  1. I'm actually finding the holes not all that hard to hit with the regular squeeze bottle nipples.
  2. have Bipolar, but haven't had a manic in too long to remember, possibly about 8 or 9 years ago, the majority of the time it's major depression and generalized anxiety - but it was enough to get me disability before my MS got so bad (other than affecting my typing), along with the back pain my OTHER medical condition put me through. Took me years to get over the PTSD, and I still sometimes have hairy moments with it, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel, Christie. Yeah, I'm thinking once I use up my supplies, as I replace the flavors, I'll go with a 14 or a 12 nic level. Other than the anxiety, I haven't noticed any of the "traditional" symptoms of overuse of nicotine. Well, I get dizzy spells, but my MS has been acting up lately, and I think that's more a function of that, not the nicotine. Well, I don't know about other people, but the drip didn't clear my stuffy nose up at all. It just dripped on its own. My sorta stuffy nose cleared on its own after a few days off the analogs.
  3. I'm guessing you are male, since you didn't mention a purse. Let's face it, I don't leave the house a lot. So when I do, even though for right now all I have is the starter eGo stick battery, all I need to take is the one, so I stick that in outside pocket of my purse. Say, at a family member's house, or a family function, my shorts or capris (except for one pair of capris and possibly one pair of shorts - I haven't tried those shorts yet), I can tuck it into my pocket without worrying about breaking it. This may change once I'm able to get my Zmax. If I'm not going to be out long, and will only need the one stick battery, then that's how I do it. If I'm going to be out longer, or if I might possibly want to vape more than one flavor, I'll put the rest of the stuff into my eGo zipper case that I got when I bought the starter kit,and put it in my purse (purses come in handy). OR, if it's just a second flavor tank, like one of my EVOD tanks, I may just put the the tank in the outside pocket of my purse as well, but I'm not as fond of doing that, because I don't want to get lint or anything in the head. But I have more options since I'm a girl.
  4. First off, how do you inhale/exhale. I never really have done much lung inhales on my PV, what I've been doing mostly is inhaling it into my mouth, then taking the rest of my breath in through my nose, and either exhaling through my mouth or nose. Except I've noticed, depending on VG content, I think, that sometimes when I exhale through my nose, my nose drips. Do any of you go for the lung inhale? And do you exhale from your mouth or nose? There was almost an instructional post on the ECF newbie forums about vaping, inhalation/exhalation, and it basically said since it's water vaper, it's not as easy to take into your lungs, but if you inhale it to your mouth, and exhale through your nose (which is what they recommended) you still absorb the same amount of nicotine through the mucous membranes, if not more. And please forgive me, but I can't remember the answer to this question. Is PG the vapor or the flavor? Reason I asked is because the sample pack we ordered is 25% PG, and 75% VG, and of the flavors I've tried and vaped (other than the Cherry flue), on the RY4, and the honey wood, the flavor is kind of muted, but I'm wondering is it the PG, or are they supposed to be like that? Finally, I noticed that I'm vaping more than I actually smoked, I think. Right now, I'm vaping at 18 mg nic. I have anxiety anyway, and granted, I'm going through med changes that possibly COULD impact my anxiety levels (I'm not sure, though, I'll have to call my doc), but I'm wondering if because I'm hitting the 18 mg harder than what I smoked light cigarettes under normal circumstances (ie, not alone, smoking when hubby smoked) if maybe that's contributing to my very much increased anxiety? Anyone have any thoughts? Should I drop down a nic level once my supplies are depleted, or would that just cause me to vape even more to make up for the lessened nic level? I THINK that's all my questions, other than my other post, for now. If not, you'll be hearing from me.
