The kit that never leaves my side!
Lyrical and 2 others reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Updated with the new color coded T3S's. In there are 5 Kanger T3S filled with Strawberry Fields, Spearmint, and Candy Cane all from Vapedudes and Juicy Peach and Traditional Tobacco from Sweet-Vapes. All 24mg and either 70-30 or 80-20. I keep two EgoT 1000mah, two Ego mini 400mah, and one of my Spinners (for when I want Tobacco flavor, I prefer the 1000mah over the spinner for all other flavors). Always have 2-3 replacement coils and the stock of Q-Tips for cleaning up a refill or condensation out of the mouthpiece. Just finished filling tanks and packing my case for the lake tonight and tomorrow. If it would only hold my charger..... Scouts Motto: Be Prepared!3 points -

So after winning a KPT in Brian's contest,I decided I wanted some other goodies to go in the pkg. with it Shipping was fast,I ordered Sun. and it was here Wed. The KPT is in my wife's possession but I hear it's very nice lol. I had some trouble with my new goodies so I opened a ticket to see if Brian would walk me through making it work since I couldn't figure it out. After a few e-mails and a phone call we decided it wasn't working as it should. Now we all know that when a vendor sends out a sealed pkg. they have no control over what the Mfg. puts in it,but Brian went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my new toy.The replacement arrived today, just 3 days after I first contacted him.Not only did I receive fast courteous service but he went the extra mile in a number of ways. Brian is definitely a White Hat kinda guy as most of us already knew even before he became a supplier.I'm happy to have even more proof of what a great person he is. Chris has developed a great forum full of awesome folks and is himself top notch. When we add in Mark,Jeffb,Birddog,Brian,Uma and many many others it's no wonder so many of us have found a home here!!!2 points

oh come on give us younger folk the benefit of the doubt! I love vinyl! i think the raw sound of the vinyl is much more preferred to me over a cd or mp3. I even have a turn table! lol!2 points

After about a year of heated debate with my wallet, I finally went for broke today and bought an HH.357 Long Barrel Hybrid 510 2Ω Atomizer from Avid Vaper for $25.31 shipped. My previous favorite drip atty was an EmpireMods Premium Bridge Free LR901 1.5Ω, but sadly (after only 7½ months ), the resistance level recently started dropping, so I figured catastrophic failure was imminent. Now I'll finally get to see why the HH.357 costs $14.50 more than my old atty.2 points

There have been so many songs that have defined me in one way or another, over the years. But the one song that still grabs me every time I hear it, is CCR's "Run Through the Jungle". It's been like a mainstay in my life since the Vietnam war era when my school buddies were fighting and some dying. If we're not fighting one thing, we're fighting another. Our lives have been touched, enhanced, strengthened by all these fights, whether it be fighting for our country or fighting for our lives against disease, this song sums up the fight in all of us for every reason we've ever encountered. Somehow, this song always leaves me in a state of gratitude for all those who fought for my right to gripe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhyszpvObvw2 points

i picked up the igo-w and you wanna talk about a sad coil build? lol and i think i got 34g wire with it instead of 32 because i did a 4/3 wrap and it came out somewhere around 2.3 to 2.4 ohms. lol2 points

Well my experience vaping in public has been different then most. I am a social butterfly and have never met a stranger lol, I was also the guy walking around with 11 facial piercings and gauges and a 2ft mohawk so the looks i dont even notice anymore and they never bothered me before. haha! I have been approached by people in the gorcery store and on the sidewalk, bars, parking lots, restaraunts, and the like. They all know what the e-cigs are but arent really sure what the hell my eVic is, so they come over to ask me what it is and why would i buy something like that. I explain the benefits of it over a normal battery as far as my experience has been. Usually they ask me where they can get one or read up on it for themselves or a loved one and i give them one of brian's cards. I dont ever hide what im doing. Im not ever really discreet either bc i smoke 100%VG and my eVic and protank will blow clouds for days at 4.5v. I have never been one to hide what im doing based on popular vote. If someone were ever to come up to me and as me not to do it in the grocery store or a bar or any public place other then outdoors i would politely put it away. but i have never had that happen... actually people are more intrigued by the vanilla smell then the huge cloud of vapor usually floating around me. LOL! just my experience though. Can I ask all of you discreet vapers a question though? If you have the right to walk outside the bar and smoke either on the patio or on the sidewalk... Why do you try to be discreet? Is it a matter of social courtesy? or is it a conflict avoidance behavior?2 points

I have never seen the batt you linked to before. The Vision Spinners or the Joyetech Twists have a proven track record. The one you linked to appears to be an off brand. With a Protank or Vivi Nova you just fill and vape. It may take a whole 10 seconds to fill it up. No biggy. DCT's require punching cartos and they leak. DCT's are so 20122 points

