  1. You'll just have to get another one so you can finish your review, lol.
  2. I love the Eleaf iPower 80W TC. It comes with a 5000 mAh internal battery so I only have to charge it once a week or so. We have them at our own Vapor Talk store: https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/eleaf-ipower-80w-tc-mod-white/
  3. Ohms measure the resistance of your heating element or what we call a "coil." There is a big difference between a 4 ohm (4.0 ohm) and a 0.4 ohm coil. Also, the 2 ohm is actually a 0.2 ohm coil. Which Eleaf iStick do you have? There are several: 20W, 30W, 40W, 50W, 60W, 80W, etc. Most will fire down to a 0.1 ohm coil but some will not. If you could tell us which iStick you have, we could help you better.
  4. Yes, I think we did lose @Compenstine again. Wonder where he wandered off to this time?
  5. https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/kanger-evod-twist-650mah-red/ https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/vision-spinner-2-battery-1600mah/# https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/ego-c-passthrough-battery-by-joyetech/# Those three links above go to the Vapor Talk store for the type of batteries you want. The first is the Kanger EVOD twist (variable voltage) in red. The second is the Vision Spinner, which is a better battery than an eGo, in my opinion. This is also a variable voltage battery and 1600 mAh, which means you don't have to charge it so often as something smaller like the next link. This eGo-C passthrough allows you to vape while it's charging. You will need to charge it more often as it is only 650 mAh. This battery is a fixed voltage so it stays at around 3.7V depending on its level of charge at the time. More and more often people are opting for the mods which has a bigger capacity (having to charge less often), more options (watts, volts, TC), and less fuss. Just because you have these options doesn't mean you have to use them, but it's nice to know they're there should you want to.
  6. Aw... that only thing that would make it even better is if he gifted you with a dedicated ohm meter as your first gift.
  7. When your mod says low resistance, that means the coil you have in your tank is too low for the mod to fire. When you use your coil, the resistance changes over time as gunk builds up on it so that's why you're getting that message. I would change that coil to see if that helps.
  8. Vaping, bringing people together since...
  9. If those things don't work to get the pin to move up, try a regular sewing needle. Those are very small and may fit between the pin and housing to give you a better chance at prying it up. Be very gentle when you do this because the needle is so small, you risk breaking it if you're too rough.
  10. I'm older than dirt, Adversarious, and probably one of the few rare females who isn't afraid to say so.
  11. Considering how many cigarettes I smoked before I found vaping, I'm kinda surprised I got this old, too.
  12. You're not alone, Walt. I'm an old fart too, and don't mind saying so!
  13. You don't mention the PG/VG levels of your eliquid. Too much PG could cause some of the spitting with that coil.
  14. Once vaping has been around for several decades, then we might see a study that tells us more about long term effects of vaping and your health. Until then, we'll continue to see so-called "studies" like the one referred to in this article. The article itself as no real information or hard numbers or how they came to their "conclusions." They also don't say anything about where the money came from to fund the research. Be very skeptical when you come across article like this, it may or may not have the facts -- might be they're reporting "alternate facts". LOL
  15. ... and a partridge in a pear tree... !
  16. I will take your rule and challenge your claim to be the worst at breaking it, kind sir! Consider your challenge accepted.
  17. The thread isn't worth reading if it doesn't get derailed once or fifteen time... oh, look! It's a squirrel! I live in the boonies where it's not a big deal to see rifles in the back windows of pick ups, open carry, CCW is pretty common too. Welcome to Colorado... where men are men and the cows are scared, lol.
  18. With the FDA's deeming regulations, we've seen a few good online stores closing down lately. Our own Vapor Talk store is a good source for juice and hardware. @Christopher keeps the prices down and give excellent customer service! I also order regularly from EC Blends for juices, at last count I believe they had over 4000 different flavors and you can customize your juice quite a bit.
  19. You should rejoin the good people on this forum. Congrats on your six year mark!
  20. Are you sure this came down from the FDA? It actually makes sense...
  21. Any flavor that you think you might enjoy will work for your set up. The level of PG and VG in your juice should really be no higher than 60 VG/40 PG, in my opinion, so that the juice is not too thick for your wick to soak up. Keep in mind that the darker, sweeter juices will gunk up a coil faster so you'll need to change it more often. Since you're trying to get off the analogs (cigarettes), at two weeks in, I would think that going down to 0 nic so soon will not keep you off the cigs. Most people need to start at a higher nic, vape that for several weeks (if not months), before lowering the level a little at a time. I started at 24 mg of nic when I picked up vaping with a set up much like what you're using (Spinner and T3S -- I still use my Spinners and Kanger Protank 3 mini for back ups). That got me off the cigs. Six months later I dropped down to 12 mg (18 mg wasn't available then). Vaped that for a year or longer before dropping down to 6 mg. If you drop to 0 too fast, chances are pretty good that it's going to be extremely hard to put down the last few cigs a day. This is just my experience.
  22. If your juice is 70 VG/30 PG, that means it's more VG than PG, which may gunk up your coil a bit faster than if it had more PG. Sweeter juices are notorious for gunking up coils faster than juices that aren't quite as sweet. This would mean you may need to change your coil for a new one. The W beside the number (what's the number say?), means you're in wattage mode. If your number next to the W is too low, that will also affect the amount of vapor you get providing your coil is still good. If the number is low, for example it says 3.7W or something like that, I would turn it up just a little, vape. If that's not what you want, turn it up a little more, then vape again. Keep doing this until you either get the performance you want or you get a slight burnt taste. If you get a burnt taste, turn it down a little and that should be the sweet spot for that juice, that tank, and that coil. Do not turn it up too much, keep it at just a little at a time. If you go way too high too fast, you run the risk of burning the wick, which will ruin that coil because the burnt taste will not come out.
  23. What @Earthling789 said. I would also like to add a request to know what material is your coil made of? Stainless steel, nickel, kanthal... and what resistance is this coil?
  24. Back in the day, there wasn't much difference in flavor with different tanks... not like today where it can be worlds apart. Other than the difference between clearomizers and direct drip atomizers, there wasn't much to talk about.
  25. And lasting much, much longer than the 40W mod (5000 mAh).
