Oh, man... I did that a while back...  I thought I had another bottle of my ADV, but the spare was empty... That took me back to the days when I'd think I had a pack of smokes in my backpack or truck, and then realize the one I just finished WAS the spare from my backpack

If you've never been a smoker, I won't knock you for having juice with Nicotine, but I have to ask, "Why?".
If you are sensitive to Nicotine, as suggested, buy the same flavor in 0-nic and mix the two  1:1... that will give you 3 mg Nicotine.  I would suggest that you don't go any higher than that, AND if you're going to sub-ohm, you may think about mixing even more 0-nic, say 3:1 to get to 1 mg nicotine... or just use the zero??  Nicotine is absorbed MUCH faster by the body when it is hotter, which is why when sub-ohming, most of us use 0-6mg Nic levels, even though we'd vape 12-24 mg in a non-sub-ohm tank.

I thought that would intrigue alert readers.  Yes, I've died.  That is if you are inclined to believe everything the Social Security Admin tells you.  It began this way.  The second Wednesday of May, was the day my Social Security retirement benefit was supposed to be deposited in my Bank of America account.  Nothing happened, and initially I thought nothing about it as there are 12 hours difference between time here and Eastern Standard Time, so I just figured it was off by some hours.  Then as time went by and still no deposit, I checked my B of A accounts and OMG everything was empty.  Checking, savings, CDs credit cards, all gone!  Sheesh!  So I called (of course) and was told that the SSA had informed them that I had indeed died.  I of course informed them that the weren't talking to Casper, and they asked a bunch of personal questions that I answered correctly and thus my accounts were magically restored.  Resurrection!  And it took Jesus 3 days, yet I did it only a few hours and 7 ringgit in phone calls.  He must have had to meet with a committee.   (This experience has given me a lifetime of one liners)
Then the bubble burst.  I died again and now after many weeks and many many phone calls to SSA, B of A, the United States embassys in Kuala Lumpur, and Manila where SSA Southeast Asia is located, and everyone else who would listen, my bank accounts are re restored, credit cards working, but so far no retirement payment.  Still waiting on the SSA who like most government agencies move at the speed of snail.
Now to the original subject.   I thought you would like to know that my vaping habits, supplies and equipment didn't change one bit during my death.  It must be comforting to know that vaping is infinite, everlasting.  To quote Mark Twain, "I was dead a long time before I was born, and it didn't inconvenience me at all."
I'll leave you with a few thoughts.
This gives new meaning to the little kid curse of "Drop dead twice!"
I can now be a proper gwailo.  Gwailo is a Chinese word meaning "ghost man"  which I am frequently called here in Malaysia.
A warning to all.  Your social security number is tied to almost everything you do in life in reference to employment, banking, education, licensing, retirement and who knows what.  I'm about to find out if it affects my passport as I try to go on holiday in Thailand next month.  If your social security number is declared dead, you might not even know unless someone, as in my case, an as yet unknown third party notifies your bank, or employer or some other interested party.
    Cheers!   the late Jon

To my knowledge, it would only apply to juice, as they want to make juice listed as a "tobacco product"... but give them time and they'll "try" to tax the hardware, too.

When cigarette taxes decline they have to replace them with something else, and vaping is a growing industry which makes us victims of the state crime family.

Like you said a Black Market will come of it. Is what it is I guess. I don't get the Government at all. First they tax the crap out of Regular Smokes. Then they make Tobacco company's put warnings on how bad smokes are and they can kill you. Then they launch campaigns quit smoking & let us help you stop smoking etc.. Then some outside sources do the same and follow suit. So do some large drug companies. Now that we stopped smoking like they preached in the first place, now they are like oh **** where is our large tax dollar revenue stream, we are losing all of our money from smokers who made the change to vaping. lol
Government, politicians, elected officials are supposed to listen to what the people want, not make up there own minds on what they want. I can promise nobody that vapes said hey lets tax this, and nobody that smokes said hey lets tax vaping, maybe a couple board fools, but other then that there is a louder noise from us saying do not tax this, do not classify this the same as smoking tobacco. Do they listen to the people? NOPE. They listen to big business, the drug company that is losing billions on people quitting by not using there drugs, big business like the tobacco company that wants to level the playing field, hey vaping should cost what smoking does they yell. Government is big business itself. The wasteful spending, the wars nobody wanted, the big taxes on the little guys. If you think about it for to long it makes your head spin. It even hurts worse when it is realized we cant do anything about it. It was the same with online poker, the government destroyed it, while other governments regulated it in a fair way.

Why do you think Juice company's and us that use vapor do not want these laws with taxes to pass? Some states don't even want flavors they just want tobacco& Menthol. Some of these laws and taxes will kill the small sized juice business

Jon I am sorry to hear of your passing you will be missed around here.

