His setup at a higher ohm keeps him safe and stealthy. Those batts aren't for serious cloud chasing, but thats not what he's after with that setup. He's looking at easy portability, stylishness, and decent flavor/vapor combo while scratching that nic itch.

I agree with ya Bcarter! However, when someone comes to VT that is interested in mechs in general, there are many of us that immediately start harping on safety. Other than trying to educate, there's not much else we can do. Education is only valuable to those who wish to be educated.
I sub-ohm, and I've been as low as .09. But it was too hot to vape and I didn't notice any appreciable increase in vapor versus running at 0.3. I prefer to stay at or above 0.3 now. I constantly check and recheck my builds for shorts and inconsistent ohm readings as well as my batteries for voltage levels.

People freak out about subohming. Yes you should be smart about how low you go and know your batteries but blowing up and venting are two different things. When a battery vents it DOES NOT blow up. It's when there isn't adequate vent holes in a mod that there becomes a problem. And even before battery failure there is a pretty good chance that the mod would get so damn hot you drop it. I use alcohol and q-tips. Once they're dry, I use a dab of Noalox on the threads.

What needs to be understood is that our mod tubes are the direct negative conductors. When threads are dirty, the negative electrons build up in the mod tubes and/or firing buttons. Clean threads mean cool hands.

Pull the wicks and heat pulse the coils to burn off/clean the coils. Recheck screw tightness on the posts, then rewick. If that doesn't help, you may need to do a new clean build.
