    If you are anything like me you will find that over time your collection of vaping stuff will seem to magically grow by leaps and bounds. Especially if you start to DIY your own juice. And your patience with sorting through jumbled mess in a shoe box will quickly wear thin. With this in mind I came up with a no frills design that anyone can make cheaply (under $10) and very quickly but will allow you to expand as needed.   Here Is what we are making. One for Juice bottles and One for Atomizers.       First step is deciding where you are going to place it. Whether in a cabinet, cubbie hole, a desk or table top then measure and write down height,width, and length. Now we drive to Home Depot for the 2 types of wood needed. I already had the materials at home left over from other projects so I just made both. You can do the same or just one or the other.   First the juice bottle one.   You need a 2"x2"x8 foot board (although they actually measure 1 1/2" wide not sure why?) Cost is around $2   Now you decide if you want Home Depot to cut your wood to size which they will they just won't guarantee precision cuts.   Based off of the measurements you took before, If your shelves are going to be less than 36" long then you need 3 of each size if more than 36" then you need 4 of each   2" 4" 6" 8" If more than 4 shelves high than go up on each piece by 2"   This will form your bases.   Next look for this cart somewhere in the lumber section.        Look at the 1 1/2" size pieces (poplar is the cheapest) and grab the amount for the number of shelves you plan to make in either the precut  sizes or have them cut down to the size needed by Home Depot.     For my 2 units I used (1) 2x2x8 and (4) 1/4x1 1/2x48  hobby boards. The bottle space was 34" long so I needed 3 bases up to 8" high and 4 shelf's 34" long. I used (3) of the remaining 14" hobby boards on the atomizer shelf and cut (2) 6" high bases leaving me with a 10" piece of 2x2x8.   Once back home find a flat place to work and grab any type of glue and start assembling the bases. Starting with the largest 2x2 piece lay it on it's side add glue to one side of next smaller size and stack it on top like so.   While glue is still wet adjust the pieces so cut edge and sides line up as even as possible. Continue on until all bases are glued. Allow glue to dry for a few minutes.   Place bases with cut edge down where you planned for with 3rd one in the middle or 3rd & 4th evenly spaced for longer shelf's. Then place hobby boards on other cut edge like so         For the atomizer one there is an extra step. Grab a pencil, ruler, and some atomizers. Lay them like so.   This will help you get a feel for how many will fit on your shelf and what spacing is needed between them. Then make 3/4 of an inch mark on both edges of shelf and using another shelf as straight edge draw a line down the center. Now transfer your spacing marks to that line.   Now grab a drill and a bit that is slightly larger than your 510 connector on the bottom of the Atomizer (I used 9/32) and drill at your marks you can either drill all the way through or stop right before test with an atomizer to make sure base lays flat against shelf.   Do the same for other shelves.   Once you are done with that I recommend you glue shelves to bases.   And were done! As I said at first no frills but very useful.   Now you get to decide what else you could use this shelf for or maybe sand and stain or paint them. After finding more attys (I swear they are reproducing by themselves) I added a couple of more shelves And here is one way that I decided to finish it.         As for me after looking at the first picture I really need to get my bottle labels under control and now I know exactly where to place them on the bottle for optimum viewing.   Thanks for reading.     It has been awhile since I last posted. So I thought I would share with you what I have been up to since then.
    There have been quite a few in that time so please bear with me. I will try and give descriptions when I can.
    Some you may have seen before but the majority I have never posted Here.
    First are some of the original mods I made. Some are in my personal collection and some I have sold.





     
    The next ones have all been sold off. They are a mix of Squonkers (Single and Dual Battery) Mechanicals, Unregulated, and Regulated.
    Plus Non Squonkers in (Single and Dual Battery) Mechanicals, Unregulated, and Regulated.




    Here is the latest batch of Mechanical Squonkers I just Sold off.

