  1. What do you mean when you say you smell something "in the surrounding area?"
  2. Thanks for the update, @Farny I'm glad to hear you got it resolved (sort of). Now, next time you're in town, make sure to get some back ups!
  3. Please don't leave it charging through the night, if something should short out, you won't be awake to take action. Perhaps not helpful right now, but we always recommend having back ups. Then, when you get back ups for your batteries, tanks and coils, get more back ups. You can never have too many. I once went through four batteries and two tanks (some weren't charged when I thought they were, dropped one tank and it broke, had a couple of bad coils, etc.). Many forum members laugh when we tell them to get back ups (as many as you can afford), but then they come back and tell us that they either were very glad they listened or they say they should have listened and go out to buy more. Good luck to you! Come back and let us know what happened.
  4. Not just "lads" on this forum. How long have you had your mod on charge? I would suggest you let it fully charge to see if you still have the same problem. If getting a full charge doesn't fix it, do you have another coil to try? Although rare, you could have gotten a couple of bad coils.
  5. My first piece of advice is for you to ask your doctor. Just my opinion since I'm not a trained medical professional, but I would not vape just yet. Having experienced a dry socket with a wisdom tooth removal, I wouldn't do anything that would risk any kind of dry socket. If you need nicotine, go get some patches until you fully heal.
  6. There are batteries and there are mods... without any kind of reference to name brand, model, what kind of tank or RDA/RBA, coil, etc. that you're using, it's hard to troubleshoot your problem. Can you provide more details on what it is that you have?
  7. I googled "vape pen 22 blinks 4 times" and got a link that let to a page that said this: If LED light blinks as below, then it is working great. 1. 8 seconds protection:the LED light will blink 5 times when the power button is held for longer than 8 seconds, and the battery will automatically shut down the output. 2. Resistance protection:when the atomizer resistance is lower than 0.1 ohm or higher than 2.5 ohms, the LED light will blink 4 times and the battery will automatically shut down the output. 3. Low voltage protection:when battery capacity is lower than 3. 3V,the LED light will blink 15 times and the battery will automatically shut down the output. If LED light blinks as below, then it is malfunctional. 1.LED light keeps blinking. 2.LED light keeps lighting. Solutions: Please try to use coil or tank which resistance is between 0.1 ohm and 2.5 ohms.
  8. I googled, "smok v8 stick blinks 4 times" and got a link to this information: 1. 8 seconds protection:the LED light will blink 5 times when the power button is held for longer than 8 seconds, and the battery will automatically shut down the output. If LED light blinks as below, then it is malfunctioning. 1.LED light keeps blinking. 2.LED light keeps lighting. Solutions: Please try to use coil or tank which resistance is between 0.1 ohm and 2.5 ohms. This means that the coil in your tank is too low in resistance and needs to be changed.
  9. Thanks, that does help a bit. I don't know how many watts your girlfriend is using but tell her to go down to the lowest (13 - 14). That might help. Also, when taking a draw, tell her to take the vapor into her mouth, hold for a split second before inhaling. That might also help to keep her from coughing. What flavor of e-liquid is it? This could also be a contributing factor. Harsher flavors are cinnamon (like the candy), most citrus fruit flavors, and tobacco flavors. Her best bet would be bakery flavors like apple pie, vanilla, custard... those types are usually more smooth.
  10. Was she possibly talking about a "wick" instead of a filter? Without knowing what brand and model of vaping equipment she's using, it's hard to troubleshoot the issue. It could be that the mod (if it's a regulated device), is set too high and she burned the wick. It could be the e-liquid you purchased is too high in nicotine, it could be any number of things. Can you give us more specifics and details?
  11. And then, in articles from varied reputable news sources, they said that he went into a vape shop for help/he never entered the shop but stayed outside in his car in the parking lot... he apparently didn't buy the mod/vape pen from that particular shop but was seeking help from the workers inside. No mention of what type of mod it was - whether it was a mechanical or regulated unit. There are too many unknowns and left out details for this to make an impact on what really happened.
  12. "Best" is so subjective, it's whatever you like that can be labeled as "best".
  13. Try taking it apart and putting it back together but adjust the tightness of various parts to see if that fixes the problem.
  14. I'd start trouble shooting by using a different charger to see if that's the problem.
  15. Try filling the tank completely, not just a little or even half way - fill until completely full.
  16. Happy New Year, everyone! May this coming year bring nothing but positives with much love and joy and good health to your loved ones.
  17. From your picture it looks like your tank is empty. If you don't want to burn up all your coils, you might want to fill the tank with e-liquid. When you open the tank, double check to make sure your coil is tightened and it's not loose (don't over tighten or you'll have trouble getting it out to replace it later). Let the coil get saturated with e-liquid in the tank for about 10 minutes before vaping.
  18. Since it's a discontinued item the type and color you're looking for might not be possible to find. Even though it's a "dual coil" RTA, that doesn't mean you can't just build one coil and not do the other one. Just a thought.
  19. Vapor DNA has them in both black and silver. I've bought from them before with good results. https://www.vapordna.com/OBS-Crius-II-Dual-Coil-25mm-RTA-p/obscta.htm
  20. Thanks, @cany! I hope you and your family have a wonderful day, too. Merry Christmas, everyone!
  21. Jeremy, while I understand you're in a hurry to get your problem solved, please do not put up multiple posts about the same thing in different places. I've merged the posts and moved them into the correct area so more people may be able to see it. Hopefully, someone will come along soon to give you the answers you seek. In the mean time I googled your issue and came up with this youtube video. I hope it's helpful.
