Yet they still sell unhealthy junk food which contributes to the deaths of more people than smoking.

MG = milligram -- as in how many milligrams of nicotine is in the juice

PG = propylene glycol -- this carries the flavor, gives more throat hit, thins juice

VG = vegetable glycerine -- this gives more vapor, thicker juice, smoother throat hit, slightly sweeter (more of this and it gunks up coils faster)

VC = not a clue what this is. Sorry!

Mouse pad, at this point, seems to be a total loss, but I was going to Microcenter for PC stuff anyway, so I'll just pick up a new one while I'm there. Desk is getting cleaned off more, so I'll have more room, and not be so pinched for space that I set bottles on the mouse pad again.

So, I got my glass bottle of 555 down to fill this Aspire that I'm trying out.....still not sure about it, but that's another post. But I needed to refill the tank, so I got the 30 ml glass bottle down that I had put some in. Used about a dropper in the Aspire. So a total of about 4 droppers full have been taken from this glass bottle. I set the cap on it, forgot to screw it back on because supper was getting ready to be ready....and knocked the damn bottle over. I'd say I spilled about 10 mls of 555 on my mouse pad. Didn't get near the mouse, thank goodness, because I'd be in trouble, then, now I just have to figure out a way to get this mouse pad either dried out or dejuiced or something.

    Hello,

My name is David and I just got into the "hobby" of vaping. I began with a Vision Spinner 1300 mAh with a KangerTech Protank 2. So far I am in the market to upgrade because it has become more of a hobby for my recently.

If I have any questions I will post in the appropriate category,

I'm getting used to this forum now, it's actually really fun. Getting some great advice from people.

So one other thing I wanted to try grasp from people (being a newbie to e-cigarettes) is the amount to which its actually helped you to quit smoking. I've given up cigarettes cold turkey instead of trying to balance a little of both and then progress straight onto e-cigs full time. What are your methods and how affective has it been?

    Thanks guys!!

I think that's why so many people fall for this one, it's because we want it to be true. We want to believe there's someone out there who is so good and virtuous and loving and giving... I like the premise even though it's got plot holes as big as the Grand Canyon.

    This is the only place where 18 + 12 = 15, lol

The nicotine content is by volume, so mixing doesn't compound it. 1 ml of 18 plus 1 ml of 12 = 2 ml of 15

And nicotine adds a lot of bitter flavor. The testers are usually at 6mg of nic or less so more flavor comes through

Ok so I got a Itazte SVD as my first mod and so far I'm liking it pretty good. Now I've been doing a lot of research and YouTube vid watching on RBAs and I'm pretty sure I want to dive into that side of vaping. I don't think I'll have any problems picking it up cuz I'm pretty good and building things and tinkering with things.

Now the real question I have is, can I use RBAs with my VV SVD? Or are the RBAs only to be used with a mech mod? IF I can use a RBA, which one would y'all recommend? I'm not exactly sure where to start are far as deciding on which one to go with. I'm not looking for a "fog machine", I'm mainly looking for something that will give a good vape with superior flavor.

ryanmcgarth02 reacted to Sweatervest13 in Any Athletes out there?
    Hi All,

I was wondering if there were any athletes on here and how vaping has effected their "wind"? I have played hockey all my life. I have played as an adult when I was not a smoker, and when I was smoker. And I have noticed a lot more lung capacity when I was quit from smoking.

When I first switched to vaping I did see a bit of an improvement, but not like when I was fully quit (No cigarettes, and no vaping). Has anyone else noticed this when really pushing your heart and lungs with vigorous exercise? I still get that deep lung burn, but not nearly as bad as when I was still on the analogs. I thought it would have been gone by now. I do feel it getting better, but that burn is still there. Anyone else out there experience this? Will it go away with time?

On a side note, when I was still on the analogs and dipping, I would notice that my feet would get very cold (numb) very quickly on the ice. I always assumed that it was because of the nicotine constricting my capillaries and slowing down blood flow to my feet and hands and being in a cold hockey rink. But now with vaping, it is not nearly as bad. I still get some numbness on the feet, but not like before. I wonder if it was all the junk in analogs and the dip that made it worse? Anyways, thanks for reading. Happy Friday everyone!!

ryanmcgarth02 reacted to TheCas3y in New liquids giving harsh throat hit
I am very new to vaping, and I just ordered my first set of liquids to try out and I've tried a few and I keep getting a harsh throat hit that burns my throat, regardless of voltage.

To start with, I'm running with a Kanger Mini ProTank-II as well as an EGO Winder. I've got 2.5 Ohm attys.

I bought my setup from a shop in St. Louis and they didn't give all the options of PG/VG, the only option I had were flavor and nicotine level. The initial flavors I had were very smooth and I didn't have any problems.

I just ordered a few flavors from MBV, and because I wasn't sure what PG/VG levels to go with, I just went 50/50, because I thought that would be safe.

I know what PG and VG are, but I guess I'm not understanding which one will give me the smoothest smoke. Whenever I inhale it makes my throat very scratching and I have to fight against coughing on exhale.

I run somewhere between 3.6 and 4.0 volts.

I have cleaned my attys and washed and dried all the parts before putting a flavor in, and I think I'm doing everything right.

Just wondering if there is something else I can do to make it smoother, or if I should just adjust my PG/VG levels to get a smoother smoke.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Welcome !!
data is still out on the actual effects of e cigs. but consensus is that we feel significantly better than we did when we were smoking. you will probably have to do a bit of research to figure out what kind of device you would like to start with.....unfortunately, there are many choices available. you may want to find a vendor a bit closer, the shipping costs and time for delivery will be a bit better.

the UK has a vendor I used when I first started vaping. Am not certain which vendors are still around in the area however.

if you are interested in ordering from the US we have some great vendors.

http://www.vaportalkstore.com/product-p/evod-starter-kit-silver.htm The Vapor talk store is having a great sale. this kit is a great place to start. Not sure how much shipping will be to india however.

Not sure about import restrictions into India but if you can you should just get an Ego battery a Vision Vivi Nova ,some extra coils and several assorted bottles of liquid .Works well for a lot of us.

    ECig Regulating.
    By Dr. Ross

    http://www.nicotinepolicy.net/gilbert-ross/516-smoking-kills-and-so-might-e-cigarette-regulation

"Effectively excluding e-cigarettes from the market via stringent regulation would have the effect of killing smokers and protecting cigarette and pharmaceutical markets. E-cigarettes, a far safer form of nicotine delivery, should not be submitted to tougher regulation than cigarettes.

Americans should not have to die from misguided regulation."

    The entire article is quotable.

    Ryan,

Congrats on your decision to quit tobacco. You're gonna be amazed at how much better you feel, and all the other benefits, taste, smell, money etc. After slowly poisoning yourself with tobacco smoke, you are now going to enjoy smoking vapor with virtually no health consequences. shortly, you'll never even consider going back to tobacco.
There are lots of people here with lots of experience who have all experienced everything you are going through and I can assure you were are thrilled for you and willing to help in any way possible.
Read everything you can about equipment and I am sure you'll find just the right PV (personal vaporizer) for your needs. Best of luck to you, and again, congratulations on a wise decision.

I'd suggest a simple ego. They're cheap, a great place to start. Although, if you want to start really small, try a disposable. I started with a Chocolate Chill "ehookah" as my first. Of course, is the look and feel of an actual cigarette important, or is it the nicotine and "smoke"? If you need it to look like a cigarette, wait for somebody else to recommend one. I had poor luck with a V2 Cigs e-cig and dont know any others in that style.
