Clouds of vapor will always be seen as clouds of smoke.  for me personally i vape where ever i want.....out in the open when available and permitted....super ninja when not. People standing or sitting next to me have no idea.
However, standing in line at Disneyland, the person behind me couldn't figure out why they kept smelling pancakes(maple syrup) 🙀.

    Talking to people doesn't always work... sometimes I feel like a preacher trying to convert people to the church of the magic stick... People looks at you like you're  some weirdo blowing evil white smoke out of your mouth... something like this ;

My favorite place I sat down and vaped at has to be atop Fort Rock in Central Oregon. One of the most beautiful places. I left behind my two climbing partners and took off to a peak by myself for a quick vape. Sat for maybe 5 min or so, and looked out on nothing but flat farm land. Gorgeous.

Actually, YES, several places have banned perfumes and even strongly scented soaps due to asthmatic reactions that can be brought-on by exposure to their employees.  I've been in several businesses, hospitals, and even the local health-department with signs asking that you do not enter if you just bathed in your cologne/perfume.  And, it is within their rights as business owners to make such requests of their patrons.  Just like those that ban smoking, vaping, or "no shoes, no shirt, no service"... I support their rights.
Comp is right, we're fighting uphill, both ways, with our loose-leaf notebooks, in the snow... and those 1 or 2% that think it is their "right" to cloud-up anywhere they please are the same few that will cause all other vapers to be treated worse than the smokers... pariahs of the socially-acceptable and just-society!  Those clouding-up the grocery stores, shopping malls, and aisles of the local Wal-mart will be the only people our politicians think of when they ban and tax the C R A P out of all vaping-related gear!  So, be considerate of others, and be wary of your surroundings when you vape... The "nannies" are watching... always...

Establishments that are Vape friendly will need to up their game and be mindful of everyone. Designated areas to vape and the like. There is a line as vapers and places that allow vaping have to walk or they will loose business. If someone were to come into a place I had and was chucking clouds in a non designated area, I would either ask them to go to the Fog Room or, they would have to not Vape while in the area they were in.
We are fighting an up hill battle in some ways and I think people who vape should be mindful of the fact that not everyone wants to be around it.

No exact(or not exact) formula, everybody is so different. Personally I can go anywhere from 0 to 18, my only problem with the zero is the lack of throat hit, even when I doctor it up. I never had any particular reaction to cutting down nicotine, my addiction is totally hand to mouth (and apparently throat.)
I would think every couple of weeks or so should be OK, you can always keep a higher nicotine level on hand for any bad patches. Sometimes alternating the lower and higher can soften the symptoms
    BTW, congrats on six weeks!

Most of the time I have water or beer while I vape, but there are a couple of flavors I like with very specific drinks.
My ADV, which is a lemon & menthol blend from a local B&M goes really well with a drink I like to call a "Tennessee Twister" - Monster Rehab Tea & Lemonade flavor with a shot of Jack Daniels.
Then there is PBFB from Fadora.  For my taste buds, that pairs surprisingly well with a nice, cold Guinness (or just about any other stout).

In an effort to create some more areas for members to chit chat without it having to be vape related We've created the "Ask Vapor Talk" sub forum. Similar to Reddit's Askreddit you should post broad thoughtful or interesting discussion based questions to the community at large. Questions and topics don't have to be related to vaping. Some good examples (that you're welcome to use) are:
What tasty food would be disgusting if eaten over ice?  What are some must have Chrome extensions?  What's the coolest thing you can buy under $25 How do you subtly mess with someone? What's the best movie you've watched the completely twisted your mind? ALL TITLES SHOULD BE IN QUESTION FORM. And so on. Answers do not have to be serious and can be funn. However if you start a thread that you wish to have only serious answers then be sure to tag it with SERIOUS. Staff will moderate off topics and inappropriate replies only on topics that have this tag.

Hi, Denise, and welcome to VT!
Nicotine is not the evil that our government and media like to portray it as... yes, it is addictive, but not nearly as addictive (or dangerous) as the 4000+ other chemicals in cigarettes.  Nicotine is not carcinogenic (proven by multiple, independent labs, including the CDC/FDA)!  There is nothing written in stone that says you must taper down your Nicotine, but if you do, you do so at your own pace... some never lower their levels, some drop 3-6mg/ml ever few months/years.  Some people like me use lower levels most days, but still keep some 18-24mg around for really bad days
Nicotine is absorbed faster when it is heated... a tank/coil combo running at 2.0 Ohms and low Wattages will not be as hot as a sub-ohm tank running 0.2 Ohms and high Wattages.  This is another reason for keeping multiple Nicotine levels around.  When I'm sub-ohming, I use 3-6mg, when I'm using a traditional tank, I'm using 9-12mg, and some days higher.  Chain-vaping or casual vaping also affect what Nicotine level you want/need... If chain-vaping, you'll want lower levels because you're getting a constant feed of Nicotine.  If you can only vape a few minutes every couple of hours (shift work), then you may want much higher levels, to tide you over between breaks?
You'll slow the Nicotine at your own pace... or not at all... either way is acceptable, but don't rush the drop if you are trying to wean yourself away totally... Drop your levels too fast, and your body will crave it, and you'll be drawn back to the analogs, have stomach issues, headaches... basic withdrawal symptoms... such as the mood swing you've already experienced

