While temperature does have an effect on how the body absorbs anything, temperature of the vapor will have an effect, but less on the absorption rate, more on the delivery (volume). All things being equal, more vapor equates to more nicotine potentially aerosolized.

The coil vaporizes the pg/vg/water to create a vapor-carrier to deliver nicotine in microscopic droplets (think, near-molecular-level). What determines absorption, once you inhale, is not the temperature, but rather the surface-area (mouth/throat/lungs) contacted by the vapor. A mouth-puff (not inhaled) will not deliver the same volume as a straight-draw-lung-hit. The longer you "hold" the hit also will increase the potential for full-absorbtion. Also, a "cold" hit which produces very little vapor will deliver less nicotine to the body than a "visible" vapor will.

From the study I listed above, they were dealing with a tiny transdermal patch, delivering across 2.5 sq-in of skin. Vaporizing the nicotine produces a large dispersal of nicotine throughout the volume vapor, thus providing more potential for a larger surface-area to absorb it. Once nicotine is contained in the vapor, the body readily absorbs it. Heat has far less effect in this case, because you have increased the surface-area exponentially, and the membranes of your mouth/throat/lungs more readily absorb the nicotine for blood-delivery than does the tougher barrier of exterior skin!

This is why vaping is so effective at nicotine delivery. The mechanism is similar to smoking...

Excellent suggestion for trying another flavor...

I know when I lose flavor on my "favorite" flavor, it is 99% of the time alleviated by vaping a couple of days on something different. I even bought a good sour-apple and sour-grape which are excellent pallet cleaners when I vape too hard much on my chocolate or sweet cigar!

Oh, and drink another glass of water

Thanks Comp... I'll check out the Flavor Apprentice for a good starting point on my way to DIY! I knew to stay away from Loranne's, at least the colored ones because of food colorings... Perhaps someday I'll make a flavor even you'll be proud of.... LMAO!

The center pin on the battery may have been pushed down, or the center pin of the coils may be too tight (pushed up).

The easy way to find out is to grab the center pin on the coil with a pair of tweezers (or similar) and gently pull the center pin down a VERY tiny bit... fractions of a nanometer... Then put it back on the battery and try again.

The AeroTank, AT Mega, AT mini, PT3, PT3 Mini, Evod2, and T3'D all use the same coil... dual-coil...

These coils are the updated version of the dual-coil, with a solid-sleeve which contains the coil and wick. There are apparently two holes on each side for e-juice to enter the chamber where the coil/wick are housed.

Higher pg percentages will give a harsh throat hit, and grailhunter is correct in that the EVOD will be far more effective at producing a vapor than your BLU's did.... totally different Voltage, Wattage, and coil (both in resistance and design).

I'm guessing you're using a 80/20 pg/vg ratio, or possibly even higher... Nicotine (or Menthol) may be a factor as well, although it sounds more like your issue is pg. Now that you have a "better" system... I'd try juices in the 70/30 range, and the EVOD coils wick 50/50 juices fairly well as long as you give it a few seconds between hits, lol. I think you'll be more pleased with the throat-hit if you use a juice with a lower pg%.

Love my Scotch... single-malt is best, IMO.

You gotta find what you like best, whether it be $20/bottle of $120/bottle Personally I do love Macallan 18-yr old!

Scotch, like Bourbon (or any whiskey) stops aging once it comes out of the barrel... so if it says 12 yrs old and was bottled in 2000, it's still just 12-yr old Scotch

Bowmore Legend is a pretty good "cheaper" single-malt... a good mossy overtoned Islay, IMO for <$30. McClelland's Highland or Islay are very good, yet different tastes. The Islay is a more earthy tone with hints of peat/moss and oak, but I find the finish a tad bit bitter (Bowmore is better in the finish). Now, the Highlands is more sweet/fruity/flowery, but IMO has a better finish... smoother, sweeter, no "sting", and much better for sipping! Both of the McClelland's are in the $20-25 range, and sometimes cheaper in the big discount-stores.

Granted, the ones I listed are no comparison to Glenfiddich or Macallan, but they are far better than blended labels of twice their price... and definitely better than Chivas or Johnny Walker (which tastes horribly bland compared to even a mediocre single-malt Scotch Whiskey)!

Of course, if you're looking to save cash over imported Scotch, and want a really good US whiskey... you can't go wrong with Kentucky Bourbon! -- No, Jack Daniels is NOT a Bourbon, despite the fact they wanna be, lol -- I'm from KY, and have tried them all, and you can't go wrong with (my personal favorite) Wild Turkey 101 (much better than 80 proof)... And the other good ones IMO are Jim Beam (black label is best), Buffalo Trace (Reserve bottles are top-notch), and Maker's Mark (my least favorite... tastes too watery and sweet).

I bought some "peanut-butter cup" flavor from the local shop, and it was nasty, but tried mixing dark chocolate, peanut-butter, and caramel flavors together in a 1:1:1 ratio and LOVE IT... it's my favorite "evening" flavor!

I also like chocolate, vanilla, and black-cherry mixed together... makes a really nice cordial-cherry flavor.

I've never been a fan of fruity or minty flavors, so I can't offer any suggestions there...

    Scrap 3/4" Pine board (cut 7" x 5"), and a $0.49 Pine "dice" from the local craft-shop.

I trimmed the edge with a router, then drilled space for seven (five in front of the cube, one on either side of it) 510-base tanks, using an 8mm (or 5/16") drill bit. Centered between the five 510-tank slots are four 9/16" holes for eGo threaded tanks (my KPT3 minis and EVODs) in the front row. Things looked a little "off" in the front, so I added holes for two drip-tips, one on either side. The cube has four 9/16 holes drilled for 14mm eGo batteries. Light Oak stain and two coats of semi-gloss polyurethane... Took an hour, start to finish (not counting drying time, which it's still a bit tacky 12 hours later).

I have a medical background... and I can tell you... YES... hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And, it is a good idea, now that you're off the analogs, to increase your vitamin intake... a good daily multi-vitamin, and it does not hurt to have extra C and B-complex too. These will help to stave off the food cravings which usually set in a few weeks after quitting smoking. You'll also want to increase your vitamin D intake... get out in the sunshine! 20-minuntes a day of sun gives your body more vitamin D than drinking a whole gallon of milk...

In general, though... leg/foot cramps are a sign of Potassium deficiency. Eat a banana and have that extra couple glasses of water every day, and you'll see those cramps diminish or go completely away! Potassium in a pill form will work, but nothing beats the natural vitamin from a banana... both in quantity and the body's ability to absorb it!

Earthling789 got a reaction from Mtdobies in I think I have the sickness......
I caught the sickness on day 3 after I started vaping... I bought my eGo-T starter kit, and on day 3, I bought a second battery and two EVOD tanks... within the first two weeks, I had four batteries a dozen Ce4 tanks, two EVODs and one each KPT2 mini and KPT3 mini! (not to mention all the juice I bought to try-out different flavors)

I'm in my third month of analog free bliss... and have an MVP 2.0, more than a dozen Kanger tanks, ~75 in-use or unused coils, six eGo batteries, stands (which I built) to hold my stuff, a small tackle-box full of "parts" and supplies (and spent-coils)... and nearly 300ml of juice ready to vape!

I think I'm done buying for a while... I'm determined to make a VTR my next purchase, but with a bathroom in need of remodeling (water leaks suck), I need to direct my spare dollars into that for the next two months... At least I have enough vaping supplies (juice and coils) to hold me over that long
