You are both correct.  The problem is with the Crown.  It has so much airflow I can not get a warm vape with 1.2 ohm coils.  In fact with the airflow open only a fraction it is not a good vape.  The .5 coils are better but in the 50+ watt range he is running the .25 shines.  It says it is for 80 to 100 watts, but with my juice 60 is pushing it.  The funny thing is the Crown is cooler at 55 watts than my NEBOX at 35, so it has to be the airflow.  (of course the Crown is putting out 2 to 3 times the vapor)
It is defiantly a cloud producing tank.  I only use mine at home, and as a backup, but it is by far my favorite tank!

In an unregulated MOD, Ohm's Law is the only way it works, lol...  Coil resistance and battery voltage determine the Wattage (output) and Amp-draw.  A 0.2 Ohm coil fired at 4.1V (fully charged single battery or two batteries in parallel-mode) will draw 20.5A (minimum) and output 84W.  This is safe as long as your battery (or batteries) are good batteries and rated 20A, like the Samsung 25R, Sony VTC4, or LG HE2/HG2.
Now, in series, two batteries are capable of double Voltage (8.2V), so at that power level, the Amp draw will be 41A and 336W of output at the coil   Your batteries won't handle that load, and @ 336W, neither will your lungs   In a Mech MOD, there's now way to "dial it down" either...  It's either full on, or full off, and the Wattage is solely determined by the coil's resistance and the Voltage provided by the battery/batteries!
A regulated box MOD will make your vape more consistent and controllable, than dealing with the constant Voltage drop of a draining battery in a Mech MOD.  I don't own either of the two regulated MODs you mentioned, but I've heard many positive things about the Wismec rx200.  @jasonculp will be along shortly to give you more info on larger box-mods like the rx200.
Let me add in this as well... Wattage ratings stamped on the factory coils mean very little... I frequently use a coil stamped 30-60W (for example) at a "comfortable" vaping range around 16-18W... to me, cranking it up to even 20W gives me a burnt taste, so you MUST also consider what your juice can handle...  As I like to say... just because your car's speedometer registers 150mph, doesn't mean you HAVE to pull out of your driveway at 150mph!!

I hear you. I switched to RTAs/subohm tanks for that very reason.
Coil wattage are guidelines. With Kanger Subtanks, even though some of their coils say can run up to 30W, I can't run it that high. I usually stay within 18-23W on stock coil.

I am not familiar with arctic and herakles coils, and their recommended wattage range. But, if you choose a conservative resistance coil, run it in parralel rather than series, and most importantly know the limitations of your batteries, you will be fine. I am sure that our resident battery experts (jasonculp and earthling) will chime in, and give you more precise and detailed info.

For example, I would not run a TFV4 0.15 ohm quad coil in 7.4V series configuration. I find more control with a purely variable voltage mod like Hexohm series.

I have had my share of bad coils lol. What I noticed, when a new tank comes out their stock coils are great. But after a few months it seems that QC goes down hill... and that is with every subohm tank I tried. That is why I stick with the RBA, and just have stock coils handy when I cannot be bothered with rebuilding.
Anyone else notice that, or is it just me?

    +1 to what earth said.
VTC4s are great! It does have lower capacity compared to 25R and LG HG2, and twice the price point (sometimes more) of 25R. Others who are not pushing very high wattage find 25R, etc are good enough for their needs.
If power requirements is more important than longer battery run and do not mind the price, authentic VTC4s  all the way.

As Jason indicated above... Sony is the MOST cloned battery or re-wrapped battery on the market, and unless you are absolutely sure you are not receiving a re-wrapped Trustfire or something like that... (i.e. buying from trusted source), it is best to get the Samsung or LG batteries (also from a trusted source), mostly because they are less likely to be re-wrapped junk, and they are also considerably cheaper than the Sony.

