Lol, okay before you all dogpile on me here, let me explain my provocative post

I have a friend who just thinks vaping is not macho enough. Believe me he's the nicest guy you'd wanna meet, honest, but he does view vaping as kind of nerdy and I kind of get his point. He just cant seem to get past this one aspect of it. He does see that there are health benefits but he can't picture himself with all the fancy gear. He's kind of a Marlboro Man, ya know? Which is fine, but he's kinda stuck on that image thing.

I know for me I went thru a little bit of this myself but my purpose for quitting outweighed the image thing so it didnt last too long.

Have you run in to others like this? Is there any gear a little less nerdy and techy?

Ya know a skull and crossbones vaporizer kinda thing or something to get him over this?

You're well on the way. Congratulations. Sorry about the grief your wife is giving you. Sounds like she can't see the big picture right now but she'll come around. Is she a smoker?

My wife and I have gone from about $60/week smoking to probably $15/week vaping. Sure, the initial costs were high figuring it all out but we're really beginning to see the savings now. And wwhat is that cost when compared with health? Priceless!

I don't know, maybe I just got a couple of bum coils with the VT. The new coils are doing just Fine without a bit of gurgling or leaking. And my mocha java is the toughest juice I have. It's hard on coils, lol.

Ok. I swapped the coil out on the VT to a 2.0 ohm. It's been since last night and no leaks whatsoever. So far so good.....

I recently got hooked on a juice from a local vendor that was essentially a cinnamon roll flavor. Big and powerful I vaped that sucker all week. Strangely, it started loosing flavor. I literally went went taste numb! I would switch flavors and nothing for like 2 days. Everything I had tasted flavorless. I took breaks, and drank a lot of water ( i forget that sometimes) seems back to normal now

I never liked orings before, but the 2 screws together with the center tube, and works well. Wish the rings were black instead of clear, hard to find in the sink!

Bebop got a reaction from tzymroz2013 in Anyone know a place to order Cartomiser & atomiser ohm reader?
You might be able to buy parts to make one at radio shack but you wont find one of those units with the various connections for different clearos and stuff if that is what your looking for. A regular ohm meter woyld work but one of those boxes with the 510 connections and others are pretty slick. I want one too. I might make one myself when im feeeling like a project

Patricia - its a device that you screw your clearomizer into or your RBA deck into and it measures the resistance of your coil. Builders use them to measure their coil resistance when they rebuild their atomizers. It would tell you if your atomizer is not working correctly or if the resistance changed but it wont tell you id your wick is burned. Its primary function is to measure the resistance across a coil

One of jazz's greatest keyboard players is gone. He was only 67. I have followed his career for more years than I can count. Seen him play many times. Met him at a show. I'm heartbroken. This is such a loss. He will be missed greatly.

For those of you who don't know him, he was a jazz fusion pioneer in the '70s playing with Billy Cobham and John Scofield. He played on many recordings notably with Frank Zappa and Miles Davis. He branched into pop music and produced music for many other well known artists. He was from San Francisco.

    Ah this just sucks.

How to I know when to change the wick, coils and atomizer?

The blister pack appears to be a knock off ego battery and a CE4 Clearomizer . You will have to change the whole Clearomizer which is the tank and the coil/wick assembly. You can't rebuild or swap these parts out. You will have to buy back up CE4s or buy a better Clearomizer.
I don't know what you're paying for that set up but for a little bit more you can get better more reliable performance.

How long can the liquids sit in the clearomizer without issues like spoiling or damaging anything?

It won't spoil as long as kept from extremes. I wouldn't leave them on a dashboard for three months. You'll likely vape it before it goes bad. Most juices when kept properly have a 6month -1yr shelf life

Basically if I wanted a few flavors on hand what is the shelf life inside of the clearomizer?

Keep them covered and protected from heat and should be fine for days to weeks

Kanger T3 bottom coil clearomizer - This doesn't have a wick? What is the difference or what is better?

The juice wicks thru holes in the bottom. There is debate on which performs better. On a top coil you may have to keep the wicks wet by tipping. On a bottom coil the wick is always submerged and prone to leaking

Atomizer resistance - 1.8 or 2.8 ohm - what does that even mean?

Stick with low (1.8 - 2.0) or standard (2.2 - 2.4) resistance with that battery for now.

Needle tip bottles - I see them in every kit. Is that just to put the liquid into the clearomizer easier?

    Helpful but not necessary

I don't go anywhere without my Bose earbuds. Frequency response is awesome. I use 'em on my phone, iPod, line6 pod, and Korg Pandora.

Still use my sennheisers in the studio settings. I actually haven't bought new headphones for a while...

You'll see a huge diff in 50/50. It'll be smoother though with less throat hit. I used to want that big throat hit but it's just not important to me now. I found 80/20 unsatisfying in the vapor deparrtment. 60/40 is a nice compromise

I'm using the smoketek bridgeless at 2.0 ohm and it's performing nicely. I'm getting a nice amount of vapor, and a natural pull on it. Really good flavor. I'm pretty happy with it

It doesnt really compare with my Octopus RDA which gives a ton of vapor and the purest of flavor so far that ive tried. Its a little more trouble to use (not that much) and you cant turn around flavors as fast as the the smoketek.

The richest most favorable juices I've tried so far:

Adam Bomb's "mama's cookies" - very sweet and tastes just like it sounds ; cookie with bakery flavors, hint of cinnamon, and even a raisin finish.

Lush Vapor "Bang Bang Orange Julius" - by far the best orange flavor I've had, sweet and creamy

The Vaping Monkey "monkey buns" - huge cinnamon roll with some unidentifiable spices. Sweet and lush.

All at 12mg and 50/50 - I find that more than 12mg really mutes flavor but that's fine with me because I've dropped down to mostly 12mg now with an occasional 18mg to handle cravings.

Couple of those I had to guess if they were 50/50 because they aren't labeled and I guess it's proprietary
