    Pro Tank 2 Question

It must be sooper sekrit ohmage.
    2 points
  4. Yeah, barely warm... At 2.8V, even using a 1.5 Ohm coil (lowest KPT2 factory coil resistance), that would equate to 5.2 Watts @ 1.9A... hardly enough to vaporize any ejuice, even if you held the button for a full 10-sec.

  5. Yep, it has nothing to do with the length of the wick... sounds like your battery connection pin is pushed down (as Tam said) or the connection pin of the atomizer head is pushed in... or both... You can also check the center pin on your coil (head, atomizer, whatever you want to call it) and see if it is compressed against the rubber insulator. You can pull it out a TINY bit to make it reach the battery better, but be careful not to pull it too far. Either of these adjustments are MICRO adjustments... it doesn't take much.

  12. Well i honestly dont understand how someone can think its a good idea to use something as volatile and a li-ion or li-min battery that isnt protected pulling as much as 20 to 30 ohms. The things are quite literally explosions waiting to happen if you pull too many amps. I could maybe understand if there was a massive price difference, but hell, $12 versus $8 (at a local BM shop at that) isnt going to break anyones bank.

  21. I've been putting my eGo's upright on my desk, but each time I knock one over, I expected to see a shattered tank... laying them flat was okay, but I just prefer them to be standing straight Personally, I never liked the little plastic stands they sell at the local vape-shop, and hadn't decided on dropping money for a wooden stand, when I feel I can make one for pennies, and have it fit my needs better anyway... alas, I've not (yet) taken the time to build something big, but I still needed something for my eGo's to reside in on my desk.... So, today I was cleaning some odds-and-ends out of my storage boxes and ran across two of those nice, 2" round closet-door handles that I never used (wife wanted pretty ceramics, instead). The handles are solid pine, and nothing fancy, but gave me a great idea for re-purposing them! I cut some 2" rounds out of another piece of pine (using a hole-saw)... ran a dowel through the hole in the round, into the hole where you would normally mount the handle with a screw... a little glue, and now, they won't tip over! I drilled a 9/16" hole for the battery to reside in (perfect fit, BTW)... light sanding, a dab of neutral stain... and now I have two, personalized eGo battery stands! Cost was nothing, and gave me something to do for 30-minutes this afternoon. What do you think?

    Dual Coil Opinions

I've been using dual and single coils in my Kanger tanks... and here's what I can say about the duals: Pros: Slightly more vapor Slightly warmer vapor Cons: Use more juice per hit Coils cost a bit more than singles (my duals have been running $0.20 to $0.25 each, more cost over singles) One thing I tried last week was to compare hits per tank between a single and dual coil ... The single gave me roughly 50 more hits per tank. The next thing I'm going to try is to see if the "more vapor" also equates to me hitting the dual-coil less often, due to getting my nicotine fix faster? Basically, I want to see if a week's worth of vaping on dual-coil causes me to use more juice than a week's worth of vaping on a single-coil. If juice use is the same between the two, then logically the dual-coils will last longer (mitigating their extra cost) because you're firing them less often... so far, per my previous experiment, about 50-times less per tank-full.

  24. Probably a typo, but 2.8V "will" fire a coil... but the Wattage/Amps will be extremely low, especially on a higher Ohm coil... so it would take forever to achieve enough heat to produce vapor.

    Pro Tank 2 Question

Do you have a link or a picture of the battery? If you're posting a pic, please take one that shows inside the battery connection. This vid might also be of help. It might be that the KPT2 isn't making connection with the battery, which is why it won't work?

    kecig k100+ help

Yeah, I don't see Kanger EVER dropping their single-coil line-up of tanks... From what I see in the shops and online, the KPT2 is their bread-and-butter sales... Sure, they sell others (I know, I have them, lol), but I don't see any manufacturer cutting their throats by going all-dual-coil offerings. Now, from the flavor and vapor production stand-point on my eGo batteries, I like the KPT3 mini (dual-coil) over the single-coil KPT2 mini or EVOD... but that is just me... For my larger tanks on my MVP, I find very little difference between the KPT2 and AeroTank in flavor... The AT might give a bit more vapor, but also burns juice a little faster. I made use of the "hit counter" last week, and compared the KPT2 against the AT (same Wattage settings, 1.8 single vs 1.5 dual coil)... and I get more hits per tank when using the KPT2... roughly 50 more! But when flavor is what counts for me... getting more hits per tank is a good thing!? I guess the next thing I'll need to try is to see how long it takes to empty each tank (ml used each day)... I'm going to guess, it takes about the same length of time (same ml used), regardless of # of hits... because of the nic needs, so am I truly using less juice over the course of the day, when using the KPT2, or just hitting it more often? Hmmm... need to check that out... time to make a new chart

    Am I doing this wrong?