    LMAO that is great!
    I guess you are correct.
@iQuit is correct.  Nothing from Efest.  They make some fairly decent batteries, but you have to be very careful.  They released a batch of 35A 3000mah batteries that were proven to be LG MJ1s, a good battery but a 10A battery.  This has been proven by 3 independent testers, on who is a reseller of Efest batteries.  Efest has not only denied it but attacked 2 unpaid testers, who are only looking out for us.  This has turned into a moral issue for me...
I also think for the mod the 25R would be the best battery for the money.  It is slightly out of the continuous discharge range, but, it has been proven to be a very stable battery even if mistreated.
Sony VTC4 would probably be the best, but, unless you go to the vendors I mentioned earlier, or a very trustworthy, well known vendor, I wouldn't buy the Sony.  A good $5.00 25R is much safer than a $9.00 counterfeit Sony.
I also don't recommend the HE2 or HE4 if you are pushing the maximums.  They are great batteries, just not, not nearly as stable when pushed like the 25R.
I can't type short replies....  My recommendations seem to get lost in the stuff I feel like i need to say

Ohm mAH lord. Watt will I do with my lengthy geeky reply to Jason?
Anything but eFest. Jason made some solid cell recommendation. I'd go with those. Seriously, LG HG2 is good compromise with both mAH capacity and power head room to account for voltage sag. Samsung 25r is my second choice.

You will like the SS wire for building coils, there is very little spring to it, and its not as soft as Ni200 but not as hard as Kanthal either. I got 100m of 28g 316l in vape mail the other day so I will be good for a few years. I use 4 wraps around 3mm and get 0.5 ohms which is good for wattage mode or TC mode so now I don't have to remember what wire is in what tank all of them have SS coils.

You got pretty good information from someone.  VTC5 is a 20A battery.  You would be much better off buying VTC4's if you really plan on using 200 watts.  I don't know what your experience level is, or what other equipment you have, but 200 watts, day in and day out, if you can find an atomizer that can handle it, you should probably get 9 to 12 batteries if you plan on doing it all day.  You will also need to keep a charger handy as they will not have time to charge before you drain another set.  The on board charger will be no help at 200 watts either because it is can't charge them as fast as you will be draining them.

The reality of the situation is most people never get over 125 - 150 watts using a good build on a dripper.  You will possibly be using in temperature control so it may never hit 200 watts in the first place and if it does it will back off very quickly.  If you plan on playing in the 200 watt range I would definitely recommend the Sony VTC4 or the LG HB2 or HB6.  The LG's will handle much more load, but do not have the capacity of the VTC4.  At high wattages I also recommend keeping your batteries married, so you will need at least 3 and 6 is better.  I also never recommend charging in the mod, only external chargers.  With 6 batteries you can be charging 3 while using 3.
I run LG HG2's in mine most of the time, but it will probably never see over 100 watts.  My TFV4 and my juice seems to like the 80 watt range and no higher.  The Crown likes around 60.
The most important thing is to buy your batteries from a reputable place.  Vape shops and Ebay are one of the largest suppliers of counterfeit batteries.  (Most of the time the sellers don't even realize it)
Here are some of the better places to buy them.  I have used all 3 and gotten great service and good prices:
    Liion Wholesale
    ILLUMN
    RTD Vapor

    Agreed!
The battery is essentially being short-circuited through the meter. As the only thing limiting the current is the resistance of the wiring, connections, and the fuse.  Useless for determining the battery's rating and a really bad thing to do to the meter!

    I understand!
I think all of this stuff is interesting, but not something that I really use every day.  I don't care what my mod it set at, or how one is different from the other.  If it is too hot....I turn it down.  If it is too cold....I turn it up.  No matter what the manufacturers, and reviewers say this stuff isn't that accurate.  The only thing I expect is for it to be consistent, not necessarily from mod to mod or tank to tank, but when I push the button it gives me a uniform vape from the top of the tank to the bottom.  I also want it to keep from blowing the top of my head off with a bad dry hit.
Don't get me wrong.  I love the technology, the numbers and all of the associated nerdy stuff, but for day to day use, give me a good consistent vape, and I am happy!

Caution a bunch of nerdy crap ahead!
TCR is Temperature Coefficient of Resistance.  This is a value that tells the mod how much the resistance will change in the coil compared to the change in temperature.
    Ni200 has a TCR of 6000 X 106             A .175 ohm coil at 58F will be at 2.68 ohms at 572F.
    SS304 has a TCR of 1016 X 106         A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.28 ohms at 572F.
    Kanthal has a TCR of 2 X 106             A 1 ohm coil at 58F will be at 1.0007 ohms at 572F.

