Bebop got a reaction from Gadzoox in Vaping on a plane (re-visited)
Well, security at San Francisco didn't bat an eye. I had my whole kit in my backpack, which includes 2 complete setups, and 4 extra clearomizers with a packet of coils and a bottle of juice. While waiting for the plane, I just moved to a quieter location away from the crowd and didn't make a big deal out of it and vaped away.

It was interesting. We changed planes in Atlanta. I had never been to Atlanta airport. They have "smoking rooms". It was a little weird. My wife and I decided to just use the smoking room to vape in - when in Rome, ya know. It was actually pretty disgusting. This is the first time I was around smokers like this since I quit. There were maybe a dozen guys in there. The first thing was the smell. Wow, even with the ventilation fans going it was pretty bad. Then I just noticed that most of these people looked depressed and kind of sickly and it struck me oddly. 2 months ago, I don't think I would have thought anything of it. These rooms are all glass. You feel like you're in a cage. At one point i could see this older couple approaching the glass doors, they stop at the door and the women fiddles in her purse, comes up with a cig and then comes in to the room with us. The husband stays outside the glass. She's got some kind of 100's and she starts puffing away. On the other side of the glass the husband is patiently waiting for her to finish. Once in a while he looks in toward her and she holds up the ciggy showing him where she is on it. This goes on for a few minutes and I feel for him. I'm so glad my wife and I are doing this together.

All great advice. Thank you to all. We're looking in to it. I think it's a combination of a lot of these and mostly maybe psychological. Well we're going to try and play around with flavors and mixes and see what we can do. He's willing to try. Plus he's motivated. Another friend has been off ciggys for almost 2 weeks now.

It's a regular epidemic, lol. Since my wife and I started almost 2 months ago now, we have recommended the e-cig to 13 people, all friends and acquaintances. Of those 13 over half are full vapers now, others have cut way back and only one has fully reverted back to cigs.

Well there's good news..... After a few adjustments, mainly smaller hits and a little break in period he's doing fine. He thinks it was just the initial abrupt change from smoke to vape. After playing with it on his own it took him a couple of days to get it going. The other day he just showed up happily vaping away like it was nothing. I'm glad he just kept going. Now he's doing fine and is on the hunt for his favorite juice, lol. All is good...

Me too. I have been baffled by this. Even from the person sitting next to me, lol. I thought about this when I posted my review on vape dudes. I was just excited to finally get some great flavors after trying bunches. Honestly I feel bad if someone takes my word and then finds they hate it although based on what I've tried I find that hard to believe. But it really is subjective and amazingly so.

However I just cracked open the Island Coconut from Vapedudes and I will update my review just to be complete. Hint: cue ukelele..

Yeah. It's weird. I never went through this

He appears to be taking a normal drag - brings it in to his mouth first neither too fast or too much but immediately rejects it on inhale.

    Maybe try pg

Oh, and he is a menthol smoker but i didnt have any menthol if that means anything.

Actually, Afallucco, this is not correct. If you get too high a resistance you will have to activate your battery with the button longer to bring the coil up to temperature enough to vaporize the liquid. = shorter battery life.

Sia- the 1.8 or the 2.0 will give you the best performance for your battery. As far as flooding, you can take apart the T2 and clean and dry it and it will perform like new. I have also found that if you fill the T2 too high up to the metal band at the mouth piece you can flood them. I always fill mine to just below the band and they don't flood. Actually you can fill up to the point where the wick goes in to the coil but no higher. If you fill higher than that on the T2 a thinner liquid can flood the coil.

I started a thread called "a question about resistance" and Viper Ron posted a resistance chart that shows battery voltage versus resistance that is very helpful.

    Great chart. Thanks Viper Ron.

So by the chart - it looks like if you draw a diagonal line through the middle of the green area you get the best trade off, vapor production vs battery life vs coil life. And, what do you know, with my twist I start tasting "burn" on my 1.8 - 2.0 at 4.0 - 4.2v so the red zone is really the beginning of burnt flavor. the juice would be a factor too. 50/50 is "slow" to wick and I find 80/20 "fast"

Bcarter, I am finding similar things. I like sweeter/cooler and bitter/hotter

I can't tell you how many hours I've spent researching and reading e-cigs and related material since I quit 6 weeks ago. I have been absorbed in it, frankly.

