Since you guys are moderators maybe it would be possible to reverse the pages making the newest post first instead of last it's sort of backwards since the stuff on page one is from like 2012 and is antiquated with all the new types of mods and such.....
If someone was interested in seeing stuff from 2013 for instance.... they could "go back in time"
I don't know just an idea

Squid got a reaction from Christopher in Sup Folks, what tank are you using?
I tried TC, but really didn't notice a difference from VV/VW once they are set right for the tank/coil/juice combo. IMHO TC is ok, but not needed if you understand how to set your mod.  We all have been there, bump up from low until a slight burnt taste then back off a bit. One thing I did like about TC was when chain vaping you don't get the occasional dry hit. Only time I get those any more is using 70VG or higher juices in the subtanks, as the thicker juices don't wick as well as a 50/50 juice. I am a working stiff relegated by works rules to only vape on breaks. And yes if you up the watts, and have a TC mod you can see the display on while vaping, you will see the watts drop when you hit the temp limit. Basically depending on the TC mod you are using setting the watts will only change the ramp up time. Your Istick 40 can only set the temp in TC mode, I have one, I also have an IPV4s. The 4s is way better in TC than the Istick 40 IMO.
That being said, when at work I use a Nautilus mini tank on a VV/VW mod with 50/50 juice, just so I don't produce a ton of vapor, because I break the rules a bit. I find a nice quiet corner and vape indoors away from the smokers area where I am supposed to vape (Never realized how much cigs stink until I started vaping). I currently have a Smoant Knight, a Kangside luxury box and an Athena envy Plus for work. I also have a VTR, but it's on the fritz and haven't had time to T/S the prob. They are compact and easy to slide in my pocket. I recently started using a subtank mini in the Envy with a 1.2 ohm coil and the 50/50 juice, and it is working well. I also have a Tesla Stealth, that is basically an old e-go batt in another form factor. I only got it because of the submerged tank design and the description said "100 watts". It's limited to 100 watts and not adjustable at all.
When I don't have to worry about some clouds I like the subtank with a .5 ohm coil (I have 5 minis and a Plus) and 60vg/40vg to 70/30 juice, good balance of flavor and clouds. Or my favorite, except for the fact it's a juice hog, my Freemax Starre with a .25 ohm coil and the thicker juices, awesome flavor and good clouds for the visual "need" I seem to have left over from smoking. I would try one of the "Beasts", but burning through the juice like has been reported, I would go broke.
As it has been said many times by many members here, "What works for one person may not work for you." I say if the Nautilus is keeping you off cigs and happy stick with it. If you want some bigger clouds, time to look for another tank, the nautilus is a great tank for flavor, but lacks in cloud production. I am sure there will be others with tank recommendations.

Hearing about how the nanny state is getting out of control makes me glad I live where I do. A place down the road from me gets mistaken for a junkyard sometimes, the guy across the road flies a confederate flag below the American flag. Gunshots can be heard daily, and nobody pays any attention to it, I built a 100 yard shooting range in the back of my property, and some of my neighbors use it regularly.
Yes I may be old fashioned, but I like it that way, and I don't care if I offend somebody, and sometimes do it on purpose.
Rant over for now, have a nice day.