  5. Forgive me, but I'm going to be making a couple different posts here within a few minutes. I've pretty much narrowed down my mod search to the Zmax. The SiD that I WAS looking at is 510 threaded only, does not accept eGo threading without an adapter, and I don't want to have to deal with an adapter. Plus, I can't find whether the voltage is RMS or Mean. So I have two questions, really. Both of the Zmax manufacturers have the telescoping option. Is this just so you can get longer battery life, having two batteries in there? Or does that mean you can dial the voltage/wattage higher with with two batteries? Also, final question (and the reason for writing this post to begin with), I've been doing SOME research. Like I said earlier in the post, I've narrowed it down to the Smoketek Zmax or the Sigeli Zmax (I hope I spelled that right). I'm just not sure which. I'm not seeing much of a difference between them, except one of the reviews I read said the Sigeli is more durable when being knocked/dropped (and I'm a MASSIVE klutz), and the fact that the SmokeTek has an LED display, the Sigeli has an OLED, and on the Sigeli v2, on the screen, some words won't fit entirely on the screen, and the word resistance is long enough that it has to scroll. I know for the Sigeli, if you want to use it in telescoping mode (v. 2), you have to get a different end cap to allow the second battery to fit. I don't know if that is the case with the SmokeTech. Okay, and this is stupid, but one plus for the SmokeTech is that it comes in different colors, lol. I've only seen two things that directly compare the Sigeli to the SmokeTech, and one on review, it was firmly Sigeli, and one thread (not a review) on ECF, most of it was Sigeli, but there were those that preferred the SmokeTech. I looked at the pbusardo review of the Sigeli that I could find, but it seemed to mostly compare the v2 with the v1. Also, if I go with the Sigeli, would you recommend v2 or v3? Are the ONLY differences the two line display and the lack of need for a different end cap for telescoping mode? Just the two line display has me leaning toward v3, but I'm not sure if I would be using the second battery option.
  6. Oh, oh, oh! I forgot to tell you, the last few days, once I had the confidence to try it again (despite the problems/pain in my thumb), I've been able to get the Davide open to put the fluid in. It makes it more convenient, because my hubby is the only one who can drive in the house right now (I can't drive anymore),so you can imagine all the running he's doing, plus he's busy with other stuff, so I just pop over to where the juice is and add it myself. Plus, if I want to add my Fr. Vanilla tobacco to it, I can, without having to guess how much to tell him. I do have to say, we have to buy bigger bottles of the flavors we share. Got a 22 ml bottle of 618 plus an extra flavor shot. I think it's lasted maybe a week and half? Picking up a 50 ml bottle of the same stuff today, but it was just mixed yesterday, so it's got to steep, which means that I need to get a smaller bottle of the regular stuff (hopefully it's not been mixed recently enough to need to be steeped). Although we have a sample bottle of RY4 (actually 2) that we ordered that I wasn't REAL fond of, because the flavors (vanilla and caramel) were so low - I can add the fr vanilla to it so it actually gets used.
  7. Yeah, I had heard that cinnamon, like menthol flavoring, can numb your taste buds. Oh man, that sounds so good it has my mouth watering.
  8. Sorry, Victory Tank. Wouldn't let me edit my post.
  9. Have you noticed there are just some patterns of flavors you can't go from one to the other - you have to have something more middle ground in between? For example, I was vaping my french vanilla tobacco, which is actually pretty rich, earlier today, for most of the afternoon and evening. I tried to switch to my milk chocolate, which isn't a tobacco flavor, isn't as rich, but is much sweeter, and I couldn't do it. I ended up switching to my 618 blend for a while. After vaping the 618 for a while, then I was able to make the switch to the milk chocolate. I think this explains why some days/nights I can't find a flavor that sits right with me after switching flavors. I guess I try to go from one extreme end of the spectrum to another, and end up dissatisfied for a while - but at least while that's happening I'm hitting it less. I'm starting to get worried that I'm hitting it too often. Not having the side effects that smoking too much would give me, but used to be, hubby and I would smoke at the same time, and my anxiety and pain issues, if I was by myself, and was having those issues, if they were there, I would smoke - too much. Well, I've always been the heaviest smoker, at least the last several years. But that's soooo off topic.
  10. I live near St. Louis, and there are a couple B&M shops over there, but within 10 - 20 minutes of my house, on this side of the river, there are two B&M shops. One opened up because they saw a "hole" on this side of the river as far as B&M shops, figured people didn't want to drive all the way over to St. Louis County to get their juice, and opened up shop. They get the biggest chunk of their juice from Better Vapes. Better Vapes has been online ABOUT two years. They JUST (about three weeks ago) opened up a storefront the other direction from us. Not sure if the owners of the one shop knew that Better Vapes was opening up their storefront or not. Since Better Vapes has the online store, their prices are consistent with online pricing, with the bonus that you can custom order, and go in and pick it up. You also aren't limited to PG/VG percentage that they have in stock, like the other store (which is the other store is usually 50/50), and they have a wider selection of juices, and if they don't have any of the online flavor juices on hand, they can mix it up on the spot, you just have to wait for it to steep. Plus, getting the Better Vapes juice from their shop, of course, is cheaper than going to the shop that orders the juice from them (about $2 difference for a 22 ml bottle, and the other store doesn't stock the smaller bottles). Most of the time, unless we just need something quick, I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Better Vapes. The other store has more flavors to sample, but most of them, again, are Better Vapes products.
