    Congrats on quitting smoking!!
It sounds like you're ready for a mod? There are many out there to choose from. Most of them are pretty large, in order to hold the larger longer batteries.

The Precise+ in 18350 size is dainty, super well made, (top craftsmanship!!), has a special berium connection that gives a harder hit than most 510 mechanical mods, and if you have enough spare batteries on hand to charge in a nice Xtar charger, you'll get along swell. They're at Super T Manufacturing http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/ They also sell for top dollar if you decide to sell it and get a different one.

Another, nice one is the Piccolo, but they're a little harder to find. Long and slender.

The eGo-Twist is a wonderful battery! It's the size of an ink pen, yet it's variable volt! They're very affordable, and the main stay for newbies and Veterans alike. I would go with the Twist while researching other mods.

    Sorry to hear that.

In my experience this has been the primary reason why some go back to smoking. They don't quite grasp the concept. But, more often that not though, they'll come back around for a second try. Especially after being sick or waking up to a really bad coughing spell. Then, they're usually more determined than ever to finally switch.

Unless it's a specialized storefront that sells ecig products, i've found that they're entirely clueless, especially when dealing with the gas station/tobacco store brands. Overall they seemed to somewhat interested tho and asked me how i liked them (this was back when i was trying out disposables and different mini models)

The mall sellers on the other hand, are worse than clueless. Not only do they possess no knowledge about the products whatsoever, but they've been given a list of 15 pre-designated responses as to why their ****ty product is the best and their ****ty price is fair. They exist for no other purpose than to screw over new vapers. They don't even know the mAh of their batteries or ohms of their atomizers, they don't know if their juice is PG or VG, or specifically what nic their juice is (them: there's high medium and low; me: but how much actual mg/ml is that? them: what?)

So to summarize, unless you have a big ecig specialized storefront near you, we're all probably better off sticking to the internet

I think as long as you keep the nicotine consumption in check, vape to your hearts content, although i'm still relatively new to the game. I enjoy the act and flavors very much, so until a definite reason to quit entirely presents itself, i'm happy just vaping away while trying to continue to lower my nic intake.

I started at 24mg and since i vape quite a bit, I could feel my heart beating a mile a minute by the end of the day. Let's not forget there are negative conscequences to nicotine. Increased heartrate, blood pressure, etc. It's not completely harmless. I bumped it down to 18mg, and now i'm in the process of getting down to 12mg (right now i'm about 50/50 gotta use up the old 18mg juice). If i can get down to 6mg and still get a satisfying TH i'd love to do that.

At the end of the day i'm sure everyone will have a different opinion, but the way i see it, if you enjoy something, and there's nothing to prove it can be harmful long term, why quit? We're so used to being scorned for being smokers and always having the 'end result' being quitting entirely. Whenever I say that and people suggest 'but you're still an adict' I just laugh and remind them of all the things people are "addicted" to. Caffeine, sugar, fast food, crappy reality tv (HA, way more damaging, am i right?) and no one seems to scorn those people the way that smokers are scorned. Just my 2 cents

How much vape time do you get out of your lavatube mini? I'm a fairly heavy vaper looking for a compact all day device that can last at least 24 hours.

I like my 1000mah ego-c twist but it's too long and slender and i knock it over constantly, plus i get quite a few odd looks in public. The last concert i went to i kept having people ask me 'can i hit that?'. When i'd reply with 'it's not weed' they'd look disappointed and almost give me a skeptical 'are you sure?' look. Pretty funny but mildly annoying.

Along the same lines, any reccomendations for a good low profile compact mod with excellent vape time are appreciated.

I've heard of some mods being able to last several days. What and where are they?

    Thanks!

The majority of these brand name e-cigs all get there stuff from the same factories in China. They just pay to have their logo and boxes. I always laugh when one ecig seller states their stuff is better than everyone elses when actually they are selling the same stuff just branded differently.

KR is Kanger mfg,DSE is a seperate manufacturer used to be Sailibo ir something like that.DSE 801 is the larger pennstyle DSE 901 and Kanger KR 808 have the same threads in a smaller pennstyle.I would guess you just need a 510 battery to KR808/DSE 901 adapter for $3.00 and you can use you 510/Ego style batteries.

Uma, the Twist was in my first order! What a great product! I have basically put away all those fancy mods and just go with it all the time. As a matter or fact, I ordered another one and some high res Vision clearos. The low res don't seem to work that well with the twist in my opinion. Let's see if the high res work better.

    Good tips, both of youse.
It is difficult to see in the wrong light.
At first I thought I'd never find those numbers.
    But now it's pretty easy.
(I hand it to the kid to do it for me lol).

I feel left out of the carto circle. lol I'm carto challenged. I've never gotten a decent vape without flooding and headaches! I guess I will stick to dripping and clearos.

@brian the vapor production is better, and the flavor is good on a fresh carto. but it mutes pretty quick imho.

I remember you from way back. It's good to hear from you again. Let us know what you like the best these days. For me it's the twist c battery but I am constantly changing up the juice delivery method. I still drip sometimes, use clearomisers, eGo C tank, carto tank, emdcc etc. I'm not sure if one or all of these is what I will stick with or something else that is newer or hasn't come out yet.

juice wise for me to be set for a year i would say a crap ton! lol but 1 30 mill bottle normally lasts me a month. sometimes its just shy, so for me id get wround 12 30 mill bottles or around 360mill total of juice. as for cartomizers with my tank. the tank lasts forever, but the cartomizers for it last about a week or so with 100% VG and a tad longer with 100% PG. i recommend bobas bounty from alien visions ejuice. its 100% VG and 100% DELICIOUS! lol not many people dislike it. also if u are prone to losing things id recommend a ego usb pass-thru batt and keep it at/with your computer.

aha! The info is right there on his webpage. Scroll down the page to read the big print.
I prolly should start a new thread about these?

Today I ordered some tank thingies from VeteranVaper as well as an eGo Twist! I miss using my eGo, and the twist with the tank thingie that Brian has looks like a good vape. (rechangeable coils even!). I'll update after I've used them for a week or so. These just might be a great tank system for my little eGo in it's lanyard. I'll get the eGo DID in a few months too I hope.

Took me a long time to come around to the DCT's. I always shied away because of the carto....carto's and I never got along well.
Found a shop and was able to give them a try....ya, Love!!! They are a pain to fill without a syringe, but manageable without.
Not had any flooding trouble. They really are part of my all day vaping collection. I have also learned how to punch an additional hole in the carto to help with wicking. The cartos usually only last me a couple weeks before the draw becomes stiff...their cheap so not a problem.
Use mine with my ego type batteries with a tube sock....give it a finished look. no gap between the battery and the tank.

Still love the clearomizers too...easy to fill, no hassel. been lucky, not had much trouble with them. once the threads get singed, burnt taste sticks around. have found that VG and darker liquids, seems to clog them up quickly.

I rotate regularly between the DCT's and the clearomizers....have to rotate to keep them from getting too hot...tend to vape ALOT!!

Then there is still my all time personal favorite....dripping...all around best throat hit, best vapor and best flavor. Mostlly drip while I'm at home...love dripping with the 306's. I have been dripping for 3 years and I think it will always be my favorite.
