FXRich got a reaction from Sarah_1988 in Help! How to put Subox mini into temp control mode?
The manual that came with it should tell you how to switch modes. Three fast clicks of the fire button switches the modes. I have several of the Kanger 75w TC box mods, before you put the tank with a new coil on, press the fire button until 9.99 flashes, or it may read the last coil instead of the new coil. Also sometimes you will have to push the pin in the 510 connection in the base in a little because the coils may vary slightly in length. When putting a new coil in make sure there is not a O-ring from the previous coil stuck to the base, which does happen or the new coil may have 2 O-rings instead of just 1, in either case it will leak. Personally I haven't had a coil with 2 O-rings on it, but other people have reported it. Lastly going back to the coil length you may have to pry the center pin on the mod up a little, they advertise a spring loaded pin, but the spring isn't very strong, and doesn't put much pressure on the pin.
Your pic shows your mod is in NC mode which is for Nichrome, you should be using Ni mode which is for Ni 200.

Actually with the survival kit you get enough stuff to build 2 tanks if you don't mind using the Nautilus X coil for 1 of the tanks. I read a couple of reviews about the  Nautilus X, and they were mixed, sounds like a MTL tank.

No big hurry, I would like to replace the tank on my Kanger dripbox, and this looks like its what I want. There are plenty of 25mm drippers out there that will work with squonk boxes, but I want a 22mm setup, and this fits the bill.

First and foremost for me is friendly staff, and imperative to me that the sales rep knows the ins and outs of vaping as a whole, I have learned a lot from hearing reps talking to other customers. I don't want to hear biased opinions on various tanks, mods, set ups. When I go in looking for "something" I don't want to be pushed to buy a certain mod/tank/set up just because it's the newest and latest thing. I understand trying to make a sale, but if I'm not interested in a 200w mod, stop with the pushing. The B&M I frequent has an awesome guy (he's the owner) and he will steer customers to the BEST set up for them. He makes recommendations but doesn't get pushy.
As for products: I like to see a range of "stuff", from Ego batteries to the high end mods. I like to see a variety of simple Ego tanks to rebuildables, as well as the high end tanks/drippers. Having a variety of coils, and the supplies that go along with rebuildables. Nothing insures that I will never return to a shop quicker than stopping in for say: cotton bacon and asking for a particular wire than hearing: "Oh, I don't carry THAT. I hate that stuff". Tells me they are more interested in selling their favorites than what appeals to a variety of customers. And a variety of juice brands. Because juice/flavors/PG-VG ratios are as varied as the people who use them.

I agree with @VapeMama... nothing puts me out the door faster than pushy sales people, sales people that don't know what they are talking about (and think they do), sales people that are inattentive (don't listen to your needs/wants, don't acknowledge you in the room, etc)... and lastly, a shop that has a very poor selection of hardware AND juices and/or exorbitant mark-up in their prices!

Here is a link to rebuilding a Subtank mini RBA, it is a older style RBA, but the basics are the same. rebuilding is not for everybody, but it does save a lot of money.

It is much cheaper, I use RBAs exclusively in my subtank mini tanks, and haven't bought a coil for them in a long time. Premade coils can be bought, but I prefer to make my own. a little bit of mechanical aptitude is needed even when using premade coils. There are lots of videos on the subject.

Don't know what you mean by flavor going backwards, but most people say the higher the PG the more flavor. The amount of flavor depends on the flavor used, in the case of coffee I only use 6%, other flavors I use as much as 25%. I try to stay about 20% flavor, but sometimes you will need a little more sometimes a little less. It all depends on what you like. I don't believe there is a set amount especially when using multiple flavors in a mix.

For some people like me it is not easy to post a pic, I don't have a smart phone because they don't work where I live. Our digital camera works great for vacation pics and stuff like that, but doesn't do well on close up pics, And I can't see posting a fuzzy pic. It is actually easier for me to post a rendered 3D cad drawing than a pic. Usually when I do post a pic I find something on the net, and do a copy and paste. The avatar I use was taken with a digital camera which I had to upload to my computer from the camera so I could use it.
Just saying some of us don't post pics because its a PITA.

I did a little checking, and the nearest cell tower is about 12 mi from me, and there is a couple of buttes between there and here. There has been talk of getting a cell tower out here, but that's all its been is talk. The tower I get my internet from is only about 1/2 mile away. I thought about using the net connection for a phone, but haven't done that yet. Sounds strange but I get 7mbps internet service but no cell phone service.

The Subox mini uses a 18650 battery, I hope you ordered one for it, I use the LG HG2 battery in my Subox mini mods, but there are other batteries available that will work just as good.

The Subvod mega to the best of my knowledge uses the same tank as the Subox mini. They both use the Toptank mini, so the coils you currently use will work. The biggest difference is the Subox mini kit should come with a RBA. I currently use 2 Subox mini 75w mods, and never get close to using 75w. The most watts I have used with that tank was about 35w and that was with a .5 Clapton coil.

Part of the flavor of tobacco is the nicotine. maybe it doesn't taste right without nicotine in it. Back when I used analogs I didn't use any without nicotine in them so I don't know what they would taste like without nicotine in them. You could try a tobacco/vanilla mix, or maybe a little hazelnut mixed in.
Probably what you could do is get some 0 nic vanilla and mix it with your 0 nic tobacco, and see how that tastes. Experiment a little see what you can come up with.

You could go with a box mod, and a subtank of some kind. There are lots to choose from. Or you could go with a dripper if you like big clouds, and don't mind building coils. Most of the tanks on VT will fit on most any box mod the VT store sells. There are too many options to mention.
    BTW welcome to VT

I personally have a preference for the LG HG2 batteries, other people may have a different choice. They are a good 20A battery with a 3000mAh capacity, and work well with any tank, including the subohm tanks.
Always buy from a reputable dealer, and never buy batteries off of ebay.

Back in 1776 there were some people that revolted because of high taxes, and they were being oppressed. They formed their own country based on freedom, I sometimes wonder what happened to that country. History sometimes repeats itself.

Back in the late 80's, my cousin worked for one of the tobacco companies in a processing/packaging facility (doing their books)... she told me it cost 37 CENTS to make a pack of premium cigarettes (labor, packaging, paper, ingredients, and shipping... including factoring in utilities too), and at that time a pack was $1.50-$1.75 in KY.  Today, it probably costs twice that... and a pack of "generics" is $4 here... and $12 in NYC?  Last time I was in CA, I stopped by a smoke shop to check out their cigar selection (curiosity mostly) and was shocked at the prices!  Things I would pay $4-6 for in KY were $14-20... all because of TAXES.
Higher and higher taxes on tobacco is one of the main reasons the vaping has become popular, aside from being successful as a secession aid...

This Christmas we should decorate the trees with politicians, the whole country would get a Christmas present that way.
