  1. I agree, VT. I have teen kids, too, and unknown people sending them any kind of stuff, unless it's a college, would raise my Mom alarm, even if they are good kids that don't seem to be doing anything. Edit: What's a Boba?
  2. B said in the Davide thread that he ordered glass drip tips for his mini davides, and I'm THINKING of going that way, if they have more than 2 colors. That way I can still use color to differentiate my flavors, plus, glass won't stick to my lip if I'm outside vaping in the winter (like I would be while visiting some family members) if it's below freezing. I don't relish the idea of recreating the scene in a Christmas Story where the kid got his tongue stuck to the flagpole (lol, watching that scene still cracks me up, and I'm 39).
  3. I've been watching pbusari's reviews, and searching forums for information as well. Almost everything I looked at essentially told me that, aside from the scrolling word "resistance" on the Sigeli, that it's superior to the Smoketech, and much sturdier - like the difference between the screen withstanding being knocked over from standing up on your desk and knocked to it's side or being dropped from several feet. But I will look up GrimmGreen.
  4. Brian, I agree. Just like bcc's taste different from the generic top clearos, and probably all top clearos in general, the Davide blows away my Evods, which is why I have my main vape in that one (except for days like today, where I've vaped milk chocolate all day and can't seem to make an adjustment to any other flavor). And don't you know the switch isn't COMPLETE until you have all the tanks FILLED?
  5. Yeah, Howie's a major germaphobe, to the point of being OCD about it. There was a reason he didn't work for a while.
  6. A couple of weeks ago, we were in one of our local B&M shops. A woman came in with her stick battery (she had kind of pushed it together) and said the button keeps falling out of the hole. So the guy opens it up, and all the wires are broken. Then he takes a closer look at it. Oh no, she didn't just sit with it in her pocket, she sat with it in her BACK pocket. You could tell because of the crunches and stuff. But she was also being sort of aggressive to the people that were with her, so the guy just gave her a replacement and said keep it out of your pockets. She was still leaving the store saying she didn't do anything, it broke on it's own. Oh, another thing. I NEVER carry my phone in my back pocket. That's just asking for trouble, crunching it, plus butt dials. Plus, someone could ****** it easy.
  7. If he's REALLY hung up on not using a PV, wanting something that LOOKS like a cigarette, you could point him to the Blu e-cigarettes, but I've heard that you have to pull really strong to get what you want out of those, and that may just upset him, and make him go back to analogs.
  8. UNPUNCHED Carto? Why unpunched? I thought you had to have at least one punch to draw air into the carto, so you are actually drawing from the carto, and not the tank? Or something like that. Please enlighten me.
  9. Crap, had a whole reply typed out, didn't think of doing it in word, and then Firefox crashed and I lost the entry. Anyway, it's good to finally see a study that seems to study. The 2008 (?) study only study the Blu-type e-cig cartridges (different brand, but still the same). They only studied the CARTRIDGES, not a bottle of juice, and definitely not either the first hand vapor or the "second hand vapor". This is something I can present to my regular medical doctor, who was less than thrilled that I switched to the e-cigs, although she was glad that I was off the cancer sticks. I do realize they didn't study the affect nic has on the body, stand alone. But there is research out there about that. My goal is to slowly drop my nic levels until I'm at zero, but I still plan on vaping after that - it again provides the comfort of habit, just like the comfort of habits we relied on when we were smoking cancer sticks. (Just as an example, I've been so stressed out the last few days - oldest is getting ready to move to college - that I've tried to flick the ashes off my PV at least six times in two days.) Frankly, until my meds are completely straightened out for a time, no anxiety, no seizures, no brain skippy seizure like feelings, I estimate it might take me a year to drop down to zero nic.
  10. Does anyone know of any Vape meets that happen in the Bethalto/East Alton/Wood River area? I heard vaguely about one on some weekend a month with vague directions of its down there at this hotel, but not being from that city, I'm from a neighboring city, I actually need specifics to know where to go, how to find it, and when it is. Any help is appreciated.
  11. Okay, so how long is juice good if I keep it in a cool-ish dark place. The only place in the house cooler than where it is would be the basement, and I really don't want to have to go down there to get my juice. And hopefully it will be cooling off soon, so it won't get over 79 in the house anymore. I was going to ask the storage question tonight.
  12. Okay, I think that makes it official. In the next few weeks I'm going to be acquiring a few new flavors, plus samples. I need a freaking box. My one measly cabinet in the desk barely has room for the juice I keep there, thanks to the other stuff I have to keep there. I need a box. Maybe I can get one at the same time.
