  1. Hopefully, you found a Triton V2 and not the first version. I wound up giving the first one to @Earthling789 because I couldn't get it to work right. The second version fixed the problem so well that I stocked up on them for when they were no longer available (I might've gotten a little carried away as I now have 15 but have four going in rotation).
  2. When KPT 2 and 3 were popular, they came out with a variable airflow bottom that you could buy to help out. Basically, it turned the KPT into an Aerotank.
  3. If you're looking for a tank that takes 1.5 ohm coils or higher, if you can find them, the Kanger Pro Tank 3 or 4, the Aerotank V2, or my personal favorite is the Aspire Triton V2 take those coils.
  4. You're welcome.
  5. That's my motto: Get a back up. Then, get a back up of your back up. After that, get a back up of your back up, back up. You can never have too many. Ever. At one point I went through four back ups for various reasons before getting one that worked at the time. Boy, was I ever glad that I had them to go to. I know it doesn't help you now, but as soon as you can, get some back ups, they don't have to be fancy, even pen style batteries are good in a pinch.
  6. Good luck!
  7. Based on the information you've given so far... how long has it been since you changed your coil? It doesn't sound like it's the mod so much as your heating element. Try putting in a new coil, wait for it to saturate with eliquid (at least a few minutes), then lower the power on your mod if it's in watts, and vape. After a few draws, if it's not what you want, turn it up a few and vape again. Repeat until you get the flavor and vapor you desire keeping in mind that you're using a new coil and it needs a little time to fully break in. With any new coil, I try not to blast it with the same power the old coil was at just in case the resistance isn't the same.
  8. Does your mod read the resistance of your heating coil? If it's not, then it sound like the coil from the tank isn't making a good connection -- to continue with the diagnosis that @Walt was starting.
  9. Glad you like it, @Walt. Of all the mechs I own, I think this one's my favorite.
  10. Tam has never gotten into mixing juice from scratch, although I have lots of experience in mixing premixed juices to make it more tasty for me. This is the premise (and the common sense) that I'm coming from. @Walt is sweet, but he gives me more credit than I deserve. Between blueberry extra - which I take to mean that the flavor has been enhanced to bring about a stronger blueberry flavor - and the candy, any blueberry candy I've ever tasted has been more of an artificial flavor that has quite a bit of citric acid added. That's why I suggested eliminating the candy first. Keep in mind that any cream flavors like the malted milk, vanilla ice cream and the pancake batter will need some time to make the creaminess come through. In my experience with cream based flavors, if I left it alone in a cool, dark place, usually a week or more would bring about a more rich, smooth flavor profile.
  11. Interesting. My guess would be to decrease the blueberry candy (seems it would be more acidic than the other blueberry to me), and take that amount and increase the malted milk and the vanilla ice cream to smooth it out more. What do you think?
  12. This is just a guess on my part, but I would think that nicotine would not be something they're looking for in that drug test. Even if it were, you can vape a 0 nicotine eliquid.
  13. Hope you like it as much as I do/did. It's just a really good manual mod.
  14. Nice review, @Walt. How do you like the placement of the fire button?
  15. My favorite is the Magneto I bought from @Compenstine when he had his store, the button action is so smooth and it's a great workhorse. The next favorite after that is the K100 that I won at the first vape meet I ever attended, it's a clone of the ever so hard to get Empire Mod. That thing is solid and indestructible. The VT store had several K100 mods on sale for like $5 a piece. If they still have some, I'd recommend it.
  16. There's nothing wrong with a mechanical mod, I have several. Just be sure to only use quality batteries, build and check coils for proper resistance, and always lock the button before putting away or into a pocket so it doesn't fire on its own and you'll be fine. Welcome to the dark side. Oh, and use battery cases to carry spares. Yep. You'll be just fine.
  17. Ankle still hurts, doesn't seem to be making much headway there. I'll talk with the doc next week about it when I go in for another follow up. Just finished PT and I've got a 120 degree bend on the knee! That was the goal when I started. They said they'd be thrilled with 115 but would prefer 120. Not too shabby for the fourth visit.
  18. How's the back doing today, @Walt? Hope it's painfree or close to by today.
  19. Take short breaks and have them spirit you away to some dark corner for "band meetings" to talk about the set list or something. Yeah, I can relate all too well. Thankfully, I'm a Navy brat so everyone I went to school with are scattered to the four winds. I've gone out of my way not to have a FB presence/account but some do manage to track me down every now and then. It makes me scratch my head why someone who didn't get along with me suddenly after thirty odd years feels like we're the best of friends now. Ugh indeed.
  20. Welcome to Vapor Talk.
  21. Get some rest, I hope your back feels all better by morning!
  22. Since @Walt and I managed to thoroughly hijack a thread (we did a much better job than what we usually see), I decided to start this one so that we could switch topics at a whim -- or not. Walt, I believe we were talking about The Chain? I'm thinking Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. Up to the challenge?
  23. I'm going to start a thread in the lounge so I don't feel so guilty taking over this one. Come on over!
  24. Cocaine. Do Cocaine! Sorry, just had a flashback to when I used to sing with a band. We had a groupie who would sit front and center at every gig shouting for us to play Cocaine. All night long. How about Wasted by Def Leppard? You, as a bass player should appreciate the riffs on that one. @Squid sorry for high jacking your thread, guy!
  25. Thanks, but the surgery went pretty smooth and my first PT appointment, they said I was already at the point where they release the patient. If I could just get the ankle to stop screaming I'd be ready to go dancing. Hope your back doesn't give you fits for too long.
