RBA, because I can set it to auto-drip. I can tilt to saturate the wick and vape from the tank, or I direct drip onto the wick and coil.

We would need a bit more detail of your rebuild to troubleshoot your problem. You could be getting a hotspot in your coil build. That is usually what can cause a burnt taste.

No problem bro. I just wanted to make sure, but didn't feel the need to post something that had already been posted. Next time I do a step-by-step tutorial, I won't leave anything out. Your thread deserves the redirect though, as you did an awesome job explaining the process in detail.

I would never object to someone posting as much info on new techniques as they can...this place is all about learning and sharing. I found out about how to rebuild from someone else, added a twist or two of my own, and then posted what I've learned, so you won't be stepping on my toes by doing the same.

Yes, I would've done a more thorough step-by-step, but then I might have stepped on Rixters toes. He explained it in perfect detail, so please refer to his PINNED post for the complete rebuilding process. Vape On!

you dont actually fuse the wire... thats the beauty of it. Its acts as its own animal. It conducts as though its "one wire" but it produces more vapor by being multiple wires... if that makes any sense... lol and we didnt invent it... just build them.

Actually bebop that's counterproductive to a microcoil. The idea of a micro coil is you compress all the wires together to make them act as less. So you get more surface area I.e. more vapor and less ohms due to conductivity through a "larger" wire. If you have gaps it ups the ohms.

I use 28g and only do 6-8 coils for a 1.3 ohm coil. love the cotton too. Just can't use embroidery floss since its way to aggressive and doesn't have enough stature to stop the juice from flooding. :/

Very nice. I started to use organic cotton for the last few rebuild. Cheap and easy to get. Roll it to any size I want to. Replacing the cotton is also easier than replacing the wick. I use 30g wire, 10 to 12 wraps for 1.9 to 2.3 ohm.

I've had a few people here, and elsewhere who were curious how I built my cotton wick and micro coil for the Pro Tank 2. It's super simple. Here is a quick step by step.

    Needed :
    - 5/64 drill bit
    - Sterile Cotton Ball (boiled or unboiled, your preference)
    - 28g Kanthal
    - Tweezers
    - Torch or lighter, but a torch is preferable, as it burns cleaner and hotter.

1.) Start your wrap around the drill bit.

    I did 12 wraps to achieve 1.8ohm

2.) Compress coil with tweezers. Heat with torch for a good 10 seconds. It should hold its' compressed state after cooling.

    Coil is ready to go.

3.) Insert coil back into the head. Just like Rixter showed, keep one lead outside of the insulator and one through the middle. That insulator is there to keep them from coming in contact with each other. Insert metal pin.

(Please refer to Rixters' tutorial for all the details, as this is just a quick look at the coil and wick.)

4.) Pull apart some cotton. Use a thin piece.

Roll cotton between fingers. You may find that licking or slightly wetting your fingers helps to roll it better.

5.) Insert cotton wick through coil. Trim off excess.

6.) Roll a similar piece and lay over the top of the coil. Add some drops of juice to saturate it.

7.) Pop the stem back on.

You are ready to roll. Flavor heaven awaits, and it should be easy to just replace the cotton when needed, without needing to remove the coil.

Please don't try this if you aren't sure about building coils yet.

I remember that day. I had no clue that twins ran in my family. Boy was I surprised, lol. Two of everything is right, but luckily I had identical girls, so they can mix and match. Get ready for the job of a lifetime. I'm an only parent with a full-time position in fathering, but it is well worth it and such a blessing. CONGRATS!!

Here's a hastily compiled tutorial (with pictures) to show you how to rebuild the heads for KPTs, EVODs, and various other BCC (bottom coil changeable) tanks.

In this tutorial, I will be making a 4/3 wrap of 32g Kanthal A-1 around a 3.5mm silica wick to achieve a 1.8Ω coil.

Break everything down to this point (just start pullin' stuff apart...you'll figure it out ).

Coil some Kanthal around a silica wick using a sewing needle as a support.

Place both leads through the housing until the wick and needle are as shown.

Bend one lead to the side, thread the bottom grommet onto the other lead, and slip it into the bottom of the housing.

Bend the other lead (the one you just threaded through the grommet) to the side and slide the bottom pin into the grommet.

Bend the excess leads of Kanthal back and forth (really fast) until they break off flush with the head.

    Remove the needle.

    Replace the top stem.

Trim off the excess silica (I use Chinese nail clippers).

    Replace the cup seal.

All you have to do now is install your freshly rebuilt head into your BCC tank's base and vape on!

Hope this was helpful...it works for me.

Oh, yeah...I almost forgot...always check your new rebuilds with a meter before using it!!!

When I'm done dry burning bottom coils, I add a drop of liquid on the coil and a drop on the flavor wick to prime it for use.
