hicksvilleshick got a reaction from Sarah_1988 in looking to replace my vape? Advice?
X2 on the smok kit with baby beast. I'm looking to pick that setup up here soon. The tfv8 is a great tank too, but like all my other flavor chasing cloud making tanks, coils just don't seem to last. I had high hopes for the tfv8,but alas I'm burning thru coils every other day it seems. I have 2 triforce tanks and the tfv8 blows them away for both flavor and production but the coils have the same short lifespan. I had a tfv4 and traded it off because of short coil life. I can't speak to the coil life on the baby beast, I can't see myself using it much as it's too small for my chain vaping self.

I've tried changing juices up, still short coil life. I maitre mine with the puff counters, which kinda sucks cause one tank trends to ride the same mod all the time. Lol
But I've accepted this as vape life. My tanks drink juice, but flavor is what I'm after.

So I had the good fortune of acquiring these 3 flavors, so I figured I'd pass on my thoughts.
I used my rx 2/3 with a 2 post centurion (likely clone) RDA with some fancy wrapped flat coils (can't remember the specs) made of Stainless steel.

Adam's apple was the favorite, but not by much, it just barely edged King of churn. The flavor was fantastic, good mix of apple and watermelon, by smell you would figure to get a strong flavor of green apple, but that doesn't come thru flavor wise, it's nice and balanced.
King of churn came in 2nd (think butterscotch). Flavor was fantastic, well balanced, it was just all around yummy. The only reason Adams apple edged this one was the aftertaste. It wasn't offputting, but it was odd. It had the perfect level of sweetness for butterscotch.
Crown Jewels came in 3rd, I started this one, had to put it down for a few days, and come back to it. The flavor profile states it's sweet and tart. Now in all fairness I had tried another juice (local source) that had the same flavor profile, and had the same effects, so it could just be my tongue. I just couldn't get with the flavor, it struck me as either dishsoap, or potpourri. I did warm to it by the end of the bottle, but it was an acquired taste. I'm not saying it was a bad flavor, but just not my thing.

At the end of the day, I suggest trying them! They were well packaged, labels could be read, and the dripper was flawlessly functional. The mix is good at 35pg/65vg, which put plenty of flavor on the palate, and no shortage of vapor production. The nic level was slightly higher than what I vape daily, so I got quite the nic buzz on it, but thats not a bad thing really for me. lol And the price compared to others is a deal!

The rx200 will match up to just about everything on the market. It'll run the low watt small tanks, and the higher watt sub ohm tanks with ease.

I've also found that the rda doesn't like my juice mix. I run 20pg/80vg for my tanks but found flavor and production to be lacking when running that mix in the dripper. But it loves the 35/65 mix of the vapor tall black label juice, so I picked up some 40/60 today and it loves that too.
Not much temp control about this one more an rda thing, but something no one ever told me. Lol

Picked up a 30mm rda. Pretty sure it's a clone but it works and doesn't leak.

So it's been awhile I thought I'd drop some info I've acquired over the last few months...
Still love my cuboid, but recently started running into a 510 problem... I don't want to tear it apart and all the quick fixes online said put a business card under your tank to act as a spacer, I found a better solution, and made a video about it.

About the time I was having that issue, I decided to pull the trigger on a new setup... I ponied up and went thru vapenw.com (thanks to the guys up here that clued me into that site!) and got the rx 2/3 and tfv8.

You'll remember my old threads about the tfv4 and coils not lasting long, so I hope this is better. Gotta say so far I'm impressed. I'm still running the pre-installed coil (I want to say it's the octuple but could be wrong, my mind is a bit scattered as it's been a really bad week and a half) and have no complaints, it's knocking on 1k puffs and still going strong. I'm not in it for the clouds but for flavor and so far it slays it on both fronts. I love my triforce's and this is every bit as good. (so far) Now if they would just make a 30mm version I'd ****** that up. lol

rx 2/3, well I'm in love. My cuboid is quite jealous. I love that you can put your own logo on the screen. Solid upgrade to the rx200.

Anyhow hope all is well with ya'all! In the last week and a half here I've had my plumbing go tango uniform, and replaced it all myself, (I don't recommend, playing in poo pipe is not fun) my house ac fan motor crap out, my window unit ac for my bedroom puke water all over the new carpet, the hot water tank blow up, the honduh break down, then to top it off the honduh was stolen last night. (bye bye 1k worth of work I had just done to it)
Anyhow if nothing else if there is anyone considering the rx200s or rx 2/3 go for it. If you liked the rx200, you'll love the 200s and 2/3

Having had my hands on a cuboid for all of today now, it's much smaller, as powerful, same options (plus a couple if you like the smart setup) and functions well. I can't really judge battery life quite yet, as I just put a fully charged set in, so we'll see how that goes. Right now the fuchai and snow wolf are parked cause the cuboid is the new toy so I hope to have a better grasp on how well it does with batteries.

