    spending habits!

Usually, NOT ALWAYS... but most of the time & from experience at the bank... Peoples salary goes up. Their spending goes up. outings, car payments, kids, etc.

Think of it this way: Instead of having 10000 more in your pockets, you spent that 10 000 on good times with family and friends along the years and permitted yourself certain things that might not of been possible while still smoking!

Not to mention the health benefits that litteraly have no price!

So today was the first full day with a real cig. It would have been a few days ago but found a full pack of the Wides in my truck and hard to resist them. Found them on Thursday and made them last until Sunday morning but my wife was having one when I did so I only had ten cigs in four days. For me that is super awesome.

We both had a rough night's sleep due to no before bed smoke and today was going well enough. Went to the local vape store and picked up some Skittle flavored just for my Hades and the gal up there rebuilt my atomizer with dual twisted coils and new wick. What a huge difference.

Well the locking ring kept getting stuck on the Hades and as I just got it back together my co-worker came waddling by and knocked it off the table and dented the Hades really bad and I cannot get the lock ring unstuck yet again. It is really difficult to get the battery out and almost impossible to get it back together. But the dang lock ring is warped or something and now the Hades is unusable. So I had to get an Ego Twist like my wifes before I went postal on folks. Then I realize that my juice is for the Hades and is only 6mg. It has no hit at all out of the Ego so it was a rough day.

    I still didn't have a cigarette though

Yes she did, and a gave a basic answer of what "Dripping" is. It is opening dialog and "Keeping It Simple" I could have typed a long drawn out explanation of dripping down to building coils and how they correlate with dripping. Could have included wicking and all stuff. I chose to keep it simple so she will not get confused even further. I'm the type that when something is not understood I give out small chunks to keep the level of confusion low. If she wants more specific details then more direct questions are needed.

True fruit vapes are a hard one to nail because most flavorings are artificial and used for making candy. I have found a few, very few, but always looking for them. Some of my more popular flavors are Snickerdoodle, Buttered Popcorn, Spiced Apple, Apple Cider, Margarita, Home Canned Peaches and Watermelon. Other ones that are difficult to do a "true' flavor of are Chocolate vapes all have a somewhat artificial taste. That's not to say they are bad, just not "True" flavor.

I lean towards fruit flavors but theres a certain aftertaste I stay away from... hard to describe.. its some that get too sweet in a ronchy way? i like refreshing fruits. been using peach blast since the begining (peach with a fresh finish) and I recently started mixing watermelon with a mint flavor tog et the same kind of effect.

Recently tried a dew drop but it is a little shy so I will be mixing it with more mint to get the sweetness turned down. the custard/bakery flavors i never really flashed on, neither did I flash on the tobacco flavors (not the memories I want to keep when vaping)

Theres a whole bunch to try, what you could do was to droip by your local vape shop and try a few out there. usually they have a few ego's with different flavors for you to test out!

All I have vaped for over a year is Endless Summer from Fuzion Vapor and all my wife has vaped in that same timeframe is ECBlends Peppermint. She uses 70og-30vg 24mg and Fuzion uses a 100% VG base and has no PG added except what is in the flavorings.

Well put BCarter! No studies have been performed (or released) regarding long-term effects of vaping, but general consensus from "real" science suggests vaping is far safer than smoking! Let's look at some basic facts... PG and VG are main ingredients in the delivery system of many asthma inhalers, and Nicotine is found in every vegetable and fruit on the planet (natural insecticide).

Sure, you're trading one habit for another, but would it be any different if you were chewing nicotine gum 20-hrs a day, or patches all over your arms or legs? At least vaping will give you nicotine when you want/need it, rather than a patch or gum's instant high, too much, too little, or the crash when they stop working. I can honestly tell you from experience that vaping is a far better alternative than cold-turkey withdrawals, and a million times better than the physical/emotional changes caused by anti-smoking drugs!

He'll come around to accepting your vaping over smoking the moment he realizes you (and the whole house) no longer smell like smoke, and that your kisses no longer have an ashtray aftertaste

    Mcquinn is SPOT ON TARGET!

I started with eGo-style and cheap clearomizers... moved up to better Kanger tanks (lots of them), better eGo batteries, then added an MVP 2.0 to gain VV/VW and longer battery life between charges.

From there... I forced myself to stop buying new things and really explore juice and work on saving all that money I wasn't spending on smokes or new toys!

After 4 months of enjoying vaping (and pocketing savings), I decided to try RBA and bought two Mech MODs and two Russians... the next step was an RDA (and $30 for Kanthal and Japanese cotton), and I'm really happy with my Magma's flavor. Sure, I'd love to have a dozen more MODs and even more (and more) RBA/RDAs, but I don't "need" them... I just "want" them... and knowing the difference is why I've not spent thousands of dollars yet

If you're vaping to get away from smoking, a simple set-up is all you "need". I have one friend who's been vaping for 2 yrs and she has probably spent (not counting juices) <$200 on hardware... 3-4 Spinners and maybe half a dozen Vivi Nova tanks. Another person I gave my original starter kit to is still using it months later, and only added a Spinner-II, two Aerotanks, and a Nautilus to his arsenal of gear.