@Tam The office I use to work at tried that crap of "not in your personal vehicle, while on our property", but 500+ employees reminded them that we can park in a city lot (a mile away), and walk or take the bus to work, and let the homeless or circus set up tents in "their" parking lot... or all quit...  They saw the light and backed off, but they were pushing for more totalitarian control... no smoking in your car, no eating your lunch in your car, no weapons in your car, and the most egregious of the list... random inspections of your car (interior/trunk) while on their property... which is a total violation of our Constitutional Rights!
This state drives me nuts sometimes...  The whole of the state is mostly conservative, yet they keep electing Utopian Totalitarian Nanny-state Hippie Dems/Liberals/Socialists into the state and local governments... and then complain all day about how their rights are continually eroded
If I were there, you'd better believe I'd be in the front row... citing my 4th and 5th Amendment rights, and telling the school administration to take a long walk off a short pier!!
My property insurance agent recently came out and told me I had to cut down some trees because they posed a threat to the house if they fell... okay, I can see that... but 3-weeks later another guy came out to see if they had been removed... and then proceeded to tell me that I had too many cars in my driveway... the couch-style bench and two chairs on my porch didn't "look good", and that the English Ivy growing up one side of my house didn't "look good" and could be a "potential fire hazard" or "could push the house off the foundation"!  Ummm... it's my property and if I want 20 cars on blocks in the driveway and yard it's MY BUSINESS (BTW, the six vehicles and three motorcycles in my driveway all RUN and are driven regularly... I have 4 drivers in my house!), and I reminded him he worked for the insurance company, not Better Homes and Garden nor was he a Botanist...  If English Ivy were a hazardous plant, every University and government office in the US and UK would lay in ruins!  If they try any crap with my policy, I'll be happy to find another insurance company   Crap like this is why I'd NEVER live in an area with an HOA, lol... I'd be the guy with a bright pink mailbox and a Camaro on blocks in the front yard... just to piss them off...

Unbelievable. It's really amazing to me just how cheap some eliquid is. The 15 range for 30ml sounds about right. But 40 for 340ml makes me wonder why/how it's so cheap. (Not knocking it by the way!!) I have a phone call with Roger this evening to discuss lowering the price of the black label. I think a good chunk of it comes from the fact we're almost TPD compliant and the facility is ISO certified. (Trying to make up those costs) but there is wiggle room to bring it down. (I hate charge more if we can charge less!)
At any rate the feedback has been invaluable and I realize we're probably at the top end of pricing. There are many thing we can do to bring the price down (plastic rather than glass, different drippers things of that nature)

    Chris,
Maybe a sample pack of the 6 VT flavors, 5-10ml bottles? $30ish at 5ml bottles, maybe $50ish for 10ml? (kind of guessing on the pricing) I have ordered juices based on recommendations that turned out not so great and some that I instantly loved, but the ones that I really didn't like seemed like a waste. There were more dislikes than likes. I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for good juice if I know I like it. I would rather spend $5 on a 5ml sample bottle and find out I don't like it than $15 on 30ml and not like it. Not sure how the deeming Regs affect the bottle sizes.
And yes bigger bottles, 120 or 250ml would be great for sales IMO especially since the TFV8 seems to be a big hit, and it's a juice hog from what I have read. More product with less packaging should allow for some volume discount in price too.
And IMHO, ditch the dropper bottles for the VT brand, or at least offer a choice. I am sure the droppers are great for those that drip, but filling a tank like the Starre (not easy to fill with the dropper due to design), or a subtank plus (huge volume taking many "dip into bottle, squeeze, release, pull out of bottle, squeeze into tank) cycles is, for a lack of better wording, time consuming and can be messy. I would much rather the standard plastic bottles with the little pressed in tips. Or the york caps on the bigger bottles.

Local B&M is $5.99 for 10ml or 3 for $15.99 of 50/50 juice that they white label. The juice they mix on site is $15.99 for 30ml or 3 for $45.00. 70vg/30pg. I use both types.
My favorite juices, I can't get any more, were around $42.00 for 120ml depending on the mix. Plus around $6.00 shipping per order. I usually ordered 4 to 6 bottles at a time.

Squid reacted to Adversarious1 in FDA new PMTA FAQ's
It's a slow day at work.  Meetings were cancelled and as a result I have a lot of time on my hands.  Having a lot of time on my hands leads to boredom.  Boredom leads to Todd (Me - Adversarious1) to either getting into trouble or getting on soapboxes and dissecting the heck out of things.  So I've been sitting here reading and re-reading this FAQ from the FDA that @Christopher shared and I have been picking things apart in my brain.