  13. Currently on regular starter knock off eGo batteries. A Davide with 618 with an extra flavor shot Four Evods. French Vanilla tobacco Sweet Tobacco Milk Chocolate Honey Wood In a few weeks, it'll be Sigeli ZMax mod, and everything will be Davide - 2 full sized Davides, and 4 mini Davides. Right now, I have an Evod for all those that I vape "regularly". It's too much of pain to me to switch out for flavors. I keep going back to give RY4 a try, and think if I vape on it long enough, it will grow on me, but it's just not enough flavor over the tobacco. I have a Turkish Honey Tobacco here in my desk that I haven't touched since I got these latest flavors in because the Turkish is a bit strong. The tester at the shop must not have been out very long (steeped), because the sampler wasn't this harsh, I liked the sampler. So for now, it sits in my cabinet, waiting until I decide to take it out again and give it a try. Going to pick up a couple new flavors in a few weeks, and order some sample packs off a couple websites, so the regulars will go in the Davides/mini-davides, and any samples or any flavor switching will be done in the Evods. Although I'm thinking of setting up one of the davide minis for inferno, but really I just prefer isolated hits off that when hubby's vaping it once in a while, usually at bedtime.
  14. As far as the drip tip, it feels a little wobbly when you are putting together, or putting it back together, but I've had no problems with it. The only problem I can foresee is if I'm somewhere in the winter where I have to go outside to vape, and the metal sticking to my lip.
  15. Brian, I THINK I'm going to end up replacing my egos with mini-davides, in all likelihood. I've read some bad reviews about the T3, and even pbusari is recommending Evod over the T3. I've heard about leaks, plasticky tasting, dry hits, etc. Right now, even with my evods, the only time I get problems with dry hits is when my eGo (or rather, knock of eGo) button is wonking out, insisting on being hit at a very specific angle to fire "correctly" (usually if somehow the center pin has dropped). Switching to a mini-Davide may also take care of the problems I'm having with my Fr Vanilla Tobacco lately, needing to rinse it out every second fill, and needing to leave the Evod standing to even hope of drawing it. The coil isn't gone, it's still heating normally. None of the other symptoms of a bad coil either, and no flooding or leaking. Oh sure, I tried it 15 minutes ago and was having issues with it, now it's working fine. But the problems I've had with it the last 1/2 week have led it from being my second most vaped juice, to going through 1/2 a cartomizer since Thursday. NOTE: It is now several hours after I wrote the above, and I've vaped almost the entire Evod through. I don't know what the issue was before, but now it seems to be working again.
  16. As far as my stockpile of juices, it's early days yet, but in my desk alone, I have honey wood, french vanilla tobacco, sweet tobacco, milk chocolate, and turkish honey tobacco (yeah, not too fond of that one). Then in hubby's desk we have bavarian cream (not fond of that one either, kinda tastes burnt), cherry flue tobacco (tolerable, but not fond of it, tastes like wood to me), RY4 (still not fond of that, again, too much tobacco, not enough flavoring), 618 with an extra flavor shot (my main vape) and I think inferno, but that one is hubby's - I'll take a hit from it from it now and then, but I haven't used a tank of it, although I might after I get my second davide. There are still more I want to order in sample packs or purchase for normal usage here in a few weeks. The sweet tobacco is growing on me, though I have to be able to vape it for more than a few hits in order for this to happen. Not gonna take a pic. My desk is a mess, and the dining room table is stacked full of stuff that needs to find a home, lol.
  17. You know, I'm the same way. Flavors I think I would love when I pick up the sampler (strawberry cheesecake, I love strawberry cheesecake, so I thought I would love the vape flavor - nope), I just can't stand for vaping. There are other flavors, too. I THINK, if I can get my almost aunt vaping again, if the other vaper in my house decides he doesn't like the RY4, or the sweet tobacco, I may see if she likes those, and hand those off to her. It's not that the sweet tobacco is bad, it's just....well, I prefer in my tobacco flavors that the other flavors outweigh the tobacco flavoring, and I think this is too strong on the tobacco and not strong enough on the sweet, and I'm not sure if getting more VG in it rather than PG will do enough to help it.
  18. bcarter, do the coils last shorter or longer, do you think, than the evods? Just wondering, because I currently have evods, was thinking of switching to the T3S for the tanks that I don't replace with Davides, but if the coils need replaced more often, then I might as well not. With my evods, I've only had to replace one coil since I got them, and I got most of them between Jul 27th and about a week before. And the one I had to replace, I think was a fluke, because it was on the second fill (and neither was a full fill). Okay, I did replace one other, but that was because while dry firing it to dry the wick out after rinsing it to switch flavors, I dry fired it too much, and burned the wick. Those were August 1 and 2nd. Granted, those two tanks I haven't been hitting as hard as one of my other Evods, but two of my evods I spend a lot of time per day on, and even more since we essentially ran out of the 618 custom blend, and have to wait for the new batch to steep for a few more days (I get an extra flavor shot in it).
