I have no illusions that I have traded one habit for another, I also know, I would still be smoking if I hadn't found vaping.
It really doesn't bother me what people think about it....I just reply: would you rather I was still smoking cigarettes? If its strangers...I really, really don't care what they think.

It doesnt bother me anymore. I know that my vaping is a better alternative to smoking. The nay sayers can kiss my ass.

@ Darth, I tried the Innokin clearos on my MVP. I get what you are saying about it running hot. After a couple of vapes it gets too hot, to the point where its uncomfortable on my lips and I have to set it down. I'll stick with the nova or my Vision clearos on it.

This has a 650mah battery and can be used as a true pass-through using a 2 amp charger.(2.5 amp max). It features a blue led screen with battery level, volt setting and toot counter. 2 button, up and down, volt selector near screen, 3v-6v in .1v increments. eGo threading and a familiar eGo fire button. USB to mini USB cable for charging or PT. Threaded end cap screws off for use as a PT or to charge. Had it less than a day but I like it a lot already. The blue led reminds me of my ProVari and so does its performance. The puff counter is a nice feature also. I picked this up at this place -->http://www.free-cigs.com/Ego-Pass-through-VV-Stainless-Steel_p_126.html

LOL... I agree, I'm a box mod fan as well. I'd love to get a Reosmod one day, these MVP's sorta remind me of that sleek & sturdy design. Thanks for those links Darth, glad to see the price looks pretty darn reasonable for the product. Can't wait to hear more about these.

way to step on my toes Darth! jk Glad you posted this here b/c it's a product i'm interested in and this new category is the perfect place for this kind of stuff.

I don't think it's been released for purchase yet, last time i looked was 2 weeks ago or so, but it looks very intriguing. I love my smoktek vv 18650 but it's so fragile and not good for out and about where it could be dropped on concrete. This looks similar but more much durable. If only it displayed your ohms and battery life. Pbusardo posted a first look awhile back which is what sparked my interest. I'm awaiting his review with anticipation

Either way i'll prolly pick one up when they're available if the price is reasonable and it gets decent reviews.

I can't believe it's been 3 years already. Vapor Talk was the first forum I joined when I started vaping my NJoy NPro, and I never left. Thanks to Christopher and the fine members here. I've had a blast hanging out with you all. :hugs:

Boge kind of screwed up with the release of the LEO, they hyped it up and then for months only had the atty/cartridge system available, it took them like half a year to develop a carto for it, but once they did they had already lost most their customer base. i'm telling you though the carto's are worth it. the regular ones are ok, but the dual coils are awesome. warning though, they are juice monsters. all of the LEO carto's/clearo take about 4-5ml's. so make sure it's a juice you already know you like.

vapingzone.com also sells most of the LEO stuff.

The Janty stick was pretty bad. The V1 actually performed quite well but everything went down hill when they released the V2 and V2. I've tried a lot of e cigarettes, to many to count and there was some really "winners" in the bunch. But the worst was probably the e Pipe from china. What a POS that was. The jewel cover fell off, the battery would literally pop out if you hit the cover and performance was laughable. We called it the jack in the box e cig because you never really knew when the battery was going to pop out

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great posts and to JeffB for starting the thread. I've been looking for something new (aren't we all). Been using LR Cartomizers for several months now after leaving direct drip atty's behind (because they're too expensive and have a very inconsistent life span, in my experience.) I've been missing out on flavor since switching to cartos, so the promise of less-muted flavors really drew me to these clearomizers.

Mine arrived today from Discount Vapers; I ordered (3) of the LR eGo CE4+ variety with the longer wicks. http://www.discountv...aromizer-v2-lr/

So far, so very good. Much better flavor with these than cartos, very nice vapor production off my eGo battery, no leakage. But for me the best quality of these is simple: I can see how much juice I have left! No more nasty taste when I burn the carto because I'm outta juice. No more topping off and having it leak out the bottom.

Only gripe is having to fill with a syringe. I'd like to get away from using the syringe because I don't like accidentally sticking myself. How's everyone else filling their clearomizers?

I'll re-post as to their longevity, but from what you're all saying, I should at least get two weeks out each one.

While i generally only visit this forum, with such a potentially negative Ecig story out there, i have been looking at other forums as well trying to gather information. First, I will commend the moderators here for not closing or deleting this thread (as has been done on other forums), I think it is important that real information is shared as well as having the ability to share our own concerns with fellow vapers. That being said, I would like to share a quote posted on that 'other' forum from a registered vendor (saveasmoker.com). Since I cannot personally attest to the validity of the post, the moderators are welcome to delete or alter my post if needed.
The quote from 'MaxxVapor' was "I just spoke to the Chief at North Bay Fire District in Niceville. The incident happened 2/13/12. The battery that failed was unrecognizable but they found several 3.0v (Cr123a) lithium ion batteries and a recharger so it strongly appears the man was using a MOD." If this is accurate information, it should help give peace of mind to some. I am by no means an expert in batteries or battery safety, but I am certainly comfortable continuing to use both my Egos and my Provari without fear. After all, there is almost a certainty that analogs would have eventually killed me and if there is a one in a million chance of injury using my Ecig, it is a risk I happily take.
I agree with a poster on another thread that a negative incident such as this could 'undo' a lot of the positive steps the ecig industry and vapers in general have been doing at bringing vaping closer to public acceptance. I have had several friends ask me about the story and have shared that anytime a battery is used, there is a potential danger, but that I personally know over 100 vapers who have been vaping for a long time and never know of a similar accident.
I hope that accurate information will be collected and shared as time goes on, but I am highly doubtful that this will come from the 'sound byte media' as they will likely only look at this as another opportunity to slam Ecigs without concrete information to back it up....surprise, surprise.
Lastly, my thoughts and prayers go out to Tom and his family and i wish him a speedy and complete recovery.

Thanks for that bit of investigative Facebooking, Vacker! Nicely done!

This is the type of story that is so frustrating to deal with. The event is described in a horrific way, yet there are absolutely no real details that could be of use to anyone. Will those details be forthcoming? In today's news-bite media environment, it seems unlikely.

Now I just want to know more. JeffB assumes the gentleman was stacking his batteries. The news report says he has been using an e-cig for 2 years, so it's possible he's been around them enough to become interested in using mods, but perhaps ignored some important safety guidelines. It does seem highly unlikely that he was using an off the shelf model, even though what Vacker turned up points in that direction.

I'd also like to know a great deal more about batteries exploding: Why it happens, how to prevent it, could such an explosion cause the injuries described in these articles? Any medical folks out there on VT?

I know none of us wants to even consider the idea of something like this happening to us.

You can also use a paperclip to align the airflow tube again... usually works for me.

Agreed. Have a couple of paperclips for this purpose. Run it through the battery end while wiggling it around a little. Sometimes this will actually move the vertical wire just a bit and it will hit better than new.

Vaping and carto's = must have paperclips.

That sounds good Darthvapor. I have been using my eGo and updating it also. I agree on the price of the drip tip and I don't really care much for the ones I got from Wordup. I like the ones from nhaler cuz they are more comfortable on the lips and fit tighter but the price of thier's is even higher. 8 bucks, I think. I can't wait to put a 901 atty on mine. I already have the adaptor. I'm getting good vapor with my lr510 but it is fun to try new things. Gotta love the 900ma bat, it lasts me all day long.

    Chris,

Thanks so much for getting this information out. As a New Yorker, I had no idea these bills were pending until I read your post.

I have contacted both my Assemblyman and my Senator and told them to vote against these bills.

Keep up the good work, Chris!
