Deep end? What's that? This makes no sense to me.

Nothing wrong with have 70+ attys, two eGo kits, 10 or so mods, tons of batteries (18650s, RCR123As, 14500), a plethora of drip tips and a two year supply of nic. Nope, nothing wrong with that at all.

I've heard of a lot of people who go through that coughing - to clear out their lungs. I never did do that. When I cough now, it's usually because of needing to drink more liquid. That doesn't happen much. I started coughing a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what was going on. Turns out I was getting sick. Wow, whodathunkit?

I back you 100% DearHeart!! You are so right on, it's scarey. And yes!! The Stu's Illuminated Juice Box is such an adorable, affordable, great vaping machine juice box, that there really really should be one in every stable! Go for it Nana!!!! It's even comfortable to wear on a lanyard ... right along with the eGo in it's lanyard. OMG, I've gone off the deep end... but it's so nice to have one filled with fruit, and one with 555. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

backin up the backup queen! I'm honored!!!

Oh Beans!! You are not going off the deep end. Not at all. I, on the other hand.... No, not really. I'm not going off the deep end. Not at all. It's much better to have too much vaping stuff (did I really just say "too much" - no such thing) than not enough. Imagine the horror of running out of something: attys, batteries, charger, liquid. You would not be able to vape. Hold on a second, I think I'm making myself sick just thinking of that possibility...gotta pull myself together. <deep breath> Okay, I'm better now. Nope. Being prepared is never going off the deep end. You're just fine. You really are. As a matter of fact, you probably need a few more things. Ever thought about a silver bullet? They are awesome!! The Provape 1 is really nice. Those juice box mods like Uma just got are probably a must, too. Yeah, a must. That would be why I'm seriously considering...oh never mind.

Uma!! Back me up on this one. Please!!!!

I have backups for everything, so I guess the madness never ends. I like to be prepared. I have backups of food in case we get snowed in. And then I make sure to have backups of food that doesn't need power to be prepared in case we don't have power. Plus I keep a backup of propane for the grill so we can use that, too. I keep emergency supplies in the car in case we get caught in a snowstorm or the car breaks down on the highway. And yes, I did the same with analogs. If we were in any winter weather advisories, I made sure to have at least a carton on hand. And plenty of lighters. So many it wasn't as much stuff as I have now, but it wasn't as healthy as this and it sure wasn't this much fun either.

@Brian. Thanks for that link. I have it bookmarked. Cause, well, you know, I might need a backup.

Me, too. I have read some at a couple of other forums (mainly only when there is a link to one from here that someone has suggested), but this is the only one I ever joined. What goes on in some of those other forums is what kept me away from them. I like it here. I'm not an "outgoing" kind of person and I'm still amazed that I participate here. I got a lot of help from the good people here when I first started vaping and I now I just want to help, too. When and if I can. If nothing else, I try to welcome every new person so that they feel as comfortable here as I did when I started.

And yes, I am positive that it was the pixie dust that got me here and kept here.

Hi Proudad, Here's a couple of pics to help clarify everything.

The cartridge will come with atomizer when you buy it:

A drip tip is usually bought seperately:

If you have a cartridge follow mcquinns advice. if you have a drip tip, you'll notice in the pic that there is a small O-ring at the bottom. You might be able to find a thicker O-ring at a hardware store that would give you a tighter fit.

Now I know why I couldn't post my response on the other topic. So I'll post it here now.

Try to hang in there, Prouddad. It can be rough in the beginning to find what it is that makes the perfect vape for you. It can cost a lot of money up front. But then smoking costs a lot of money, too.

I didn't have the problem of hating all the different flavors I tried, but only because I could not taste any of them. There was just no flavor there for me at all. That didn't bother me too much. I still enjoyed vaping and it just felt so much better than smoking. And then I felt so much better myself. I, too, went through a lot of different liquids. I wanted to be able to taste some of the wonderful flavors everyone was commenting on. It just didn't happen for me. I still can't most liquids from most vendors. I can taste the ones I tried from Tasty Vapor and I can taste the ones I tried from Create Vapor, but that's about it. I've even tried making my own and I can't taste the flavorings from some of the companies that sell them. I have no idea why it's this way for me...my nose seems to work just fine...I can taste food...I just can't taste much flavor in vapor. But I didn't give up. I knew I wanted to do this. I knew I wanted it to work for me. I was just so in love with vaping that I couldn't give up. And 15 months later, I'm still here...still smoke free...still vaping...still occasionally try a new liquid in the hopes of being able to taste it. The journey has been fun. I've met a lot of new, interesting, funny, really good people. I'm healthier. I'm happier. And I look at it all as an adventure. If you just hang in there, it might end up being the same for you. And you will probably find the perfect liquid for you, too. Just look at it like a hobby. One that you will have to spend a little bit of money on in order to perfect it, but one that will eventually not cost much at all because you'll know exactly what you want and you'll know exactly what works for you.