Yep.... I didn't see the responses until now - thank you guys! The wife and I just upgraded to a "Uno Vapor" brand for $34.00 each with a (manual) 650 battery and a clearomizer - he threw in some juice - which was nice, but the juice wasn't what I was used to or it was just not good for my taste - either way, I already was filling my Krave filters with a mix of nicotine juice (Tsunami 18 tobacco flavor and mixing it with Wilton Glycerin)- so putting that into these? WOW! What a difference - better hit - more vapor - - - the Krave was great for starters, but these are miles above that - The guy said it was part of the Ego company at the local weekend flea market - but I can't see that they are off hand, but at least the battery is a replaceable one without much grief because it looks exactly like the ego brand , and the wife LOVES the clear - and the ease of filling these .... pretty cool ! ! ! ! I'm afraid of what my next upgrade will cost me!!!! LOL!!!!1 point

Well the bug to try another set up has bitten me in the butt again! i keep seeing Uma's poldiac and i cant help but think... DAMN that thing is nice! I have a buddy at work that just bought a Sigelei #8 and has yet to receive it but all the reviews i have seen today rave about it. However the Poldiac gets rave reviews as well. Which would you guys recommend? I know there is a huge price difference (Poldiac runs about 150.00 euros... so like $200 if the conversion is right and the Sigelei Vmax V3 is about $75) but thats not even a huge deal. I really just want to get an awesome mod that i can leave at home with my eVic so my wife and I dont have to flip a coin to see who gets to use the eVic. that being said... any suggestions?1 point

I guess I've been doing it wrong...I just eat different sushi rolls between different sushi rolls lol. On a side note, eating a bog ol' wad of wasabi is a great palette cleanser as well as a great prevention for dehydration...try it and watch how much water the human body can hold immediately after eating some.1 point

wow- SO I guess I can bring up the old " if it aint broke...." I think I probably just need to rinse them out rather than change them ,because none of them ever stopped producing vapor .In fact the coil I said I "legitimately burnt" before I got the ce4 , got rinsed and left over night is working now fine except for the "muted " flavor which is mostly just me . oh - I read somewhere on another site that they kanger is not going to make the shorter shank coil for the evod anymore they are all going to be the longer protank coils (that I dont like much I had to tape up an air hole with those ) so I guess I might hang onto those and "try " to rebuild them ... I do like to tinker so it will give me something to do I really appreciate the help I was so annoyed last night I was looking for my blu at least with that is was plug n play lol Ill stop over doing it for now . I have been home alot lately (and bored) so ive been vaping this thing like a clubkid with a pacifier at an underground rave . thanks again-1 point

Exposing the Public to E-cigs - A good Thing
Uma reacted to Love2VapeDaily for a topic
The librarians in my town usually ask what flavor I have today. I'm in the library almost daily, people around here don't care if I pull out my pv. If I do get questions I answer them politely explain how it has helped me quit the stinkies and if they are a smoker I offer a drag after explaining how to use it. I also tell them about VT and theveteranvaper.com1 point -
Oh my goodness this KPT is the BOMB! I wish I could use my emotions, they would come in handy right now. I have not had any jello shots so I am not on the table but I did do a little " I love my Protank dance for the kids". I've got to say it is the only clearomizer that I like as much as my VN. The juice tastes so pure and clean and plenty of vapor. I do a 70PG/30VG so the taste is what I am really after. I did make a new discovery. I already had a collar that I put on my spinners and twisters. I thought they were for looks only. Well, I happen to be using my basic eGo 1000 this morning while I was setting up my Protank so I put the collar on it then my VN on top. I had made everything pretty tight and I noticed I had to pull real hard to get a draw. So I loosened up the collar and the draw got easier. So, did I miss something? Are these collars made to adjust the degree for tightness of the draw? I've always heard them being referred to people for looks to hide the space between the clearomizer and the battery. Or maybe they serve BOTH functions. If so, what were they originally made for? After the Protank sat a awhile with juice in it I put it all together with the battery I was using, it's collar tightened snuggly with Protank on top with Strawberry fields juice in it. I am in heaven. If I knew how to take pictures with my phone and put them up here I would. I'm going to get one of my kids to show me how to do that. Thanks again Brian.1 point

It's mostly about location for me. I'm never discreet when it's not warranted. Outside a pub in public no problem. I'm only discreet where I think I will be interrupted unnecessarily. It's not about conflict avoidance. It's about not wanting to be sidetracked or slowed down from doing what I'm doing at the time. I don't want to be asked to leave a movie theater nor have to explain what I'm doing or defend myself during the movie. I don't want to unnecessarily disturb or create a commotion with 60 other passengers on an airplane. I don't want to flaunt my e-cig in front of other parents and their kids at the park or zoo. I don't want security called on me at a street fair. There are lots of times when it's appropriate to be discreet.1 point

