  1. Saw that sitting on their sample counter and skipped over it. I'm thinking we might make a trip there this weekend, so I might have to check it out.
  2. I would, but...I mean, I like the draw from hubby's carto, but I want to stick with what I know for a while. I've had very few problems with the products I'm currently using, and now I know, when the draw starts to get too airy on the Davide, that means it's time for a new coil if it keeps up. So now, actually, I'm still unsure if I'm going to even try the PT2, or just go ahead and make my order with 5 Davides. Let's see, should be getting paid Friday, so I'm sure we'll hit the vape shop Saturday....
  3. I myself started with a nicotine level that was supposed to be equivalent to what I smoked - 24 mg. Then I dropped after about 2 weeks to 18 mg, except one of the flavor samples I ordered a couple of weeks ago was 15, and I've re-ordered that at a 15 as well. Getting ready to drop my other flavors to 16 or 14, depending on what the shops I got them at have in stock - they only carry 16 or 14, they don't carry 15.
  4. It's ALMOST an expected side effect. Both PG and VG are dessicants, so they dry you out. So if you vape before going to bed, it's expected to wake up with cotton mouth. I did before, but it's gotten worse since I started vaping. My fluid consumption outstrips even my youngest son now, which of course, runs right through me. I thought of starting to drink things like Gatorade, but as far as I know, it's just eliminate water from where it's exposed to, not like what you lose through a sweating or vomiting session - electrolytes. Not to be crude, but too much water, well, makes it come back up with me, so I generally have to alternate between water and diet soda, and yeah, the water here tastes pretty terrible, and I just CAN'T see plunking down money on bottled water, so generally, soda wins out, lol.
  5. I THINK that's what convinced hubby to as well, as well as my definite need/doctor's orders to quit. Tried quitting all the other ways, and the anxiety was bad enough (at least in the last 8+ years) that I didn't make it past 24 hours with the patch, the gum, OR the lozenge, and forget about cold turkey. So I called the guy at the shop that just opened up, convinced hubby that other than the start up cost, in long run, once we settle on our flavors, and get our APV's (hubby has his, mine will be ordered when I get paid) and stuff we want to keep around, that maybe $100 a month in juice is a heck of a lot cheaper than two cartons a week (and since we smoked Edgefieilds, class C cigarettes, and got them at a cigarette discount store, it was only like $25 per carton, but still, it adds up.
  6. I haven't tried it in businesses yet, but I've only been INSIDE of two non-vape stores since starting, other than the venue where the graduation/going away party was, and I didn't do it inside there because there were a couple people with asthma there, and I'd never vaped in a closed room with them, or even inside with them, so I didn't want to risk it and cause an asthma attack that would ruin the party (these are people that I've learned, over the years, start wheezing from a normal perfume application). As for homes, I usually ask. Well, at the family reunion, I didn't ask my cousin, hubby just automatically said don't do it in the house, and I haven't asked at someone else's house that I've been to a few times because, again, a history of hospitalizing asthma, so I didn't want to take any chances, and have her husband mad at me for it. My mom's house? I can vape in, while my father can't smoke in it! (I still can't believe he's still smoking 13 years after mom quit and made him start smoking outside. He did quit smoking for a couple months...but then he had a massive health scare, like close to death, and I think the fear after getting out the hospital from that, even though he still had aspiration pneumonia, led him to pick up the analogs again. Either that, or he gave into the urge to smoke when he was out with friends and didn't have his lozenges with him, and it led him right back to his normal habit. That reminds me, I have to ask hubby is my snoring has improved. I know it won't have gone away completely, because I have hereditary sleep apnea, but I'd like to know if it's improved.
  7. Granted, frankly, I got dentures years ago, but what comes to mind are a couple different things - first, smoking doesn't usually cause tooth decay that I know of, but it does cause yellowing of the teeth. I smoked from when I was 15 to 39 (last month - I turned 39 in March), and I think I had TWO cavities, no, a couple more, before getting put on psych meds in 2001, which dried my mouth out something horrible, causing more decay. Also, another thing that started my "dental cascade" was, when I was pregnant (way back long time ago, 1996, I think), I had my first abscessed tooth. They didn't want to do a root canal on a pregnant woman for some reason - I mean, I could get a local anesthetic, I think it was just because I couldn't take pain pills afterward - so they pulled the tooth. Every time a tooth is pulled, your teeth spread. That leads to food getting stuck between your teeth more and more, and thus, more decay. The other option I see, well, two. They were previous drug addicts (crack and heroine users are notorius for this issue), or they are using metal drip tips and literally beating the heck out of their teeth with it rather than keeping it just at the lips. Or maybe the guys you are watching simply have poor dental hygeine - not brushing enough, or effectively, not flossing (okay, I was horrible about flossing), not getting frequent cleanings, etc. Frankly, a lot of people just don't care. Oh, and don't forget, constant soda drinking (except diet) keeps your teeth bathed in sugar, not to mention acid eroding enamel, and constant drinking of any liquid OTHER than water keeps the saliva bathing your teeth, which can, again, cause erosion. Citrus fruits - again, erosion from the acidity, and your enamel can't heal, obviously.