Yesterday was the first time I went back to the liquor store where I usually buy my analogs. He hasn't seen me or my wife for over a month.

I had to break the news. I don't smoke anymore. Just for a second, his face dropped. He had already reached for my cigs. I told him I was seeing someone else, that i was vaping. He nodded and pointed out the little 505 stick on the shelf and I pulled out my eGo. His eyes widened up. He had that look in his eye like 'you'll be back'.

I promised him we could still be friends and I'd stop in once in a while. I paid my $6 for a drink and snack.

I used to drop $30 - $50 at a time there every few days. Wow. Ok, it was harder for him than me.

    Patricia-

I have all Joyetec eGo batteries and they all perform well. I get through most of the day on a 650 but the 900 is pretty good for heavy vape days. Recently I got a 1000mah variable voltage and its cool but I'm still experimenting with it. I'm finding that some juices taste a little better with a little more voltage. So far it's been pretty consistent. My wife has a couple eGo knock off batteries and the voltage drops when the battery starts to run lower than 50%. I don't seem to have that problem with the Joyetec batteries. The voltage is pretty consistent to the end of the charge.

    Bcartervol98-

I can't get over how wild and variable the juices seem to be, lol. You can't pay me to vape the vanillas but I'm a coffee flavor nut. So far the coffee variations are my favorites but I'm still searching for the holy grail, lol. What got me off analogs was Liqua traditional tobacco. I enjoyed that for a while then began mixing cherry in to it and that was pretty good. I tried a bunch of other flavors but favored some mochas, cappuccino and other coffee flavors and they are my main vapes. My wife got a strawberry/lemonade. All I taste is strawberry and all she tastes is the lemonade! I have found that no matter what people say and no matter what the description says I have to try it to really find out. After reading great reviews and comments about one particular vendor we ordered 10 different juices from this vendor and found them all unvapable! Terrible! It doesn't make sense. I have more or less resigned myself to experimenting and forking over the cash to check out different juices. I'm like a mad scientist over here mixing different juices. It's crazy. I just want to find a few good flavors and settle in with them. At least I can say I'm smoke free and that makes me very happy!

Now, I have to get back to the lab....I just got a small sample shipment from Gourmet Vapes...muah ha ha!

I am relatively new here and I'm still experimenting heavily. I have been off analogs completely for 6 weeks now and it's amazing.

I started with an eGo C set up with a cartomizer which was a fine start and got me off the analogs. Then I switched to the iclear 16 which gave me better performance and I loved that but I had some minor problems with the quality. I tried a T3 tank which was pretty close to disastrous as I had leak problems and taste issues that I couldn't really get over. Then a friend recommended the T2 and I have reached a plateau now that I am VERY happy with. Short wick and 2.0 res atomizer. I have been very happy with my Joyetec eGo batteries that have been solid performers , one a variable.

I'm really happy with T2. Great vape, great flow and taste. And I love the "pull". Very natural. My whole game now is finding the right juices. Nowhere have I found more inconsistency than in the juices themselves. Still searching for that right combination of pg/vg and nic. All in all though, I couldn't be happier that I'm finally off the analogs. 6 weeks and counting. All is good

    Hello vapers !

    Almost 3 weeks now without a ciggy.....it's a miracle, I tell you.

No more stigma, no more hiding, slinking around, ducking out for a smoke. No more stinky clothes, horrible breath....the list goes on. I didn't believe it was possible. I've always hated being a "smoker" and lumped into being one of "them", not to mention paying outrageous prices for premium cigarettes and funding gawd knows what organization through heavy taxes....

I had no idea this community even existed until an acquaintance "lit up" and I did a double take.... WTF is that? My eGO was born. I actually threw away my last two ciggies when it arrived...and I haven't looked back. And what's better is I KNOW I won't go back. I'm satisfied and happy and feeling better already.

Thank you to all the vaping community for fighting for this and promoting it and protecting it. I am grateful for your dedication and conviction as well as your helpful advice. I am happy to be among you and I honestly don't know that I'll be a vaper for life. But I do know that I'll stand by you and support you even if I choose to give it up eventually.

    For now, happy vaping!