The FDA is talking out of both sides of their mouth in their OWN answers in their OWN documents.  I think they are creating an intentional spin to confuse rather than clarify.  My case in point:

    •             a premarket tobacco application (PMTA) = in the low to mid hundreds of thousands of dollars (around $117,000 to around $466,000), not in the millions of dollars described by some others

That is only one small portion of the FDA response to the question, "What are the costs associated with submitting an application?"  I have a huge issue with the way the FDA phrased that.  The "not in the millions of dollars described by some others" is used way out of context on the part of the FDA and could potentially lead people (manufacturers, particularly e-liquid manufacturers) into a false sense of security.  I follow a number of different advocacy groups and I have not seen a single e-liquid manufacturer claim that a single PMTA fee is in the "millions of dollars".  Many have, however, stated it would cost them "in the millions of dollars" to go through the PMTA process for their entire line of e-liquids.  According to the next excerpt and my understanding, the FDA directly contradicts the "not in the millions of dollars" statement in a portion of the answer to the very next question that was addressed in the FDA's faq.

Each tobacco product application is a unique situation. However, generally speaking, a manufacturer could submit one premarket application for multiple tobacco products with a single, combined cover letter and table of contents for each product. However, when FDA receives a premarket submission that covers multiple, distinct new tobacco products, we intend to consider information on each product as a separate, individual PMTA. Where the same information applies to multiple products, it should be noted.

FDA considers each ENDS product with a differing flavoring variant or nicotine strength to be a different product.

According to page 94 of the Economic Analyses document that is linked above, there are two costs associated with e-liquid PMTAs.  One is listed as "PMTA, E-liquid, Initial Submission (Year 2)" and the other is listed as "PMTA, E-liquid, Years 3-20".  I don't know and I'm not going to pretend to know what the difference is without reading through the entire document, but the second statement highlighted above almost directly contradicts the first.

As I understand it, that fee is the fee for each e-liquid.  So if a manufacturer offers a single e-liquid flavor in a single strength (we'll use 0 nicotine for sake of argument) in a single size (let's say 30ml, again for the sake of argument), then the absolute lowest fee that manufacturer would be looking at is $117,486.  Yet if a manufacturer offers e-liquid in six different flavors, each flavor in a single ratio and each of those flavors is available in 4 different strengths for a total of 24 different e-liquids (provided the liquids were only available in one size), then 24 different PMTAs that would need to be submitted because, in their own words, they consider them different products.  That makes the figure jump to $2,819,664.

A more extreme example is one of my local B&M's.  Even though they sell vape hardware and accessories, their primary business is e-liquids.  They currently have 121 different flavors of e-liquid.  Yes, 121.  21 of those flavors come in multiple PG/VG ratios, which, again according to the FDA, qualifies them as different products.  So we are up to 142.  Each and every flavor/ratio is available in 6 different nicotine strengths; 0 nic, 3mg, 6mg, 9mg, 12mg and 18mg.  Each flavor at each strength is available in three sizes – 35ml, 60ml and 120ml.  This may be where the "Substantial Equivalency" portion comes into play; I'm not sure.  For sake of ease (and my sanity) I'm only going to count the possible flavor/nicotine contents.  142 flavors times 6 strengths comes out to 852.  Multiply that by $117,468 per application and you are looking at a whopping $10,008,736. Yes…over TEN MILLION DOLLARS!  That is at a single size per flavor.

And then you have the most extreme case I could think of – Fadora Vapor.  For those who have ordered from @Compenstine before, we know he will essentially custom mix each order.  I don't even want to try to figure out all of the possible combinations on the Fadora Vapor site, but the possible options on a single flavor in the basic line came out to 704.  That's right; 704 possible combinations of a SINGLE flavor.  There are over 50 flavors listed on the Fadora Vapor website and I know some of those flavors exceed 704 possible combinations because they are offered in more PG/VG ratios and/or more nicotine strengths.  Plus he offers the option of adding flavoring and/or extra sweetner for his flavors.  So for the sake of argument, let's round it down to 700 possible combinations of each flavor and limit it to 50 flavors total.  That would be 35,000 different PMTA's according to the FDA because it would be 35,000 different products.  Multiplied by $117,468 and you're looking at over $4.1 BILLION dollars in PMTA fees.  Yes...BILLION!

