Tam reacted to Christopher in Hi I am a fairly new to Vaping but I need some help...
    Welcome to the forum!

The juice makes a difference for a couple of reasons, one, some people find they are sensitive to PG based liquid (which is usually the standard base mix) it usually gives quite a harsh throat hit as that was at one point the largest request from smokers. Thus, it gives that "kick." Over time though some have found they don't like the feeling or that it gives them the feeling their chest is tight. Thus enters VG e liquid. VG is a different base and tends to be smoother and much less harsh.

Something to keep in mind is that nicotine itself, if taken in large quantities can give you nasty heartburn, worse than you may have felt in the past. (Nicotine in high doses has been shown to cause GERD in certain individuals) In some people nicotine can weaken the lower esophageal sphincter (the muscle that controls the opening between the esophagus and stomach) and prevents the acid-containing contents of the stomach from entering the esophagus.

I would suggest picking up some VG e liquid (The Vapor Talk store just started carrying VG liquid as an option) and also, try stepping down the strength. If you're on 24mg, perhaps think about moving down to 16mg. If the thought of stepping down makes you worry you might relapse then instead try to take some breaks in between heavy vaping. This will help ensure you're not ingesting nicotine too quickly. (Remember while the delivery is the same lung method, vaping itself is a bit different than smoking)

EDIT: And yes, VG liquid will work in your eGo T. Though, 100% VG may cause it to clog. Vapor Talk VG e liquid is 70/30

I always hate seeing these threads because I feel bad about the amount of money people spend. Unfortunately most retailers are pretty uneducated when it comes to e cigarettes. A couple things, are the ecigarette are least working for you? Meaning, are they satisfying your craving?

I would suggest getting an eGo Twist. This battery lasts upwards of 12+ hours and the voltage can be adjusted. (higher voltage means stronger vaper, great for when you're drinking or first thing in the morning) As for what to use to hold liquid. I would go with a Viva Nova if you don't' want to deal with constantly filling or the leaking issue. You may also want to look into cartomizers. They've been around for a while, but they still work great (I've been using cartomizers for almost 3 years and still haven't switched to anything else) How to fill a cartomizer: here. Lastly you'll want a charger: here

    So checklist

    1. eGo twist
    2. Cartomizer or Viva Nova (your preference)
    3. Charger

Also when you're checking out you're welcome to ask for a sample bottle of any e liquid and we'll usually throw it in This code will bring down the price 15% also: WG8848K907UY

Lastly if you feel like getting really crazy, you can always look at the eVic (what I use but a bit cumbersome) > http://www.vaportalkstore.com/joye-evic/

    Hope that helps!

The 100% organic/VG liquids that I bought from Virgin Vapors worked fine with my T2s, never tried them in any of my CE4 or CE5. They are a bit thick though so I just added a drop or two of distilled water and mixed until I got the liquid down to a thinner level. That's just my experience with them.

MMMMMMM VT- summer melon (new absolute favorite), macchiato, midnight, sweet dawn !!!!

Tam...I have found with the VT liquids they go well with everything. For me VT is always best with dripping, but I have no complaints with using them in my DCT, vivi nova, ego CC and evod.

For me, the summer melon is the only liquid I have ever tried that I did not feel the need to alter. I mix my own liquids because I am flavor challenged....with the VT summer melon, sweet dawn and midnight, I can actually vape without having to change anything.

Thank you Chris for bringing them back

@Snubber...Thanks for starting this tread !! VT deserves the acclaim

Tam got a reaction from Aquatroy in Tam's First Impressions On Vision 510 Nano Clearomizer
So I bought two of the Vision 510 nano clearomizer from LitecigsUSA.

    http://www.litecigus...clearomizer.htm

It's a cute little thing. I think it would look better if I could find the right thread cover for my eGo 650 mAh pass through battery. Anyone have a rec for that?

Anyway, I filled it up and let it sit so the wick could soak up the e-liquid. I've tried other bottom feeders before and have been less than happy with them. The first bottom feeder I tried was a Stardust-style. It worked okay but was a PITA to fill and the flavor was very muted. The most recent is the Tabac BCC clear cartomizer (a Kangor T3 clone). It sounds almost gurgly when I draw from it and the flavor is just... weird. That's what I get for getting a clone. I'll be getting a real T3 to try soon.

Anyway... the first dozen draws from this Nano was very harsh, it reminded me of getting a dry hit when direct dripping. Just about the time I was getting ready to pitch this thing -- something happened and suddenly I wasn't getting the dry hit flavor and the gurgling sound. Now I'm getting nothing but flavor and a smooth draw, no burned taste at all. It's currently filled with Sweet-Vapes' Dulce de Leche, 12 mg, 70 PG/30 VG and it tastes almost like I'm direct dripping! It has a semi-firm draw but it's not what I'd call hard. Just a bit firmer than a Vision Stardust (long wick).

The thing I like best about the nano is the small size. When I'm not direct dripping I tend to change from one flavor in a clearomizer to another so I have a bunch of them lined up to change off to. I like that I can have smaller sizes so I can fill more often. Could be my imagination but I prefer the "fresh" e-liquids better. I'll probably be buying more of these.

I kind of wondered about that when I first read it, but I've barely started on my first cup of coffee so...

That's a bit too far for me as I'm several hours south of Brighton. Kitsune tried the "new-ish" store in Littleton last year and said it was great, though.

I'm a female and the "cutest" that I go is my Vision Spinners (two in 900 mAh and one 1300 mAh) in purple with a matching purple drip shield and purple swirl drip tip. Okay, then there's the 650 mAh lavender eGo T with a CE4 and a matching lavender tip. Other than those concessions I'm more into, "How well does it work for me?"