I was going to get it down in my 510 joye first but am thinking of giving up! It just isn't as good of flavor or vapor production as it is in my mini kpt3 (using same juice to test production) Whenever I want to change flavors I've adapted to washing my clearo and just switch coils

I would be very cautious about buying a Provari for $40 and expect it to be a real one. They don't lose their value to that extent.

As long as I can still buy single coils, I will never have a dual coil. Just do not see the need. I think a lot share the same opinion so I am sure they will continue to make single coils ongoing.

  34. I was apack and a half a day smoker for 25 years. I started at 24mg. I was using tobacco flavors at 80% PG. It was a little harsh for me but I pushed through it. Fast forward to today. I'm vaping 18mg, 16mg and 12mg. 50/50 PG/VG with a 70% VG, 80%VG and on e 100% VG thrown in for good measure. My nic cravings and chain vaping have settled considerably.

keep in mind that "knockoff" doesn't always mean piece o junk. apparently I have a mt3 knockoff that was under-performing for me. then I got a bunch of other tanks and now the mt3 is hitting like a champ. I have a theory that it is aware it has competition and has stepped up it's game. Possibly, though, it has just been "broken in". I wish you luck in figuring out your tank issues. This is a good place to get quality suggestions.

More VG = smoother vape, slightly sweeter juice, more vapor but thicker consistency, which will gunk up coils faster. A high VG content can also produce dry hits because the wick won't be able to absorb it fast enough, especially if you chain vape. More PG = thinner juice, more throat hit, better flavor carrier. Personally I mostly use 50 VG/50 PG and still get the best of all sides. The most I go with VG is at 70/30 but that's rare. Too much VG tastes like I'm sucking on a glycerin bar. Just my personal opinion.

Not candy type its real watermelon, drip down your chin good, I tried a bunch and none compare. Seriously he has great melons.. 43. It finally arrived! Had the wife open it and take a pic of my new panzer Blackhawk clone and omega clone. For some odd reason the fire button had unscrewed itself. I confirmed with the wife that yes the pin is rattling around inside. Oh and I haven't even laid my hands on it yet. Hopefully I will be home Saturday

  44. I really like Comps watermelon, he's got great melons and knows how to use em! I've probably got or had 40 or 50 bottles now from a lot of companies, his watermelon is my favorite 24/7 juice followed by the other two. I have experimented with different PG/VG and flavor boost/sweetener combinations from Comp, I've worn the poor guy out. I've tried several PG/VG mixtures, different sweetener levels and flavor shots added etc. I learned 50/50 PG/VG is my preference, pay for extra flavoring and no added sweetener shots, and to tell compenstine to make my flavor on the strong side but use his judgement on the amount to add. I have a Craft Vapery subscription so I get to vape a lot of expensive juice, so when I say Comps is my favorite ADV, it's not said lightly. I've never been a pawn or fanboy, but when discussing vaping I can't help but mention how Compenstine has helped me nail down flavors I love and really is an expert craftsman.

  46. Just wanted to give a thumbs up to the customer service at V3tronix and say how much I enjoy my flip mod. At almost $300 for a personal engraved mod with deep laser etching you have to expect the best and nothing but quality but they really deliver that and then great customer service. I got mine back a few weeks ago and everything was perfect except two small things. One, the threaded ring that is replaceable (great feature) was installed backwards when I got it so after scratching my head a few minutes wondering why I couldn't get any of my atomizers or clearos to screw down I tried turning that thread ring upside down and that was the culprit. Every device fit flush and perfect after that. Second, the firing button was just a little gritty and hard to turn from the locked to unlocked position. This great on and off and short throw fire was one reason I wanted the mod. I figured I could just drop some wd40 or something in there and smooth it out but I didn't want to do that without contacting customer service. I sent an email today and got a response in literally five minutes. They sent me a picture and details how to line up the grooves and get some WD40 in there. A few twists to work it in and my switch is buttery smooth and switches on and off like a precision machine. Love the mod and how great it performs and looks. I have a few clones too so I'm not that mod snob guy who thinks only an authentic is the way to go. I got this because I wanted one really great mod that was authentic and I could have custom engraved. A piece that looks great and I could enjoy for a long time. Happy I went with the flip and love the great customer service from v3tronix. If you're on the fence about spending the money for one but really would like something special for the collection I highly recommend it. I can use my clones and vape away but nothing I have compares to this level of quality and how great it works. Ok enough testimonial. I'm not getting paid for this lol.