Keep hanging around here, too. Lots of people will be willing to encourage you and give you a helping hand.

I am soooooo sorry you had such a terrible day. I learned the same lesson a LONG time ago with a landlord. YOU NEVER EVER leave the walkthrough without a signed document, signed by BOTH parties as to EXACTLY what the condition of any damage or problems are, or something saying everything was fine. THAT would have prevented this entire thing. But of course that does no good now. It is a he said she said type thing and unfortunately many tenants do trash properties. My sister once had a landlord, when she moved out, she had a list from him, that literally listed how many nail holes per room he had to patch and he was charging a two bucks a hole. He found HUNDREDS of holes, of course she can't prove that she did or didn't put them all there, which she said she didn't, but she can't prove it, so it sucks. SO it is equally important that when you rent a place you go through with the landlord and get a SIGNED itemized list of EVERY single issue, no matter how idiotic or minor you might think it is, and have PROOF of damage that existed when you got there. The whole thing just really sucks and I really feel bad for you. On the upside I am sure it will never happen again because I am pretty sure you will never walk away without having signed documents after a walk through.

I am really glad you didn't give in and smoke.....honestly I don't know if I would have or not. I have been vaping almost a year, BUT I have taken a drag off a friend's cig here and there just to see how awful it was, LOL. Yeah, tasted nasty, BUT every time I started smoking again in the past 30 years it tasted nasty, but you keep doing it and become immune to the nastiness again. SO good for you that you didn't smoke!!! Things will get better, and yes, there is always someone who is in a worse situation than we are. Sometimes when things suck it is hard to remember that, at least you recognized that. I hope things start looking up for you VERY SOON!!!!

Hi Christina - Welcome to the forum. Everyone means well. Just try to understand that we hate to see someone make the same mistake we made many years ago. Most of us have spent years trying to figure out a way to quit smoking are are very thankful for ecigs, but we view it as an alternative to smoking. I wouldn't encourage anyone to start vaping any more than I would encourage them to start smoking.

I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and they cost about $4 per pack. I bought a lot of different devices when I first started vaping, so I spent at least as much on vaping as I did on smoking. Sometimes more. I know that by the 6 month mark of being smoke free, that I broke even. BUT....I also had my favorite devices and knew I wouldn't be buying any more (except replacements when needed) and I had several months worth of liquid, too. Now I can go through a couple of months and not spend anything at all. Incredible!!!

A couple of months ago I did have to get the eGo PT, and a lanyard for the eGo, and an eGo case, and a couple of XL eGo batts and XL carts, but I still didn't spend as much as I would have in a month of smoking. And really, I needed some backup batteries anyway. Right?

Somehow - and I have no idea how this might have happened - this week I ended up with a receipt for the purchase of ProVape 1 in my inbox. Oh well...I'll just have to keep it when it gets here I guess...I was getting low on backups anyway. After all, I haven't bought a new unit since I got my BSB last May. And thanks to the good people here who kept mentioning the Ali'i - until I had to go see what it was they were talking about - now I'll find myself in a scramble trying to get my hands on one of those. And one way or another, I WILL get my hands on one of those.

What was it Uma said? You'll never recover? Yeah, that could be right. Just when you think you're doing so good, stuff starts appearing in shopping carts and those pesky "order" buttons get pushed, and all of sudden you have new stuff coming in the mail. Then - I would imagine - you get so excited about getting packages in the mail that you just have to order some more...is that how it works?

The reality is that taste is subjective. So why do juice reviews at all? If what we think about a juice has no weight then why waste the time? That brings us to the real truth. Taste isn't as subjective as we all may think. It's subjective to a point. There is an area where some juice will rise above the rest for the majority and fall below the rest for most people. Otherwise we wouldn't have juices like Dulcis, Atomic Cinnacide, Bobas Bounty, Geoff's Blend and RY4's on the top of of everyones favorite lists. While I think that the OP's review was quite vague I don't think it shouldn't carry any weight. If a juice is REALLY bad then it's safe to assume that it may fall below the bar for most. If that wasn't the case then juice reviews might as well be removed from all vaping forums because they would be pointless. Everyone deserves to voice their opinion so to the OP I say thank you I'll steer clear of this one for now.

