  1. Another unknowing noob that doesn't realize he is doing things in a very real and dangerous way both to himself and the movement to keep vaping a positive thing, allowed , and legal. It goes boom and it's all over national news. There is an epidemic lately of noobs wanting to jump right into advanced Mods. This is exactly why most vets recommend against it.

  2. I have a couple of Nimbus clones that do really well. It all depends. My auth rdas have a better quality to them but honestly, I seem to use my clone rdas more. It may just be that I have a different coil setup in each of them. My Patriot is what I use for "Cloud Chasing" and my clones are mostly flavor built coils. My advice, don't get too hung up on clone vs not clone when it comes to rda's and rba's. It's "usually" all in how you build your coils

    Pretty new to vaping...

Hi, I've been lurking a while, vaping since Nov. 1st, analog free since end of Jan. You all are a great help! We dont have many options to choose from in backwoods Mt or so I thought till I started reading these posts. 36 yr pack + a day smoker and I can't stand to be around analogs now. Thanks to everyone! 4. I just got an order today with nine flavors from Mt Baker Vapor. All the juice was made on 3/8 so it's only steeped two days. The Vanilla Butternut smelled so good I couldn't wait. It's absolutely delicious right now! I'm so glad I ordered a 30ml bottle, 18mg nicotine, 50/50 with two flavor shots. I don't know if it'll be around long enough to steep for two weeks but will try to save some. They also sent me a large sample of Grape. Can't believe how fast it shipped.

  5. So, we got burnt out on Mr. Cookie.... So our guy at the local B&M hooked us up with some Bettie White (uncle Junk's) and some swamp thang (ruthless). Hubby isn't too fond of Bettie White but I LOVE IT. Doesn't come as a surprise, I love pomegranate and apples equally. I'm not too fond of swamp thang, but he loves it. It's okay for me, but Bettie White has made it's way into my lineup of Vaznilla, Mr. Cookie, and Dragon's Tears.

  6. Thanks Comp! That's the 'econo' version which comes with two different size rods, apparently the deluxe version comes with a total of 5 for some more variety of coil sizes.

  8. I started using RBAs after vaping about 3 weeks or so. But, before I started I watched a whole bunch of how to videos and built quite a few of my own coils and tested them, tore them down then built them again. before I even put one on a mod. I definitely understand wanting to move to the RBAs, they give a great vape and flavor, but it's not worth hurting yourself. I would highly recommend getting an ohm meter before u start to make and use your own builds. I know I myself, and I'm sure everyone here, doesn't want to see someone injured or worse. You can find a meter for under $20, IMHO, it's a small price to pay for safety.

  10. I rather build my own coils. I have had genuine kanger coils for the original protank where the leads coming off the coil were soldered on thinner pieces of wire than the coil. And most "factory" coils look sloppy IMO. Building your own coils is better to me because you can get as much flavor and vapor depending how you build your coil and wick it. I got 25' of 30ga round kanthal wire and 5' of 3mm silica wick for $7.09 shipped to my door. That barely buys 5 coils but builds 20+.

  11. My best advice to you would be, try learning how to rebuild the coil in a kanger protank coil head. Thats where I started. That way, you dont have to go all out into mechs and rdas/rbas. As long as you keep your builds at or above 1.2ohms you'll be fine when using ego style batteries or a regulated vv/vw device.

  13. Since my wife and I built our house in 2011, we've never smoked in it. Either we went out on the back porch or in the garage. But, now that I'm vaping, she'll let me do it in the house as long as I'm only using my MVP or ego style devices. I got to blow 1 cloud in the house using my mech mod and dripper setup. After that, she said "no clouds in the house!". So, I take my chasing equipment out to the garage.

  14. Our samples are on the bar, all are zero nic, when you add nic the flavors can change dramatically. We have a Strawnana that tastes great till the nic is added....

  15. Out of a dozen b & ms ive been to none of them let you use your own gear. Always ask what nic level their tasters are. Ive run in to 0mg and 6mg. If you are vaping over 6mg I can guarantee you the juice you buy will not taste like the tasters. The tasters are sometimes "burnt". Ask for a new one and learn what "burnt" tastes like. It's hit or miss but after a while you will be able to tell if you're going to like a juice in your rig. The juice in the taster has to be OMG OUSTANDING if it has any chance at all, lol. If it's "meh" you'll prob hate it at home.

