  1. You really need to shut up now. You are are breaking forum rules by mentioning illegal drugs. One more comparison of vaping and illegal substances and you will be banned.

  3. Drastic changes are in motion on a lot of things, but many are common sense regulations. We all knew this was coming. CASAA is doing everything it can. Your best bet is to donate $$$ there because they are our strongest ally much like the NRA is to gun owners. I am a member and contributor to both.

  4. I saw that the other day! I dunno Troy. I'd like to think it was skill, but just dumb luck it looks like. I tell all my guys, if they feel the steer tires go off the shoulder to not fight the wheel. If that guy had fought the wheel, it would've definitely rolled on its side. I've been run off the road a couple times, and each time I just let the truck take me where it wanted to go and kept it upright.

  5. Nicotine is already legal. It may be regulated beyond what we like but will remain legal and accessible. The comparisons you made show a level of paranoia that is near the top of the scale of anything I have ever seen on this or other forums and I think you might should explore that. I am not trying to be mean, just being serious with you. This is nothing but a money grab. Will Vaping get more expensive in the future? Yes. Will flavors and marketing be regulated at some point? Yes, but there will always be a workaround imo. The thing being missed is nicotine is an FDA approved product. Food Grade Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin are FDA approved. Food flavorings are already FDA approved. Every product that goes into an e-cig is on its on merit an approved product. The biggest problem is the hole being cut in the wallets of big tobacco. If there were ANY credible studies to show vaping to be anywhere near as harmful as smoking they would have already published studies with merit. To date only opinions and a bunch of "I don't knows" have been the result. Once the tobacco companies get full fledged into the industry i suspect the news and studies will amazingly turn positive. You cannot effectively ban something that is already legal and approved for other uses without a solid reason backed in science.

    New to vaping, help!

I just checked it, and tightened it up, just to be sure, I'll see how that works, and if not, I did buy extra coils as well.

    Looking for advice

Because over the last year I have tried about everything. I don't want to sound conceited but cost has never really been an object for me with vaping and by far the Vision Spinner has been the most consistent battery or unit I have had or tried regardless of cost. I just got the V2 and it is #1 on my list (over any APV I have tried). For OP though I might revise it to 4 1300mah Spinners instead of 3 1600mah simply due to the V1 having the ability to be used with a standard Ego lanyard. The 4 1300mah Spinners I still use I got over a year ago and they still last all day and night and into the next day. For $24.95 at my preferred vendor that is a bargain. I am not sure if there is or will be a lanyard to use with the V2 but on a rig I would think the ability to use a lanyard would be very very handy. I have dropped my KPT2s and Davides on my boat a ton. I have jumped in the water with a Spinner around my neck. I have dropped them in puddles, had them in pouring rain, and have yet to have an issue. I like to find what works and stick with it and for me that is Spinners, KPT2s and Mini Davides (before they screwed them up and made them use the Aspire coils). I bought Discount Vapers out of Mini Davides beforethey made the change

    Looking for advice

Over a year in to my vaping experience, if I had $200 to spend to get start up hardware I would buy 3 Vision Spinner 2 1600mah, an extra charger, and 3 KPT 2s and 4-5 boxes of coils as opposed to any APV.

You can spend as much as you want and get as many features as you want BUT if you are stranded on an oil rig there is nothing as consistent and worry free than Vision Spinners is all I am saying. Go read through the "help it broke" sub forum and look at how many issues people have with APVs vs Ego batteries. Its worth considering.

  22. My genuine 1100mAh batteries charge in about 3 hours, give or take, using a 420mAh charger, but my 950mAh clones seem to take forever... I've seen them take 6 hours to reach full charge, even if they are far from dead.... So, it really depends on the quality of battery too.

As a nurse (and that by no means makes me an expert) my guess would be it's any one of the things Mtdobies mentioned above. Also, could it be that his dietary habits have changed some since he started vaping, or getting less exercise maybe?