    Every Since I started Vaping and making mods I would keep reminding myself that there had to be a better way of handling my growing collection of Batteries. I tried lining them up in a cigar box all nice and neat only to knock them back into a jumbled mess the first time I reached for one. Or go to swap out the battery in a mod and forget which hand I had the charged one in ( I killed way to many brain cells when I was Younger ). So while planing this I knew I wanted it to incorporate my existing charger (works great) keep my batteries organized, and be able to test various sizes of batteries. Then I remembered "THE DRAWER" You know the one (I can't be the only one) It's where you throw all the AAA,AA,C,etc. rechargeable and non batteries that you have ever owned and have no idea which are good or bad. So I had to find a meter that would read down to 1.2 volts (AAA) (most will not show below 2.5 volts). And So this is what I came up with and was finally able to get organized and reigning in "THE DRAWER" was a nice added benefit.        And in case you;were curious what the 2 bolts next to the display were for It's for testiing 9 volt batteries.(My younger brother will no longer let me test them my preferred method which was to goad him into sticking the leads on his tongue ).    Thank you for viewing as always all questions,critiques, and or comments are much appreciated.

    Recently thanks to generous recipe posters I discovered how easy FlavourArt flavors are to work with. So placed an order for 33 FA flavor samples from eliquid mart then after trying them and finding more recipes I wanted to try. Placed and received a 2nd order of 35 bottles. For me It became a pain in the *** to try and find the individual flavor. Pick up read no!,Pick up read No!, etc, or worse take all out the box and play dominoes with them while on the table. I decided there had to be a better way and set out to make one. I don't know if you are anything like me but this is what my DIY shelf looked like before. And this is what it looks like now! I made It to accommodate the FA flavors I have now and allow for future growth. I was also able to put them in Alphabetical order and read the flavor name for easy location. (Added benefit Lorann's 1 dram bottles also fit) Over the past few years I had also accumulated quite a few wizard lab samples (which are even better at mimicking dominoes). And since I plan to continue to use them either individually or in combination with FA. I decided to make one for them. Here is how it looks like now when I mix a eliquid recipe. I have the wide mouth jars for my NIC,VG, PG, and Premixed Base. (easier to get the last little bit and no tipping). And here is a pic of the final results. Both racks are hinged (makes them more stable when opened) and have a latch to keep closed when put away. Thanks for reading. Hope you like.

    As promised. Here is a tutorial for building a VV wood mod. Using a OKR-T 6 amp switching regulator, Voltage display and dual 18650 batteries.     Easy OKR-T VV mod

    OkR-T Switching Regulator comes in 3,6, and 10 amp sizes. I ordered a 6 amp for this one and a 3 amp for another mod. Very happy with both. Batteries last a lot longer than linear regulators.

    Even though I am brand new here I wanted to get started on the right foot. So I made this hopefully easy to follow Tutorial to help out anyone who likes the look of wood mods but like me can't afford them right now. This was made in an apartment with hand tools, so you don't need a fancy workshop or special tools to make it. So If you think of a easier way to do something or want to substitute a part you already have that will work for You go right ahead. Also I tried to make this as comprehensive as possible , but if you have any questions or comments please feel free to Post.

    P.S. I will also be posting a followup Tutorial for a VV Dual 18650 wood mod next which will be referenced back to this tutorial for the basic box build and to highlight the differences. So please be sure to check out that one also.

    This one is a simple one battery mod but it works great and I find myself alternately using it all day and very light weight so easy to carry around when out and about.

    Here is what is getting built




















    Here is the part list of what is needed to build it you may already have these items if not I will tell you where I obtained them. If you are anything like me once you build your first mod you want to keep on modding everything. So I recommend that you get a few of these parts so that when mod fever comes over you. Everything you need is right there. Once again feel free to substitute for any parts that you
    may already have available.

    Madvapes -

    510 sealed battery connector - $1.49 Either silver or brass. They can be a pain to solder so Madvapes offers prewired ones for $2.99 its up to you.