The cartomizer does work better than using the cartridges that come with a standard atomizer. The best way to use a standard atomizer is to direct drip.

Back to your question. Take the cap off the cartomizer and look in the center. There will be a wire and a white tube/straw. That actually is a vent. It liquid gets inside the tube it will run out the bottom. You want to add your drops along the side of the cartomizer. The drops should hit the white filler not the tube. I hope that helps.

You might want to watch this video. How to fill a 510 cartomizer

A Pass-Through (PT) is an ecig that you plug into a USB port or USB wall adapter. No battery needed. That has changed a little lately as some PTs are now batteries that you can charge while vaping. Pass Throughs that are not batteries generally give higher voltage (depending on the power source - usually 5 volts).

    PT - not a battery

eGo PT at Vapor Talk Store (eGo battery that you can charge while vaping)

    Vaprlife PT (mod)

What a great gift you got for him!! A variety of juices would probably be a big bonus for him - even if most of them are tobacco flavors. A lot of the fun of vaping is trying different flavors.

My advice would be to tell him to take long, slow drags...to fill his mouth with vapor before inhaling. Also, tell him not to give up if he feels like it isn't working. The best thing to do is to give it a chance. Even if he still smokes for awhile, every cigarette he doesn't have is a good thing. If every time he wants a cigarette he'll vape first, he might cut down on a lot of the cigarettes. If after vaping for awhile he still wants a cigarette, he can have one. That alone might help him not be anxious about it. If he just relaxes and gives the eGo a try, he'll soon be vaping more than he is smoking without working too hard at it and would probably completely replace the cigarettes with the eGo. He doesn't have to push himself at all. And he might even find (like I did) that he loves vaping more than smoking and he'll make the switch quickly. But he needs to know that he doesn't have to.

I smoked for 34 years and didn't have any problems whatsoever switching over...some people have taken longer. But from what I've seen, most people do eventually make the switch. There are quite a few of us here that have smoked for more than 20 years, so he would be in good company if he'd join the forum. We'll give him all the encouragement he could ever ask for. Let him know that we all wish him the best of luck and would love to have him here.

Congrats on making through to this point. Many people have started vaping and never picked up another cigarette since day one. As for me, it's been a battle. I started two years ago at Christmas time and fought with it for over a year. In fact I went back to smoking after only a few months with my first PV. It was one of those mall kiosk types and really didn't work well at giving me what I needed. Then this past January I started again in earnest and haven't had a real analog in 325 days. That's not to say that I haven't had serious cravings, I have, and still do from time to time. But now I just tell myself that I've gone this long without one, and I start vaping a little harder, and the craving goes away and I'm just left enjoying the vape.
The biggest thing for you is to not force yourself. If you need to have an analog that's fine. It's not going to make things any worse and in time you'll find that you'd rather be vaping than smoking. And maybe for you those cravings will just go away like they have for so many others.
Smoking is a hard habit to stop. I know! After 40+ years for me to go this long without a cigarette is a real miracle. And will happen for you too.
Just don't beat yourself up over it. Let you and your body work this out and it WILL happen.

    Good luck and happy vaping.

You know this is a very good question. I can tell you right now, if the day comes and it just might, I will release every bit of information that I have on electronic cigarettes and e Liquid. That includes contacts to order direct from the factories, overstock sources in China and the most effective shipping methods. This should provide enough stock for everyone to survive for quite a while. But of course it's not the ultimate answer.

Following a drop in supply (if it's banned on a large scale there will be no reason for the factories to produce product) I have no doubt the market will go underground. At the moment people sort of look at the government like Mom and Dad. But what happens when Mom and Dad become abusive drug addicts? You grow up, move out and you say F' em.

While the thought of people mixing their own nicotine makes me shudder, you're all adults. Vapor Talk is a platform for information. If legally or financially we're shut down another site will pop up. And like a weed in a garden for every one you kill 2 more pop up. I've said this before, I create the stage but you put on the show. Ultimately, if the people want something, bad enough, they'll get it. It's the American way. Once the boiler has been lit, there is no telling the amount of power it will produce.

heck, if Wikileaks can continue to operate, I'm pretty sure a bunch of Vapers can congregate with very little issue. Some DIY'ers have mastered e liquid mixing to a science (and of course others...not so much) but regardless the information is shared. I say stop asking, start taking.

With all that said however, I don't see a ban in the immediate future, perhaps heavy regulation but in some way, ecigs are here to stay.

    On that note...
