  1. MTL = More To Love? http://www.acronymfinder.com/MTL.html
  2. Tried the 1.5 ohm coils, that helped a little but not by much. Thought it was just the crap coil that usually comes with the tank so I changed it out to another from a fresh 5-pack that I'd gotten when I ordered the tank I'm not as dumb as I look lol. Even after switching them out a couple of times, it still wouldn't cooperate. The last time I coughed this much was when I took the first draw from a CE4 in the B&M. Even the 3" stainless steel drip tip didn't help with the heat on the subtank. Not sure what more I could try but I just couldn't make the subtank work for me. The link I put up above? It's got a list of the Triton tank, the RBA deck, a pretty stainless replacement tank/sleeve, and coils. All pre-order but Kidney Puncher's getting them out fast!
  3. I really wanted to like the subtank and tried to find a way to make it work, it just wasn't cooperating. The next step is probably to get the build deck for this thing... or not. We'll see how long the coils last before my juice takes it down for the count.
  4. Got mine from Kidney Puncher on pre-order and they shipped it out pretty quickly. http://www.kidneypuncher.com/search.php?search_query=Triton&x=0&y=0 If you're up for a long review, check out Pbusardo's video, that's what got my attention and got me to try it. Some people may not like it (and I have only had mine for a little while so far), but I'm still liking it very well. My subtank mini might need to find a new home... Thanks, Kev. It's not as detailed as some but it's from what I've experienced with the two tanks so far. At $22 for a box of 5 stock coils, it's not the least expensive but it's much cheaper to keep going than the HH.357s which cost around $20 bucks a piece and only lasts around two weeks (if I'm lucky) with my ADV. It's very sweet and dark, which are hell on coils.
  5. Aspire Triton from Kidney Puncher came in today with two boxes of 1.8 ohm coils. OMG. I'm in love...
  6. Here are just a few lines of opinion from my experience with the Kanger Subtank mini and the Aspire Triton. I've been trying new tanks in hopes that I can find something that will replace my beloved but too damned expensive HH.357s. Both tanks were used on an Eleaf iStick 50W. The juice was my ADV EC Blends Feels Like a Nut, 3 mg nic, 40 PG/60 VG, extra sweetener. From day one, I've only had about five minutes of joy from the Kanger subtank mini with a 1.5 ohm factory coil. No matter what I tried I couldn't get the airflow right, the vapor was still too hot for my preferences. The draw didn't agree with me when the flavor tasted right and I'd cough out a lung when the draw was right but the flavor wasn't there. There was also juice leaking from the air holes in the bottom no matter what I did. Went through several coils trying to see if I got a bad one or three... Tried all kinds of different configurations on the airflow and... I just didn't like it and couldn't get it to perform even after over a week of trying. Constantly. Got the Aspire Triton in today. Washed it out well, let it air dry through dinner. Put in the 1.8 ohm coil, set the airflow about half way, put juice in it -- I really like the top fill option (it's so handy!), let sit for a couple of minutes, set my iStick at 12.4 watts and... even with the stock humongous drip tip, the flavor I've been looking for that matched the HH.357 is there. The vapor is huge, and... it's what I've been searching for. I'm amazed it worked so well right out of the box with minimum fiddling. After the Subtank, I was expecting to have to dial it in and play with it before finding a setting I could live with but no, it's amazing! I have the upper airflow control wide open, the lower at half way. Even with my slim stainless steel 3" drip tip (I prefer cooler vapor), it still works great and doesn't make me cough. The vapor is smoooooth, not harsh. I think I've found a keeper. Granted, I've only been vaping on this for the past 15 minutes or so but color me impressed! Oh, and I've been chain vaping and haven't gotten a dry hit yet. This thing is a juice hog but I'm okay with that. For vapers like me who do mouth to lung, this is the perfect tank so far.
  7. Hey, we can help spend his money wisely even if he only has a small budget.
  8. After six months? I'd get another tank and battery. Then, I would do even more research into dripping and what that entails -- do you want to use a premade atomizer and drip the old fashioned way? Or do you want to get an ohm meter, learn all about Ohm's Law, electrical safety, buy organic cotton, wire, torch... ? If it's the latter, please be doing lots of research so you know what you're getting into and how to go about it safely.