    Horn Switch - $.89 they come in many colors and have been very sturdy for me with a nice clicky feel when pushed
    $2.99 New chrome switch picked up a couple so far like the way they look but no clicky when pushed

    LED - $.49 to $1.59 Come in 3mm or 5mm with many colors to choose from pick the one you like (they come with resistor needed added to package so no need to buy separately)

    If you don't already have batteries and a charger you might want to pick some up. The way this mod is built you can use 16340 or 18350 or any battery that will fit a 19mm x 38mm (Spring fully depressed) holder. You can pick IMR or protected your choice I recommend at least 2 (1 charging while other being used)

    If you have never been to this site look around some they have a lot of great stuff especially for DIY

    Battery spring plates .99 a pair I found these and like how sturdy & easy to work with these are. But you can use any type of connectors or holders you want. Just adjust the sizes accordingly.
    Another site worth looking around for other stuff he even carries kanthal, nichrome, and wick for when you get a Rebuildable atomizer.



    (3) 6 inch red wires and (3) 6 inch black wires - solid or stranded 20 to 22 gauge

    Small rare earth magnets - A few months ago I went on amazon and bought (50) 1/8 x 1/16 magnets but can't remember where I bought them at but I believe radio shack carries 1/4" ones which should work you need at least 4


    Home depot

    Hobby board red oak $1.49 for a 1 1/2" x 1/4" x 2 foot I love the grain on these. They also come in other widths and lengths if you decide to make more mods.






    3/4" wood screen $2.29 for 8 foot length. If you already have a piece of wood 3/4" wide use that. If not get this and cut it in half in the store for easier carrying.





    Tools needed
    Hopefully you have most of these already which will save you money. If not most can be picked up at Home depot




    Drill and various bits
    Soldering Iron
    Solder and flux or solder embedded with flux
    Hand Saw
    Mitre Box
    Some type of Clamp I picked up mine at Big Lots Years ago and can't remember how much. Home Depot sells them for aroung $10 bucks. or you can use tape or string or whatever clamp parts together until glue dries
    Some type of Wood Glue make sure its stain-able (Liquid Nails from Home depot has been working for me)
    Super Glue
    Hot glue gun
    Wire strippers
    Various grits of sandpaper
    Sanding block
    Small can of Wood Stain Pick the color you like best at Home depot near the paint section. I use MinWax brand with success
    Small can of fast drying polyurethane same as above
    (Both can be found at walmart also.)



    Alright now that is out of the way lets get to it shall we.

    First off using mitre box cut red oak hobby board you need

    (4) 2 1/2" pieces look at them find some interesting patterns and mark those for your front and back other 2 left and right
    (2) 2" pieces again mark them top and bottom
    (1) 1 3/4" piece marked as angle panel

    from screen wood you need
    (1) 2" piece
    (1) 3/4" piece

    Helpful Tips - Always use the same tool for all your measurements
    Measure,mark and cut. Do not mark all your cuts at the beginning and then try and cut them 1 after another some pieces will be longer than the others.
    Run sandpaper lightly over cut edges to remove excess before you measure.
    always cut on same place of the mark whether you go left/right or directly on the mark.

    If you have access to power tools like a table saw or sanders use them it will make this much easier.

    A variable voltage dual 18650's
    A 3.7 volt with a 16340
    A variable voltage dual 10440's
    My Stealth mod with a 10440
    My big box with variable voltage dual 18650's and a pass thru function
    Another 3.7 volt 16340
    And a Top Feeder with variable voltage and dual 18350's

    Not Pictured are A Puck variant, 2 1000mah ego's, and 2 1000mah twists.

    Lately I find myself reaching for the far left one the most running with a Smoktek R tank but who knows what the future might bring.

This is an overview of my juice and equipment shelves Here is the closeups I much prefer glass for holding my ready to vape or not as the case may be. Various bits and pieces that tend to accumulate. I keep my PG/VG in 2 each blue jars, My Nic in Amber jars, and Premixed in a Amber jar. These are 9 oz. short wide mouth glass jars Seem to work better for me easier to siphon out liquid and less chance of tipping over. Here are some of my flavors for DIY Can you tell I like Wizard Labs. Some more flavors including VZ super concentrated and lorann's plus other brands. Also syringes, pipettes, and plastic boxs for everything else. A couple of projects that I so far have not had time to do are make a stand for PV's. and a small wood cabinet to hold all vaping supplies. Hopefully soon. What do you folks think? Kinda OCD right.
