  1. That looks really amazing.. I have no idea how to do my own coils. Yikes! But would love to learn. Thank you so much for all of the information!
  2. I am looking those up. Any idea on what is the best tank out there? Really would like a 5ml. And any idea on the best batteries out there? Which is your favorite? How long have you had these? They look super sharp!
  3. I am a very heavy vaper— still. I still do not know how to build my own coils though. A Provari was a pretty big mod with a ten year warranty. I don’t like to hit over 70 watts and I do like low ohm 0.5 to 1.7. For me it’s all about longevity, long lasting, low maintenance. I wouldn’t have thought I was picky until this moment. I just need something reliable that doesn’t leak
  4. Hi Everyone! On December 3, 2011, I quit smoking my pack and a half a day analogs and I never looked back. I eventually settled with my beloved Provari and sow 5ml tanks and went happily on my way. Well, I need a new vape and provape closed its doors. Help!!! I love durability and long lasting NON LEAKING technology. Can someone please tell me what’s the latest and the greatest, and not too too pricy? My backup is an old flimsy thing and I’m terrified it will die on me. much, Much, Much Appreciated! Breal
  5. Hi everyone. I haven’t been here in a while, But I started beeping six years ago, December 3rd. A few months into my Vape being experience I found the provari. I got the general one and then a year or so later got a mini. Half a decade later my vapes began to have some issues and felt it was fine for a new one. I have to add that I have never had a cigarette in all that time but I know that I would without a vape. Sad, I know, but just being honest. Come to find out that Provari went out of business. I found a vape store and bought a tarot nano as a back up and a Revenger kit as a primary. But, wow, do I miss my provari, which the guy behind the register scoffed at. Has that much changed? My question is, what is the latest and the greatest. The guy behind the counter said that everyone replaces their vapes every six months. Every six months? What else has changed? Thank you all in advance. And wonderful to see everyone again! Breal
  6. Well, I've been vaping exclusively for 3 years now--not one cheat. This site is solely responsible for aiding me through the transition, which took many months. It is obviously much safer than cigarettes. The only thing that troubles me is that if I didn't have my vape I would go back to regular cigarettes. It's not so much the nicotine as it is the oral fixation. But, I guess that is not the e-cigarette's fault.
  7. Oh Wow!!! Awesome!! I had no idea. Today I went to try to change the atomizer insert (I think that's what you call it) and I was surprised that it came right out! Oiy!
  8. I love my Aspire Nautilus,.. really amazing tank. I have the big one and I only have to fill it about once a day or just over. But, the replaceable atomizer got stuck in the tube (the non-threaded part). I tried and tried to remove it, then my husband tried to take it out with some pliers, but the glass cracked! I went ahead and ordered another one from hoosier (great deal at $27). I know someone sells replaceable parts (for now just duct taping the crack and still can't get the atomizer out). Does anyone know where to get these replacements or if it is even worth it? Very sad.
  9. I'm sorry.. I know I'm late to this, but I just watched something on YouTube about these new regulations. But, I'm not sure how it's going to affect us, exactly.. Can someone dumb this down for me?
  10. Wow... It's getting real. E-cigarettes have helped millions. This is just criminal, and all for the sake of money, make no mistake. I'm saddened.
  11. For a while, after switching to vaping, I really couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes. After a year of vaping, the same thing happened to me.. It's been nearly three years of vaping only. Not one analog, and I just love the smell of cigarettes, not on clothing or ashtrays, but someone smoking nearby or smoking as I vape,.. yes. I'm not tempted in the least to try a cigarette if I have my e-cigarette, but I do know that if I had technical difficulties and was not able to even get a vape replacement at some 7-11, of course I would have an analog. I'm addicted to either the nicotine or the action of smoking, or both. That's my reality.
  12. Ok, OK! I admit it. I'm addicted. And the vapor is not just water.. there is 'some' nicotine. I get it. There may also be a chemical or two that I will just term "a bad idea". But, flavors? Seriously? Get a life! And kids wanting to vape? How is that an argument??? I just don't get that one. It's definitely going to get more strict, sadly. But, it's been beautiful while it lasted. In December in will be 3 years since I've begun vaping and stopped analogs--completely. I just don't plan on quitting. It's been a wonderful near 3 years.
  13. Yes, VG definitely gives more vapor. I don't have a problem with too little vapor. It's all about flavor to me. I would be just fine with zero vapor if the flavor were smooth and strong. But, it's been a long time since I have tried VG... maybe about a year and a half. I might pick up a Gorilla Juice, if that is still available, to see if I feel the same way about the flavor. I'm open! I've been vaping Dunhill from myfreedomsmokes (which was just discontinued!!!!) but have just received their alternative. It's comparable. What I like about what I saw from the Aspire video is that one can adjust the draw. Not That's interesting. As for the HH.357, I will definitely order the custom, but I'm unsure as to what that means. Do you custom order based on resistance?
  14. Thanks everyone! I looked at a YouTube video on the Aspire Tank, and it looks like it works a whole lot better than the one I have. I will look up the nautilis, as well. I like the idea of adjusting the airflow. This could work on my long journeys! But, for day to day, I love dripping, so I will be putting in that order for the HH.357 tomorrow. It's been a busy couple of days, so I have been relying heavily on the tank I got from the local store. It's meh. But, it gets the job done, at least. I appreciate all of your input. Truly.
  15. It's NOT psychological. It's physiological. Cigarettes have anti-depressant qualities. Make no mistake, it's not just about the nicotine.
