  1. Okay, I have to ask this....I've covered one of the Davide holes with tape (okay, hubby did) and it stuck this time. And the draw is still too airy. So I'm going to have to tape up the second one. So I have to ask, which has the tighter draw, the pro tank 2, or the davide? Want to figure out which before I order 5 more davides and have to tape them up. I guess I should clarify that. Sometimes, the airy flow doesn't matter (and this could be a problem with the knock off stick battery) but sometimes it really does. But the stick button, sometimes, if you push it at the wrong angle, doesn't really respond right, doesn't fire the coil completely, I don't think.
  2. Hubby knew I did, so no point lying about. Just sitting AROUND my sister while she smoked wouldn't have made me smell of smoke as much. And I probably still had smoke on my breath even though it had been around three hours since I had one of my sisters. I tell you, when I was a smoker - not all that long ago - I HATED menthol analogs. I would take one if I was out, and menthol was the only thing that anyone around me had, but I wasn't fond of it. LIke smoking a regular cigarette with a peppermint into your mouth, except the flavor followed past your mouth is what I called it. Well, it's a good thing I hit cigarettes off my sister and her menthol, because I'm so used to flavored, the menthol tobacco was, um, tolerable? I almost kinda liked it. But I've tried menthol tobacco flavors, menthol flavors, peppermint, spearmint, etc. juices, and found them gross. So my brief foray into the Kingdom of Kool cigarettes was just that, a brief foray, and I won't be picking up any Kewl flavored juice, lol, as far as I know. But THE single most stressful situation is over with, with an outcome better what we predicted (okay, my side of the family tends to be pessimistic). So I've started a new counter. The VT counter doesn't count beginning the hour you had your last analog, but your first day without an analog...so it's off by maybe, 12 hours, lol. But I won't quibble about that.
  3. B, I figured as much, but since I've never actually taken the tip off ON PURPOSE, I wasn't sure. And my sister's such a nervous driver on the St. Louis Highways, it would have freaked the sh*t out of her and we would have wrecked. That would be great, wrecking my mom's brand new car on the way to visit my mom in the hospital with completely blocked femoral artery. (She's had 2 femoral bypasses in that leg before, and the vein mapping they did last night showed no more veins that they could harvest (because she's had bypasses on almost everything you can bypass), so our only hope is that they can remove the clot. NOTE: As I finished the last sentence, my Dad called. They were able to clean out the bypass, get the clot out, she's out of surgery (so, two and half hours of surgery). She's doing good! So half my stress is over. But I am resetting my quit counter, since I smoked anyway.
  4. Yeah. So, still only finding one place that has both the Sigeli Zmax v3, the Davide, and the mini-davides. Does anyone know of any other suppliers other than Discount Vapers that does? I can understand hubby's feelings, he doesn't want to pay a bunch of different shipping charges. As it is, I have to find some place else to try and get flavor samples from.
  5. VT Store/Market Place doesn't carry the Zmax. Hubby wants to try to get everything from one vendor....and not many vendors carry the Davides yet, so far I've only gotten one place that carries both the Sigeli Zmax AND the David.
  6. Okay, I should change my answer on the Davide drip tip thing. In the car, I was going to switch out my flavor juices, which I had in my eGo case, and for some reason I grabbed it by the tip and pulled up on it. Tip came out, but no leakage at the time, thank goodness. Think my mom, sick as she is, still would've been pissed if I'd spilled 618 juice all over the interior of her 3 week old car.
  7. Went ahead and ordered a 36 ml bottle of honey wood and Irish Creme from Chi-Town Vapors today. Since I hit it so hard over the weekend (the honey wood), and it was just a sample size (10 mg), it went pretty quickly. Can't wait for them to get here and steep, and I wanna see what the Irish Creme tastes like!
  8. You're telling me. With my order of 1 full sized Davide and 4 mini davides, I'm ordering 5 drip tips. I desperately need a box to fit all my stuff in when it gets here. I'm just doing different colors so I can 1 flavor assigned per color tip. Shoot, do I need to order 0-rings for those, or do they come with? I forgot?
  9. I'm ordering 2.2 ohm protank coils for replacement coils for my Davide, and the Davides I'm going to get in the next few weeks.
  10. Today wasn't the long day I was expecting, they ran more tests, including vein mapping, trying to get more options, hoping to avoid the nuclear option. Looks like she's going to have SOME type of surgery tomorrow, we just aren't sure which. I went there with my sister today (before we found out she wasn't having surgery), and I did good, just had about 1/2 of one of her analogs, and the only thing that didn't keep me from coughing it out was the menthol flavoring....'cause at least it had some flavoring, lol. And I HATE menthol! But when I go up tomorrow, hubby will be taking me after he's moved oldest son into college (about 20 minutes from here). And wow, I just found the perfect flavor to flavor transition! Was vaping my honey wood with just a touch of turkish honey tobacco, and switched over to my 618, which wasn't doing it for me this morning, and the transition was prefect. Sometimes I have trouble going from some flavors to others.
  11. Yeah, phone charger, anxiety pills (already had one today), pain pills (and all the pills that go with it), ALL of vaping stuff except for the 618 (since we share that), and I may go with my old tried and true trick of adding a shot of fr vanilla tobacco to the 618 to sweeten it up a bit. Depends on how the day goes. Oh, and I have my nook, too. And a jacket, because it's freaking freezing in that surgical waiting room Oh, and don't call us superstitious - we were so cold when my dad had his surgery 4 years ago, we got a shawl to keep us warm. It's come iwth the family every surgery, so we're swinging by mom and dad's to pick up.
