Welcome! The spending does level off once you figure out your vaping habits, what works for you....figure out what kinds of flavors you like etc. My husband and I calculated this whole thing out. In the first several months we had spent WAY more than we would have smoking for that time, HOWEVER, then it dropped off dramatically as we weren't buying new hardware all the time, just the liquid since we were cleaning our cartos. So we have spent about 60-65% less than smoking overall. But even if it cost the same, we would do it, for us it was about the health aspect, not the money....that was just a bonus. Have fun playing with your new toys.....and feeling healthier! I smoked 2-3 ppd for 30 years, and have NO desire to ever smoke again!! It does take some getting used to, it is different than smoking, so be patient!

Well, I can totally relate. I've spent several hours a night the last few weeks reading and watching vids. I just joined VT because the people here are really great. I've been going a little overboard (ordering form the same company 2 days later before the original order arrives). I've done that a few times now because I get excited about something and dive in. But, how much money did you spend smoking? Think about not just the smokes, but lighters, new clothes, washing more often, burnt car seats, etc. I think it's money well spent. My wife, who hasn't seen a bill yet, thinks I'm crazy but is more than happy to be around me (and even kiss more often because I don't smell or taste like cigs. No matter what, vaping is better than smoking any day!

VT has been awesome in welcoming me and you'll be happy here. I'm sure Chris would be happy to fulfill your vaping needs as well!!

Wow, openminde... You give new credence to the phrase, "Backups, backups, backups." Congratulations on swan diving headlong into vaping. I am sure you will not be disappointed in your purchases. Even if the eGo and the Leo are the same device, you will not need to buy attys or spare batteries for quite some time, and I have heard lots of rave reviews on the tank. Make sure you post any subtle differences in the units. This can give us newer vapers more information on which to base a purchase decision. And no matter how much you spend on hardware and juice, you cannot put a price on your health.

    Happy vaping.^^

LOL I have to laugh. As another new vaper, I can totally relate, spending a lot of time here, looking at new stuff.

I have a Joye eGo too, and I love it. I am so glad it was my first purchase.

It just feels so good to not have to smoke anymore! Since my e-juice arrived last Friday, I have had a few "bored" moments of thinking "I want a cigarette" and then, thought, "Noooooo, my e-cig tastes a thousand times better." Vape a few minutes and I am perfectly content!

You can buy some 24mg Midnight and mix it 50/50 to get 12mg. Since you like the flavor, this is probably the best option.

Or, you can buy some nic and add it to the eliquid, but that will dilute the taste. You can get some 48mg nic and mix it 1 part nic to 2 part eliqid to get 16mg.

Using 36mg nic mixed 1 part nic to 2 part eliquid would give you 12mg. In both cases you're using 33% unflavored nic, so that's going to reduce the flavor quite a bit.

I've heard of a lot of people who go through that coughing - to clear out their lungs. I never did do that. When I cough now, it's usually because of needing to drink more liquid. That doesn't happen much. I started coughing a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what was going on. Turns out I was getting sick. Wow, whodathunkit?

I'm thinking about just saving and ponying up the cash for a mod. Probably one from jolly if at all possible, his look awesome. I want a BEAST that can take a beating and keep on vaping...there is just SO MANY out there though. Very hard to choose any ONE.

Deep end? What's that? This makes no sense to me.

Nothing wrong with have 70+ attys, two eGo kits, 10 or so mods, tons of batteries (18650s, RCR123As, 14500), a plethora of drip tips and a two year supply of nic. Nope, nothing wrong with that at all.

I back you 100% DearHeart!! You are so right on, it's scarey. And yes!! The Stu's Illuminated Juice Box is such an adorable, affordable, great vaping machine juice box, that there really really should be one in every stable! Go for it Nana!!!! It's even comfortable to wear on a lanyard ... right along with the eGo in it's lanyard. OMG, I've gone off the deep end... but it's so nice to have one filled with fruit, and one with 555. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

backin up the backup queen! I'm honored!!!

Oh Beans!! You are not going off the deep end. Not at all. I, on the other hand.... No, not really. I'm not going off the deep end. Not at all. It's much better to have too much vaping stuff (did I really just say "too much" - no such thing) than not enough. Imagine the horror of running out of something: attys, batteries, charger, liquid. You would not be able to vape. Hold on a second, I think I'm making myself sick just thinking of that possibility...gotta pull myself together. <deep breath> Okay, I'm better now. Nope. Being prepared is never going off the deep end. You're just fine. You really are. As a matter of fact, you probably need a few more things. Ever thought about a silver bullet? They are awesome!! The Provape 1 is really nice. Those juice box mods like Uma just got are probably a must, too. Yeah, a must. That would be why I'm seriously considering...oh never mind.

Uma!! Back me up on this one. Please!!!!

This list is 3 pages long. The FDA and is trying to ban our eCigs and make us go back to regular tobacco which contains ingredients approved by them. It's quit cold turkey, or go back to cigs and die. Quit or die. I don't believe in banning cigs, ecigs, or lightbulbs. I believe in freedom of choice. Which would you rather choose? Not yet approved eCigs with 4-6 ingredients (PG or VG or both, flavoring, sweetener). or approved cigareetes with something like 4000 ingredients approved by the FDA....

Can't quite yet drop that lingering pack a week? Read this!

