  1. Looks like the last time he made a post on the forum was July 4th. I hope he's okay and just busy.
  2. I've send a couple of personal emails with no replies. That's unusual for him.
  3. I've been trying to contact @Compenstine too but haven't heard a peep. I'm getting worried...
  4. Where in Southern Cali is it going to be?
  5. I get them on eBay. Normally, I don't buy anything on eBay that has to do with vaping because of some questionable quality and safety issues, but wraps are pretty innocuous so... They have wraps for all different types of mods.
  6. My iStick 50W at 4400 mAh only has to be charged once every four days or so. I vape at 1.8 ohm, 9.7W. With 5000W, that should last me another day -- day and a half or so.
  7. Oops. Dropped a zero. Still... it should hold a charge for a looooong time was my point. lol
  8. Yep, those would be the ones. Forget "boat", I think they came over on the tide...
  9. Just in -- two Eleaf iPower 80W 500 mAh batteries from Slo-- I mean Fasttech. It only took a month after they shipped after the several weeks on preorder. Don't ask about it yet, it just came in the mail a few minutes ago. Like all iSticks, the casing is a little slick so when they come available, I'll be buying a wrap for it. On the bright side, with it being 500 mAh, I'll never need to recharge this thing. Ever.
  10. Another question I would ask is, "How long have you been vaping?" so we get an idea of your experience level. Do you vape mouth to lung (draw vapor into your mouth first before inhaling) or direct to lung (just draw in vapor directly into your lungs)? This will make a difference in what kinds of tanks/RBA/RDA that are recommended. A mod is generally the device that houses the battery (either one that has removable battery/batteries or those that have internal non-removable batteries). The tank and coil combination along with the PG/VG ratio are what produce the clouds you're looking for. Also, in producing said clouds, are you willing to sacrifice flavor for that or do you want more flavor? Just a few more questions so we can better help you in your search. Semper Fi, thank you for your service, and welcome to Vapor Talk.
  11. Thanks for a thorough review. You managed to answer the one question I had that I couldn't find in any of the other reviews of this tank. I'm a MTL vaper who likes a cool vape so this one is probably off my list. Thanks for saving me the money for a tank that probably wouldn't work for me.
  12. A win is a win no matter how small... Thanks for the info!
  13. When I put my Triton in my purse, it inevitably ends up riding around on its side and I've not had leaking or flooding problems. The iStick 50W has five click on/off button and it will lock the watts/volts to whatever you set it on when you press and hold the up and down buttons at the same time for a few seconds. "Lock" or "Unlock" will appear on the display.
  14. Got three 5-packs of Aspire Triton 1.8 ohm coils in today from the Vapor Talk store. Thanks, Chris!
  15. LOL. I've lost count how many I have now... about... an even dozen? I actively rotate two that I use with tanks and keep three more charged up ready to be put into the rotation when I need to charge the ones I'm using. The 4400 mAh battery of the iStick 50W is so huge, I only have to charge once every four days or so of pretty constant vaping. It takes about five - six hours to charge but these are also pass throughs so you can vape while it's charging, I just prefer not to for safety reasons. Right now the Vapor Talk store doesn't stock them and I can't remember if Chris said he'd get them in or not. Vape Shop.com has them for $29.35 each.
  16. Hey, Spydre, you're not looking to build your own coils, are you? If you are, I highly recommend the Russian 91% version 2. Earthling got me hooked on that one. Otherwise, I'm still loving my Aspire Triton 2. It can take a whole bunch of different materials and builds for coils (prebuilt coils) and you can also get an RBA for it at a minimal cost if you want to build your own. The Triton is a top fill. For batteries, I'm still stuck on the Eleaf iStick 50W although I did venture out to get a Coolfire IV 100TC and an Eleaf iStick 70WTC. For me, I prefer the built in battery rather than having to charge outside the mod. YMMV. There are so many choices out there now that it makes my head spin.
  17. Protanks have two different kinds of coils, which one were you looking for -- single or dual coil option?
  18. I'm glad you've had such good luck with Sweet-Vapes, B, but for me, it's this vendor with the hyphen and Dayna in particular that I had issues with.
  19. More info is better than not enough, boys. Go for it! I know when I first started, it was wonderful to get almost too much information than just bare minimum. You guys are great!
  20. I'm a lot like Chris in that I started vaping to quit smoking and I use what works for me. Currently, my go-to are two iStick 50W with Aspire Triton 2 (same flavor juice -- FLaN), Coolfire IV 100 TC with Aspire Triton 2, three iStick 50W batteries ready to go into the rotation as one recharges. On the go I still use a couple Vision Spinner 1600 mAh (original first version) with Kanger Pro Tank mini 3 with various flavors in higher nic so I can take a couple of hits and go.
  21. You need a license to tend bar??? Wow. Times have changed...
  22. Might as well have none for all the good they're doing me today.
  23. I'm still working on my first cup of coffee after a bad night so not all three brain cells have kicked into gear yet.
  24. What do you mean by "day" flavors?
  25. Another way to "speed steep" your juice that's a little easier is to take a bottle of hot water (not boiling), and put your bottle of juice into it. Put the hot water into a Pyrex bowl and set it on the counter. This way, you really can't over cook/steep the juice because the water will cool on its own. If you need to, you can dump the cooled water and refill with hot water and repeat as necessary.
