Agree with Bebop, box mods aren't comfortable in my hands, like tubes are. And I saw a vamo in black chrome yesterday, it was a couple months old, and looked a couple years old

This is a good place to be welcome. I started out small 1 battery 1 tank and left the analogs behind. Then I went to 3 tanks ( vivi nova ) 3 batteries and replacement wicks. I plan on stepping up the game battery and tank wise. Once my kids final tuition check clears.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. Both the exaggeration, and the probable cause.

These stories will be exaggerated and made more sensational by the media. The "victim" will also tend to exaggerate the story.

I think it's important to understand that there is a risk involved with an e-cig product, but that risk is amplified by:

1) user error
2) lack of user education
3) user disregard
4) user negligence
5) user cheapskate
6) faulty equipment

I don't mean to make light of something potentially tragic. I'm just trying to emphasize its important to be smart about this and not go cheap where it matters most.

Got email notification that my vivi nova shipped today.

Yeah I haven't spent quite a bit of money on vaping. I'm still getting set up though. This paycheck I spent around $130 on vaping (out of the 300 I left myself for spending) but I bought a new battery and tank and quite a bit of juice. All I really need now is a case and a few tanks so I don't have to clean out tanks to switch flavors. Once I get those, I'll just be buying juice and coils. I look at it this way though, I don't really have any hobbies and it's something I enjoy so why not splurge on it. It's better than dumping 35 a week into something I was enjoying and that was killing me before. And no, I don't hide it from anyone.

No. I like the amounts I'm spending on vaping supplies just fine, thanks.

No, I put them in plain sight, which is where he'll never see them. Really. I brought that to his attention once and he swore I was out of my mind. For three weeks before Christmas his unwrapped present sat on the coffee table. He even moved it a couple of times. And I got pictures of it in his hand.

And he never noticed.

I can understand the money issue, I quite smoking to save money and cause I was tired of smelling like cigarettes. I accomplished the smell part, but lost on the saving money... lol. I am constantly buying New hardware, tanks, drip tips, battery mods, etc. Drives my wife nuts, but she vapes too, and only minds when I spend $60+ on a mod. She knows though when I buy a mod then she will be getting whatever tank or mod I wasn't satisfied with so it works out.

That's what I DO - well, okay, I have all of them in a tackle box (they were in the cabinet of desk, so he still couldn't see them), except for the sample bottles of No Bake Cake and Mint Chip Ice Cream that Aqua sent to me - those are on my desk. And my vary rarely used Turkish Honey Blend, which is only used if I decide to mix it with my Honey Wood - but that's far enough back in the cabinet (behind all my meds) that he couldn't see it from where he's sitting. I was thinking about getting some straight honey flavored juice to mix with the turkish blend to cut down on the harsh, but I don't know if that sample has to steep before it's palatable (they made it up because I asked for it), but as it came out, it was pretty nasty.

But the fact of the matter is, we're on a fixed income. I get disability, and both he and my oldest son are in college. Oldest son lives there, but hubby drives, so that adds another expense (gas for going 40 minutes one way two and from campus all week).

But I forgot to add, I ordered Chocolate Banana from Vape Dudes and another attempt at Irish Cream from, oh, I can't remember the name right now. If that Irish Cream isn't right, I think the last place I have left to try is EC Blends.

I had this happen with the first coil that came with mine -I checked it and got a new one .it seemed to be the problem .There was something wrong with the coil.try that see if if doesnt help .

freak out over how many flavors? 15 tops?

i have over 150 sitting here in premixed bottles... he can freak out when you beat me.

The only reason I can think of is because the "faux analog" looking e-cigs, well, look exactly like an analog, if you ignore the fact that there is no ash, no smoke coming from the tip, and it's not getting shorter. Therefore, SOMEONE'S going to look at it and yell, "SHE'S SMOKING!"

I wrap a couple of my wife's pony tail holders around mine to make a guard, and it has fallen on the boat several times and not broken yet. I do this with my Davide Minis as well, when we are on the boat. Stuff just flies around everywhere running up and down the lake.

