HH.357 - First Impression
tzymroz2013 and one other reacted to Rixter for a topic
My HH.357 2Ω Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer from Avid Vaper just arrived in today's mail. This is one that I've been anxiously awaiting because...well, because it's an HH.357 drip atty! I've been wanting to try one for over a year now...I just didn't want to spend over $25 (shipped) on a single atomizer, but after seeing that they weren't just a flash in the pan (here today, gone tomorrow) I decided that now was the time, so I bought one. I followed the instructions Avid Vaper provided on their product page to the tee, and I can tell you that this is the best performing atomizer I've ever tried. I've used quite a few different atties since I started vaping, but the taste of my juice is definitely better by far in this one than in any of the others. The taste and vapor production at 8 watts is on par with a well set up RBA. Now I see what all the hype was about. I've heard that these last a really long time, too...I'm hoping for at least six months with proper care. My last atty, an Empire Mods 1.5Ω Premium Bridge Free LR901, lasted about 7½ months, and cost $7.49 + shipping. It was a great performer, too...just not as good as the HH.357. The taste is pretty incredible. I still love my RBAs, but they have to be set up properly to really shine. If money's not a concern and you want the best vape you can get right out of the package, the HH.357 is what you want.2 points -
A lot of juice makers use flavorings that contain food coloring. I tend to stay away from juices that are colored but thats just me. I just dont like the idea of adding uneccessary stuff to my vape. Plus, you may find the juice not staying that color. My wife uses little stickies and abbreviates the names on her clearos. That works well. I just grab and go, lol. And most of my juices are clear to amber. It is a little bother but not worth adding stuff to my vape2 points

And as my friend put it that knows both of them well, she is just as crazy as it seems in the video but he is as big of an a-hole as you will ever meet. I guess this might be a case of two people that are just too crazy for cohabitation. I have long felt like a couple should have to live under the same roof for at least 1 year before being issued a marriage license lol.2 points -

Ok this is pretty wild, this couple live in the same city I do and keep (kept) their boat in the same marina we do lol. Talk about a small world LOL http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/temper-tantrum-wife-husband-big-bully-article-1.1408883 Oh by the way they are now divorced.2 points -
Hey, I've become a die hard RBA nut lately (got four of 'em) because the performance is so great, but the flavor of my juices in this atty is absolutely awesome! I'm using a drip shield with it and loading 10 or so drops at a time so it keeps fogging for quite some time. I though I was done with dripping, too...guess not, eh?2 points

I do the same thing. I'm the kind of guy that bummed drags of smokes from my friends when i was a kid, i worked in construction for about 6 years and my hands were always covered in "poisonous" grout and cement products when i'd eat lunch, now i work in a motorpool in the army and you can imagine all the different types "poisonous" fluids i get on my hands on a daily basis and then go to lunch and dinner with lol. if someone wants a drag i'm more than happy to let them try it. if that helps one of my brothers or sisters in arms get off smokes i'm all for it.2 points

some great answers !! allergy to PG is usually uncontrollable coughing more than anything, but since you just quit smoking....I vote cigarette (tons of chemicals other than nicotine) withdrawal. When you are using your ecig, do you pull directly into the lungs or mouth then lungs. pulling directly into the lungs will cause a very harsh hit. Is your battery a variable voltage? there is a learning curve with vaping and finding the equipment and flavors that work best for you. but I promise....It really is worth it !!2 points

Just for kicks, let's compare apples to bazookas: Vision eGo Spinner 1300mAh Variable Voltage (3.3-4.8v) battery - $21.00 (No need for two batteries totaling 560mAh when you have well over twice that much battery life with one Spinner) 510 USB Battery Charger - $2.99 USB Wall Charger - $2.50 Boge 510 Stainless Steel Cartomizers 2Ω or 3Ω (five pack) - $5.50 Drip Tip - $1.99 Shipping - $3.00 Total: $36.98 E-liquid from $2.00 to $2.95 per 10 ml., depending on brand and quantity ordered. Dekang five-packs are usually $10.00.2 points

ahhh but like I said all KR808D-1's are the same. V2 is expensive. You can get a starter kit at litecigusa for about $30 cheaper and they have great customer service. I have a problem with affiliate site owners who only hype suppliers because they make a profit off of them.2 points

No fridge for six years?? Wow that is OFF the Grid Uma! congrats !!1 point

I keep mine in an igloo, on the cool floor. Until lately, I haven't had a refrigerator for over 6 years. (just igloos, with ice packs only when it's super hot outside, and one battery running igloo that worked for about 4 months). All my juices have been fine. They're in a dark, cool, spot. The top of your closet might get warmer than the bottom, but if you have children, and not a locked box, then the top is the best place, yes. The pantry cupboard stays cooler too, I guess because of all the coolness of the cans? So yes, a cool dark place, is best. On really hot I'm so melting in the heat days, I put ice packs in the cooler... and the nic base liquid for DIY in the new (yay!!) fridge. Just make sure the sun isn't hitting it. My black purse gets extremely hot super quickly, so I don't keep very much in there.1 point
-
Uma, that is so cool. I have got to have one. I looked to see if they had one for 50ml bottles because that is the size I order my juices in. If you see anything let me know. But payday I am definitely going to get one of those.1 point