  12. As a follow up, what do you guys vape when you are stressed? After going through an evod full of milk chocolate and one of french vanilla, and one of honey wood/turkish honey tobacco, tried going to my davide with the 618 in it. Even with 1 piece of tape it's still a pretty airy pull after coming off the evods, and the 618 is a fairly light flavor.
  13. Love2, I wasn't talking to you, goof, but to the OP! With almost 80 hours off analogs, I'm pretty sure you know how deal with the juices, plus you do some DIY stuff, don't you?
  14. What I'll likely do, if I'm going to be there all day, I think, is take my charger with me. If she has her surgery tonight, she'll be in intensive care by the time I get there, if what is most likely to happen happens. So we'll be in a waiting room most of the time. So, I'll be taking my nook, taking all of my vaping mats, and hoping for the best. If she's not in ICU, well, I can plug it in there instead of in the wall of the ICU waiting room.
  15. Also, make sure you are shaking your bottle up before you fill your tank. What I do is shake the juice bottle, open it, and then open my tank and start dropping it in.
  16. Um, I don't want to share exactly what this stressful situation is, but it's likely I'm going to be at the hospital all day and a family member is going through a massive health crisis. This is when I would be chain smoking analogs, can anyone give me any hints to help avoid this? As it is, provided I can get a ride to the hospital tomorrow (it's in St. Louis), I'll be taking my davide, plus all my evods and all the flavors I keep in my cabinet with me, plus both my sticks....(please don't let both my batteries go dead on me, they''ve been screwing up today).
  17. Today I started out with 618 from our local shop, and now I've switched over to Honey Wood from Chi-Town and added a little bit of the Turkish Honey tobacco that I bought, and wasn't fond of, but mixing the two together makes it okay. Truthfully, I can't find a brand on it, but it's supposed to be "premium brand" - that store only had 30 ml for $18, and it stamped with my city and state on it...except the store where I bought it is not in my city, there is not an e-juice company in my city, and I can't trace down the flavor on the web, either. Not sure what I'll move on to later in the day.
  18. Well, what I did today was fill my honey wood evod up mostly with honey wood, then add, I don't know, a little bit of the turkish honey. Well, you can still taste the turkish tobacco, but it's tolerable this way, so as long a I keep a good enough supply of the honey wood on hand (or another honey flavor that I find and like, or maybe just buy some stand alone honey flavoring and add it to the turkish honey), I should be good to finish the turkish. Never buying it again, though. Shouldn't have to add another juice in just to make a juice passable.
  19. Okay, lemme change my last answer. For a 22 ml bottle, the Better Vapes store front charges $8. The other store, which purchases their juice FROM Better Vapes' online store, charges $10 for the same sized bottle, and I'm not sure they carry larger bottles except the premium brands. At Better Vapes (which the store front prices are identical to their web prices), I think we paid, maybe $13 - 15 for a 50 ml bottle? Something around that. Sorry, just checked the website and it was $17 for a 50 ml size. But I've learned my lesson NOT to buy hardware at either store, they are overpriced, and 3D, the store we originally went to, actually ended up selling us eGo 900 mah starter kit knock offs. I'm not sure if they know it or not, but they have to be wondering why they can get it cheaper than their competitors across the river. Davides, for example, the full sized ones, are three or four dollars more at Better Vapes (both storefront and their website), for example. I haven't priced the mini-Protanks, and they carry Zmax, but the SmokeTech Zmax, not the Sigeli, which is what I'm buying, so I didn't even price those, but I would imagine they are more expensive. Okay, strike that, I THINK they carry Zmax in the store front, but they don't on the website. They carry starter kits and stick batteries on their website, but he ONLY VV that they have on their website is with the stick batteries (one of the eGos with 2 different color choices).
  20. I can SORT OF understand this. I'm going through a stressful week (son is leaving for college), and I find myself wishing for that cancer stick - not for the nicotine, but for the, I guess, comfort it provides. I won't get any, but I find myself doing the psychological urge for one. Of course, if I had one, I would pretty much be chain smoking right now - which is close to what I'm doing while I'm vaping, right now - which is another reason to drop the nicotine level a step, since I'm getting more nicotine than I ever was while smoking, since I shared a pack with hubby, and it was pretty much when he smoked, I smoked, unless I was up without him, or home alone, and then, depending on how I felt, I came close to chain smoking. Cigarettes, and now vaping, are a piss poor way to deal with chronic anxiety/panic attacks/stress and chronic pain, but that's what it's come down to. My question is, though, if you lower the nic level, does that alter the taste. Because I swear this 618 at 18 mgs tastes different than the 24 mgs we started out at (because that's all that shop had in stock).
  21. I totally understand, b. Just looking at what my b&m store charges for hardware - $4 extra for the full sized Davide ON SALE (and they don't carry MUCH hardware at all). I think we'll still end up buying certain things from them, but I think other stuff, especially hardware, is going to be online only. I know you normally buy hardware from Discount Vapors, but is there anyplace else you buy hardware from?
  22. Discount Vapes has the whole kit and caboodle that I want to order (I went through and picked out everything and put in a cart), except for drip tips for $238.10. Six dollars for shipping, but they only use USPS, so it would be priority mail. Granted, I can't actually put in my order yet, and still need to decide where I'm going to get my drip tips from, but is this as good as it gets? That's for 1 Sigeli, 2 18650's, 4 18350's (in case I decide to stack them), a charger, a full sized Davide, four mini davides, extra 2.2 coils. Not sure where I'm going to get my drip tips from yet, though. So, any other spots I should be looking for all the hardware all in one place? EDIT: Well, okay, I may end up modifying the order, so that will take about $15 off of it, eliminating the possibility of stacked batteries and just going with the 18650.
  23. $14.50 for DHL delivery service (5 - 7 business days, supposedly), and they can't ship batteries. That's JUST for the Zmax, no charger or anything else.