  16. I wouldn't build coils and use them without an ohm meter. That kind of stuff ends up on the six o'clock news after your battery vents while your vaping on it. Scared for life dude. I'm not being cruel just don't want to see you hurt.

  19. I vape inside and around the kids. I used to not blow huge clouds around them, but now I r 0 mg. Yay. So I mix my own juice all vg and flavor. No nic or color so there's nothing to hurt them. They karate chop my clouds. Lol. And my wife hasn't vaped in 5 days but she still doesn't mind as long as she can see me in the fogged out living room.

  20. Actually, the equipment should be just fine - an eGo 900 mah is around where other people start out as well, although I myself am not fond of the CE tanks, or top coils in general, although you MIGHT upgrade to an eGo twist with variable voltage, but the suggestion on dropping the resistance on your coil head is a good one, at 3.7 volts, you won't be pushing much power through a 2.4 ohm coil. The biggest factors in throat hit are nicotine level and PG%. How much did you smoke per day, and why did you start out at such a low nic level in your juice? The higher your nic level, the harder the throat hit, usually, but it depends on what you can tolerate. Higher PG% will also increase your throat hit.

  21. I could not agree more. Everyone can use whatever parenting style they want, but what is best for me is not a "sheltering" approach. I remember when I went to college there were kids from a specific christian school that had tough rules, the toughest I have ever heard. They even had to follow school rules when on break and not on school grounds or face punishment at school. They have a tradition at the University of Tennessee called their "Freshman Breakfast" where they shotgun a 12 pack of beer the first morning they wake up "free" as they put it. My son has grown up around smoking, drinking, partying in the cove every weekend. He has seen or heard about everything at this point and in the 3rd grade he has yet to make anything but an A, has never gotten in trouble at all. Its all about education. That is what is lacking, and education trumps sheltering in my mind 100% of the time.

  22. I wouldn't say my wife allows me because I never asked her permission. It's my house as well, but that being said she has never said that she prefers me to vape outdoors. Kids, no kids, or guests or pets I vape as I wish.

  23. I'm at a point where I don't trust the FDA to be honest. They have already shown them selves to incite fear over facts. Most of this is driven by lost tax revenues, big tobacco, and pharmaceutical companies that have more to loose by the facts of vaping than we do. If it were up these people we would all be back smoking analogs so they could continue to gain from fear and prejudice. I think they should make Tobacco the controlled substance and leave vaping alone. *Gets off soapbox

    What A Difference

I have been a pack a day smoker for 15+ years. I have tried almost everything there is to try and quit smoking(Short of prescription drugs). Nothing I have tried has even come close to working, until now. On June 15th My wife and I were talking about Ecigs as one of my co-workers had switched to quit smoking. I called around to just about everywhere I could think of to find a quality Ecig to start with. I ended up at my local Cigar Shop picking up a Cig2o starter kit. Almost instantly I knew that this was going to be the way for me to finally quit. Over the next 2 weeks I slowly switched from cigarettes to my new ecig by only smoking a couple a day. After the first week I found that the Cig2o kit just wasn't cutting it so I got a much better kit with a longer battery life. This brings me to today. I am just a few hours away from from being 1 week free of smoking and just in this time I can say DAMN, what a difference. I can breath, I am finding out what things taste like again. My steady congestion is all but gone and I can actually smell the little things again(For better or worse, Im looking at you woman.) My family and friend have commented that I do not smell like an ashtray anymore. On top of all of this and probably the most important, I can actually play with my kids and not get winded in 30 seconds. I just plane feel better and i'm happy to think that I will be around longer to see my kids succeed in life. I have also noticed a few things improve that I have just laid down and accepted was apart of my life. I no longer lose feeling in my hands when I am on the computer working or just driving down the road. I notice that when I sneeze or cough I do not get the burning tingling in my left arm. Needless to say, all a big plus. The biggest one was yet to come. Since the age of 20 I have had pretty severe Psoriasis. By this I mean around 40% of my body. This has been a major struggle in my life but I had accepted that this would likely never change. Now this little device is changing everything. Over the last 3 weeks we have seen steady improvement all over. I would say that my psoriasis has receded to half of what it was at its worst. With all of this I can say that this has been a life changer for me and my family. I have even been able to turn a few people to trying and ecig and a couple have stuck with it. I even gave my original starter kit to a friend that as far as I know has stuck with it for the last few days. I know that most people will not read this and that is fine. if anyone comes across this post that is thinking about switching or is trying to get someone they know to switch, then it was worth it to type this out.
