Try remixing all bottles and shake vigorously and then resplit. I bought mg and 4oz doubler and didn't shake well before mixing one and it had no flavor. Guessing sugars settle to bottom because sugar tends to be heavier. Now I shake till I see bubbles and have better consistency.

    Cheers!

I doubt I'm capable of 'earning my keep'... but I will tell you how I use them.

Do you treat these like an atty in that you "fire" it up momentarily before actually "hitting" it or will that put undo stress on it?
Personally, I don't bother with this... it just isn't necessary in my opinion. But I know others that do just the opposite.

What kind of draw do you put on these...2...3..6.seconds.
Since we are talkin' about the LR cartos here... I normally hit it for 4-5 seconds if I know it's good and full. Otherwise, the longer I use one... the shorter the hit gets for me!

How often do you top it off? It's pretty obvious when the top layer of filler becomes dry, but don't want to "overfill" either.
I'm one of those people that tops off my carto quite often! I normally will vape a good 10 times or so and be ready to set it down till next time. Before the next "session"... I top off with 6 drops or so, give or take, until I have that nice slurpy look on top.

As far as cleaning what do you recommend?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I typically use a carto for about a week... depending on the juice I'm vaping in it. After a few days the juice will begin to darken each time you add juice, etc... yet I don't find it tastes bad until it gets really dark and burnt. I just don't push one past that point... nor do I waste time cleaning them. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. The one thing I always have handy is a large paperclip with the end bent out on it so I can stick through the center hole of the carto and give it a good wiggle around. This really helps to clean the airway and prolong the use!

As cheap as these things are, and for the consistancy they give me, I have not found anything else to replace them as of yet. Hope this helps at least a little!

Welcome! Two to three drops for direct dripping will get you about five to seven hits. How many drips in a bottle? How many licks to the center of a tootsie pop? I dunno, maybe 200 drops in a 10ml bottle? Assuming 20/ml. Get two or three flavors to start, that's my recommendation. I mean, you don't just like one flavor of tootsie pop, do you?

Uma reacted to CASEACE79 in Can Taste Be Objective?
I happened on this question while reading a juice review and got upset that everyone was giving the original poster a hard time for their opinion. Is there an objectivity to taste? This idea nearly drove me crazy! I have come to the conclusion that taste is both subjective and objective.

If taste was completely subjective then why do juice reviews??? If our opinion carries no weight then why do it? To further compound the issue how would you rate or grade a juice if it was completely subjective? Something that is a 5 out of 10 to you might be a 2 out of 10 for someone else. The idea of pure subjectivity doesn't give any of those numbers substantial meaning or worth. How is anyone supposed to decide if a juice is for them if it is purely subjective?

Is taste purely objective? Of course not! We all know that. Otherwise we would all love the same thing. So taste has to be subjective then right?

Lets use food as an example since when describing taste that's what everyone has in common. Is it fair to say that the majority of us like pizza? Then wouldn't it be a safe bet to say that we could recommend pizza to anyone who hasn't tried it with a 99% certainty that they would enjoy it? Now lets take a burnt cheeseburger. When I say burnt I mean charcoal. I mean it could break a window. Could you tell someone with confidence that they will not like it with 99% certainty? With that said we now have a system where we can be objective about taste. You can say that yes that is true but there is such a wide range between the two. Yeah but the middle is much smaller. When we really like a juice its safe to say that the majority will like it? When we really dislike a juice it's safe to say that the majority will also hate it. That's why our grading system of juices works. It's the same reason we have cooking schools or restaurants that have month long reservation lists. If taste was completely subjective we wouldn't have the ry4's,Atomic Cinnacide's,Dulcis',and Bobas Bounty at the top of so many lists.

Science even proves that taste does have a level of objectivity. To understand what tastes good something must taste bad. Otherwise we have no point of reference which to base what good is. It is defined by what it is not.

Which leads me to Honey Beez debate. Yes I'm going there! Every once in awhile there comes a flavor people either love or hate. Same goes for food. Best example I can think of is sushi. Very rarely do you meet anyone that says it's just ok.

So why bring all this up? What was the point other than to make a point? To give value to our reviews and if we really like something that it is ok not to preface it with taste is completely subjective because it isn't. More importantly this message was to JUICE SUPPLIERS!!!!
I have seen a trend lately of quantity over quality and honestly I'm tired of buying juices that taste nothing like their name or description. We wouldn't except this in food and shouldn't have to in vaping.Think of it like running a restaurant and if you couldn't put it on a menu with a description that is true or couldn't put it on the menu because it doesn't meet your expectations then don't put it on the menu at all. Some suppliers understand this and have very few but very tasty juices. Vaportalk, Tasty Vapor, Alien Visions, and Vaperite should be applauded for understanding that putting out a quality product will bring people back time and time again.

