    eCigarette Pipe – New

@ChristopherFor what it's worth... the link for the pipe kit in "my auctions" is a different link than the one in my email, and says "closed" next to it.  The link has _trashed/ at the end of the URL.  Does that mean the auction closed early or was removed, yet continued to completion in the background with my high bid?

Let me double check Walter didn't win that bid. (We have an extra kit anyway)

This is what I'm going to do, I'll create a custom order for you and you can pay from within your my account page. Give me one second while I whip that up for you and combine the shipping.

    Chris,

    FYI

    Just so you know...

I have 4 orders that were placed since 03/12 that I have received the shipping email on without a tracking number.

I went to your tracking system and entered the numbers and there is no tracking number on any of them.

I'm not concerned but just thought you might like to know.

sent from a galaxy far far away

I just checked and you're right. Let me look into this further and see what the (*&(*&^ is wrong with the system  Who writes this code!

I received my order yesterday and i was hoping for a little personal note. I was excited as I pulled the items from the bag. They were wrapped up in purple tissue. It was like Christmas. I brimmed with excitement as I pulled the invoice out. I just knew that Chris wrote something witty for me. But alas, it was just an invoice. I felt so used and unappreciated. Tears drop on my keyboard as I type this.

ah shucks now I feel bad. I actually think Debbie might have packed your order. Danielle and Debbie are still training and don't yet know who the VIP best of the bests are. Which of course, you are :)

Come down here and I'll make it up to you, extra special...in person ;)

@Christopher I've won an auction, but when I check my cart or auction progress, there's no way to pay you for it (nothing in my cart).  I tried the link provided in the "you won" email notice, but it also says my cart is empty.  When I click the icon for that auction item in "my auctions", it gives me the dreaded 404 error.

Another unrelated issue... which could be nothing... but I bid on an item, got outbid, but when I tried to go back in and bid again, there was no place to enter a bid amount, even though the auction hadn't ended yet.  This happened on Monday.

Hey Earthling, sorry about that. It sounds as if the item was purchased by someone else/outbid. Can you tell me what the item was? If it's showing under "my auctions" but doesn't show "pay now" it generally means someone else received the item. (But I'll need to know what item to be sure.

  5. I think it would depend on when your order was shipped out. Prior to about a week ago, tracking was sent through stamps.com which was the only way to check your order tracking. Now the tracking number is put right into our system using different software. So the tracking info will only show on orders placed over roughly the last 7 days +-

  6. Turn down your wattage and move up slowly. Another thing, minor but important. When you put in a new coil, wait for the wicking inside the coil to saturate a bit. When I put in a new coil I usually take two or three hits without pushing the power button (this pulls liquid into the reservoir). Otherwise you're going to take a hit on an empty coil and you'll get that burnt hit. once the coil finally does have liquid, it'll take a little while to get the burnt taste a way.

Again turn down the wattage on your device, more isn't always better, new coil, saturate, then move up your wattage slowly until you learn what that coil can handle.

  7. Generally speaking these days, with coils being so cheap (they used to be far more expensive than they are now) it's not worth using an off brand. That said though, some manufactures to make coils for your model tank. (Keep in mind though that will often void your warranty and isn't usually worth it) :)

To be honest, there have been a few hiccups with the Vapor Talk store on occasion, but every time that happened, I've gotten excellent customer service in return. The erroneous order was made right, an apology was given, and every effort was made to ensure that customer service was handled in a professional manner. I don't expect special treatment but I get it just the same, and you give that same level of service to all your customers. That's why I continue to shop at the VT store and recommend it to others.   :)

Thanks I really appreciate that. With the new warehouse everything should be much better but even I have to admit, there are just days when I look at a returned order (incorrect) and think "what was I doing" lol To err is human.

  9. Fantastic feedback thank you. Creating warranties that work for both us as a vendor and our customers is difficult. I feel we're on the right track. The honest truth is and I think a lot of vendors don't want to say this publicly is that you've got a few customers that game the system. Then when called out, go on a negative review rampage. (We've been lucky for the most part)

Whether it's a 20 dollar device or a 150 speciality mod, I want everyone to feel comfortable and secure in their purchase. I'll discuss the extended warranties with the board this evening and see how they feel about it. :)

Well, when I was dealing with the vape shop and bought the stinking nebox,I was told no returns whatsoever, there was a warranty from kangertech but it was up to me to do the leg work and I had *no* clue. So offering a warranty on hardware is pretty stinking awesome, I think an ejuice warranty is stretching it a bit..   but on batteries I don't know? And I think a no hassle warranty is well worth the fee if it is a choice made upon purchase, and not automatically added on.

