it would be the MVP, it can go all day on a charge, has 510 and ego threads, can vape while charging if needed. MVP 2 has variable wattage and an ohm checking ability as well. All around a solid device.

However if you really want to go with replaceable batteries i would go with the SVD. I progressed from my vamo to the svd. It is capable of all 3 types of batteries as it is telescoping. variable voltage/wattage etc all the same bells and whistles. It is lighter then the vamo as well. It also has the cool distinction of looking like a lightsaber! Can't lose with that!

Enjoy your choice whichever it is.

I've been waiting quite some time for Provape to update the feature set of their high quality device but it appears that they're content to let the Provari achieve high quality dinosaur status. So I just pulled the trigger on a SvoeMesto Semovar SM V3

    from Vaperev. Can't wait.

I have to stick up for my local B&M. They are not all bad. I happily pay $30 for 3-15ml bottles of the most vapable stuff I've ever encountered. The gear is over priced but is it unfair? Not really, IMO. Sure, I buy mostly on line but getting out and helping a B&M that's worthy is good too.

My profile pic gets changed when I change Facebook ....Usually for their Birthdays!

Thats our third child, Crockett the Rocket...he's a Rat Terrier, but a big one! He was owned by our neighbor Pete, who was in the Army Reserves, and got called up to Afganistan, when Crock was just a pup, and asked us to keep him until his return, as Crock was already freinds with our bunch, Max and Mattie the Toy Fox Terriers ( siblings now 14!) and Rockoman a medium sized Jack-Rat Terrier cross, the same age as Crocky (now 9) Yes four terriers...don't ever try this at home, you wont ever be in charge again!!

Pete gave his life in Afganistan, his parents came to empty and sell his house, and we offered to keep Crockett, they didn't even know he had a dog, and they were so low, it seemed to take another burden off their shoulders. It's been several years now, but we still take Crockett by himself ( doesn't happen often unless it's to the Dr.) downtown to watch the parade on Veterans Day..

Okay, so I finally took the plunge. Went to my local B&M and got a stainless steel Evic starter kit, the matte black replacement body, two 18650 B 3400 mAh batteries, the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 battery charger and a 5-pack of 1.8 ohm KPT coils as a late birthday present to myself.

When I got home I found my package of juices from Medic. Yay!

All in all, it's a very good Friday. Now, I just gotta go through this novel that they call a "users' manual" to figure out how to work this Evic. Can't wait until my batteries get a full charge to give it a go.

Please provide manufacturer links to substantiate. I'm sorry if you feel I come off snippy but misinformation only serves to heighten misplaced hysteria.

I first became involved in electronics about 50 years ago when I was a kid. As someone else posted, the AC adapter is comprised of transformer circuitry to step the voltage down and a rectifier circuit to convert alternating current to direct current. It is the charger circuity that provides any level of protection and that circuitry is in the charger, not the AC adapter.

You mentioned that you now only sell high quality charging equipment. You might want to re-read my original post.

I caught a quick post last night mentioning this little B&M in Louisville, Colorado. I did a little google search and found them on Facebook. So, being my day off, I took a trip to this lounge.

I was impressed! Great e-liquid selection! They have their own house liquids which were all quite nice. I bought their LV-426. They also carry Roar Vapor, Hella Vapor and Fuzion. I think I tried every flavor they had in stock. They also have a great selection of mods and starter sets. Their prices are pretty reasonable for a B&M.

I spent quite a bit of time in their store. Talked about vaping, the community and of course the store. They have great knowledge to pass on to noobs and veterans alike. They even helped me with a problem I was having. They were patient with the people that came through their doors, while I was there, me included. It was a pleasure to watch them help customers.

I wish them the best of luck! They have a vape meet scheduled for Oct. 12 at 5 pm. If you live in the area, you should stop by.

I plan to go back and hopefully bring along some noobs that have been dragging their feet about making the switch.

They have a website up (not complete just yet) that has their address and contact info. www.steamspot.com

    Good success with vapedudes

The quest for good juice is the heart of vaping. Give me a good juice and I'll vape it in a rusty spoon over a campfire.

I rate my juice vendors buy the percentage of favorable juices I have gotten from them. I have HATED some juices from my favorite vendors.

The best source of juice is a vape bar. Fortunately for me I can go down, sit at the bar and try 20 flavors and walk away with 50ml of supreme (for me) juice.

On line, its hit or miss. Best success for me:
    Vapedudes
    Fuzion
    Gourmet Vapes

Note: my own tastes have changed nearly monthly since I started. I cannot vape some juices I loved 4 months ago. 4months ago I was vaping 80/20 24mg. That is awful to me today. Today I vape 50/50 12mg (6mg when dripping) and its a BIG difference.

Its part of the deal. Might as well enjoy the wins and shrug the losses. It's a ride!

Edited for the ladies out there ........
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two people, a man and a woman, were trying out for a lion-tamer position

The girl said, “I’ll go first.” She walked past the chair, the whip, and the gun and stepped right into the lion’s cage. The lion started to snarl and pant and began to charge her. About half way there, she threw open her coat revealing her beautiful naked body.

The lion stopped dead in his tracks, sheepishly crawled up to her, and started licking her ankles. He continued to lick her calves, kissed them, and then rested his head at her feet.

The circus owner’s mouth was on the floor. He said, “I’ve never seen a display like that in my life.” He then turned to the young man and asked, “Can you top that?”

The young man replied, “No problem, just get that lion out of the way.”

Palm Beach Vapors (Main St. in The Colony, TX) is the only place locally I've found 50/50.

Search the forum though too, there are quite a few online vendors that have really good stuff and there's a ton of info and good folks on here to help you out.

A few that are getting really good reviews right now are:
    fuzionvapers.com
    vapedudes.com
IMedic (look for his thread in the classifieds.