So while taste can be subjective it is only subjective to a point. Without an understanding of objectivity in taste we wouldn't be able to rate juices or even be able to differentiate the difference between what tastes good or bad. Reviewers take pride in your preferences! They do mean something.I'll keep watching and trusting in what you do. Lastly to suppliers STOP making sub par juices that even you wouldn't vape. Take pride in the flavors you create. It's what defines who you are. Those who do will get my business over and over again!

Hi Proudad, Here's a couple of pics to help clarify everything.

The cartridge will come with atomizer when you buy it:

A drip tip is usually bought seperately:

If you have a cartridge follow mcquinns advice. if you have a drip tip, you'll notice in the pic that there is a small O-ring at the bottom. You might be able to find a thicker O-ring at a hardware store that would give you a tighter fit.

Welcome to VT and congrats on your new eGo!! That's a great pv.

The eGo's come in a variety of choices these days, ... which kit did you purchase? (carts, cartos, reg, XL, etc).

If it's the original kit, it came with cartridges. They are called carts for short. When you opened your box there was what appeared to be a fully assembled eGo ready to puff. It's not ready. You'll need to remove the mouthpiece (cart) and open one of the new prefilled carts that came with your pkg. (5-10 depending on kit). Put that in and now you can puff away until the flavor or vapor subsides. Top off with eLiquid at least once an hour probably, depending on how much you vape and how well the wick wicks. Hope this helps. If not, just disregard.

Just check the eGo-T discussion in the forums.... it is not just a copy, but the actual eGo-T with a different brand, but all manufactured by Ovale/ Joye.

They have a tendency to clog after app. 20-30ml. Current rescue advice: vodka bath once a week, take a VERY thin needle (like syringe thin) when it does stop working, and carefully stick it through the liquid tube into the fibers behind the heating, just to create more air passes again (since it is the fibers that clog.) German forums report great success with that method, though one person damaged the heating unit by using a regular sewing needle.

I have been using it for app a week now and like the ease of use. Will most likely stock up on atomizers once prices go down, hopefully in Feb - the only shop yet selling them is charging 25 euros, though with some guarantee. With these atomizers, I would not buy TAWA but go for a 30, 60 or 90-day guarantee.

Got mine this morning! Great vapor! Flavor comes through really well, even with liquids that seem weak on my LR cartomizers. Easy to use and no mess! Wish I had ordered more than one atomizer now. I switched flavors without rinsing the atomizer and it only took a few puffs to clear out the first flavor. I went from Kretek to Strawberry cheese cake! (No filler inside, just a little wicking material, I'm guessing) Everyone needs to try these! They will be perfect if the atomizers last a while! I'm guessing that since its a Joye product, they will last a while!

(Make sure you watch the video I posted above! It has some VERY helpful tips for using these!)

Welcome to Vapor Talk. Sorry, but I have to throw my 2cents worth in here and agree with BirdDog. If you don't smoke or have never been addicted to the evil nicotine, there is really no reason to start vaping.
This is just not a smart move. Those of us on here have all been smokers for many years and are doing this as an alternative to our habit of so long a time. This really isn't something just to play with.
Keep your lungs clean and enjoy other ways to get flavor like fruits or a good bottle of wine. The habit of smoking or vaping is not something we want to encourage to people that have never done so.
If you are serious about starting and are hell-bent on vaping then I will have to pass you on to someone else because I just can't suggest anything that will get you started.
I hope that you will seriously re-think this out and consider other means of enjoyment.
    Good luck on your decision.

Uma reacted to nana in Why You Need Backups. :)
I have backups for everything, so I guess the madness never ends. I like to be prepared. I have backups of food in case we get snowed in. And then I make sure to have backups of food that doesn't need power to be prepared in case we don't have power. Plus I keep a backup of propane for the grill so we can use that, too. I keep emergency supplies in the car in case we get caught in a snowstorm or the car breaks down on the highway. And yes, I did the same with analogs. If we were in any winter weather advisories, I made sure to have at least a carton on hand. And plenty of lighters. So many it wasn't as much stuff as I have now, but it wasn't as healthy as this and it sure wasn't this much fun either.

@Brian. Thanks for that link. I have it bookmarked. Cause, well, you know, I might need a backup.

