  1. Is the button you're talking about that little black dot at the top?
  2. You know what else it might be? You said that you're still on cigarettes and are going back and forth. When I first started vaping, I used both for about five days before going strictly on the vape. The withdrawal symptoms I got from getting away from all the carcinogens in cigarettes did some pretty funky things to my body for about a month until they settled down.
  3. Yes, I make far fewer mistakes when I sleep now compared to when I smoked. All joking aside, when I smoked and was very, very tired, I was told I snored quite a bit. Now that I vape, it's pretty rare that I snore at all. My sleep is much more restful now too.
  4. Just when we thought we were seeing light at the end of the tunnel, someone decided to add on to the tunnel to make it a little longer. Well, that just means we have more work to do.
  5. Something else to ponder is... when you vape do you increase your water intake? Vaping dehydrates the body so we always recommend drinking more water (not soda/pop, coffee, tea, juice or anything other than plain water). Dehydration has strange side effects. This might be a contributing factor? I'm not a doctor but just wanted to add something to think about.
  6. Oh man... those were the days. I remember nearly standing on my head bent over backwards trying to get the unflavored PG/VG out of the atomizer/wick before adding the eliquid. Vaping that stuff just tasted nasty.
  7. Did you wash the tank thoroughly before filling with eliquid? There's usually some kind of machining oil residue that tastes very bad if not washed off properly before use. Add that to having the wattage up too high and burning up your wick like @Christopher said and you've got a bad combination. If you fried your wick, there's nothing for it but to dump the eliquid (the burnt taste will most likely be in the liquid), wash thoroughly, refill with new eliquid, replace with new coil and start again.
  8. Thanks for putting in the "other" category. For the most part I use 30/70 but do switch off to 50/50 or even 60/40 when stealth vaping. The little cartomizer for Vapor Talk's Ace of Spades cigalike won't take more VG than that.
  9. Nothing wimpy about that, Walt. I'm glad the member who was making you miserable is no longer there. Can you share the secret on how this was done? There's this person at work and...
  10. The first piece of advice I'd give anyone who is getting into coil building would be to make sure you have a working knowledge of Ohm's Law. The second would be to get yourself a dedicated ohm meter and not to trust what the mod tells you. Although mods have gotten much more accurate in recent years, they're still not as accurate as a good ohm meter can be. Ask lots of questions, our members have lots of good answers. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  11. It's a start. Thanks for the link!
  12. Good for you that you're going back to vaping instead of staying with the cigarettes.
  13. Yep. Like @Squid said, I'd get new batteries too. Anytime I have any trouble at all with a battery, it's just safer to start with new.

But you can't say that it hasn't been fun! :D

May need to try that trick sometime. See? Old dog, new tricks. We CAN be taught!
  16. Who are you calling "old"? Hmmm? Nice to see you again.
  17. Can you take a picture and post it here so we have a better idea of what you're working with? From what you said in your original post I wouldn't be out of line to say you don't know what kind of tank you're using? This could be problematic when you go to buy coils (the heating element) to replace the bad one in your tank. Taking a pic and showing us what you have could help in so many ways.
  18. Every time I see one of these articles I keep hanging on to the hope that this time... Thanks for the article link!
  19. Also depends on how much power you're using on both coils.
  20. You might want to invest in another of what you have so you can have one charging while using the other. You could also get a whole different mod, there are many out there that aren't very expensive -- and you can use the tank you already have.
  21. Nice to hear from you, Bebop! And good luck with your project and move. You sound like you have so many irons in the fire that 24 hour days just don't cut it anymore. Still, it's nice hearing from you.