You may also want to look at the eGo C, it's the Tank version of the eGo. http://www.vaportalkstore.com/starter-kits/joye-ego-c/

We have a code running that'll bring the kit down 15%
WG8848K907UY It also includes a free bottle of e liquid which will save you another 6-7 bucks and of course if you run into problems, you know where to find us

In a moment of weakness I picked up two new 900 mAh Vision Spinners - one in black and one in blue. Um...I don't recall where I ordered them from. Guess I'll find out in a day or two when they get here. I'm finding I prefer the 900s to the 1300 for some reason.

Got 10 2-dram glass bottles with drip tops from Specialty Bottles today.

I keep my PG/VG in 2 each blue jars, My Nic in Amber jars, and Premixed in a Amber jar. These are 9 oz. short wide mouth glass jars Seem to work better for me easier to siphon out liquid and less chance of tipping over. Here are some of my flavors for DIY Can you tell I like Wizard Labs. Some more flavors including VZ super concentrated and lorann's plus other brands. Also syringes, pipettes, and plastic boxs for everything else. A couple of projects that I so far have not had time to do are make a stand for PV's. and a small wood cabinet to hold all vaping supplies. Hopefully soon. What do you folks think? Kinda OCD right. Thanks for looking all comments and or critiques are appreciated.

Um...without knowing what kind of cartomizer or clearomizer you were using I'll venture a guess that you filled it and didn't wait before vaping. That would lead to the wick or filler material (depending on whether you used a clearomizer or a cartomizer) not being given time to absorb the juice and get saturated before you vaped on it.

Now that you have the burnt taste in there, it's next to impossible to get it out. I'd start fresh with a new one. This time, after filling, let it sit a few minutes to thoroughly get wet and let the wick/filler absorb and then take a hit. Should be better this time.

Of course this is just in general terms since I don't know the details of what you're using.

The eGo is popular because it works so well but I understand not wanting to deal with the mouthpieces etc.

You could always pick up a single ego Battery (they last upwards of about 16 hours) a charger and a pack of cartomizers. Cartomizers have been around for a while but I still use them and they work great. You can vape on it all day without having to worry about the battery draining and constantly running out. I'm a heavy vapor so I understand where youre coming from

Along with what Uma said, if you ever get gurgling from your cartomizer, atomizer, clearomizer, etc. Just unscrew it from the battery, dab the battery post, hold the tissue very loosely under the CE4 (we're going to pretend that's what you're using for this example so I don't have to keep typing everything every time ) and blow through the mouth piece.

Sometimes you get liquid inside the center post of the CE4 and that causes it to gurgle. Cleaning the battery post, dabbing out the under side of the CE4 and blowing through it to get the rest of the liquid out will also help.

There are a lot of really nice people on this forum. So much knowledge all in one place!

You're welcome. It's a good site, lots of wonderful folk here.
Oh! Be sure to dry the battery off extremely well before each charging. You've undoubtedly already discovered that any time you lose oomph, in between charges, drying off the connection will take it back to par. (but in case you haven't, or in case a lurker hasn't, I thought it worth sayin').

Tam reacted to Sonar505 in How to maintain & rebuild a Vivi-Mini Nova and CE4
The Vivi-Mini Nova's and the CE4 rebuildables are one the stable vaping items that always seem to generate quite a bit of discussion. Whether you Love them or hate them almost everyone seems to have at least tried them. Even vapors who tend to prefer the higher end stuff usually reveal that they have a few for when they go out and about and don't want to take any chances with their more expensive equipment. They have been out for quite a while now and have been through a few changes. But the look and ease of use have not changed. There have also been many clones made that can sometimes be hit or miss. Quite a few people have contributed to making them better trying different wick and coil combinations until they found what works for them. They have also been wiling to share their findings with the vaping community and for that I thank them. Here is what they look like for those few that have not used or seen one. When you first buy one you might be amazed at the ease of use. Can be filled straight from the bottle (no syringes needed), they produce a lot of vapor, are super easy to disassemble and clean, And have very good flavor , for those that say the flavor is muted there are simple changes to improve that also. For those that don't like rebuilding you have that option also they sell replaceable heads in different resistance that can be bought very cheaply, screwed on refilled and go. If you like working with your hands then they can easily be rebuilt for even cheaper. It's your choice. You may already have your routine down on how you handle your Vivi Nova's. So what follows isn't for everyone its for someone who has been using one for a while now and doesn't want to spend money on more heads or someone who wants to coax more flavor out of them. They might not know what the term dry burn means or even that you could rebuild them. This is what works for me. I have broken it down into two parts. First is after you have already rebuilt the head and want to replace the wick either because it will no longer clean or you want to change flavors. The 2nd Part is how to recoil and rebuild the head to set it up for easy wick changes. So now you don't have to wait for the wick to dry before refilling. As I might have mentioned before there are quite a few clones and more coming. This is also how you dry burn to clean when you first get these , except you can leave the silica wick in. it won't burn the red hot coil will turn it from black back to white. Part 2 I hope that I answered more questions than I created. But if you do have any please post them. Thank you for taking the time to read/view this.

Just ordered a bunch of DIY flavors and diluting liquids from Perfumers apprentice.

2 purple spinners, 2 EVODs, and replacement heads for EVODs from myvaporstore. As a side note, one of the spinners i got a few weeks ago from them died within a week. I sent an email and they promptly sent an apology email and included the shipping label to return it. I think it's awesome when vendors not only replace stuff, but don't make you pay the return shipping.
