Wow, don't know of anything today that has a 10 year warranty except custom builders.  I have two mods that would fit the bill.   The GeekVape Aegis Legond and the Teslacigs XT.  Both are pretty hardy.  The best subohm (not RBA) I have had to date is the Vaporesso Cascade Baby.  Amazing flavor if you use the mesh coils.  Does not leak.

    need more info.
do you build your own coils? only store bought?
are you a heavy vaper?   like lots of vapor and power?
what are the specifics on your beloved set up?
what resistance?  what wattage do you set? how much do you vape? what nicotine content do you use?
  3. Thanks

    Welcome to VT!
Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Provari, so I don't know what you are trying to replace.  It is a holiday weekend though and there may be a lot of sales.
    Good luck!!

Welcome back!  I'd guess just about everything, lol.  Layers upon layers of sophistication along with every gimmick people could think of.  Flashing lights, touch screens, vibrators, clocks.  I heard one unconfirmed tale of an mp3 player.  But the basics are the same.  Still dangle some cotton in juice.  Push a bunch of electrons through a wire to heat up the juice.  Inhale the vapor!  Have fun getting re-introduced.  You may be surprised at the options.

Welcome back! Well, he isn't far from wrong with respect to inexpensive mass produced China Mods (generally speaking). Personally I have had fairly good luck with most of my Mods with the exception of those made by iJoy. I'm fairly gentle with mine and most of them have lasted.

As far as the latest and greatest, I really can't say for sure. Part of it depends on what you are looking for. Personally, I prefer just about any Mod with an Evolve DNA board or a YiHi board. In addition to that I like the Geek Vape Ageis and VOOPOO DRAG. There is a bit of a stir about the Gene chip, which seems to be very good.

Made it to the 1 year mark! Today it is one year that I started vaping and got off the stinkies! Just had to share!

Thank you all for the help, support and friendship! I have learned so much from all of you and have a acquired several new "tools" to help me make this a success. The first year in over 30 years I haven't smoked.

    Here's to year 2!!

Well, I've been vaping exclusively for 3 years now--not one cheat. This site is solely responsible for aiding me through the transition, which took many months. It is obviously much safer than cigarettes. The only thing that troubles me is that if I didn't have my vape I would go back to regular cigarettes. It's not so much the nicotine as it is the oral fixation. But, I guess that is not the e-cigarette's fault.

In my previous post I mentioned that I was a judge at a story telling contest. The venue is on the top floor of a building with no lift. there are quite a few levels of stairs and once inside the venue you are basically in that room without escape. Of course one can go out but it's not very polite and you are rather expected to stay for the duration. That can be 3 to 4 hours. I've not done this contest for about 3 years so I was so pleasantly surprised. The last time I did it no matter how hard I tried to concentrate on my duties, my mind kept saying, "how can I go sneak a smoke"? like every 5 seconds. This time, I couldn't believe it was happening that I really didn't think about missing my vape. I was really concentrating on critiquing the kid's stories. I only thought about vaping when I had to put my hand in my pocket for a pen or something and felt my mods. Even then I was able to go right back to what I was doing with only a minor craving for the vape. I was so amazed! I think this was the first time I've been in a closed venue since I started vaping. I've always been so paranoid about not having equipment failure without even waiting to see if a craving happened. In my mind this goes to support the argument that all those other chemicals in tobacco smoke are at least as responsible for tobacco addiction as nicotine.

I also mentioned that I went to a pub with friends after the contest and saw a lady with a very cool PV that I didn't get to find out about. But I didn't mention one of the greatest moments of that little session. I was leaving and had to pass a stand of trees where some of the staff from the pub were having a smoke break. One of the guys had a very cool 1960's Michael Jackson afro and wasn't smoking but vaping an eGo twist. I had to stop and comment. I told him he looked so cool, retro and modern at the same time. He said afros are coming back. Made me feel so young again for just a moment. (SIGH)

Loving the end of that article... "use only as a last resort to stop smoking. " Wonder if they have the same thoughts towards drugs that cause suicidal thoughts/tendancies in enough people to have alternatives to it. Doubtful, someone is getting paid lots of money for those, you know, with "regulation".