  16. I was a menthol smoker, too. During the times when the cravings were really really bad, someone suggested I take a few hits of a 36 mg nicotine strong menthol flavor. I don't recommend this as a normal vape as it's way too much nicotine and can be very dangerous. But, a few hits of that seemed to really help. Other than that, you really have to just grin and bear it because one hit of an analog puts you back to square one. It's not about the taste. It's about the extraneous chemical addictions (not the nicotine). Your brain has to rewire itself, and that, unfortunately, can be a difficult process. But, it can be done! Over time, the cravings are less and less. Two and a half years later, I never think about analogs now. Other than those markers, it does get easier.. and the markers become less and less intense. Just remember that it's a physical addiction, it's not You. You are not weak. You are just going through withdrawal, that's all. Again, it is Not You. My advice to you is to just do it and never look back. And if you do look back, just force yourself to look away. You can do this.
  17. I'm just the opposite. I love the tobacco taste and it's the only thing I Vape. I was a menthol smoker for over a decade and I just went the other way. I love the taste of tobacco, although I have come to truly dislike the smell of cigarettes. Weird, I know. What I was told two and half years ago is that if you begin to vape, you have to just choose to never go back. It's very hard to quit while doing both vaping and the occasional cigarettes. From my research, I found that cigarette companies add additional addictive chemicals which cause one to become addicted to their brand. Not only that, but the added chemicals in cigarettes not only boost the nicotine delivery, but they have very powerful anti-depressive properties. So, the addiction to cigarettes is not so much the nicotine as the other stuff. You are fighting a bear, one of which -- nicotine -- is the lesser demon. What helped me is to remember the markers.. the two month mark, the four month, the 9 month, the 12 month, etc.. They say that when you give up nicotine, it is during these stages where you get "attacked" by an overwhelming desire to smoke analogs again. I would argue that it's not the nicotine at fault here at all, but those other qualities which make cigarettes so deadly and so helpful all at the same time (anti-depressive, anti-anxiety, quick mental acuity, etc... ). We do tend to self-medicate, after all. Upon further consideration, perhaps that is the reason certain versions of anti-depressants are said to aid in quitting smoking. No kidding. It's almost too easy to put two and two together, but nicotine, somehow, takes the bad rap and no one wants to discuss those other factors which even a blind person can see. I suffered through those months the hard way. In retrospect, perhaps I would have taken some natural herbal supplements during those trying times which help to calm ones nerves. Good luck! And let us know how you are doing.
  18. Hi everyone! It's hard to believe that I've been vaping now for two and a half years (with not one cheat). A year ago I switched from mega dual coil cartomizers (and regular cartomizers) to 306 atomizers. These have not only become increasingly difficult to find, but more cheaply made, so they began to break much more quickly. The 510 atomizers are still around here and there, but it looks like these are eventually going to go by the wayside, too. Not even provape sells them anymore. What gives!!! In a desperate moment, I found this Vape store near my home where I picked up the only thing they sold as a delivery system... a type of tank ($18) that you have to switch out the internal atomizers to every couple of weeks (less than $2 each). The tank is just ok, not a lot of vapor (I like 100% PG) and it's hard to get the hit I want. I have been away for a while, and I just wondered what has changed in that time! Can anyone recommend the best delivery system of their choosing? I do like the tank. It certainly is much, much, much, much less messy, but I really do miss the old style 306s (the ones that didn't break so quickly). Any recommendations? I have a Provari Mini. Thanks in advance!! And it's so nice to see everyone again... although the people I knew don't seem to be around!
  19. I did it!!! Six planes later and my provari was absolutely safe. They did say, before each flight, that they wanted to check all lithium batteries before the flight but that they would be returned directly after. I didn't do this *BLUSH! Some of my flights did not have a long layover and I was concerned that I would either A) Have a nicotine fit, or Would not be able to collect it and get to my next flight on time. On one of the flights, I wound up sitting next to someone with a mod who tried to vape secretly. Small world!! He flies a great deal and said that his mod had trouble working on airplanes, so as much as he tried, he could not get his to work. I was a bit nervous vaping on the plane, but on a few occasions I did have desperate moments where I did very discreetly. One thing that was recommended was that lithium batteries be taped on either end, so I made sure to do that with the two stored ones I brought with me. I carried them in my purse (not loosely). So, no troubles. Of course, these were all domestic flights. International may be more discriminating. Thanks everyone!!
  20. Well, I will be flying on three airplanes on Saturday--Delta. So, I will let you all know how it went! Thank you for all the valuable input. Will I vape on the plane??? Uhhh... It will be tough to not do so for 12 hours, to include lots of layover. Yikes!!! I was thinking of a nicotine patch or, in retrospect, I probably should have ordered a 36 mg nicotine e-liquid just so I wouldn't have to vape so much. Ugh.
  21. I'm scared of my provari getting confiscated. How do I get it through?
  22. Hi everyone! A quick update: I started vaping December 13, 2011. I haven't stopped!!! Yay!!! And I haven't had an analog since.... Thanks to this forum. Double Yay!!! But, I'm going on a flight via Delta from Virginia to California with 3 stops in between and the only e-cigarettes I have is a provari and an old V2. I would hate to lose my wonderful pink mini provari. I looked at the Delta site and couldn't find anything on a pvc or the batteries they come with. Help?! Does anyone know the policies?? I know I am not allowed to vape on the planes. That's ok. I have flown with e-cigarettes before without an issue, but that was a couple of years ago. I'm thinking of just getting some nicorete gum or something as I vape 24 mg nicotine e-liquid. I'm headed to a funeral, sadly, and I just don't think it's a good time to quit cold turkey. I wouldn't make it. (Nor do I ever want to quit). I appreciate all your help and experiences. Thanks in advance!
