  1. Hi all.. I'm just getting into vaping. I tried once before & the crappy e-cig I bought in 7 11 made my chest feel heavy & was not a good vape at all. I recently learned that.. um yep.. that's what happens when you buy a cheap piece of crap. I decided to make the switch for a few reasons. First off... I am really sick of smoking cigarettes. I can't light up anymore without thinking of all the garbage I'm inhaling. Also... I like the idea of being able to "smoke" at work without having to step outside. Another thing is.. I don't smoke at home because it triggers my girlfriend's asthma. It would be nice to fulfill the urge while relaxing on the couch or with my morning coffee AT the kitchen table again. One thing I noticed too is.. I don't always need a full cigarette. usually I'm good after 2 or 3 drags, but then I feel obligated to smoke the whole thing because they're so damn expensive. With an e-cig I'd just get what I need & put it down.

    Time To Fess Up

I can relate to what that Wiki info is talking about. Part of the whole reason I won't go back to standard resistance is because I just can't seem to get that big beautiful cloud of vapor with a SR atty. If I'm vaping, I gotta see the cloud Otherwise, a hit is just not satisfying for me. Weird, I know. Lately I've been vaping about 3-5 mls of 6mg per day. How that relates to what I was getting for nic when I was smoking a pack per day of Marb lights, I have no idea. Some days I chain vape at work, just because my boss doesn't care, as long as it's not in view of the public. And at night when I'm hanging out on the computer, I pretty much chain vape. So yeah, I vape pretty constantly all day long lol. It wasn't as bad when the only battery I had wasn't a pass-through. At least I would take a break when it was charging. Now, I have a pass thru and no excuse to put it down :P

    Gas

Okay, I searched and didn't see this topic so I thought I'd post. It's a little embarrassing actually. Ever since starting the ecig I've developed extreme gas. Not only that but it smells awful. Is this directly related to general vaping or from the e-liquid that I am vaping? I am vaping 70 VG Butter rum flavor most of the time. I also use a clearomizer. Not sure what it's from but it's got to stop! LOL. I will have a very hard time dating and one of the reasons I quit smoking was to open up my options a little more! HELP.

  5. Got myself a new clearomizer, carrying case, and a small bottle of RY4 from Nic Station; a local vendor I wanted to scope out. The guy running the place seemed nice enough, and their prices aren't too bad....especially for mall kiosk. Dude said the clearo is a CE6, but I'm having serious doubts about that claim, as I'm having a hard time finding replaceable heads online, let alone a vendor that sells a 1.6 ml capacity CE6. (The ones I'm finding are all 5ml tanks.) Still looks nice, though. I'm really digging on it!!! Whether the clearo works out or not in the long term, it is nice knowing I have a local vendor that I can go pick up a single bottle of juice for less than the cost of juice + shipping from an online source in the event of running out of juice before my online orders arrive in the mailbox.

  6. Well look at it this way. You spend $5 to ship it back, but end up with almost $55 in store credit. That's a pretty good deal in my eyes.

  7. I get much of my stuff from ecig express...very good selection of supplies, flavors, nicotine, PG/VG. It takes a bit to build up supplies, especially flavors....so many flavors. My personal favorites are still flavor west and flavour Art. to start: keep things simple....I use a syringe and blunt needle. some 3 ml bottles are great for mixing in small amounts until you find a mix you like...much less to waste. if you have an android....I love the 'eliquid recipe manager'. very easy to use and can calculate multiple flavors. Merry Mixing !!!

    Hybrid?

Well if you look at the ihybrid for example it is a unit that is designed to be used in only one way. Most of our mods have a certain connection that allows us to plug in anything with that size connection. A hybrid can not use anything else but what was made with it. I don't know if that means they don't come apart or what. I don't have one. I just know that you can't slap on any ol' 510 atty onto a hybrid and expect it to work. I hope that helps some. I don't know of too many hybrids myself but lord knows there plenty I'm sure. I know of the ihybrid and I think zen makes one too.

  9. After a bit of use, I think I like the VAMO. I have noticed that the battery just stops firing on low resistance cartos much sooner than on standard resistance. I know low resistance mods on VV/VW mods seems silly, but I have a ton of them, and it's been hard to wean myself off them. The 1.5 cartos start to peter off when there is about 3.6 volts left on the battery - but I throw on a standard resistance carto, and get a lot more time out of it. I don't know if that is normal or not, but it is what it is. They did ship me the new unit with the upgraded springs, and the rattle issue is gone. I am quite happy with it. Of course, the issue is still ongoing - since only one of the units was broken, they told me to ship the broken one back, and they would replace it, and send a new spring along with the replacement for the unit that worked. When the package arrived - they shipped me an extra VAMO by mistake. I contacted them to let them know (it just didn't feel right just to keep it), and they offered me some store credit if I would send it back. That was nice and everything (not that I'd be using it anytime soon), but they told me they couldn't give me a shipping label, but they would instead give me more store credit to "reimburse" me for the shipping cost. Maybe I'm weird, but that just irritated the hell out of me. I'm happy to send the thing back, but hell - I don't want to have to PAY for it...

  10. I think Steve had a dud, because I use my vamo / chrome, in both single and stacked mode both modes rocked for me. I like being able to run my vamo in short ( single 18350) mode at work, much easier then vaping with a light saber. At home hell I love Star Wars so I stack 18350's and become one with the force lol....

Here's a little something from Wikipedia's Electronic Cigarette page that I found very interesting: "Research carried out at the University of East London on the effects of using an electronic cigarette to reduce cravings in regular tobacco smokers showed that there was no significant reported difference between smokers who inhaled vapour containing nicotine and those who inhaled a placebo vapour containing no nicotine. The report concluded that although electronic cigarettes can be effective in reducing nicotine-related withdrawal symptoms, the nicotine content does not appear to be of central importance, and other smoking related cues (such as taste or vapour resembling smoke) may account for the reduction in discomfort associated with tobacco abstinence in the short term." Hmmm.

  12. My dad, 72, quit smoking cold turkey when he was in his forties. When I turned in my cigs and started vaping, he was curious about it and asked me if they made anything that tasted like cigars but with no nicotine. I told him about some cigar flavored juices I'd heard about that were nic-free, and he now "cigar-puffs" EC Blend's Cuban Gold 0-nic for taste only.

I've recently been vaping butter rum and coconut with extra vg(about 40% vg). I haven't noticed an increase in gas or a more deadly aroma than normal. I sometimes wonder if they are as flammable as they used to be. Anyone ever take a cigarette lighter and..... oh, nevermind.

Yep,I had an issue with too much VG giving me a sour belly. Certain juice flavors does this also. Usually if I keep the VG low it's not an issue,I try to stay around 20% VG or less.

Your body is going through a lot of changes and will probably continue to do so for some time until it adjusts to vaping versus smoking analogs. That said, have you changed your diet since you started vaping? Asparagus, broccoli, lots of red meat... those are some foods that produce less than preferable results.