I am 6 weeks off traditional ciggs and trying to taper down on the nicotine. Started with 12mg and 30 days later mixed 50/50 12mg & 6 mg = 9mg. I noticed a significant mood change the first week of this change but have since adjusted. I am curious to know how and how often others have tapered down. Is there a specific amount of time that needs to pass before decreasing levels, a suggested timeline?
    Thanks,
    Denise

I've been playing with e-cigarettes off an on for a couple of years. I've been smoking for 20 years. I've managed to quit a couple of times only to go right back to it. Started with the cig-a-likes, which only marginally worked for a couple of weeks, then back to smoking. Then I had an evod I would puff on a bit here and there. Took the plunge due to a sale at my vape shop and just got an istick. I think this was the trick, I haven't even wanted to smoke in 2 days and my juice keeps tasting better. Fingers crossed! Trying to convince the hubby to make the switch too! Well, that's my story, brief though it is. Nice to meet you! :)

I forgot it was shark week, but plan to watch a few here and there.
I am a hunter, and eat what I catch/kill... after Katrina hit the gulf-coast, I was in MS helping bring supplies to family that lived 30-miles from GulfPort.  While there, I heard they were begging archers and spear-fishers to take out the Bull Sharks that were deep into the fresh-water in MS and LA.  I took two males with archery gear   I kept a few teeth for necklaces and decoration, shipped some meat home, we had a fantastic family cook-out, and gave the bulk of the meat to the food-bank to help with disaster relief.
I'm with Tam... I prefer my sharks on TV or on a plate... even being in the safety of a big air-boat (with spears, arrows, and a rifle) with Bulls (many over 10') swimming around... I was terrified because they were HUNGRY!  I've swam (scuba) with dozens of species in the Atlantic off the coast of FL, but none so deadly as Bulls, Tigers, Hammerheads, or Great Whites!

Personal use primarily.  I do mix for a couple of friends and co-workers, and I charge them a little... under local B&M rates... to offset my costs of supplies (actually, they usually buy enough to completely cover my costs, over time).  I've thought about my own lines, because my friends say what I mix for them is better than what they get at the shops.  I think they are just being kind, but they keep asking for more, so maybe they do like it?  I think it would just be too much trouble to go into huge productions, because it would become a "job", and not a "hobby", not to mention finding the venue to sell it?
To me, mixing juices is "fun", and gives me a chance to use my Chemistry degree, but making my own line of flavors might take the fun out of it?

Reminds me of the militant femi-nazi that came to our back table in a restaurant about 25-yrs ago.  My wife was breastfeeding our newborn son, completely covered and discreet, and I doubt more than 4 people in the restaurant even knew we were IN that booth.  Anyway, she came over and started ranting about how shameful it was to expose a breast like that, and she should do such wicked things in the bathroom, where it belongs, because "real people" were trying to eat a civilized meal.
I stood up, walked over to her table, and picked up her plate... started walking... she screamed at me because I had dared to touch her plate, and demanded to know what I was doing...   I turned to her and politely said (in front of the whole restaurant)  "I'm taking your plate to the women's restroom. If my son has to eat his meal in there, it will be good enough for you too, right?"
The manager stopped her before she could hit me, and asked her (and her timid/whipped husband) to leave, immediately.  We, on the other-hand, received our meal for free, and were welcomed back

Actually it is not exactly your right to vape where you want. It is most definitely illegal to vape on about every US airline and I am seeing "No E-Cig" signs popping up everywhere. People that think they can vape anywher without ramifications willl continue to cause restrictions to be enhanced. I vape everywhere I can but if in question I ask. I do not have a bigger pet peeve, other than maybe cloud contests, than vapers especially subohm cloud blowers thinking they can fog up everywhere they go. In restaurants I excuse myself to the bathroom if I need a few draws unless it is openly allowed. I vape all day and low my employees to do the same at the businesses I run, in my car, home and almost anywher outside regardless but in stores, restaurants and other indoor public places I try to be discreet.
A modicum of discretion will go a long way to help instead of hurt our cause.

One of the good things is that vaping in the UK is starting to be self-regulated, shops don't sale any crap and they have a good knowledge.... in fact I only trust my local vaping shop, and I won't buy from any other place.

I took my set up to the shop I bought it from today and he said my case is extremely unusual. He has replaced my 20 Istick with a new 20 Istick, give me a new different aspire tank and 6mg blueberry Hangsen liquid all for free and told me to try again. If I get even a hint of the same happening again I will take it all back get a refund and go back to my old set up.
heres hoping all goes well now because it really wound me up