  8. It would be a tie with me between tobacco flavors and then something sweet. Well, okay, actually the Fr. Vanilla I vape is Fr. Vanilla Tobacco, but I can't really taste the tobacco. It was just one of the flavors I tried and fell in love with (they didn't have the rich french vanilla out for sampling). And when I visited and got the milk chocolate, it was the shop that buys their juices from the online store of the other shop I go to, and they don't carry the chocolate tobacco. I've been to Better Vapes since then, and tried the chocolate tobacco, and really, I'm not sure which I prefer. But I'm looking to pick up some Cinnamon Bun and Vanilla Caramel from them, which is definitely not tobacco flavored. But you forgot a class on your list - drink inspired juice - absinthe, Hypnotique, bourbon, whiskey, creme de menthe, etc. I've seen a LOT of those flavors around sites, and I've tried the absinthe and hypnotique (not fond of either), but I have an Irish Creme coming in hopefully today that I'll try when it's finished steeping, that I'm hoping I'll like. I LOVE me some Bailey's, but I can't drink. Even when I haven't had pain killers or anxiety pills that day, it affects me differently now. It actually CAUSES a speed type feeling or anxiety type feeling. So I have to settle for the vape. Although one year my hubby received a box of little bitty chocolate bottles with different types of alcohol inside (maybe a teaspoon?) and I found some that I'd love to try a full sized serving of, or I'd love to try a vape with some of those flavors. Now if I can only remember what they were.
  9. That may be why it lasts so long. I'm disabled, so I can vape whenever I want, lol.
  10. Okay, I answered "full flavored". Our CHOICE was Marlboro reds. However, sometimes, there would be sales on Camel Filter lights (which seemed to be about the same as Marlboro Reds) 2 for 1, so we would get those, or sometimes, when we were VERY low on cash, GPC's (we were 15, remember). Although I didn't start into full time smoking for probably close to a year. I would just smoke when I was with her, or when I could steal from my Dad's pack without him knowing it. Well, okay, I'm sure he "knew it", I mean, you it should be obvious when 2 cigarettes are missing from a pack, but he never said anything until he caught me.
  11. Just want to say one quick thing - never EVER paint your walls without washing. There's more there than you know, even when there isn't smoke in the house. Also, always prime - you need a barrier between the two colors of paint, at least, that's what my parents taught me. I'm not sure if going the killz route for primer is necessary, but you definitely need one or two primer coats before paint. As for the residue on the windshield, all we found was the smoke that gets ON your windshield, and that washes off with whatever product you normally use.
  12. Wow, now that the Davide is working properly again, going back to an evod for the rest of evening is once again, like drinking through a swizzle stick, as Brian said. So once I get paid and upgrade, it's going to have to be all Davides or all Kangers for my main flavors, me thinks.
  13. Ewww, wow. Just tried switching from my custom 618 now that my Davide is working to the way I remembered it to work when I first got it, to sweet tobacco. ewwwww. Just does not go right in my mouth. Milk chocolate didn't sit right in my mouth after brushing my teeth earlier today, either. Wow, looks like the only thing I can successfully transition to after my custom 618 is milk chocolate right now, but we'll see if that changes when my honey wood gets in and steeped. (Granted, I had some Fr. Vanilla mixed in with the 618, but usually I can't transition from Fr. Vanilla to Milk Chocolate).
  14. So far, the FDA really doesn't have any input on e-cig or e-juice market. It's not considered a tobacco product yet, and it's not intended for ingestion, so how could they certify it?
  15. Thanks. Now, this Battery B (the one I got from the other vaper in my house) was handed to me yesterday, with a full charge. I checked on my charger and it was, indeed, green. So I turned it off and set it aside, and didn't touch it again until 10:10 this morning (found my notes). It lasted from 10:10 'til about 3, and now that other person is looking at me like I'm nuts that it didn't last me that long. The only thing I can think of is that I didn't actually have it off when I set it aside, but I'm pretty sure I remember turning it on this morning, but who knows. That's why I'm gathering data over a matter of days to a week. Interestingly, even though Battery 1 was NOT completely charged when I started using it this afternoon, it's been 7 hours, and I'm just now getting the lack of vapor that I associate with a dying battery.
