    Fav Flavors?

I always read this, and at first ordered 50-50 thinking I would like that but I prefer more PG. Thing is I cannot notice one bit of difference in the vapor production from 50-50 to 70-30 but at 80-20 it really drops off. Another little tip. I ordered one bottle of 100% PG Tobacco flavor to vape places I want to be inconspicuous like movie theater and airplanes etc... There is almost no vapor if you hold it in for a while, but the throat hit, nic, and feel of it is the same just very little in the way of visible vapor.

    first time vaping

I just convinced my good friend to switch over to analogs. He ordered his eGo 900mah kit from AquaVaporCig.com and it got there in about 3 days (from east coast to west coast). Which is about normal...I order a 100ml sample pack from them about every 8 weeks or so. He's new to the whole eCig revolution and relying on me for information. So, I told him to check out the following videos: Filling a CE4/5 Clearomizer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJRrHHlpeHg Cleaning a CE4/5 Clearomizer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bsXkEhNufMs And cleaning a battery and atomizer (which should also be done to the USB charger dongle): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rz-ZdZMHwMI

  4. 1. MAH: I say go for as much as you can get. Eventually you will have several different ones most likely. I have 2 Vision Spinner 1300mah, 2 EgoT 1000mah, and 2 Ego mini 400mah in my arsenal and use them all at different times. The Spinners are great for higher voltage tobacco and coffee flavors and with larger appliances like the Kanger Pro Tank or Vivi Nova tank. I am using the standard 1000mah more than anything else, seems to be right in my wheelhouse as far as voltage goes. I vape a lot, and they last about 24-30 hours on one charge and charge in about 3 hours. I just got the 400mah, they charge in about an hour and a half and last me about 6-8hours (too soon to tell an actual time, first one is still going that I put on at about noon but I can tell it is about to die) 2. Liquids: I only order from 2 sites. Sweet-Vapes.com and VapeDudes.com. You will get countless recommendations on this, as everyone has a unique palate. Some liquids people love are vile to me and vice versa. I find Dekang disgusting, Evo from Nicapure about the same, and am not a fan of Mt Baker Vapors even though a lot of people love them. This is where you will spend the most money imo, finding what you like. I have probably given away 1000ml+ of liquids I tried and didnt like. Also you have to find what mixture you like. Most places standard is 50% PG ad 50% VG but I like more PG so I order 70-30 and 80-20 depending on which supplier and what they offer. Also nic levels. I use 24mg exclusively but smoked light analogs. The 16-18mg just didnt do it for me, still doesnt. I want a strong throat hit over a huge cloud of vapor, even though I get a ton of vapor from my higher PG mixtures. 3. Clearomizers: I prefer Kanger products over anything else I have tried. The T2 is my favorite all day appliance, but the Pro Tank is the bomb but expensive, heavy, and fairly easy to break if dropped. 4. What else do I need? I think you need at least 2 batteries, a charger (I have 4 one for home, one for work, one for the car, and one for the boat) and a case. I made this thread a while back, it may help you. Happy Vaping and welcome to our world!

  5. On a state level you are correct, on a federal level it's illegal in all states. One day the government will tell us how many squares of toilet paper we can use per flush.

    Kanger Protank V2

I mentioned this in another thread in General Discussion but I'll repost here as it's a new product. http://www.sz-kanger.com/products/kanger-protank-2-clearomizer-pre-order-now-ship-in-july-25th The new version seems to address issues some folks have had as well as added capacity. The downside, if any, is that it's physically larger. That might be an issue for some.

  7. Hello everyone. I posted on here about a month ago. I finally got all my backed up bills paid off since I got my new job and I believe I am just abouy ready to start vaping! I am going to go with the ego c for my battery (unless anyone has any better suggestions). What mAh rating or whatever should I go with though? What are the differences? I am also going to go with the clearomizers (the 5 pack replaceable long wick ones). What else do I need? Besides ejuice of course. Also what is a good site for ejuice? I'd like to try lots of different flavors, the more customizable the better!

    Fav Flavors?

Yes 12mg is the amount of nicotine per ml in a bottle of juice. And the 70/30 is the pg/Vg mix ratio. Pg provides throat hit and Vg is more vapor and usually a sweeter liquid. Also pg is propylene glycol and Vg is vegetable glycerin.

  12. This is my first small clearo other than the .8 Halo small tank and there is a world of difference! I dont fault Halo for anything. They were definitely a step up from the 7-11 convenience store disposable e-ciggs. But their fiber carts are certainly *not* like the Boge cartomizers, and their 'mini tank' is very much less than this Vision Nano. The Nano is about the same size as the Halo mini. (.8 ml) But thats where any similarity ends. The Nano has a screw on top. It is bottom fed and I dont even see any wicking. It is made from higher quality parts and feels it. The Halo is top coil and very hard to fill. The top just presses on loosely. This isnt supposed to be a review, I am just pleasantly vaping my first nice clearo experience. maybe its the battery that makes the difference also but man this is nice! Strawnanna Smoothie from Nicquids 12mg and some gifted cantaloupe added in. Nice. What was your first experience with a clearo and what was it? I might need to try it!

