jasonculp reacted to FXRich in Political Parties
George Washington once said Political Parties will someday destroy this country. After seeing what happened in the last election I'm starting to believe that. The last Governor elected in Oregon was under investigation for corruption during the election, 2 months after he was elected, he had to resign because of the corruption that the people knew about during the election. I believe that if Charlie Manson ran for election here with a D after his name he would get elected. Don't get me wrong, the Rs can be just as bad, that's why I'm non partisan, and end up voting for the lesser of two evils.

jasonculp got a reaction from Edna in OTR Mod/tank Suggestions Please
I use a NEBOX as my daily driver, and have since it came out.  (I am not really sure if I recommend it though).  It has terrible TC, so I run mine in wattage mode with the RBA.  It holds 10 ml but has been known to leak. If the tank get too low, or orings are not sealing.  The RBA also has to be wicked correctly, or it will leak too.  It also has no airflow adjustment. I vape at 25 - 30 watts and one tank and one battery lasts nearly all day.
I drive for a living too.  I carry 4 charged batteries, plus the one in the mod.  I also carry a charger and spare batteries with me.  I have never had to use it.  I have charged batteries in the motel at night.

I agree with you, @FXRich, and @Adversarious1.  The main advantage/disadvantage to a "Wide Mouth" drip tip is the way it feels in your mouth. ( @Jeffb, I know I left myself wide open with that statement.)  I am curious to know if the narrow opening in the 510 connection to the wider opening cause a venturi, or possibly turbulence that could enhance flavor.  I know I really prefer the "Wide Mouth" drip tips in the 11mm - 13mm range.

jasonculp reacted to FXRich in Sup Folks, what tank are you using?
I have tried many different tips, for awhile I was using a protank 2 drip tip on my Subtank minis, and they work just as well as the tip that came with the tank. I have a CNC lathe, and have made what I prefer to use for myself, a Delrin tip with a little larger hole through the base, and a diameter that's a little larger than a protank tip. It works for me. The only problem is I walked away from the machine with a full bar of Delrin in it, now I have several hundred that I can't find the right O-rings for.

@FXRich  Are you in the mountains? If you are I'm so jealous.  Texas is great (for the most part) about personal freedoms but SO FLAT
I have to drive about to go shooting but that's ok. BTW there's nothing wrong with being old fashioned

@Tam The office I use to work at tried that crap of "not in your personal vehicle, while on our property", but 500+ employees reminded them that we can park in a city lot (a mile away), and walk or take the bus to work, and let the homeless or circus set up tents in "their" parking lot... or all quit...  They saw the light and backed off, but they were pushing for more totalitarian control... no smoking in your car, no eating your lunch in your car, no weapons in your car, and the most egregious of the list... random inspections of your car (interior/trunk) while on their property... which is a total violation of our Constitutional Rights!
This state drives me nuts sometimes...  The whole of the state is mostly conservative, yet they keep electing Utopian Totalitarian Nanny-state Hippie Dems/Liberals/Socialists into the state and local governments... and then complain all day about how their rights are continually eroded
If I were there, you'd better believe I'd be in the front row... citing my 4th and 5th Amendment rights, and telling the school administration to take a long walk off a short pier!!
My property insurance agent recently came out and told me I had to cut down some trees because they posed a threat to the house if they fell... okay, I can see that... but 3-weeks later another guy came out to see if they had been removed... and then proceeded to tell me that I had too many cars in my driveway... the couch-style bench and two chairs on my porch didn't "look good", and that the English Ivy growing up one side of my house didn't "look good" and could be a "potential fire hazard" or "could push the house off the foundation"!  Ummm... it's my property and if I want 20 cars on blocks in the driveway and yard it's MY BUSINESS (BTW, the six vehicles and three motorcycles in my driveway all RUN and are driven regularly... I have 4 drivers in my house!), and I reminded him he worked for the insurance company, not Better Homes and Garden nor was he a Botanist...  If English Ivy were a hazardous plant, every University and government office in the US and UK would lay in ruins!  If they try any crap with my policy, I'll be happy to find another insurance company   Crap like this is why I'd NEVER live in an area with an HOA, lol... I'd be the guy with a bright pink mailbox and a Camaro on blocks in the front yard... just to piss them off...

jasonculp got a reaction from Adversarious1 in What is the best 18650 battery available?
@FrancisKelch My question would be why?
From Mooch's review of the battery:
If it works just like a HG2, why not stick with a proven brand such as LG, and not a manufacturer that puts a dangerously misleading rating on a battery?  From the link you posted they are $18.95/pair and at the bottom of the page you can get LG2s for 15.95/pair.
They do have a nice looking wrapper though.  I personally will stick to the major manufacturers such as Samsung, Sony, and LG personally.
If you are going to spend over $9.00 a battery, I would suggest the new VTC6.  It seems to edge all of the 3000mAh batteries out at this time.

Don't get me wrong they are very good at what they do. What scares me is when I go to a Home owner that thinks he knows how to do finish work. They are the ones that you need to watch out for doing this. They do not look out for the chute moving around. The other is the forms they try and make. I have seen a few blow out. They don't realize how heavy wet cement is. and Pow. the side of the blows out... This was one of those jobs. LOL Things like what you do, yeah you need the certs and training. I drove Semi for 13 years with a 53" Trailer and Conventional Tractor doing pick-ups and deliveries in Chicago. I got to they point where the harder it was to get into made want to get in there that much more. It was a few days ago I did a job where I had some left over cement. He ask if I could take it to his neighbors, I said sure... They were not sure I could get my truck in though... I said "let me look..." Well it was a tough one but I got in there. His wife came out and complemented me on my driving skill. He handed my a $100 tip. He said it was worth it seeing me just pop that truck in where he needed it. LOL It told him I cut my teeth on driving in Chicago. There it was Moving Cars, Poles and Buildings... Out here it just Trees and Moving Deer. LOL

Got six new drip tips with the swirly thingy on the inside so the tank doesn't spit juice into your mouth. If I'm remembering right it was @Rixter who recommended these and I'm liking them so far. They're much smaller around in diameter than what the pictures made them look, which I really like the smaller tip. Might need to get some more clear ones.

jasonculp reacted to Adversarious1 in What are you paying for your favorite juice?
My 2 cents with my "business" hat on, but also with some consumer based experience...
Having vaped Eden's Empire already and getting ready to vape Crown Jewels (with plans of trying the rest of the line in the not too distant future), I would put Black Label up there with the likes of the "top shelf" brands such as ANML, Cosmic Fog, Charlie Noble and others.  I consider it a premium e-liquid and as a consumer I would expect it to be priced as such.  I think a regular price of $19.99 is a fair price for it.  B&M's have overhead beyond just rent and would likely charge more to offset those costs.
For premium e-liquids I like to follow my beer/booze philosophy: I drink Miller Lite or Jack Daniels for quantity, but I drink Guinness or Woodford Reserve for quality.  With e-liquids, I do vape my own or I vape a local house blend for quantity, but every once in a while I need that quality.  That isn't to say my "quantity" choices aren't any good.  If they weren't I wouldn't vape them.  But I can definitely tell the difference between a local house blend vs. a premium e-liquid.