  16. I dunno. I LIKE vaping. I like the flavors. It's too early to tell.
  17. It's eGo 900 mah, and it's the charger that came with it. Both about a month old by now, I guess. Yesterday, when I got up in the morning, after charging since....well since about 3:30 the day before, Battery 1 finished charging during the night, but, of course, since I was asleep, it was still on the charger. Since the battery I was using, Battery 2, died shortly after that, I just switched them out, put 2 on the charger, and took 1 off the charger @ 9:30 am. It lasted about 6 hours yesterday (the day before it lasted 5 hours). So this morning, I get up and Battery 1 still isn't fully charged. Battery 2 died between 8:30 and 9:30 am, so I put IT on the charger, and began using Battery B. Battery B died at about 3 or 3:30, I'm assuming partially because I vaped so much in the car on the way over to the hospital, but I wasn't vaping for an hour while we were in the hospital, and it wasn't long after that that Battery B died (so he may have a problem battery as well). So I started using Battery 1, as when we we left the house, it had been charged for longer, and I hope would have had more juice than the only 3 hour charge on Battery 2. At 5:00 pm, after charging for 8 1/2 hours max, Battery 2 was fully charged, and I took it off the charger and put Battery B on the charger. Battery 2 is now turned off. I'm still using Battery 1 to see how long it will last. It charged for, like I said around 18 hours and wasn't fully charged, and that was AFTER I had cleaned both the contacts on the battery, and the contacts on the charger. Obviously, the problem isn't the charger as it finished charging Battery 2 in about 8 1/2 hours - possibly earlier since I just got home at 4, and didn't check the charge status. So I'm wondering, how long IS it supposed to take for these batteries to charge?
  18. Yeah, I said that at 1:54 yesterday, but jp said at three something today that the offer was still up, no cc required, etc. So I was just clarifying again, it's still asking for a credit card, and it's listing specifically that the purchaser is responsible for S&H in the product description, even if the NJOY King sample is free.
  19. It actually went kaput, no firing at all, while everything else, even the initial generic clearomizers that come in the starter kit worked great (although for some reason I have this funky taste on my tongue, might have gotten some juice on my tongue when I filled the clearomizer). Put the new coil in, it fired up right away and is so much better than the last 2 days when I would try to vape from it, and probably more vapor than I've seen from it in about a week. Doesn't feel so airy now, either. EDIT: Found out the last coil had indeed, not been used yet, so i was able to use it.
  20. Gah! My coil died on this one and my B&M shops are closed on Sundays! We used the last coil on hubby's mini pro tank, I think.
  21. I just tried to do it again, it's still asking for CC info for the $2.99 S&H fee, and even lists in the description "you will be charged $2.99 for S&H"
  22. Truthfully, to me, there is no harm in chain vaping - I do it myself a lot. Lowering your nic level may be key, though. Granted, I'm not like most people, I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder along with Bipolar AND epilepsy, and a couple of other medical conditions, and I'm also going through a complicated chain of med changes right now, so I don't KNOW if the increased nicotine, or the med changes but I AM having increased anxiety. So I'm stepping my nic level down another notch - but right now, before stepping it down, I'm at an 18 nic level on all but my honey wood, which is 15. Not sure what study you read. It IS a stimulant, but it also dialates the blood vessels, slows or completely stops digestion/indigestion, heartburn, or causes more trouble with GERD, it can induce adrenaline release (thus the possible reason for my increased anxiety attacks), can block the production of insulin, you still get the cholesterol changes you would get off analogs - increase in LDL, and lowering of triglycerides. Also, nicotine is toxic, and is used in pesticides - granted, in higher concentrations than we use in e-cigs, but that's why most e-juice bottles warn you not to ingest it - it's poisonous.
  23. Okay, so the battery I was having problems with (I call it Battery 1 as that's how I have it marked for references/testing purposes) - yesterday when I put it on to charge, I cleaned the contacts of both the battery and just in case, the charger. Battery 2 was charging fine, but I thought it may be charging a little slow - but I still got around 18 hours on an unfinished charge (including nighttime when I was sleeping). I plugged Battery 1 into charge yesterday at 3:30 pm, and by 10:00 am, it still wasn't completely charged. It's a 900 mah ego starter stick. So, um, I'm thinking it's the battery, right? I'm currently using Battery B (the battery my partner in crime loaned me because he has a Provari and only needs 1 of his stick/starter batteries for occasional back up, it's fully charged, and was turned off when I received it); Battery 2 is currently on the charger, and although Battery 1 is not fully charged, it is in my case as a back up just in case Battery B dies - it shouldn't - while we are out. So, I'm wondering, just how long IS IT supposed to take for these batteries to charge? It didn't matter so much when my vaping was low enough that one stick battery was lasting me around 24 hours, if not more. But now it's starting to matter, since Battery 1 has such a short lasting time (we'll see if that changes after having cleaned the contacts). Plus, I have three batteries to charge now, unless Battery 1 decides to act right. If it's not acting right, next weekend, or possibly Friday, I will have to take it back to 3DVapor and exchange it, if it can be exchanged this long out.
