  1. If you're not filling your tank, it's a good possibility that you burned your wick, which will give you the burning sensation when you take a draw. This is not a dripper type of tank, it's made so that it holds liquid. You need enough liquid to keep your wick wet. I would change out your heating coil, refill the tank and let it sit for a few minutes to let the liquid soak into your wick and then try vaping it again. Start with a low wattage, vape. If that doesn't give you satisfactory results, increase the wattage/power by just a bit and vape. Repeat until you get just a hint of a burning taste, back down your watts a bit and that should be the sweet spot for that coil and juice.
  2. What is the resistance of the coil you're using in your tank? If possible, what I would do is to get a higher resistance coil (above 1.0 ohm like a 1.5 ohm or 1.8 ohm coil), and that way you can lower your wattage/power to it. If you use a higher VG liquid, that will increase more vapor output. How you vape also can affect how much vapor you're getting. You can push the button for a second before you begin the inhale, then inhale (more of a puff really), two or three quick puffs to get the vapor going before you inhale the last one. Did that make sense?
  3. Sorry, without doing some serious testing I doubt there's any way anyone on a forum could tell you what's causing your symptoms. If you want to do a test yourself, you might get some of the juice you've always used and customize it to a higher VG level to match the juice that's giving you problems. If you get the same symptoms, I'd say it's the PG ratio. If not, then it's probably just the juice and you should buy from a different vendor. I would go with the juice you always use for a few days until the original symptoms go away then start your experiment. If the symptoms continue, I'd go see the doctor, it might not be the juice at all and could be that you're coming down with something else.
  4. Are you sure it was a mod and not just an unprotected battery? Most of these stories include people putting batteries into their pocket with change that shorts out the battery until it explodes.
  5. Moved to General E-liquid discussion. Hopefully, you'll get more replies here.
  6. http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/programs/hack/ecigarette-ban-has-advocates-fuming/8431564 Google "Australia vape ban" and you'll get all kinds of links.
  7. In my experience, Australia tends to open packages to check what's inside. They nearly had fits when I sent bottles of flavored vinegar and olive oil to a friend who lives there.
  8. Could be I just hide it well online.
  9. Read what I'd posted to you and it sounded funny. In September I'm going in to get a full knee replacement. To make it fun (and my weird sense of humor), I've decided to name my new knee "George". The rehab is for the physical rehab on the knee. LOL I'll definitely get in touch with you two when I get out there.
  10. Now we're even. I want an In N Out burger too... And to think I just got an alert that I could fly to LA for around $100 or so but I have to save my leave time for when I go get George in September. *pouts* After I get through rehab I'll have to make a point to get out your way.
  11. Out here in the boonies, we don't have either one. We do, however, have Bingo Burger, which is a place that uses all organic veggies, grass-fed, free range beef and sides. They also buy all they can locally... mmmmm. Now I want a Bingo burger.
  12. Is In N Out really that good? I've seen pictures and it looks absolutely decadent. And I'm not overweight, I consider it either under-tall or just fluffy.
  13. Congrats on the lower nic level, Chris. Go you!
  14. Is the button you're talking about that little black dot at the top?
  15. You know what else it might be? You said that you're still on cigarettes and are going back and forth. When I first started vaping, I used both for about five days before going strictly on the vape. The withdrawal symptoms I got from getting away from all the carcinogens in cigarettes did some pretty funky things to my body for about a month until they settled down.
  16. Yes, I make far fewer mistakes when I sleep now compared to when I smoked. All joking aside, when I smoked and was very, very tired, I was told I snored quite a bit. Now that I vape, it's pretty rare that I snore at all. My sleep is much more restful now too.
  17. Just when we thought we were seeing light at the end of the tunnel, someone decided to add on to the tunnel to make it a little longer. Well, that just means we have more work to do.
  18. Something else to ponder is... when you vape do you increase your water intake? Vaping dehydrates the body so we always recommend drinking more water (not soda/pop, coffee, tea, juice or anything other than plain water). Dehydration has strange side effects. This might be a contributing factor? I'm not a doctor but just wanted to add something to think about.
  19. Oh man... those were the days. I remember nearly standing on my head bent over backwards trying to get the unflavored PG/VG out of the atomizer/wick before adding the eliquid. Vaping that stuff just tasted nasty.
  20. Did you wash the tank thoroughly before filling with eliquid? There's usually some kind of machining oil residue that tastes very bad if not washed off properly before use. Add that to having the wattage up too high and burning up your wick like @Christopher said and you've got a bad combination. If you fried your wick, there's nothing for it but to dump the eliquid (the burnt taste will most likely be in the liquid), wash thoroughly, refill with new eliquid, replace with new coil and start again.
  21. Thanks for putting in the "other" category. For the most part I use 30/70 but do switch off to 50/50 or even 60/40 when stealth vaping. The little cartomizer for Vapor Talk's Ace of Spades cigalike won't take more VG than that.
  22. Nothing wimpy about that, Walt. I'm glad the member who was making you miserable is no longer there. Can you share the secret on how this was done? There's this person at work and...
  23. The first piece of advice I'd give anyone who is getting into coil building would be to make sure you have a working knowledge of Ohm's Law. The second would be to get yourself a dedicated ohm meter and not to trust what the mod tells you. Although mods have gotten much more accurate in recent years, they're still not as accurate as a good ohm meter can be. Ask lots of questions, our members have lots of good answers. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  24. It's a start. Thanks for the link!
  25. Nice play on words, @gadget