So the FDA's assertion that a PMTA is not in the millions of dollars is complete and utter bullit...err, hogwash.

I'll get off my soapbox for now, but stand by to stand by because I hear another soapbox calling my name.

I also know a society needs a certain number of laws, but right now I believe we have too many laws that infringe on our freedoms.

At work I use a nautilus mini on a regulated mod with a submerged design, ala the MVP. I have a MVP that is currently down, it's in my drawer to fix, a Kangside Luxury box and a Smoant Knight. I love the submerged tank design for work because I can drop it in any pocket on me and not worry about breaking the tank. (Anyone know of other mods like this? I want a few spares in case the deeming regs stick around.)
In the truck I have a Istick 50 with a subtank plus. 5 other subtanks that get used in a not so regular fashion on either my Tesla Stealth or the Istick. I also have a Freemax Starre that I love running a .25ohm coil in on my IPV4s that only gets used if I am in the garage or outdoors as it will fog the entire house up if I try to use it indoors.
I carry 2 spare 18650s in the outer pocket of my lunch box to work (In a protective case), a nitecore ui20 in my truck just incase and atleast 1 30ml bottle of juice for the subtanks and a couple 10ml bottles of juice for the Naut Mini also in the lunch box.
I have 2 sets of married cells for the IPV4s, 6 18650s for the others in rotation and have a LucV4 to charge at home.
For backups I have 2 subboxes, a Dopovo-65 and a couple Ego batts that I use once a month or so to make sure they still work.

In regards to the question "why get a 70 watt when 160 or 200 is available?"
I have been vaping for 6 years, and don't ever need that much power. I use either subtanks or a nautilus mini. I have a Starre tank paired to my IPV4s and have rarely gone above 50watts with it. The higher powered mods do have dual batteies, and will last longer between charges. But in my preference swapping out a battery sooner is better than spending more on a high powered mod. For me a 200 watt mod would be like having a Porche to commute 5 miles on city streets to work.
No offense to those that like the high powered mods, just putting in my 2 cents.

Let me know what you think, I am curious. My very recent experiences are mixed. I started with a 1.5ohm coil  in a subtank mini, but that didn't give me what I wanted. I put a .5ohm coil (after using for a bit) in and was really happy until I recharged the stealth. With a full charge I very soon got a slight burnt taste (5-10 hits). Pretty much the same results from every nonregulated (vv/vw) box/batt I have tried. I am thinking that a coil with .7ohm-1ohm or so may be the sweet spot, but I am not yet making my own coils. I really have to make the time to build a few in the RBA for the subtank and give it a try. My results were with a couple of Comps flavors at 40pg/60vg for comparison.
I really like the form factor, and if it was adjustable (vv/vw) I would order several more, even though I prefer a replaceable battery.

Being able to put it in my pocket is the reason I am always on the lookout for box mods like the Stealth, if it was vv/vw I would end up like Tam is with the istick 50 and have 5 or 10 of them.  I can drop it in my work shirt pocket and button the flap, or put it in the back pocket of my pants. I loved my VTR, but it can't be used with many tanks and they are too expensive for what they are to replace it (Plus it's a lot on the heavy side.). I have a Kangside Luxury box, that I got on sale somewhere, went to buy another and apparently they are discontinued. I have a Smoant Knight I haven't yet opened as well. I like the recessed tank, I actually think they are better that the pen types for putting in your pocket. I have pulled apart many eGo-Ts from having them in my pocket, probably from the flexing as I move, and even broke a couple CE4 tanks in my pocket.