  9. I bet that was from when Brian at Veteran Vaper was giving them away. lol
  10. Good for you! But don't forget to pick up an extra charger and AC adapter/wall wort. Those don't go out that often but when they do...
  11. The problem I came across with juice is that I fell in love with a particular flavor and wound up buying bigger bottles every time. Then, all of a sudden, it didn't seem to taste as good as it used to and my new favorite had to be found. This left me with many large partial bottles of juice that no longer appealed. After all this time I have three or four juices I rotate regularly, one of them I've been stuck on for 2 1/2 years. You'll find your way, Kev. In the mean time, keep stocked up.
  12. That's why we constantly go on about back ups. This includes juice. I'm down to about 50 ml of my favorite juice so it's time to order another 125 ml bottle. Even the 50 ml is lower than I usually get down to before reordering.
  13. Wow. This is such an old thread, but it brings back memories. When I first started vaping, the CE4s were the best things out there. Shortly after that the T2s came out with the short wicks (after a little while they offered short, medium and long wicks). If I remember correctly, I beat Bebop in cleaning out the Veteran Vaper's stash of short wick coils for the T2. lol Changed over to an Anyvape Davide mini (the 2.5 ml original version) for the Pyrex glass tank. The plastic tank on the T2 kept cracking due to my ADV at the time, which was the mojito flavor that was very high in citrus. Ah... the good ole days.
  14. Congrats on being 16 days smoke free! That's great. We're a pretty friendly bunch around here with lots of good folks willing to help those who want to get off the analogs. Ask questions, read lots of threads on the forum, and have fun!
  15. There are many coil winders out there now, but if you have pain, then only you can decide which one will work the best for you. What works for someone else may bring you lots of pain due to the need for manual dexterity in holding on to the winder while making the coil. I know because I have arthritis in my hands and fingers. That said, I think the Q-coiler might work for you? It's a little bigger than the pen style so it's easier to hold on to. It's the one I prefer rather than the Kuro winders. You may have to just try some to find out. Good luck to you!
  16. After trying lots of different vendors for watermelon flavor, my personal favorite is Fadora's watermelon. Comp got it right. It tastes like you're biting into a fresh, sweet watermelon (to me), no candy taste.
  17. I don't think I read what power setting you had the batteries set at? If it's too high, that will also produce a really harsh hit that will cause coughing. Start at one of the lowest settings, vape. If it's not doing it for him, turn it up a little. Vape. Repeat until he gets just a little bit of a burnt taste. Back it down a notch or two and that should be the sweet spot for him and the juice. Also, I would suggest that he pull the vapor into his mouth, let it sit for just a second before he inhales it. That's called the "mouth to lung" method. Usually, that helps too. Vaping dehydrates you so you both want to be drinking lots of water. Not coffee, tea, juice or soda but just plain water. It's also good to help wash the toxins from the cigarettes out of your body. Let us know how he's doing!
  18. You got RAIN??? Like... real water-type rain? Congratulations, Bebop.
  19. Juices that are sweet and/or dark are very hard on coils. My favorite ADV is a very sweet, dark juice. On a coil that's been known to last up to and over one year, my juice takes it down in about a week or so.
  20. For the first time in... I don't remember when, we're now totally out of drought. Where everything would usually be brown and dried, it's all lush and green. The weeds have literally exploded this year! I think I'm freaking out over it a little. We're not used to seeing everything so green...
  21. For your sake I hope you get dried out soon!
  22. Thanks, but I already have a couple of those... addictive and expensive hobbies, that is. Don't need anymore.
  23. Last Thursday I was out in 90+ heat, no shade, volunteering at our local Care & Share mobile distribution center for people who need food but don't have the money for it. We handed out over 300 lbs. of food in less then 90 minutes. My job was taking 5 lb. bags of potatoes from a pallet to the distribution table. Those 5 lbs. feel heavier than that in no time. After the potatoes were gone, then I climbed into the gaylord to hand out full-sized watermelons. Bend and lift, stretch and repeat. You'd think I would've lost a few pounds in water weight alone but no... It was a great day but I would've preferred to have done it in the shade.
  24. I don't game. With my addictive personality? No way I'm getting near any kind of games like these. I get little enough sleep as it is! lol
  25. Just went to google for a definition on what this was.