  36. If you let a battery get below a certain point it will damage it's ability to charge. I think the absolute low is 3.1volts. Lower than that and damage will occur. It could be that you drained it beyond it's capacity to recharge. I check mine when I start loosing vapor, if it is at or below 3.5v I will charge it and I don't let it get below 3.3v. I should add that some people use a "Kick" to protect the battery. That might be something you will want to help you not over drain the battery. The "Kick2" from EVOLV will allow you to go to .5 ohms

  38. Set your meter to Volts DC and check your battery out of the MOD. Check it to your Volts with the battery in the MOD and see what the difference is. If your battery out of the MOD is below 3.2 Charge it then test again. If it is not at least 4.1 after charge your battery may be faulty. Symbol Chart

    Steeping questions

If steeping is the aging process per se' , then I would say no that's not right. Maybe her juices Dont need to be steeped or perhaps they already are idk.

  40. Sorry but No, I will not share my business plan on this board. If you want to ignore that your voice would/could help that is up to you. Just saying that every voice counts. This is not a case where we are vaping Non FDA approved ingredients. There is not one ingredient in my juice and the majority of Juice makers that is not FDA approved already. This is a case of Big Tobacco, Phrama and Government throwing their weight around because this industry is cutting into their bottom dollar and they want control over it. They have shown that they are not above lying and over exaggerating reports to get their way. No one is talking about people going to Jail here. With all do respect, I think your a little over the top with some assumptions here. Adversarial... what? CASAA? CASAA is a non profit advocate for the E-Cigarette industry that is made up of lawyers and others fighting the FDA on the front lines. Please before you start throwing out accusations here, you need to do some research into what is going on here. You speak as if you have already thrown in the towel on this and that is your choice. I chose to fight tooth an nail for every vaper, my business, and every other small business that will/could be affected by this. I don't think calling for a black market is a helpful approach at this time and that is my opinion. This same thing happened during prohibition and many people died from tainted alcohol. There needs to be regulation and not a single person/business would disagree with that. What needs to fought for is a fair playing field that will not cripple this industry creating job loss and putting 90% of the E-Cigarette industry out of business. This would in effect hand it over to Big Tobacco and Big Pharma on a FDA silver platter.

  41. I wish some Juice making companies would not ignore the PG base that is in the flavorings, treating it as if it does not exist in the final product. It would be like McDonald's saying their burgers are Fat free because they didn't add extra fat. They can only make this claim if the flavorings they use are not PG base. This is a company that is not taking into account the PG base of the flavorings they use. This is a issue with anyone that has a PG allergy because It is Not truly "PG free". They just don't add straight PG to the mix. If someone with a PG allergy were to vape this thinking it was PG free they would have an allergic reaction. If is indeed 35% Flavoring then the true ratio would be closer to 15-25%PG/65VG not 0PG/65VG. It is more likely 10-20% other ingredients (Water, Artificial Flavor, Alcohol..etc) 15-25% PG 65% VG.

  46. You just nailed my number one main concern that I have had this whole time. We can throw around the word "regulation" because it sounds like a good thing, but it's not inherently good or bad. In this case, it is going to be bad. They "regulate" cigarettes and they contain thousands of chemicals that do nothing but bad. They said that they found liquid with components of antifreeze in it; well once they finish with it, it will contain a lot worse.
    1 point
  47. Do the math. tobacco = 4000 chemicals e liquids = 2 main chemicals We can use the death statistics from tobacco related deaths and sort of get an idea that there will be at the very least, fewer deaths caused by ecigs. I think it's a valid statement to use and further sheds light on the goofy way they are treating ecigs and ignoring all the things we do know about cigarettes! They piss and moan about child proof caps on juice bottles but never mind all the cigarette buts children can pick up off the ground and many still burning too! It is all politics!
    1 point
  48. I fail to see the problem if companies stop advertising ecigs as ways to quit smoking! Market them simply as ecigs, no other claims. What hurt the industry was such claims. Clearly they did not think that one all the way thru. Other claims that hurt us was the smoke any where claims. Clearly we can't and this invites adding confusion in no smoking areas. What's ironic is that the whole world has gone mad regarding ecigs and lost all sense of logic! Cigarettes which are 4000 more times more dangerous, and do not have child proof safty caps and and be picked up off the ground often already lit by children is not seen as a threat, yet they have focused on ecigs in a evil way! WTF is going on here!?