    Small question....

As long as the gaskets are ok it should be fine to lay it down. My clearos sit in my case on a table all day at work and haven't leaked yet.
    1 point
  14. Depends on the clearo-tank you are using. I store mine in a case all day laying vertically on my desk at work and never had a leak once I started using T2 clearos and dumped the CE4s. I occasionally would have a leak with a CE4. My Kanger Pro Tank lays on its side all day at home every day, not gonna risk it getting knocked over and it never has leaked. When at work I have a coozy I keep on my desk for pens and highlighters-markers etc and I stick it in there all day but mainly because its easy to grab and take a pull in my office. I dont think it matters in the least unless you have a faulty clearo or tank that is prone to leaking.

  15. More like the Dork Side, LOL!!! Considering the thousands of products being peddled by hundreds of vendors, and the myriad of tips, tricks, and techniques out there, the sheer amount of information to be absorbed can only lead to one conclusion: What starts as an alternative therapy to quitting smoking inevitably becomes a full-time hobby. Welcome to VaporTalk, and your new life!! Once free from tobacco, I am sure that you, too, will find that smoking cigarettes was never this much fun!!!

  16. i think i might buy an RDA as well since im definitely into direct dripping. i have a few ones in mind.. but the ata-t+ is probably the rba i will start with. and my dad has an ohms meter. so... we will see!

  17. Awww, shucks...thanks Uma!!! :p If I weren't so broke all the time, I'd have a few more pieces of gear to review. I guess that's what I get for going back to school so late in life.....(engineering major, BTW). But, hey....at least I can make use of my education by spending what free time I have figuring out how to make my $$$ stretch, while eyeing all the big-boy toys, LOL!!!

  19. resistance plays a factor with voltage. what type of device are you using? for me, i use a standard 3.7v ego mostly, and when i pair that with a 1.8ohm carto/clearo etc.... it gives me a warm (not hot), thick vapor. generally the easy way to look at it is, the lower the resistance the warmer the vapor will be. so take for instance a 3ohm carto, you would want to pair that with more of like a 5v device. less than 2 ohms right around 4v is good right around 3 ohms 5 volts is good right around 4 ohms 6 volts is good that's certainly not the case for everyone but it's an easy to remember scale. if you want a warm, thick vapor that's a rudimentary scale. if you want a cooler vape it would look more like less than 2 ohms right around 4.5 volts right around 3 ohms 5.5-6 volts etc.....

  20. if your'e looking to test new juices you need an atomizer. i would suggest going here: http://www.empiremods.com/Default.asp pick up a low resistance 510 atomizer, a 510 drip tip, and maybe an ego drip shield. then you just add a few drops on to your atomizer, insert drip tip. and enjoy the flavor that only dripping can provide.

  22. i would caution you against the clearo's you are gonna buy. try these http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer/ and i personally prefer a VV battery (variable voltage) and i usually want the longest time span available so go with a 1300mah or something similar. and you can get ejuice from hundreds of sites! http://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/#what's-new! http://goodprophets.com/home.htm http://www.thevaporroom.net/eliquids.html http://www.diyflavorshack.com/ http://www.vapedudes.com/ http://www.sweet-vapes.com/ those are just some of the more popular sites that i shop at and many other forum members shop at. personally i prefer vapor room and johnson creek. bcartervol98 loves vape dudes. and Jeffb loves sweet-vapes and vape dudes. so try them all out.

  23. To be honest, I applaud Blu for bringing awareness of e-cigs as an alternative to tobacco cigarettes to the general public. If it were not for Blu, Fin, and Njoy running television commercials, we would have a much harder time finding acceptance in vaping amongst the general public.

  24. Just got my Itastevv V3 in today along with a Kanger T3 and a kanger MT3 tank for it (they were free with the holiday sale). So far I love the portability of the Itaste. The Kanger T3 is definitely a new favorite for my mods and i have yet to put something in the MT3 but I am going to assume it will be somewhat the same. So far no flooding in the T3 but.... we shall see!

  25. Forgot about that center post leaking issue (derp). For me, it leaks so little anyways when compared to the old clearomizer / eGo setup. Besides, I got so used to cleaning my 510 connection daily with that old setup, that I don't think twice about it with my RSST.

    Kanger Protank V2

Maybe the price will go down on the current model once these come out and I will stock up lol. Its the same I do with phones. I upgraded from IPhone 3 to Iphone 4 when the Iphone 5 came out haha. Getting a 5 in September when my upgrade rolls around, hoping 6 is out by then so my 5 is cheaper. I call it "frugal".

Blu was my first forray into ecigs. I still love their Vanilla above all other vanillas I have tried. I will get a package of the Vanilla if I am going on a trip or to keep as spares in case I run out of juice.