I can't imagine what you are going through and the amount of red tape required to prove that you are alive.  I have heard stories about it, but never experienced it first hand.
I had a friend years ago that purposely and somehow legally gave up his social security number.  He had sued the IRS after an audit and won.  He proved in court that he had been overpaying for 30+ years in his business and that he was targeted because of his extremist beliefs (extreme right wing, anti-govenment, and a dooms day prepper type)  A few years later he was amazed at how hard life could be without a social security number, even though (supposedly) it can only legally be used by the government, for social security purposes (at least that was the law back then.  He even had a copy of the original law that states it is illegal for any non-government entity to ask for it*, tucked in his wallet) he was extremely successful in his business, and by most standards wealthy.  He was killed in a Crop Dusting accident, and his wife had a very hard time collecting his assets, insurance, etc due to the lack of SS number...
*it is not illegal to ask, it was legal for you to refuse to provide it

I mostly go with 24-18 but will vape anything from 24-0. I like 4-0 when I use my mech. I don't have any desire to lower or stop vaping so it is not something think about much. I like hearing others drop and the ones that just stop vaping. It is their goal and when someone meets that goal, it is worthy of respect.

I have recently switched from 24 to 18.  I really had not planned on doing it.  I also notice that I am vaping less now than before.  I, like Earthling, think I will have to keep some high nicotine stuff around to get through the rough patches!

Same here... started on 18 (and a few 24's)... About 8-months later, my favorite juice was only available in 12mg, so I tried it and didn't die, go into a withdrawal-coma, or even notice...  After that, I decided to try things in 3mg (and even cut them lower for RDA use), and happily vape 3-6mg daily now.  I can also go nearly a full day without touching a vape, but I think I crave the flavor more than the Nicotine!!  However, on a stressful day at work (or home), a few hits of 18mg do take the edge off

Good for you! I, too, came to the same conclusion last year. When I first started vaping I was on 24 mg nic. Then, nearly a year later I went down to mostly 12 mg. Then, on a whim I tried a few 6 mg and found it good. Less than a month later I had 3 mg juice and it's pretty much been my staple with only an occasional higher mg nic juice for when I can't vape when I want and need to get just a few quick hits. My next big step will be to go to 0 and see where that leads.

Ok, I decided to put my money where my mouth is.  I've been saying that nicotine isn't necessarily the bad guy in tobacco products as the government and 'experts' would have you believe.  I've been vaping 18 mg nicotine since I started seriously over 2 years ago and that's primarily because that's the strongest readily and easily available online here in Malaysia.  I've had the occasional 12 mg product just to try the flavour but it's never been a regular in my arsenal.  I've only tried higher doses when I went to the only B & M I've ever seen in Asia.  That was in Viet Nam and while trying their sample flavours I took some hits on 24 mg and 36 mg and got quite the buzz.  It was momentarily awesome!  Kinda like the first time I inhaled a toke on a cigarette.  But...... I decided it wasn't good policy to continue as being unconscious in a Ho Chi Minh city back ally didn't seem prudent.  Ok, to get to the story....

I've resisted going to lower nicotine content because I don't see any problem vaping nicotine, just like I don't see any problem drinking caffeine in coffee.  But it came to the time to resupply and my Sig. Other declared,  "The flavours you like are only available in 12 mg right now, so do you want me to order?"  I wrung my hands, hemmed and hawed, and as I watched his hand hover over the enter button, finally said, "Ok!  Pull that trigger".

The juice arrived and with fear and trepidation I opened some bottles and began vaping................

Awesome! No difference that I can tell.  No cravings for higher dose.  No more or less vaping than usual.  Basically it was a no big deal at all kinda thing.

I now think I could rather easily vape down to zero nicotine as long as I could still get throat hit, flavour and vapour production and not see much if any effect.  This is really good to know in case some regulation tries to limit us.

Yet another piece of evidence into what does or doesn't have such a strong hold on smokers.

I was toking on my i stick and about to set it down to reach for the deodorant bottle and the cat chose that very moment to give me a tail hug.  I tripped on the cat, sent the deodorant and i stick and the cat and myself flying. Something hit with shattering crash and I thought never mind broken bones was it the PV?  After picking up the pieces, the only casualty was the deodorant bottle which lost a corner and contents.  Hard to believe because that deodorant bottle has glass as thick as a submarine port hole so as to cheat us on the contents I'm sure.  Before cleaning up I checked and yup! The i stick and tank were totally fine and so was the cat and myself.  Following the advice of so many here, I also had backups for that deodorant bottle  Happy that the outcome was good for you too Earthling.