Holy smokes, Rixter! I'm like, seriously drooling right now. Hubby winces at how many tanks I have right now (1 Davide, 6 PT 2's, and 4 Evods). He'd drop a brick if I had a mod for every tank!

Now, is that ALL your mods, or do you keep another or some others off to the side for sampling stuff?

I'm hoping to have at least two Evods left over for sampling stuff once I get my "usual stuff" - most of the stuff I'll vape in a week - in tanks (or even rotating tanks.....). That is, once I decide on everything. I wanted to start trying some other stuff, but some of this stuff is sooo good I want to keep it, (and yet, right now, with all the flavors I have, minus the three samples I got from Aqua, there are times I STILL can't decide on what to vape, nothing's hitting the right note with me - usually after I've eaten something flavor altering, or sometimes after I've just gotten up, or a LOT of times after brushing my teeth, or when I'm having panic attacks). THAT's why I'm still looking and sampling, lol.

I suppose that way, you two, you don't have to worry about reprogramming for the different settings for different flavors - just keep one flavor on the same unit all the time, so the programming's already in there, right? But gosh, you two, that's a LOT of units that you must keep around. If I had a unit for every different flavor I vaped on a weekly basis? Well, um, I'm up to four or five right now.....hubby would have a coronary. Get me this APV for Christmas, get me this APV for my birthday, get me this APV for our anniversary/mother's day (often on the same weekend, or within the same week).

I like to have a good variety of flavors at my desk, and the easiest way to do that is by having several setups ready to choose from...that's just how I roll.

Also, it's the only way my OCDness will allow me to be.

As a matter of fact, I did buy the M16 mod, RBA, Kick, batteries, & charger for a friend. I'm gonna set it up for him since this will be his first mod and his first RBA.

I normally use AWs or Samsungs, but I got the TrustFire batteries for my buddy's setup because they were the best deal...thought I'd get a couple extras to try out for myself, too.

Among others, I do own a TrustFire TR-001 and it gets the job done quite nicely, if not quickly.

The Vape Mail has arrived! Got my entire set up in the mail - mod, batteries, tanks, charger (so that's two packages), and some nice little trial bottles from Aquatroy. Only thing I'm waiting on is my Honey Wood, and the Irish Cream that we are waiting on. Now I have to dig through all this stuff and get my tanks set up.

Wow. Didn't realize I didn't finish this post before I went to bed, and firefox crashed overnight. Yesterday, we bought my new Davide. When we got it, hubby showed me how to put it together, and we filled it with the 618 custom blend we ordered. Well, sometime yesterday evening, I decided I wanted to add a little French Vanilla to see what it tasted like (I add Fr Vanilla tobacco blend to the regular 618), tried to open it and couldn't, so called hubby, but he was busy and couldn't open it at the minute (tank was 1/2 gone by this time, standard sized tank thank goodness). So I decided to see if I could figure it out. Well, I unnscrewed it all right, unscrewed the wrong silver part, and it basically came apart in my hand, spillign 1/2 a tank of 618 EVERYWHERE, well, not everywhere, but all over me at least. Between my spilling 1/2 a tank of it (and then refilling to a full tank AGAIN) we've used 1/2 of our 22ml custom order in about 2 days.

Also picked up a bottle of Sweet Tobacco, that probably needs to steep a little while yet, judging by the taste. I'm hoping I like it.

Also picked up another Evod. I would LIKE an evod for every sample I have unless I've already decided I don't like that flavor (color coded, of course), and I would like to pick up another large-ish tank, like the Davide.

One thing we forgot to pick up, since we only had a 10 ml sampler bottle and I almost went all the way through of that: French Vanilla Tobacco. So we will be making a run back out to Jerseyville early next week, as that is the one I spend the second largest amount of time vaping, plus I add it to other vapes sometimes.

Exactly, though I'm slightly confused by your statement that it isn't, but then go on to say that it is.