OK. There are several methods to cleaning the coils and wicks. Some people like Bcartervol98 just simply toss the coil when it goes bad and buys the replacements. I on the otherhand go to the extreme and rewick and rebuild the replacements. LOL 1.) you can use an alcohol soak for a few hours (overnight preferably) and then let them sit out to dry. 2.) you can use some warm water and gently massage the wick and get all the nasty gunk out of it. 3.) you can always rewick the coil and clean the hardware in a soak of diluted rubbing alcohol. You will know the coil is bad because it will stop producing vapor in the EVOD tanks. The replacements are pretty cheap but they are also very easy to pull apart and rebuild. I would recommend if rebuilding isnt something that you have an interest in(which is fine since its not everyones cup of tea) you buy replacements and when you get down to like 10 or so you buy more. that way you have plenty of time for the order to arrive and your not scrambling for a CE4 on the fly. Your CE4 wick will last me anywhere from 4-7 days depending on how hard i am on vaping. My wife's last her about 2 weeks bc she doesnt vape hardly at all (also she doesnt smoke anymore so i dont mind ), Thats more of a how many miles are you putting on it and how hard are you driving it type of a deal. Also an easy one to rewick to extend the life of the atty. If your having trouble tasting flavors it might be time to switch it up for a while. I found i liek to vape vanda all day every day but sometimes i have to go with something different for a few hours or so and then the wonderful vanilla flavor has returned. And yeah sometimes you have to baby your equipment but its worth it in the end bc eventually you will find a set up that you absolutely love and dont mind doing a little footwork for.1 point

I think now that you can buy the replacement bases it fixes the issues. The airway hole is vastly smaller then the previous bases and they dont seem to have the same problem of not screwing into the tank portion all the way. You can replace the bases on your t3's for around 2.50 a pop and just replace the coils for 1.50 a piece... and not to mention.... rix since your a huge rebuildable guy... you can actually pull those coils completely apart and rebuild them... and they dont seem to be a terribly hard build. I will let you know as soon as i can get my hands on some silica and some kanthal wire.1 point

Everyone thinks they have to have a 'cigarette" flavored vape juice when they first start ,Me included but honestly for me once I tried really good flavors I realized I hate the taste of cigarettes and I only smoked them for one thing-NICOTINE once I started getting that from another source-that was it ! yummy apple and vanilla from now on lol .I know a few folks on here like tobacco - but all my friends hate any juice they have gotten .(tobacco)1 point
-
Well rixter i actually had a full tank of the vapor room gummy bear in my T3S today and literally smoked it all the way down to where there was no juice even left in the bottom of the coil. not that i usually go that far but i just wanted to see if it was possible and how it would do when it got low. I had absolutely no problems with it leaking.1 point

Here's what I use...notice the Lowest Discharge Voltage & Max. continuous discharge rate: AW IMR 18650 2000mAh (Red) Official specifications: Nominal Voltage : 3.7V Capacity : 2000mAH Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.50V Standard Charge : CC/CV ( max. charging rate 2A ) Cycle Life : > 500 cycles Max. continuous discharge rate : 10A Operating Discharge Temperature : -10 - 60 Degree Celsius You'll notice low vapor production long before you get to 2.5v, and I'm pretty sure that nobody will disagree with me that AW are some of the most reliable batteries on the planet. I stopped using protected batteries (ICRs) in favor of IMRs because I noticed a substantial difference in performance in side by side comparisons.1 point

Worst flavor you have tried?
Love2VapeDaily reacted to JimmyPoppins for a topic
Dekang as well as Huff n Puff n Stuff are two of the absolute worst ejuice suppliers I have vaped. Both companies' juices taste very chemically unnatural and even with a month of steeping still taste "off". But just as has already been mentioned, someone's absolute "vape all day" juice could be another's worst tongue nightmare.1 point -

Will have to nitpic here PG=Propylene glycol. Also if you don't already have the addiction to smoking I don't recommend E-cig use.Why put anything in your lungs if it isn't necessary. Just my .02 I believe E-cigs are dramatically safer than tobacco but why take the chance? For most of us it's better than tobacco but only as a reduced harm alternative not as a starting place for a new habit IMHO.1 point

The Halo G6 smaller batteries are this way. I was vaping like a monster but still wondering why I was not ok. It was Tam who recognized my problem as not enough battery to get a decent nic hit. They sell because they look like a cig. The iTaste VV/vw I sport looks like an electric tooth brush! I-dont-care! It gives me a decent hit at 800mah. The litle batteries are mini and mini in mili amp hours also. Not really a good fit for anyone for long terem control of tobacco.1 point -

Just bought a Kanger Protank off the site here with some replacement coils. First time using a Kanger. Very excited to receive it.1 point -
In my opinion, the T3 doesn't provide as much flavor and warmth as the T2 does. This is probably because the T2's coil and wick assembly is at the top of the air path as opposed to the bottom coil placement of the T3. The T2 is also a little easier to fill because all you have to do is unscrew the drip tip. The T3 must be removed from the battery and disassembled to fill.1 point

Congrats on leaving the analogs. I am a noob into week 3 of no analogs and it sounds like you are doing great. I like you bought went the RYO route and even bought the Fresh Choice Machine. Fav Flavors?

Well there's good news..... After a few adjustments, mainly smaller hits and a little break in period he's doing fine. He thinks it was just the initial abrupt change from smoke to vape. After playing with it on his own it took him a couple of days to get it going. The other day he just showed up happily vaping away like it was nothing. I'm glad he just kept going. Now he's doing fine and is on the hunt for his favorite juice, lol. All is good...1 point
