If you are determined to use the oil based liquid, the only suggestion I have is to use an atomizer and direct drip. You might also want to try using the LR versions or a high voltage device. The LR will burn hotter than a standard atomizer and a higher voltage device will make the standard atomizer burn hotter. I don't think it is the coil getting clogged, I think it is the filler in the cartomizer becoming saturated in oil and doing the clogging.

Also, using either of the suggestions above, could alter the flavor of your liquid and you might have to add more of the oil. This could prove to put you back at square one.

That is one heck of a good idea. Better to make something with them then allow the bottles to float around the ocean as trash.

If you are using the cartridges, the filler should hang about 1/8" (maybe a bit less) from the end. It needs to make contact with the bridge, mesh looking triangle, in the atomizer. The bridge draws the liquid from the filler to the coil. The filler is going to burn a little, there is really no way to avoid it.

I would suggest removing the filler from the mouth piece and using the direct drip method. Add 2-3 drops right on the atomizer and you should get about 7-10 drags before needing to re-drip. You will experience better vapor and flavor.

I don't have the MAP tank. Are you buying the actual MAP Tank or another product? As far as I know, the MAP tank comes in two versions. The original that uses a cut down CE2 cartomizer and the DCT MAP Tank that uses the punched dual coil cartomizers. These two videos my help you in your quest.

The liquid inside a new atomizer is called the "primer". It keeps the coil moist while in transport and storage. I do not suggest cleaning the atomizer with water or any other substances before or during use. You can roll up a paper towel or kleenex, insert it into the atomizer and blow gently through the battery connector end. This will clear out the excess primer fluid. You can also use this method between flavor changes. There is also the dry burn, hit the button on the battery (short burst) a few times to burn off the primer. Be really careful if you do this, you can burn out the coil and break your atomizer.

I have experienced the cartomizers to gum up faster or get that tight draw a lot sooner when using a liquid with a higher content of VG.

All three will affect throat hit. PG, nicotine and the menthol. The two that affect throat hit the most is the nicotine and the menthol. When you start vaping there is an adjustment period. Flavor will be dull, from years of smoking, but will get better with time. Some people notice better flavor within weeks or some may not notice for several months.

You can try lowering the nic level and maybe try a few different flavors other than menthol. You can also order liquids with a PG/VG mix. You just have to experiment until you find the perfect vape for you. Good luck.

Like the tobacco flavors you will not get that same menthol flavor from e-cigs. What is missing is all the burning of a traditional cigarette. Every menthol will taste different from every supplier. It will be a much cleaner smoke compared to a analog. The best I can describe the flavor of menthol is chewing gum without the burning of paper and all the nasty stuff that comes with it.

You should be experimenting with other flavors. You will find that other flavors are really good and more satisfying than trying to replicate the cigarette taste. One of the most popular trends is to add that menthol flavor with fruit flavors.

I was not a menthol smoker. But the best flavor I have tried for menthol was the Vapor Talk Mentha. Nice minty flavor with a kick.

First off mods are custom made so it will be pretty hard to price shop the same mod with different suppliers. What you can do is pick what features you might like to have and look at different types of mods that offer those features. It will help us, help you, pick the right mod or at least point you in the right direction.

What kind of features would you like? Higher voltage? Bottom button/switch? Variable Volt option that will allow you to experiment with different levels of vaping? Then there are the juice feeder mods. There are tons of options available.

I am not a menthol user, so I really can't help you there. I have tested a few different menthol flavors and my favorite is the Vapor Talk Mentha. Menthol flavors will give you a pretty good throat hit. If that is something you would like to avoid, I suggest picking up a couple different flavors to try out.