So the higher the TCR the more relative change in ohms as it heats up.  This is why Ni200 is still the most accurate as it changes more (higher TCR) as it heats up.
Some mods let you custom tune the TCR such as DNA200 or Joyetech VTC mini to make it more accurate based on the wire you are using.
If a mods TCR is set for 304SS (1016 X106) it thinks a .5 ohm coil is 572F when it hits 1.2844 ohms BUT, if you are using 316SS it will be 470F at the same 1.2844 ohms, because it has a TCR of 880 X 106.
I hope that isn't too confusing.

60 watts in power mode is doing good.  It really doesn't like my 50/50 juice though.  It is trying to flood.  I guess I need to try 70 - 75 watts, but I am already spinning from the 60 watts, and I can't see my television for the fog

I finally got the first 2 shipments of my Vapocalypse panic purchase.

    Sorry for the terrible pictures.
I hope this lasts a while.  I hate to say I have DIY supply order on the way, and a cart full of tanks that should tide me over, no matter what happens.
    (1) Reuleaux RX200
    (2) Joyetech VTC mini
    (2) Wismec Persa 75W TC
    (1) NEBOX
    (1) TFV4 Mini
    (1) Crown Tank
    (2) Crown RBA
    (5) Crown .25 ohm SS coils
    (3) Black Glass for the Crown
I am currently vaping the Crown on the Reuleaux.  I am having a hard time adjusting to the much larger size, and cooler, but bigger vape. The NEBOX really has me spoiled with it's smaller size, it just isn't the best TC mod out there.

I am with you on this one. For tinkering, DNA200 mod is real pleasure to play with. But I find myself wanting to play more with different types of wires, and fooling around with escribe. In that regard, it is really, really worth it.
Having realized that I spent more time tinkering, rather than savoring my vape, I sold mine and got several mods instead ( Cuboid, evic VTC minis, Hexohm V3 clone, and RX200s). Big part of that decision is preparation for vapocalypse, in case it happens for real this time. But hey, if vapocalypse turns out to be just like the Mayan calendar prediction  , I am all set for gear for a long while. I can then revisit DNA, or be highly selective on newer gear.

I really don't know.  I have never used a DNA200.  I have talked to a few people who feel it it not worth the price difference, and few that say it is worth it.
For me, at this time, it is not worth the price.
I am trying to load up on spares.  I can buy 3 evic VTC mini's for the price of one DNA mod.  If Vapocalypse happens, I would rather have 3 mods than one.  I personally don't see myself ever needing more than 50 - 60 watts (I have been stuck at 40 for many months) but I got the RX200 just in case.

Whoa... that's one way to alienate a segment of your demographic market as a premium supplier. I'm not cloud chaser nor participate in any competitions, but I respect everyone's vaping methodology, or how they spend and choices in their gear for that matter. Not sure if this post is an attempt to be edgy, entertaining, or expressing how you really feel about how others vape. If you are truly conveying concern about the possible ramifications on safety and how it may impact regulations, there are more objective ways in expressing them without prejudice. Organized competions or not, somewhere, someome, without the proper equipment and know-how will have an accident. At least with venues like these, you have experienced cloud chasers mentoring others new to the scene. And kudos to the organizer for temporarily shutting it down to hold a safety course. Maybe in the future, all events will hold one prior to the start of an event.

Taxes does not bother me either. My vaping budget does not affect my other hobbies when they get taxed. But I do feel for the smaller vape business that will be affected by it.

I don't know what the big deal is with not able to vape in outside areas. At least with vapers that I do know... we don't vape in stadiums or public beaches, or anywhere where analogs are prohibited. Sure it is not the same as analogs, but public do not know that. All they see is what appears to be smoke coming out.
Some stealth vapers are very good at being not noticed, others fail at it miserably, and then there are a few who outright flaunt it where ever.

It is just like I do not walk around with a bottle of Glenfiddich and take a swig at it where it is socially unacceptable.

Congrats on ditching analogs, Adversarious1. Cali is still one of the best states to live in... despite the severe drought we are having. haha

AR, LA, AL, and I think a couple more states are pushing for higher tobacco taxes.  Louisiana  at least is transparent and said that they need the extra revenue to overcome their deficit. Other states are using their public health department as a platform before proposing tobacco tax hikes, and sadly that includes smokeless and vape products... if they pass.

Tax revenue are more addicting than nicotine lol
