It is truly amazing, isn't it? I quit right away - after smoking for 34+ years. I am coming up on my two year anniversary of being smoke free and I'm still amazed by it.

    Congratulations and welcome!

I don't belong to any other forums, so I may be just a bit biased, but I like this place. It's comfy. It's homey. It's safe. It's family. Chris has done a wonderful job putting it together, maintaining it, keeping the drama out, and keeping it a good place to be. He's picked the best of the best as admin's to help him out, too.

Hi Chindra! I always recommend the eGo, too. I smoked a pack and a half a day for 34 years before finally quitting with ecigs. I went through a lot of different devices before they came out with the eGo and that's the one I've used the most now. I've gone on to some "mods", too, and love the ones I have, but I still use the eGo. I'm fairly certain it will do the trick for you. I also agree with the suggest of the LR attys...they're absolutely the way to go with the eGo. Much more satisfying vapor. I was not a menthol smoker, but I've heard that Tasty Vapor makes a fantastic menthol. You might want to give it a try. I do vape even more than I ever smoked (because I love it so much more than I did smoking) and find that I go through the eGo batteries faster than a lot of people do. I keep 4 batteries on hand - just in case. Usually one will finish charging before I need to charge the one I'm using, but if I can't be where I can charge, I need those extras. Just a thought. I also keep plenty of backups around...extra attys (lots), liquid (lots), and a spare charger. You don't want to run out of any one thing and have to resort to buying smokes again.

    Good luck and happy vaping!!!

How long do you think it will take before this thing is nicknamed the Penis Pump mod But all joking aside, Cartos are cheap to replace. To me this is like putting plastic utensils in the dish washer.

I'm also willing to be $10 bucks palermo that you are the owner of Micronix. Especially because that video was posted on Youtube less than 48 hours ago. It was just barley indexed on Youtube and the name Cartojet doesn't even pop up on Google.... You've gotta give the Vapor Talk members a little more credit than that

I remember you struggling with it so I'm glad to hear it's better for you now. I thought it could be a struggle for me after 34 years of smoking, but it just wasn't. I was one of the lucky ones, I guess. My addiction is to ecigs now, too, but it's a much more enjoyable addiction. LOL

Hello Schizophretard...good to see you again.

I haven't smoked in almost two years now. And it hasn't been a struggle at all.

This is too funny!! Try it. Really, try it.

1 - Open Google Maps (directions).
2 - Type China as your starting point.
3 - Type Taiwan as your destination.
    4 - Read step #48.
5 - When you stop laughing, pass this on so others can laugh too!

I smoked for 34 years. I loved smoking. I never wanted to quit, but felt like I should. Partly because of the health benefits and partly because of the cost. I didn't know that I couldn't breathe very well. I didn't know how bad I smelled. Until I quit. When I first heard about the ecig, my first thought was that I could keep "smoking" and yet not be smoking. I wouldn't have to give up the hand to mouth habit or the inhaling habit. Thrilled me all to pieces. It worked as well for me as I thought it would. From the very first inhale, I knew I never wanted another analog again. I absolutely love vaping. As much as I thought I loved smoking, it doesn't even come close to my love of vaping. I'm at 17 months and counting now. I have no plans whatsoever of quitting. I don't want to quit. I enjoy vaping - even at 0 nic. I love watching the clouds of vapor I produce. I look forward to sitting down to take a break and having my vape. I don't see me ever wanting to quit. Now, if it just happens...if someday down the road I find myself vaping less and less until I don't vape any more at all...well, that's okay. I just don't see me doing that on purpose. Like ripple, I find it to be a wonderful hobby and I can't say I'll never quit. I'm just not working towards that.

Although my post count is high, it was never my intention to add to the post count. My intention has always been to help the new people when I could (even if it wasn't much), to welcome all the new people as I was welcomed when I joined, to give encouragement when it's needed, or to just acknowledge someone or something someone said. There have been times when things got a little "playful" or "chatty", but I always thought that went along with the "family" environment that has been created here. That "family" quality is one of the reasons why I like Vapor Talk so much. Another reason is that people can come here and get all of the information they might need in a friendly and non-threatening way. The people who give so freely of their time and knowledge are what make Vapor Talk what it is. In my opinion, the staff do a wonderful job of keeping everything in line. I truly appreciate each and every one of them.

I just saw this on the news. They said the pictures will be on the whole back and part of the front of the cigarette packages. They seem to be sure those pictures will make people quit smoking.

Beginning September 2012, FDA will require larger, more prominent cigarette health warnings on all cigarette packaging and advertisements in the United States.

Some other countries are already doing this, but damn, these are pretty hard core...

You can read more directly from the FDA's website here: http://www.fda.gov/TobaccoProducts/Labeling/CigaretteWarningLabels/default.htm

Never used a disposable, so can't help much. The problem with a disposable is going to be battery life. If you're a heavy vaper, one of those small batteries is only going to last 1-2 hours max.

    Madvapes has some for $10.

After reading both of your posts, I don't quite understand. You've never smoked and you only vaped once years ago. You didn't like vaping because you didn't get enough vapor...you want heavy vapor. How do you know you want heavy vapor if you've never had it? In your other post you said "The sensation of vapor coming out of the mouth is just so pleasant, it's akin to getting a nice body massage.", but in this one you said "I didn't particularly enjoy it because the ecig I had was pretty crappy and didn't produce much vapor at all so I left it." I'm not sure how it can be pleasant and yet you didn't enjoy it. If you did not enjoy the experience years ago, why are you interested again?

Everyone here used to be a smoker. We switched to vaping in the hopes that it would be better for our health than smoking. We all believe that it is, but it is a substitute for smoking. For most of us, if we couldn't vape, we'd go back to smoking. Simple as that. Vaping isn't cheap by any means - even using 0 nic liquid. For most of us, it's just a better option than smoking.

We are here to help anyone who wants to make the switch from smoking to vaping. We do not encourage non-smokers to take up vaping, but we can make recommendations if it's really something you want to do (assuming you are over the age of 18). If someone was wanting to try smoking, I would encourage them to try vaping instead, but I think I would try to discourage them from trying either one. I only want you to think about it.
