I second the LavaTube. It's a nice affordable VV mod. VV mods are nice for getting the last puff out of dying attys and cartos and for finding the right heat temp for any particular juice or mix. (vg likes it hotter for instance).

I'd sure like to have my baby back... I had a lot of fun in this through high school.

To extremewattage: A 'cartomizer' is basically a cartridge and atomizer in one unit. There is a fiber-like material surrounding the heating coil... you must soak the filler material first and then you are ready to vape. It screws directly onto the eGo battery and you can put the cone over that. You then will need to just 'top-off' with juice when you notice flavor and vapor starting to decrease. With a new carto, I will typically vape on it for around 30 minutes, and then top off with 4-6 drops of liquid before I vape again. A drip tip is handy on cartomizers as well as atomizers... they help with keeping your lips cooler and with ease of 'direct dripping' with attys. (I remove the drip tip to 'top off' a carto though... they are more for comfort on cartos) With an atomizer, you will want to use a drip tip and 'direct drip' onto the heating coil. With a brand new atty, you will want to add 3-4 drops at first, let that soak in good and then add 3-4 more and then vape. You can then drip 3-4 drops to get a good 6-8 drags from your e-cig... or more depending on the juice you are using. (your mileage may vary obviously). You really should try both cartos and attys and just see which way you prefer to vape. I personally have been doing both lately... depending on where I'm at and what I'm doing. You will also want to try out some Boge 2.0 LR cartos and some Low Resistance atomizers.

I think you will be pleased with the LT ! I'm quite picky about my mods and such... and I was very pleased with it. What you are getting for the price is simply hard to beat really. A variable voltage/boosting mod that does everything this one does is hard to come by for that price! Hell, I'm honestly thinking about ordering another one if a different color to have on hand! That's how much I like it. I was also surprised at it's size... I thought that it was going to be larger than it is after seeing reviews and such. But it is quite comfortable in the hand really. It does everything it's supposed to do... and at a really good price. Obviously it's no Provari... which is much better looking in my opinion, but the LT functions much like the Provari. I'll settle with the 'POOR-VARI' for now! Hope you like yours as much as I like mine!

I just received mine yesterday and fell madly in love. Only time will tell how well it holds up, but for the price even a month is cheaper than cartons of smokes, so it's well worth the expense of finding out how long it will hold up.

It's lightweight. It doesn't weigh much more than my little Volt. (cig size ecig). But, of course, it's bigger around. It's smaller, much smaller than my SB and way much lighter.
I got the red one, and it's a pretty red... it looks almost pink in some lights, and sometimes it gets one of those pretty highlights of orange... It's what I personally call the sherbert colors.
It's VERY user friendly! Just push the button up or down, you don't have "access" a menu. Plus, you can lock your preferred voltage by pressing both buttons.
It has an on/off feature by pressing the button 3 times.

the boge cartomizers have a fairly dense filler material, 40% VG is about as high as i've gone with good results, i use them mainly for my thinner juices. any of the smoktek cartomizers work well with high vg mixes as they have a less dense filler material. the emdcc's are particularly good with 100% vg. I've yet to use a cartomizer that can go more than 3 or 4 fills of high vg before degrading and needing a good boiling, which is an unfortunate trade-off for vg.

Don't listen to Jeff he doesn't know how to use cartos Can't help you with the mods or that carto but you should try the eGo Mega Dual Cartos, they will fit you eGo batt like they were built for each other. I use them and love them, you can get them from MadVapes.

Yes, they're compatible. The volt carto's are 1.8 duals, and vape quite satisfactory. I purchase the prefilled ones because they cost the same as the empty ones, plus I get extra juice for the same dollar spent, plus... it's so easy to just unwrap and vape, especially when you have the curious George who wants to try it out.

At the start of a new year we tend to look back on the past year and reflect on what we've done and look forward on what we plan to do. I've recently passed my 2 year mark here on VaporTalk and wonder where the hell the time has gone.Although I haven't been here as long as some others I have noticed so many changes, both on the forum and with the people.
So many have come and gone, and you wonder where they went and why they left? Chris has said that it's the nature of a forum.
Not being on many I wouldn't know, but I can't help but wonder why? Did they just get tired? Have they gone to other forums? Or did they just give up? I can't imagine finding a better, friendlier, or more helpful forum than VT. I have many people here to thank for helping me when I first started out to quit analogs. With their help and encouragement I'm coming up on 2 years smoke free.
So what all this is leading up to is never forget where you started and who helped you along. If this forum was your first stop in a new way of getting healthier then don't give up on the forum. Stop bye from time to time, say hello, let us know how you're doing and how your e-cig journey is coming along. I myself am guilty of not coming bye as often as I should, but I have never forgotten where I got my start. I will never use the clear ones. Hear they aren't as durable as the black cartos. Im not a fan of tank systems so if you get yourself some cartos you wont be disappointed. I use Boge cartomizers and Ego Mega Dual Coil cartos and they work great. Awesome flavor and vapor production every time. Give them a try my friend!!!

I haven't had any problems vaping while sick. I have heard some say that vaping hurt when they were sick, my wife was one of them. You may want to keep your mouth piece or drip tip cleaned more often though so you don't reinfect yourself.

You want a juice that is bursting with flavor.... try 'Fire and Ice' ! You can probably guess that it's a mix of cinnamon and menthol. Many places sell a version of this... and it's a staple for me because it's so intense. That is... if you aren't a sissy.

5 days usually. Orders are out in 24 hours normally.

Some tips I learned about LR's and will share here. Just disregard if not needed.

1. LR's like to be wet. Prime them with your flavored juice, let sit for 10 minutes, drip another 2 or 3 drops, then you're good to go.
2. Attys will last longer if let to cool between dripping sessions. Drip, vape, vape, vape, cool, drip vape

Welcome to VT. Switching over from smoking to vaping is always a wise choice, no matter what bans we constantly have to fight. By not smoking, your body begins healing from all those nasty toxins and tar you've been abusing your body with for years. Hopefully we'll be allowed to heal for as long as we desire or need, but if we can't, at least we get to heal for a little while.

Many have been able to gradually wean themselves off of the nicotine and are vaping 6mg to zero mg in their first year! These are the fortunate ones, because they can vape nic free despite the ANTZ ban affections. Being wheeze free for even a week is worth the money and time devoted to vaping.
Vape away, my friend, and gradually cut back on your own nic intake. Stock up on attys, and ejuice, learn how to make your own mods and liquids and you'll be fine. Eventually you'll have only the hand to mouth addiction to break. (or you can break that earlier than you want and go the obese route, it's up to you).

If you pick up a non-dedicated 3.7v battery mod so you can use the larger cartos, such as the (E)MDCC's which don't cost very much. Spend a hundred bucks just stockpiling those babies and you'll be good for a year or so. (they won't work on the little tiny 510 battery)