Yes, it would be optionally. Though I think currently our 30 day is pretty decent as far as vape stores go. The VT store's new warranty is:

What does the Vapor Talk warranty not cover?

    • Does not cover eLiquidsatomizers, batteries (DOA only. Series number is verified upon return. Please do not attempt to return old batteries), coils (DOA only), or any other accessories on the device itself.
    • Failure or damage caused due to an unauthorized repair
    • Failure or damage as a result of excessive force such as dropping or abuse
    • Failure or damage as a result of usage outside of recommended operating. (See usage manual for operating instruction’s)
    • Damage or failure caused from improper use. This includes water damage, juice spillage, and fire damage. (See usage manual for operating instruction’s)
    • Loss or damage due to missing components
    • Stripped or damaged threads, crooked 510 connection (Atomizer not sitting flush)
    • Damage to the finish (cosmetic issues) of the product are also not covered by our warranty
    • Rattling or sticky buttons
    • When the product has been modified in anyway
    • Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product
    • Exceeding the warranty period

What is covered by our warranty?

    • LED Display goes out
    • Charging port stops working
    • Battery unit turns off while using your device
    • Unit auto fires
    • Chip malfunction/functions improperly

We also now have an easy to use warranty form: https://www.vaportalk.com/us/warranty/guest-warranty-request/

We've always been pretty good about warranties but the gist is, so long as you didn't run it over and it's honestly just being a POS, we'll replace it and go after the vendor for you. (For MOST products. There's a few exceptions on certain brands)

  11. Naturally we always try to push our own e liquids but admittedly, the Vapor Talk Store carries only a few brands of eliquids. If you shop for e liquids outside of Vapor Talk, I'd love to know what brands you purchase and in what size. (Premixed not DIY)

After replenishing our inventory I'll see if we can't starting working on this area. (Note that due to Mastercard Regulations there are a few brands we cannot carry. Specifically if it contains a cartoon character)

    @Christopher

Well I only like to shop here......except for juice supplies, and the occasional juice purchase elsewhere.I have been exclusively here for hardware except my griffin 25 plus.

And we love you for it :) (Though I never try to pressure anyone to shop Vapor Talk but you now...we're *cough* better)

Our eliquid lines are a bit weak... that's the next area I plan to expand, heavily. We're trying to rid of some the current inventory due to the stupid mastercard regulations. But I'm always open to carry new e liquids as well. Maybe I'll create an eliquid inventory request thread.

  13. Hey Folks!

So I'm always looking for new ideas to make shopping with Vapor Talk even better. Warranties can be costly for vendors, especially when China essentially laughs at the idea of replacing items. We're working with vendors to try and honor warranties which we can then pass along to our customers. I'd like to get your thoughts on a few things:

    1. What has your experience with warranties been with other vendors? Some of the positives, negatives, example setters

    2. What do you feel/expect out of a warranty as it relates to vaping? (For example do you feel no warranty in coils is fair? What about batteries and eliquids?)

    3. How do you feel about spending extra for a no hassle extended warranty? (Take Best Buy's warranty service for example which is border line no questions asked)

@Christopher I have made a decision...I'm going to go with the Pico 75 watt kit!! I have watched ALOT of reviews...it's more in my price point right now...it's looks like the coils are compatible.if I can phase out a tank I am currently using for two that run on the same coil it makes a heck of a lot of sense!!

Awesome! Well no matter who you choose to purchase from I hope it works out for you!

The wifey uses the pico and loves it :) (I like the iPower because I have large hands and it fits better for me personally) We just setup our new no hassle warranty system as well (it still needs some work and will change I'm sure as we receive feedback) Eventually we'll bump it up to 60 days (as we work with our vendors) but at least you know where to find us if something goes wrong ;)

Thanks! It's a great  way to clear up some space on older or perfectly good items. We have more, taking pictures and posting is a bit of a headache but I'll list other items later this week. :)  (Who knows, if it does well enough we could always open this up to members. Like an ebay for vapers. But I'll try not to get ahead of myself just yet.)

  16. Your item breaking is never fun. To make warranty requests easier for everyone we now have a new RMA system. Warranty information/periods can be found on each product page or on our warranty page here. To request a warranty on a product you purchased from Vapor Talk visit: My Account > Orders > Warranty/Return. Additionally you can use the Guest Warranty Page Here. :)

  17. I agree. Keep tracking of everything is ridiculous. There's just so many options these days.

It looks like I'm going to head out to China again in a month or two. We have plans to try and stop by SmokTech, if so I'll deliver the message ;) (Seriously, they actual love feedback direct from US consumers. It helps that Roger speaks Chinese so we can get whatever point across we're trying to make)