If you're chasing clouds, you can still do it on a budget set-up. A good quality Mech MOD, couple of quality batteries, charger, coil-building materials, and a quality RDA (or two) and you're all set ... just add juice

If you're really into the hobby aspect, you can easily drop thousands of dollars buying every shiny bit of hardware out there, but in the end, you wind up with a lot of toys on the shelf, as you'll find that you still gravitate towards one or two device combinations (and the rest will collect dust). I know about the "dust collection"... I just cleaned up several Kanger tanks, and plan to pay them forward to friends!

So, in a nut-shell... you can vape happily for <$100 in hardware... for a VERY long time! There is no rush to find your Unicorn, and honestly, everyone else's preferred equipment set-up is usually not yours (or mine), which is why there are more than one brand/style/color of everything available on the market!

I would strongly recommend the Vision Spinner 2 as a variable voltage battery. It's 1600 mAh so it'll last quite some time -- depending on your vaping habits. The Vapor Talk store has them for $29 each, which is about the lowest price for these that I've seen and they're guaranteed not to be knock offs as well. Even after vaping for over two years now, it's still my go-to battery even though I have other more "advanced" mech mods and APVs. I like these even better than a Provari. *ducks thrown objects by Provari enthusiasts*

    Welcome to Vapor Talk.

Just don't forget about the back-ups... or should I say don't let them sit on the shelf collecting dust! Use them in rotation so they get some love, use, and recharged from time to time... that way they'll be usable when you NEED one!

I just started dripping, but I am definitely a tank guy! I think with the dependability of the newer (better) tanks, there is just so much less to go wrong. I don't have to ask nearly as many questions, I just fill 'er up and go! I run tanks all day in the car. I drive an average of 5000 miles a month. I can't do that and drip. There are already too many distractions with texts/emails/phone calls, and other stupid drivers out there! (I am including myself in that group)(I don't text/email and drive, but I get as many as 100 a day of each and I do read them, which is probably just as bad)

I think the mechanicals, and drippers has just became more of a hobby for me, not really to keep me from smoking. I do enjoy the richer flavors and thick vapor from the dripper, it just to me is an evening habit that is much like a drink and a cigar.

Fish I derailed originally. It is a hot button issue with me lol. I hardly post here anymore because of it. I occasionally post still in the new member section but now even noobs are more worried about building a "triple octopus .2 ohm coil" as opposed to quitting smoking. I guess so to speak the board has left me and my fellow tank vapers behind and in most cases I have very little to add.

Well, its been several months. I cant even remember when I switched to vaping (I know it hasnt been that long, and Im fairly certain I have a sig that shows it, but the tapatalk app doesnt show it haha). But I think ive found my spot to sit at. Ive tried dripping and mech mods, and while ive had amazing vapes from them, the extra effort is more of an annoyance to me to be a payoff for now.

What I DO love are regulated mods and my russian. While I have 2 dna's (one clone, one original) I still dont even come close to using them to their full potential. Thats fine, im sure ill develop into the higher wattages. For now ill stick to 1.2 ohm builds and 14-15 watts.

I've been thinking what tp try next.. ive been eyeballing a REO, since maybe it will eliminate some of my annoyances with mech mods. Plus they look friggen epic. Also been eyeballing the rDNA to match up with the original vs I have (which is having its bat replaced... turns out a 8 foot drop os not so good for it lol). And finally I'm brainstorming ideas for what to get to compliment the Russian. The fogger looks like a good idea, but theres been so many good tanks out there im hesitant. Im looking at you, there, elkronigin.

And now that ive rambled long enough, id like some input from all of you fine folks. Money is tight for me, so I cant go head first into a lot of different toys just yet.

I love my RDAs and they still top the Orchid in flavor, and will always remain my favorite. Vapor is about the same. The difference in flavor is not far off and I find that a happy compromise in exchange for not topping off all the time. Topping off RDA is not a big deal but when travelling quite a bit like I am doing lately, it really gets on my nerves sometimes.

Orchid is basically more like a kayfun/fogger, So there was a slight learning curve for me the first day. Lots of leaking and I had to re-wick it 3 times only to find out it was my filling technique that was wrong. haha

If you do decide to give it a try, consider getting the V2 or a top fill cap for easy filling. But even without them, it is easy to fill without having leaking problems, just cover the airholes and chimney when filling them up.

I am planning to get a spool of 24gauge round. I saw where you posted that you use .9 ribbon (in the picture above) and .5 ribbon for Kanger coils. I don't rebuild my Kanger coils (i uses Nautilus now), I will only be using in RDAs What do you recommend to start out with?

Dang memories! I used to love the cheap drugstore balsa wood airplanes! The kind that had the hook on back and the plastic piece that held the propeller on front. The main wing slid through the solid balsa wood fuselage. You would twist them forever for a 2 second flight (crash) I wonder if they even make them anymore?
