My brother had the IGO-W I lent him rebuilt at the local vape bar. He called me, asking me why his mod and fire button were getting scorching hot everytime he took a vape. I told him to stop using it and asked what the resistance was. He said he didn't know. I then asked if they checked it with a meter after it was rebuilt. He said no, they didn't. WTF! ?! I told him to use my meter and let me know what it reads..... .06ohm. He is running a Sony VTC4, which is only safe down to .2ohm, any lower and you are in the red zone. I checked the build this morning and they did a dual 4 wrap parallel with 24g Kanthal. What kinda idiot would do that?? The whole point of a parallel build is that it gives you MORE surface area with less resistance. I went down to the shop with my brother and spoke with my friend, the owner, and told him to have a nice and informative discussion with his staff on safety.

I bought one and one came with the ohm meter. I now have about 5 and I never remember why I wanted them when they arrive lol. I'll tape one to my mod so I don't forget and order more.

All this was only $30 from lightening vapes! Their customer service was amazing, I somehow got it shipped to an address with no mailbox anymore, emailed the vendor, within 30 minutes they had tracked it and confirmed (I assume) that it was returned to sender, then sent me a new shipment "expedited" to make up for the time and had the new tracking number to me. I realized and emailed them Monday morning, had it arrive with signature confirmation Wednesday afternoon, so right at 48 hours from me realizing it was returned to sender to me having my supplies in hand.

Ok, thanks for some back ground info. I have to relate this to buying a new car.... The dealer hands you the keys and says it has a full tank of gas.... When you run out, and haven't read the manual to know what octane it needs, or how to check the oil... etc. Bottom line, you need to know what ohms law is. Also what your batteries can handle (not all are the same), as well as have a reasonable quality charger for them. The ohms reader is so you can put your atty on it and check to see your build status safely.

Tony, I think this is a good time for you to explain your vapeing background. We would like to help you with any problems you're haveing, but I have to say, for now you need to put that mech mod and rda down and DON'T touch it till we can get a better idea of your knowledge in safety and skill set with these types of devices. It's not meant to be rude, just concern for your safety! Please take the time to let us know more. Thanks

The key to this level of vapeing is understanding that it's a bit like a puzzle. I'f you have all the pieces, your in good shape. If you're missing one or more it can lead to poor performance or worse.... Knowing the type and ohm your coil is, wicking material, battery specs, air hole size and location on the rda.... are for the most part what goes into dripping on a mech mod. Bottom line, it takes some commitment to do it right and well. Never plug and play!

I feel like I need to say this.... and keep in mind we want to hear any questions you have! If you can only refer to the equipment/batts you have as green... Sony or something, you need to slow down for a sec. It sounds like you are on a good path so far, but it only takes one wrong step in this path to lead to bad things. I only say this to make sure you will be safe!

Hence, safer alternative! I know what it's done for me, can't speek for others. The beauty of all this is that we have the ability to make our own choices. Good, or bad. No matter the vice, it's on us to do as we choose. But let's not kid ourselves that if we do things others in our lives don't like, we will here it! Nicotine is adictive, just like caffine. While nicotine may not be "more" harmful, it's no reason to start usening it just because you feel left out! As a former smoker, I aknowledge vapeing as a much safer alternative to analogs! You can choose to do as you wish, for whatever reasons they may be..... If you are comfortable whith what you do, then so be it. Just know that you may find oposite opinions as you go.

We all tried. I'm not going to let myself get so ticked off that it screws up my day or night over his issues. I'm not his parent, and none of us need that agrivation. Hopefully he takes something from all this and makes good choices. If not, nothing we say will change that.

It's respect for others in general. I support vapeing, it's done wonders for me. Human nature says we fear what we don't know. Sometimes by not forceing it on ppl we gain respect and curiosity. That's what helps us spread the word with the average person that just might want to switch.

Might you please answer my question to you on your vapeing experience kind sir? I don't give a rats *** how many degrees someone has, nor the income they make from the DAY job. I care what you can offer a first time customer that asks what an ecig is about! If you plan on trying to relate to them with a spread sheet or hireing someone that's "exprerienced" in vapeing to deal with it, you will fail! To that end, you will NOT come into OUR sand box and tell US what we need to do the HELP you! You will have to find someone else to prey on......................................... Bu Bye!