Keep the big plug (butt plug) on the bottom, but remove the tiny silicone mouthpiece condom. The mouthpiece itself pops off (with an eyeglasses sd type tool) as does the little flat 2 holed juice protector bar. Take the 2 previously mentioned off and then take your Jewelers ScrewDriver and puncture the barrier (in the middle of the carto). Slide your needle in and pull back out a hair, tilt it so it squirts (slow and easy) to the side of the inside. When filled, slurp up with your needle the extra juice that flowed up through the side air channels. Put the flat bar back in, tap down in the middle with your tool to snug it, then pop the mouthpiece lid back on. Let it sit for many hours before using, to let the juice absorb thoroughly into all the filler material of the carto. It's hard to explain in writing! It's easier done than said. Once you get the hang of it.

The main drawback with these, is that they are only good for 2 or 3 refills. (but they go a long way). I use them mainly for travels.

Okay, I studied computers for 3 1/2 years, which is actually not that much, so someone with more experience might come along. But the processor is ok, the price to up it is ridiculous and not worth the little extra kick it gives. The video card is AWESOME, my bro has a 512 and runs a few high-quality demanding games like Starcraft 2 at high settings. Black ops should look beautiful. 6 GB memory/RAM is good, don't need any more than that. 750GB hard drive should be enough for whatever you need, unless you got a bunch of *ahem* "freeware" (totally NOT talking about "pirated" movies and/or music <.<). Unless you need it, the other software is for stuff like running a business, or going to college. As for Anti-Virus, I just use AVG Free (like the name says, it's free) and Spybot Search and Destroy (also free), google it if you want.
Battery all depends on how long you need it to run, I just kept mine stationary, so I changed to a desktop. Adaptors are the same, if you need it, get it, otherwise no point. No idea on the difference in screens, probly just a gloss or something...might be worth checking out. "Primary Optical Drive" all depends on what you need, do you NEED Blu-Ray? Do you NEED to burn "ahem" copies of your previously legally bought software? It's up to you.
The networking bit MIGHT be worth $25 to get the Bluetooth, I never used it, but it depends on whether or not you have, or will, need it.
The thing said it had an included port for broadband internet, so if you have dsl or cable internet, you SHOULD be fine, but they have usb adapters for that just in case. If you want some good sound, get a set of speakers, the ones in laptops usually blow. BE SURE to get a surge bar, either use one you have or get a new one, but make sure its good, because you could lose it all in a heartbeat if you have a power fluctuation.
Looks like a good computer, just an fyi though, if you don't need portability, a desktop is cheaper for all of the same components, which means with that money you could get a better desktop
But I digress, hope I helped.

Ok had a miserable day with my eGo but it wasn't it's fault entirely lol Couldn't get any vapor out of the darned thing hardly at all after blowing it out repeatedly, cleaning it, dry burning it, de-meshing, and finally de-bridging I realized it wasn't sitting down in the atty all the way which means the battery wasn't getting it hot enough to release the vapor. OH yeah this baby's kickin now. I now feel confident I could make just about any atty work as long as it wasn't completely dead or missing the coil lol. I also learned to never get caught with my pants down again- backups, backups and more backups!!!! I"m just say'in lol

Hi Tag. You have a good starter kit. A good unit to step up to would be the eGo/Tornado. You will be able to use your 510 attys on it and the battery life is much better than your standard 510 kit.

Wouldn't even waste my time....this has nothing to do with lawmakers NOT knowing....this is an agenda that is for the benefit of tobacco and pharma industries and they have HUGE clout. This has nothing to do with safety or health or cancer. If it did they would have banned tobacco products, and we all know that hasn't and won't happen.

You are quite correct Will, the 14500 under test with the Mark mod was not fully charged. You brought up some very good points about the mah ratings posted on the batteries not being accurate.

My purpose in this video was to show a simple test that anyone could do without getting too elaborate. What I like to do is run a test like this when I first get a new PV to get a base line of it's performance. Later down the road, if I think I notice things not working as well, I can run the test again to see if there is truely a decrease in performance.

    Dear (omitted for privacy)

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding a potential ban on
    electronic cigarettes.

This past week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia
Circuit rejected the FDA's request to have the entire court review the
December decision by a three-judge panel which ruled that the FDA does
not have the authority to regulate electronic cigarettes as a
drug-device. I agree that there is no need for legislative action on
this matter. New York has many more important issues, including state
budget cuts and a property tax cap, which are my legislative priority.

There is already far too much government interference in our daily
lives. I am committed to ensuring that every citizen has the right to
make their own decisions without unnecessary government regulation.
This proposal is a complete overreach of government and needs to be stopped.

Please be assured that I understand your concerns and will work with my
colleagues to protect your rights. If I can answer any additional
question or be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact
    my office.

    Sincerely,

Green Smoke is a "name brand" electronic cigarette if you will. They are usually cartomizer models and are over priced. (Or at least they where, I haven't checked their prices as of late) Bottles liquid usually isn't an option which can save you money.

901 is an older model no loner used. Though, some use the 901 atomizer on their custom mods. (Not something important if you're new to ecigs)

808 is also an older model no longer used. Again, the atomizer is sometimes used by advanced members on custom mods.

I suggest going with the eGo. It's durable and the battery life is amazing. There are many add ons for it. Once you have your eGo grab a cup of coffee, take your eGo, fill it, vape it, sit back and read what other models use to be.