I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and they cost about $4 per pack. I bought a lot of different devices when I first started vaping, so I spent at least as much on vaping as I did on smoking. Sometimes more. I know that by the 6 month mark of being smoke free, that I broke even. BUT....I also had my favorite devices and knew I wouldn't be buying any more (except replacements when needed) and I had several months worth of liquid, too. Now I can go through a couple of months and not spend anything at all. Incredible!!!

A couple of months ago I did have to get the eGo PT, and a lanyard for the eGo, and an eGo case, and a couple of XL eGo batts and XL carts, but I still didn't spend as much as I would have in a month of smoking. And really, I needed some backup batteries anyway. Right?

Somehow - and I have no idea how this might have happened - this week I ended up with a receipt for the purchase of ProVape 1 in my inbox. Oh well...I'll just have to keep it when it gets here I guess...I was getting low on backups anyway. After all, I haven't bought a new unit since I got my BSB last May. And thanks to the good people here who kept mentioning the Ali'i - until I had to go see what it was they were talking about - now I'll find myself in a scramble trying to get my hands on one of those. And one way or another, I WILL get my hands on one of those.

What was it Uma said? You'll never recover? Yeah, that could be right. Just when you think you're doing so good, stuff starts appearing in shopping carts and those pesky "order" buttons get pushed, and all of sudden you have new stuff coming in the mail. Then - I would imagine - you get so excited about getting packages in the mail that you just have to order some more...is that how it works?

Not always true about the viscosity ,they usually dilute it with distilled water or something to make usable. You kind of have to just find suppliers that you can trust and ask questions, the better suppliers will bend over backwards to make sure your order is as expected.Cause we will brag on the good guys and rat out the not so good ones.

I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day at $4.50 per pack, so $47.25 per week. I vape between 15-20ml per week, so about $16 tops. Really depends on how much you vape. If a light smoker begins to vape heavily, they're probably break even or spend a little more.

Having said that, I have not saved anything since I started vaping because I'm always buying something.

Got mine in this week and messed around with them yesterday. I ordered two. First impression is not that great, but I do see potential for this.

First, the wires are a little brittle and kept breaking. I broke 5 wires trying to make the first atty. I contacted Drew on ECF and he said he checked the wires and found some of the 3ohm wires were breaking and said he'd send me some more. Second, one had a nice draw, but the other was very tight. There are two little pin holes on the cone for air flow. I took the smallest drill bit I could find and opened up one of the holes a little and now it's to airy. Third - not good flavor (probably the biggest complaint). I used both of them most of the day yesterday and the flavor is odd. Not sure if it's the wire or the wick, but it over powers the eliquid flaover and I don't like it. I may try washing the wick before using the next one. Fourth, the dripping hole could have been a little bigger. However, the hole does appear to be bigger than any of the regular drip tips that I have, so I can't really complain about it.

Bottom line - yes, I'm a little disappointed. However, I do think there is a lot of potential. If I can get some decent flavor and master making the coil it will be a different story. Certainly not ready to call this a FAIL or to give up on it.

Edit: Meant to say "NOT" ready to call it a FAIL.

Like what she said "When posting helpful information on the forums members can click the small + or - button next to your post. If your information is helpful you'll be given a reputation point. Of course on the flip side if your information isn't so helpful you get a negative point " To realy appreciate this become a member of another site and see what I mean. I realy don't know much about this site but I realy like so far what I am reading. To much favoritism at other sites. If they don't like what you said it will get deleted but from older members everything go's. I know you have to earn your respect as time go's on but to also be treated equal is very important to. On other sites you don't feel like you are in the USA, it feels more like your in a Communist country. Where what you write won't show up on how you wrote it. GOD BLESS

Well it's coming to the end of another year. A time when we try to get together with relatives and loved ones. .
It's hard to believe that I've been on this forum for over a year now. I've made a lot of new friends, met a lot of new and interesting people.
Most of them great...and a few that were not so great, but those that were not have come and gone.
We have a very close kind of family feeling in the forum that isn't found in any of the others I've checked out. That's one of the reasons for me staying and I'm sure why a lot of others stay also. We don't bicker or fight like so many of the others do. We respect each other and each others opinions. We help out newbies and answer every question even if it's been asked a dozen times before. There's no name calling like I've noticed other places and we seem to genuinely like each other, even if we disagree.
Chris and the staff go out of their way to make this forum something we can enjoy and their efforts are greatly appreciated.
ECF may have more members, but they certainly don't have the caring and devotion that the staff and members of this forum displays.
I guess what I'm really trying to say in all this is Thank You. Thank you to Chris and each and every one of you for making this past year a fun and pleasant time.
And I hope this holiday finds you well and in great spirits.

So to each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas....Happy Holidays....and a Happy New Year.

    Thank you so much. Larry