For a while, after switching to vaping, I really couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes. After a year of vaping, the same thing happened to me.. It's been nearly three years of vaping only. Not one analog, and I just love the smell of cigarettes, not on clothing or ashtrays, but someone smoking nearby or smoking as I vape,.. yes. I'm not tempted in the least to try a cigarette if I have my e-cigarette, but I do know that if I had technical difficulties and was not able to even get a vape replacement at some 7-11, of course I would have an analog. I'm addicted to either the nicotine or the action of smoking, or both. That's my reality.

Vaping is in the headlines, it's Vogue, it's hip, it's rebellious... People rush to buy Converse hi-tops or Sperry's because celebrities are wearing them... The fedora is making a come-back as a fashion statement. You are 100% correct, there are (too) many people that follow the crowd (sheeple), and will try vaping because they see it in the media or one of their "cool friends" doing it. These people vape as a fashion statement, and will likely give it up as soon as the new, "hip" thing comes around.

I vape to get my nicotine-fix, after 30 years of conditioning and addiction. If someone has a love for peppermint and wants to vape 0-nic peppermint, let them (as long as they are an adult, making an adult decision).

Would I try it if I had never smoked? 100% chance of "NO"... I'm not a follower, and I don't care what the celebrities or sports-stars are doing! And no, I don't own any Chuck Taylor's or Sperry's, or a fedora, either

If you order an HH.357, I'd suggest spending a couple dollars more and go with the custom. Just recently I ordered a regular HH.357 and for me, it just doesn't have the same vape quality. At first I thought it was just the one atomizer so I tried a second and...same thing. From now on I'll only order the custom. The problem with the custom is that it requires at least a two week lead time...

Was it you who said you vape 100% PG only? If so, that might be why the youtube video looks like it works better than yours. Might need more VG.

When it comes to a tank system, I would have to say the Aspire nautilus is the best thing out right now. Also the kanger aero tank( reg/mega/mini) r really good tank systems. They both have the internal coil that you change every week or so. Hope this helps.

I am suffering with the same struggles. I started vaping in Feb I have actually purchased 3 packs of smokes during that time. It is a mental addiction for me. When I'm around someone who smokes my "brand" I have the need to smoke one. It always tastes terrible and I tend to throw it down after a few puffs, but I just can't say NO! Hang in there as I will, eventually I believe I will kick this nasty habit.
    Best of Luck

Hi Breal. Good to have you back!

The 306s are becoming very hard to find these days. My personal favorite atomizer is the custom HH.357 from Avid Vaper, it's a 510 atomizer for direct dripping. Many say these are the Lamborghini of atomizers and I have to agree. The price is certainly telling but worth every penny for the quality of flavor and vapor I get. If you decide to try these, be sure the follow the directions on their webpage carefully as there are specific instructions -- even for veteran drippers.

Brian at The Veteran Vaper still carries the 306s and he's still around the forum albeit infrequently. Christopher, BirdDog, Jeffb, Mark, McQuinn are still here but sadly, many other members have stopped posting. Glad to see you again.

The jury is still out on that one, but it could be determined quite easily by getting someone to exhale a few times into a gas-chromatograph and simply measure it... but that would be too easy for our government nannies to do

Seriously, if you worry about it, don't do it, and you'll sleep better at night. It's that simple....

One thing I can tell you is that vaporized nicotine is absorbed quickly by the soft-tissue of your mouth, tongue, throat and lungs. My best (scientific/medical) guess is that the vast majority of nicotine from each "hit" is absorbed by the body, and VERY little makes it back out into the atmosphere on exhale.

Also, if your kids eat tomatoes, eggplants, cauliflower, green peppers (and scores of other fruits/vegetables) they are ingesting natural nicotine (in very small quantities).... Nicotine is a naturally occurring insecticide, produced by the plants, themselves... perfectly natural, perfectly safe, perfectly NORMAL!

Yeah, I really did like Eureka, also Warehouse 13 was funny, too. There were a few more that didn't go past the first or second season, and I was truly bummed. V is one of them. I even started to like The Event. But they canceled them!! So sad. I'm reluctant to start a new series for fear that they will just cancel them--like Stargate SGU. Very sad.

Yeah, not a bit sequel person either.

I'm kind of bummed that there isn't a lot of sci fi on TV anymore. I'm not really into the vampire or horror stuff, but I like a good sci fi show. I was really into Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, V, and a couple of others that were canceled.

Has anyone heard of any new shows coming out?