  29. My prediction - this is gonna suck big time. Maybe Jeff can start a "Town Hall" thread where we can discuss what will unfold in the coming months. Can you imagine the black market that will emerge from this? I mean its not rocket science. Building a "home depot" vape will be easy. It's the juice is where they'll get you. There's a guy that just opened up a vape bar not far from me. Really does only juices. He must be a little worried right now. *jumps up from chair* "jeffb Johnson is right! It's a conspiracy to make us stockpile!" *shakes fist angrily in the air*

  30. Well, my G/F never smoked, but came up with an ingenious solution: Every time you see that Stephen Dorf commercial for Blu e-cigs while watching TV (Fin and Njoy commercials too), drop a hint....it doesn't have to be a big one, either. You know him best, and what'll drive him crazy enough to pick up an e-cig, even of its just to shut you up....so, I'll leave the subtle hinting to your imagination. Remember: SMALL HINT....then let it go. Do not turn things into a debate, either. Just nip it in the bud, and end those conversations with, "just saying..." It works like a charm!!! To this day, I still want to punch Stephen Dorff in his ruggedly-handsome face every time that commercial airs.....and I've been off the stinkies for six months!!!

  33. Well this sucks. Anybody have any stories about tortured kittens? That would cap this day off nicely I think. Isn't it nice of the government to step in and "protect" all the kids who's "parents" are too inept to control what their offspring buy online? As Jason Mattera, spokesman for Young America's Foundation, said (paraphrasing William F. Buckley, Jr.) at the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference, "Hey, jackass, get your government off my freedom!"

  38. When I did smoke I always wondered why people complained of the smell. Now I understand why, it's a horrible stench.
    1 point
  39. OMG the smell of a smoker now is borderline repulsive, and I mean that in a nice way because I smelled that way for 27 years. I just never realized it. Now that my wife has stopped and can smell the same thing, I am confident she will never pick up an analog again unless our government decides to ban it or something stupid.
    1 point
  40. I did the entire "yuck, you smell like a hot ash tray". Usually that left me at home with a angry woman. Some now I encourage vaping she has cut back more on the stinkies and she is calmer. So hopefully 1 she will vape only.

  43. I have both devices (both are great RBAs) and I can tell you that in a side by side comparison, the Youde AGA-T is the winner...not by much, but there is a noticeable difference. Also, the SmokTech RSST leaks a little juice into the connection area and the AGA-T does not.
    1 point
  44. my first clearo was the kanger T2. I personally don't care for the silica that comes in them so i have already rewicked all 10 of the replacement coils that i bought and the originals with cotton. Its cheap, it draws quicker, its not hard to do once you do it a few times, and overall i havent had a "dry hit" from the clearos once i switched wicking material. just my opinion.
    1 point
  45. i have been converted! i have come to learn the joys of direct dripping.... does that mean my RBA is now an RDA? lol
    1 point
  46. Oh....forgot to mention my two biggest peeves with the RSST: 1) The airhole.... 1mm is just too tight!!! Some people may like that kind of draw, but these things are not a ViVi Nova on an eGo. You have to hit them differently, otherwise you will kill any potential for vapor production. I drilled mine out to 1/16th of an inch (about 1.5 - 1.6 mm), which is still a bit tight for me. However, my RSST is my daily driver, and not my cloud machine, LOL!!! 2) Unlike the AC9 (from which the unit is cloned), the RSST does not have an angled top. From what I understand, this angled top improves flavor and vapor production. Though this improvement may only be at a slight, it is enough for other people to make a huge deal about on that "other" forum.....and therefore, deserves a small mention in the interest of keeping the user informed.
    1 point
  47. Not sure about the missing part, but the gurgling sound means you have liquid in your air hole through the coil. Put a Qtip loosely against the opening on the bottom and blow out the excess liquid, swab it all off to get it as dry as you can, and you should be good to go. It happens with every delivery device at some point.
    1 point
  48. Since Uma is "twisting my arm" to do so....LOL :p You can't go wrong with a RSST. For the money, ease of setup, and how comparatively little time spent troubleshooting, there is no better "Beginner" Genny out there. TBH, the RSST is more of a confidence-builder when it comes to Genesis attys. The wick hole is insulated, and located "miles away" from the positive and negative posts, giving the user plenty of room to work with little fear of shorting out your build. In addition to the insulated wick hole, the tank bottom is sealed, ensuring you won't accidentally bottom out your wick. The only issue I've had with leaking was when I removed the fill plug, and put the unit in my pocket. This is because the fill hole is located in a bad spot should you ever lose, or decide to remove the plug. So, you need to either get your wick to work right and not lose the plug, or leave your RSST at home. Honestly, I've been looking at getting an AGA-T series. My buddy has one, and its a pretty sweet little performance machine. If you can set one of those up, you can set up ANY Genny out there.
    1 point
  49. Well... the 555 I've tried is still a little on the sweet side. Kind of like a mix of tobbacco, caramel, and some kind of nuts. If you want something that has no sweetness at all, go for a tobacco flavor that describes itself as SPICY. Clove is usually a great bet for this.
    1 point
  50. Had the same problem in the beginning, couldnt find a good replacement for American Spirit Blacks, they all seemed sweet or smelled like old socks, as one of our compadres called it.. Try a 555. I don't care for tabac flavors anymore, but I'm usng up what I have by mixing flavors, coconut works great for me, but also remember your taste buds are out of wack from analogs, and what tastes good today is gonna be nasty in a month...Good Luck!