  19. Well, it says in the article, she was told by the place she purchased it from she could use any charger....and I bet that's just what she did, not the charger for that specific e-cig. There are all sorts of warnings, at least on the vendor websites when you go to the info on the PV, it will say specifically what charger has to be used. If she went to a shop and they told her that? Well, they are idiots, and she may have a case for small claims court for repairs. Our safe use of these products is only as good as the information we are given. So if someone is told that such and such a battery will work on x mod, and in truth, it doesn't, and then it has a problem, shorts, explodes, etc., then we received bad information. Same if we are told we can charge a stick battery on any charger, as in this case, when it requires a specific charger. Some people just take the info they get for granted, and don't do the research.
  20. Our shop/online store (Better Vapes) makes Inferno that I like. Sort of like Atomic fireballs a bit, I think. But it DOES numb your taste buds. They also have a cinnamon roll or cinnamon bun (yes, I know you said none of that) that on sample I really liked.
  21. ROFL, that's why I always follow up the device name with "e-cig" in google when I do a search. Otherwise, look at the results you get when you do a search on Zmax. I can't remember if it's an additive for a car, or a tire, but you'd have to weed through all of that to get to what you want. Yeah, I'm sure there are a few mods that share a name with adult toys, lol.
  22. Yeah, after watching the review, I pretty much ruled the SiD out. There were some things I didn't like it, but the difficulty reading the display was one of them. I'm wondering if vendor sites intentionally weed out the negative consumer reviews that are posted on the page for the product, because I never saw a negative consumer comment on it, but maybe I was looking in the wrong place. Yeah, I read somewhere else it's not as safe to stack batteries. If I use it in telescoping mode, I was planning on just using the longer battery, rather than stacking batteries. It's not like I'm often away from home for long periods of time where I would be vaping a lot, you know, it's not like I go to work or school, but I would prefer the extended battery life, hopefully lasting 24 hours rather than the 8 I get right now, or "most of the day" that other vapers I know get.
  23. I may end up doing this, over time. Depends on how many flavors I decide on to keep running at once, or how many tanks I want for "trying flavors out". I do know I want two more - it's a pain in the tookas to have to refill the EVOD's so often when I'm vaping out of them all day, as much as I hit the vape. Although tonight is going to be.....interesting. It's going to be the first time since I started that I have spent a significant amount of time indoors where I couldn't, or shouldn't vape (because several people at the party have asthma, and I don't want to take any chances....don't want this party ruined on my account), so being there three hours, I can see going outside regularly to vape, particularly if I start to have anxiety, as I tend to do around a lot of people I don't know. The family reunion last week was fine, because I knew everyone there, plus I was outside almost the whole time, so I could his the VP anytime I wanted to, lol. I just probably need to take extra fluid, or all my EVODs, just in case I vape enough to get one to nearly empty, and I either need a refill, or need to switch flavors, since I'm very nearly almost out of what I have in Davide, except for some juice that still needs to steep, as it was just mixed two days ago. I don't want to switch flavors out on that Davide, because right now, that is my majority of the day vape, and I don't want to switch flavors out just to have to switch it back in a couple of days. That brings me to a question that arose last night. My french vanilla tobacco, last night it was, well, it wasn't close to empty, but as I was going upstairs, I topped it off before I was going to go up. Previous to topping it off, it was fine, it was drawing fine, although one time several days ago it was drawing too tight, and I had to rinse the Evod out, but last night it was fine, until I topped it off. THEN, it was back to drawing tight again. I decided I would let it sit overnight before I figured out if it just needed rinsed out again, or if it needed the coil changed. Now, granted, this is a 50/50 mix, and most of the flavors we have aren't - they are weighted one way or the other. But I got up this morning, tried it out about 45 minutes ago, and now it's drawing fine again. Anyone have a clue what it could be?
  24. @joe2003, I haven't been able to watch the review yet. Busy day, and I've been watching other reviews as well. I will shortly. On the Smoketech Zmax review, I saw that one of the KangerTech T3S didn't work with the Smoketech Zmax, without, I guess, and adapter. Does anyone know if they work with the Sigeli? Because I was going to replace my EVOD's with those, because of the lighting in here, I have problems seeing the fluid levels in them through the little bitty windows on the side, in addition to adding a couple of Davides to my collection. Probably replace half of my EVODS with Davides (so, 2) and get the three pack of the T3S. EDIT: But wait, can you replace the coils on the T3S? I need to double check that. I think you can.