Just playing devils advocate here, but you will most likely find yourself vaping a lot more than you smoked due to its acceptance in places where smoking is not. For example, I am sitting at my desk vaping as I type this instead of waiting till I have time to go outside and smoke. Just advice, take or leave it lol. I do not think you will be happy with a 400mah VV but maybe I am thinking of myself.1 point -

I knew there was something about you....... I have been GM of a Buick GMC dealership for the last 9 years, and was GM of another one the 8 years prior to moving here. I am a HUGE GMC guy. I drive a 2013 GMC Sierra Z-71 and my wife drives a 2012 GMC Yukon Denali lol. I could convert you I think. There is always time to improve ones vehicular decision making haha. I did hear the 2015 Fords are coming standard with a heated rear bumper so your hands don't freeze when pushing them lol.1 point -

I vape such a variety of flavors, even non-flavored throughout the day, week, that I don't really worry myself over it. I've got one flavor that is colored up a real pretty green, which I vape for about an hour a day, to change my palette up. (it's a really strong flavor!). I try to stay away from oil/butter flavors, even though those can taste the best ever. But, it's been recommended to vape only Water Base Food Flavorings, to avoid the microwaved buttered popcorn syndrome. (I forget what it's called). The flavoring keeps me vaping instead of smoking, and if it replaces 4 million problems with one new one, so be it. I'm a grown up, & if I can't handle a problem by now, I never will.1 point

Lung hits, compared to mouth hits....
Uma reacted to haynchinook334 for a topic
The reason why the 14mg of nic gives me a "dizzy" hit, is because I'm lung hitting my E-cig of 24mg of mouth hitting. I find that lung hitting at a lower "mg" of nic will give me a better nic fix, then of a higher "mg" at a mouth hit. My goal is to hit the lowest "mg" of nic as possible while still thinking I'm still smoking. If a 14mg of nic can get me "dizzy" off the set up I have now, then I know a better set up can render me of nic all together.1 point -

I don't know that there is any data to support or deny safety of any food coloring. Then again, the flavorings are not intended for vaping either. Personally I would use another type of identifier. pin striping for model cars/planes? I use the small fingernail stickers...stick well and easy to replace if they come off.1 point

Marketplace: Tax and shipping...?
Tam reacted to Christopher for a topic
Sorry to taking so long to get back to this, today was a busy day The Marketplace is a multi vendor store. So if you purchase items from more than one vendor, you will be charge multiple shipping rates the same as you would on Amazon for example. Items ship from multiple locations. We do still offer free shipping (and have no plans to change that) You can find Vapor Talk's products by visiting the Marketplace home page, looking to the left and selecting "Vapor Talk" from the vendor list. Then "View vendor products." That will show you all products currently sold by Vapor Talk. Any of those products purchased will result in free shipping. Also, when shopping in the Marketplace you'll notice a "product filter" on the left hand side. There is an option to select "free shipping." Doing so will remove any products that do not offer free shipping making it easier for you to keep costs down. Alternatively the Vapor Talk store should be back up and running by the end of this weekend. Given the fact we're now handling transactions for multiple vendors and hundreds of orders we needed to upgrade out payment system to something a little more advanced than we were using before. If you ever have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to open a ticket and we will always address your concerns. You're also welcome to vent on us if we do something wrong1 point -

I have seen something called "guest tips" also. The disposable tips are use once and toss. I dont remember where they are loacted but bet someone can find them. I got one from a juice dealer once. You could also carry a few Njoy's cigs and just give them out. Then tell them that imagine that with good tastes on top of the njoy nic hit. People dont share ciggs at work so they should respect your ecig mod also. Now if the person is cute and you are available.....1 point -

Needing E liquid Advice
Bradb2014 reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I drink a ton of sodas, and for that matter a ton of Makers Mark on the weekends and I get dehydrated as hell now and never have before. That is the only side effect I have had. I have to force myself to drink a bottle of water for every two drinks I have and cut back my soda intake by only having one a day at work with lunch and drinking water the rest of the day. It has helped me immensely. I got so dehydrated over Memorial Day weekend I ended up in the hospital with congestive heart issues because I rehydrated faster than my body could process the fluid and ended up with about 12lbs of unwanted fluid that wouldn't go out. Needless to say, constant hydration is key with vaping.1 point -

I prefer Kanger T2s and T3S), and 3 bottles of liquid for $38.99. Personally I think this is the best starter kit value on the web.1 point -

I take issue with your assertion that V2 has the best ecig, when in fact all KR808D-1's are the same. V2's is the same as everyone else. V2's assertion that their batt can last a day to a week (" Standard V2 Automatic Batteries can last from 1 day to a week before they require recharging" ) their standard batt is 250 mah. This is false advertising. We all know that batt would be lucky to last 2-3 hours.1 point