  11. Okay, so I'm going to be in the market shortly for a new set up to replace the stick eGo batteries that came with my starter kit. I have some questions. My goal is to get away from the stick batteries altogether, get something with rechargeable batteries, and possibly variable. I know either variable voltage or variable wattage is desirable. I also know that it can be set if you adjust one, the other automatically adjusts. First off, what are the benefits of both variable voltage and variable wattage? What benefits are there to each, and why would someone choose one over the other? I'm asking about being able to set on or another simply because I don't want to get too complicated. I want to set it to where I like it, and vape. I'm assuming, from what I've been able to find so far (sorry, my google-fu on this subject is weak) that I may want different wattages or different voltages for different juices? This is one that I was looking at: http://www.myvaporstore.com/SMOKTech_SID_Ecig_Mod_Variable_Volt_Watt_s/122.htm I also saw in the Marketplace the ZMax, which runs a bit more expensive....but does it have the option of adjusting one, and the other automatically adjusting? Anyway, thanks in advance. I'm just trying to figure out which I would be better off getting.
  12. Okay, next obvious question, what's a victory tip?
  13. Only had 1 go bad so far (and that was after 2 refills), but it was gurgling enough that I couldn't get much out of it. Hadn't started leaking yet, though, got on the forums and got my question answered and got it changed out.
  14. Yeah. I got everything but the VT. What's VT?
  15. If you try again, and break out again, I would try a different brand, not just a different flavor. It could be something in how that brand is made up.
  16. I would be lost without my Nook. Especially now, for some reasons some of the smaller fonts are giving me hell to read in real books. Nook books generally you don't get that small of a font. I guess with my eyes, I'm right between needing a bifocal and not (more like right between whether the insurance would pay for a bifocal lens or not), so for some small stuff I actually have to take my glasses OFF to read (like sometimes the writing on the small freaking sample bottles) and there is some I just can't read at all, with or without my glasses. I'm 39, getting older sucks. At least, it doesn't appear to have anything to do with my MS, so I'm assuming it's getting older, lol. Plus, with my Nook, I can read at night after hubby's turned out the light if I so desire. We have bookshelves all over the downstairs, and one wall of built in bookshelves in the bedroom....well, I can use SOME of the bookshelves down here, most of it is full of other stuff, but my half of the shelves in the bedroom are full, doubled, and sometimes tripled (books stacked on top of the double row of books). Plus over 300 e-books. But I usually didn't order book books. I would have hubby or someone drive me to Barnes and Noble or Borders, or Books a Million now. Total PITA since I can't drive. But I preferred browsing the bookshelves, since I would often go in and find a book I wasn't looking for, but ended up wanting anyway when I saw it displayed, or on the sale table. :P I even convinced my mother to join the e-book revolution, except she got a Kindle, which means that we can't share books, lol. But Mom and Dad have even less book storage space than we do. Most books, if Mom and Dad had finished reading them, would go into circulation amongst us kids, and end up landing permanently there. We have boxes upon boxes of books to be sold at various peoples' garage sales, where they didn't get sold, and why sell them to a second hand dealer when you only get in store credit, and you don't buy actual books anymore? Except for things like cookbooks (not that cookbooks do me any good), I do, and a few certain other things - reference books, and I won't find them in a second hand book store. As far as the tanks, I'm likely going to get a second Davide shortly, and then probably a new battery thing soon as well.
  17. Had not thought about that, and well, really didn't have time to think about it, I guess. We just got it Friday, and the tank's only been opened once a day since then - I see him topping his own tank off and I just hand him mine and ask him to open mine up.
  18. Which carries the vapor, and which carries the flavor? I can never keep them straight.
  19. So I was talking to my almost aunt yesterday at a family reunion. She's tried going with e-cig route three times. The first time was with a Blue, and I've heard bad things about that system, so I didn't blame her for failing with that. The second time was with an eGo, like the one I have, and part of it, I think is she never hit the sweet spot with the nicotine level that she was comfortable with, plus a flavor that she found that she liked, but she also would get a sore throat every time she hit off the vape. So I was wondering what could cause that sore throat? She couldn't remember where she had gotten it, and the eGo she's since given to her son, but she still has the Blue or the third system she tried (she didn't say much about that), so once we get the sore/dry throat issue figured out, we'll be able to get her started up with that third system should she want to. But any ideas on the sore throat?