x2. .5 and .2 coils will need more wattage to function properly, as I've learned. Thats not to say that a 30w won't run a .5 because our kanger subvod's can run .5 coils.
What is key is that more/adjustable wattage gives you more flavor, and vapor production. Depending on your juice source, you'll find yourself hunting flavor in different ranges. The kanger subvods tap out at (iirc) 45w with a .5 coil. Same juice in a different tank with more wattage provided better flavor on a .5 coil.
Right now I'm running a few setups. I have a .2 kanthal in one triforce at 60-65w. A .14 ni200 coil in another triforce at 65w, and a .33 kanthal coil in my RBA running at 55w. All juices from the same source, 20pg 80vg 3nic.
Point being, experiences may vary.  lol but for that tank I would suggest a regulated mod vs a battery type device. A good cheap one I could suggest would be a cuboid, you can get them for less than 40 bux. (but would be wise to get at least 4 batteries and a decent charger)

According to what I see in the specs, yes it'll work, but the 40w cap in my opinion would be pretty low. The downsides of one of those for me is the internal battery, so if the battery goes, the mod is bricked, unless you can find a way to replace the battery, and I'm not sure if they have countermeasures for that. I tend to prefer external batteries, that way if a battery goes south, I can just replace them. That being said, it is advised that if you get a 2 battery mod, you marry the batteries, always use the same 2 at a time, charge them together, use them together, not actually take them to the courthouse... lol
All that being said, I know that brand to be well spoken of, but I personally haven't laid hands on any. The pricepoint is pretty good compared to going the route of the cuboid which would be around (mod 40+2 batteries 13+ 2 bay charger 20) ~70bux.

You know it's time for a coil change when you notice a drastic change in flavor, less vapor, and a burnt cotton taste.
Many things will effect this, I'm killing coils every 3 days here lately, and I'm down to 2 reasons. Bum coils, or my juice source. I'm getting ready to re-order some coils and get juice from mt baker vs my local source and see if there is a difference...

Don't forget to prime your coils when you're putting your tank together! There's no shortage of youtube vids on how to prime the coils, and it is key! (otherwise you'll burn the coil up)

It's also wise to do a few pulls on the tank without hitting the fire button and to let the tank sit a few min once you've got juice in it. You want the juice to wick as well as you can get it to.

Sub-ohm is nothing to fear. I started in December and have had nothing but sub-ohm devices.
I started out with the subvod kit, and a kbox mini, which is similar to what you've got and what your looking at. I had the desire for more as well.
Now let me correct myself. Between the subvod and kbox, I bought a fuchai and a triforce tank, that rig showed me what vaping could be, so when I got the kbox mini, I was fairly disappointed. Harder draw, less flavor, where as with the bigger setup and more power, I got far more flavor, could breathe thru the tank more or less which equates to more vapor.
But the kbox has adjustability over the subvod so that was a plus. I could squeeze slightly more flavor out of the kbox because I could run higher wattage.
That being said, it all depends on what you are looking for. After the upgrade you seem to be going with here, if you still want more, don't be scared to go bigger wattage or sub ohm. I'm a flavor chaser, clouds are cool, but I want excellent flavor more than anything.
When the day comes for the next upgrade, I can suggest the joytech cubiod mod, it's easy to use, 2 18650 batteries for plenty of power, and will run anyway you want to, be it temp control, power, or their simplistic smart mode. It will run just about any tank on the market.
As for tanks, I'm in love with the triforce, but there are the herakles (less airflow vs triforce) tfv4 (I fought coil life, 3 days was poor) but there are no shortage of options.

Traded for a herakles got one of the stainless steel 316 coils and ran it in temp control and it worked fine in the ss316 mode.
Low on triforce coils I threw a nickel coil in the big triforce, and in nickel mode is working well. This is the only time I've ever had a ni200 coil work in the stock nickel mode. Even on the rx200 I have to jack the tcr way up to get it to work right.
Gotta say the cuboid was a solid buy. Battery life is acceptable, since I've had it a few days now and I'm not just constantly chooching.

Having both the rx200 and the fuchai, the fuchai really isn't much smaller, it's just different shape, (if that makes sense)
If you are looking for something smaller that uses 2 batteries and still kicks wattage, I'm looking at picking up a couple of cuboids. They are far cheaper (35~45 bux) and smaller, and as I understand it with firmware upgrade they'll do 200w too.

I'm definitely on the rx200 bandwagon. I love it because of the battery life, and the wide range of options of things you can do with it doesn't hurt even tho I'm not big on the temp control stuff (yet continue to get it to work with premade coils and usually regret it) and it fits the hand sooooooo well.
I have a fuchai too and it fits almost as well as the rx200, but with only 2 batteries, I found myself pacing to keep from dying at work. The TC on it brings the fail tho. Way too cold.
I have a snow wolf, and it's my house queen right now, I'm not terribly impressed with it. It is a nice functional box, does TC (better than the fuchai) and the fuchai seems to edge it out on battery life.

I'm currently looking into getting a couple of cuboids. They are smaller, seem to be well constructed, and I'm a fan of bigger screens. Plus cheap and all the wattage you could want 150. (But I've seen it said that with a firmware upgrade it'll do 200w.)

It wouldn't hurt. The updates have made the menus easier to navigate, and easier shortcuts so to speak. Plus if you are into temp control, they updated some of the settings for the different wires. That being said, if you like it fine, it ain't broke. lol

You can try the upgrade and roll it back to see which you prefer.