  20. I have the regular sized one. I love it, although hubby has to open it up to more juice in it for me because I have some dexterity issues, and the one ring you have to unscrew to open it to add juice is at most, 1/2 the height of the ring underneath it, which holds the whole thing together. Tried to open it myself to add a couple of drops of vanilla to to mix, and ended up with half a tank of custom made 618 all over me, so hubby and I laughingly agreed that opening that tank was his job from now on. But I think that's just from disability thing, I don't think it's a problem with people who don't have issues with their fingers, lol. I love it, though, and I love the fact that it's glass, and that I can actually SEE how much juice is left, unlike with my Evod bcc tanks, where if the juice is anywhere close to clear, or not in perfect light, it's kind of iffy to tell through that tiny sliver of a window that they have. We got the tank because after hubby starts school, depending on what his schedule looks like when it's completed, there's a chance that not only will he be gone long enough that I would be through at least one Evod tank full, but that he might take the juice bottle with him during the day, so I needed one with a large enough capacity to last me through to when he had a long enough break between classes that he felt it was worth the gas to drive home.
  21. Love, I broke down yesterday at my family reunion and had 2 analogs. The first one, well, I thought and thought about it before we went there, a good chunk of the family smokes, all analogs. So I sat down next to my almost aunt (uncle's gf - he's been married three times and he's turning the corner around 70 this month, so I doubt he'll take a 4th trip up the aisle) and had one of hers to get it out of the way, figuring I'd be good for the rest of the day. And for the most part I was. But toward the end of the day, my pain was higher, and I just wanted another one, so I got one from my dad. No, I'm not resetting my quit counter over it, because it was only 2 within about 5 hours (although today a few times I've gone back to having the bigger urges for the analog), but I can understand how sometimes your wife feels, especially after talking to my almost aunt. She's tried three different kinds of e-cigs. Well, one was the Blue - and the vape shops I've been in don't really think highly of those, and I told her about that, but one was the ego, like I have, and she just couldn't find the right kind of flavor juice to make her happy, I think, other than another issue she had with it.
  22. I don't know about nicotine inducting hiccups, but nicotine can definitely induce heartburn. As a matter of fact, one of the first pieces of advice they give chronic heartburn/GERD sufferers is to quit smoking, because it relaxes the pyloric sphincter (I think that's what that one is called). My GI doc finally gave up telling me to stop smoking. As for hiccups, I may be the exception to the rule, or maybe I only noticed this when it happened in my favor, but smoking would actually HELP my hiccups - to the point that I frequently lit a cigarette BECAUSE I had the hiccups (and for those of you that have never done it, hiccuping while inhaling is nasty).
  23. Really? No one? One thing that did impress me while I was in their storefront yesterday picking up supplies - I was talking to one person who worked there, and a woman came in and talked to another person that worked there - she held forward her starter battery (I THINK it was a starter battery) and clearomizer, and said the the button keeps falling out, and it won't work. He pretty much knew what happened, but for show, he opened it up, and all the wires were broken on the inside. He never asked her, never confronted her, just replaced the item, but he showed it to us, and it looked EXACTLY like she had stuck it in a pocket, probably her back pocket, and sat down, probably sat down ON it. But to keep peace, and keep good customer relations, he replaced it anyway. Also, when they were taking longer than they had said they were going to take making the custom order 618 blend, since we were almost out of the regular 618 blend, they threw in a free bottle of that to tide us over. I don't know how their online division is, but I would definitely recommend the storefront shop to anyone in Alton/Jerseyville (where their shop is located), Godfrey, etc. area. My only issue is a few days ago I mentioned possibly getting them to mix up some samplers of a few flavors. By the time I came in Thursday, they hadn't mixed them up, the policy was basically if it wasn't a standard sampler flavor, to not mix it up until someone asks for it, because it's several flavors combined. Well, they got the samples mixed up for me yesterday, but as they told me, it will taste different after it's steeped for a few days. I don't know if if it's from the lack of steeping time, but most of THOSE samples I didn't like, but we'll be going in this coming week to pick up some stuff we forgot to pick up yesterday, and pick up some more 618 (long story, see my post on bump this whenever you buy something new). 3D is okay, but can't mix up the special orders, and some of their staff are hit or miss - some are good, while some rubbed me the wrong way - but they've only been open a short time, and they have no online presence, so their employees (except the owners) haven't been associated with the business prior to being hired/opening. Yeah, they are all vapers, but some don't come across as really, um, customer service minded?
